The place absolutely blew us away! The moment we walked in, the cosy, elegant vibe made the whole evening feel special. The mix of Peruvian and Japanese flavours is honestly a dream — every dish was beautifully presented and full of fresh, bold flavours.
The kids had the best time — they loved the juicy steaks and chicken, and even the fresh sushi was a big hit! The truffle rolls were unforgettable, the mains were cooked to perfection, and the desserts tasted like pure art.
The team were so warm and welcoming, especially with families, and watching the chef make the sushi rolls right in front of us was such a fun moment for the kids.
If you’re looking for affordable fine dining with a unique twist, Ayllu is definitely a must-visit. We’ll 100% be coming back! Thanks to Foysal for an excellent costumer service.

I had such a wonderful experience at Ayllu Restaurant. From the moment we walked in, the decor was stunning, warm, stylish and inviting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special evening. The service was excellent throughout; our waiter was attentive, friendly and made us feel truly welcome without ever being intrusive.

The food was absolutely incredible. Every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented and a real celebration of fresh ingredients and creativity. Each course felt thoughtfully prepared and exceeded our expectations.

Altogether it was a fantastic dining experience with amazing food, outstanding service and a beautiful setting. I cannot wait to return and would highly recommend Ayllu to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

We came here for the 8 course tasting menu from Virgin experience. The restaurant is beautiful inside but as the weather was good everyone was sitting outside.
We got directed to our table, waited around 15 min for the waiter to come. Nobody passed him information that we have a voucher so that was a first sign of the poor communication. He told us he will check what we have included. For the next 30 min we didn’t hear from him which was very frustrating. We didn’t know if our voucher is sorted, or if they forgot about us. After this time we got our first course. All the food was delicious but it would so much nicer experience and less stressful if there would be any communication from the staff.

I would recommend the experience but their customer service needs to improve.

Excellent food and service. Busy even at 6pm on a Monday.

Between the two of us we ordered the Chicken Karaage, Chicken Bao, Aubergine Bao, Black Cod, Peruvian Fries and Yucas!

Chicken Karaage and the chicken Bao were delicious. The Aubergine was somewhat of a disappointment.

I personally liked the black cod but the taste was too much for my partner.

The fries were normal but the Yucas was nice. Very strong flavours.

Booked on a very short notice for a Sunday lunch with my wife. It’s a little bit hidden in a basement. Service was quick and good was good. Not overwhelming but good. Only brunch menu available, which was bottomless. Restaurant had a live DJ and was playing good tunes, for my liking a notch to loud.
Not sure why we had some samba dancers out for 5 min and doing as show, but that’s quite entertaining. Lucky they did not ask me to join in dancing, as they did to other guests.

Most of our fish, vegetarian and chicken dishes are Halal. Please let your waiter know so we can make sure there is no cross-contamination when preparing the order.

Lovely vibe to this restaurant and the food is excellent, but 1st impressions let it down.  3pm on a Friday, very quiet downstairs and no one to greet us upon arrival, waited nearly 5 minutes, bar staff ignored us and receptionist disappeared upstairs as we arrived. She eventually greeted us and took our coats and bags, went to make sure our table was ready upstairs.  A further 3 to 4 minute wait. Taken upstairs and sat in a 1/3rd full restaurant right next to a Christmas party of 8, sharing a bench seat!
Still water order taken and didn't see a member of staff to talk to for the next 10 minutes.  We asked to be moved and she agreed it would be a good idea. We were moved and from there everything was great, but we were within minutes of walking out, over 20 minutes from arrival.
Food was excellent and wines not stupidly priced. Had the Signature 1 sharing menu for £65pp, loads of food and had a welcome rest after the onslaught of the varied starters,  middle courses before the mains.
Overall loved the food and servers were good but 1st impressions nearly lost us for good.
Best courses: Saturday Maki (sea bass), Polo Den Miso (chicken), and Squid Tempura.
For £100+ pp, I would expect more from service, not sure for this reason if I would return.

Food was amazing. It is highly recommended.

We went for a brunch deal and really enjoyed our time there! Starting from the decor and services and of course delicious food! For brunch it was more Japanese than Peruvian influence I would say but the quality was really good. The dessert was the weakest part and you could tell there was a huge difference when competing to the rest of the meals. Really good value for money considering location. I would go back and this time select regular menu as I really liked some items I had like udon carbonara or sashimi! Highly recommend!

This place has got it all! Good vibe, great food and amazing service. We were treated to the perfect meal at the end of a busy week. The decor in the place is super "soho cool" and comfortable for all types of occasions. Food options are amazing and wish I could have tried everything on the menu, which means I will definitely be returning to try some other options.  Really impressed with the service too from arrival to departure very friendly and accommodating,  thanks to the guys and girls I met especially Jordan, Chilli and Austin, an all round 5star rating from me.

From the moment we walked in, the team made us feel genuinely welcome, attentive, friendly, and perfectly timed throughout the evening. The food was outstanding, especially the sushi rolls. The atmosphere had a great energy, balancing sophistication with comfort. I also have to mention the Sakura Negroni, a beautifully crafted drink with a unique twist that complemented the meal perfectly. Overall, an exceptional dining experience that I’d happily recommend.

Great experience for both food and service! There was a lady who ushered us in with class and helped us to the table, as well as the elegance of Jay throughout our at-table ensemble. The cherry on the cake undoubtedly, as the food exceeded expectations also. 10/10 would recommend.

Knocked a couple of stars off service as it wasn’t particularly attentive, they just kind of plonked the dishes in front of us without any kind of description which is unusual for a tasting menu. We had to ask for the menu back to see what we were eating. But what we ate was really good and I’d definitely recommend, the starters were among some of the best dishes I’ve ever eaten anywhere.

Had lunch at Bamboo-Mat Stratford and it was a great experience! The ambiance is stylish and modern, and the food was fresh and full of flavor. The service was also friendly and quick. Highly recommended.

Best tasting menu I’ve ever had! For £62 per person you get extremely large plates of delicious dishes that reflects Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Not only was the food astonishing, the service was fantastic as well.
