Amina served us food with a big smile😊 and kindness. The food was fresh and delicious😋. We felt very comfortable, peaceful environment. Linda's final touche was fantastic.

Absolutely love this place. My family and I visit frequently for weekend brunch. Coffee is amazing and also love their fresh smoothies. A lot of options to choose from, especially love the french toast and also love their cream cakes😋! They have a fantastic bakery selection too for fresh breads. Food is high quality and feels healthy.

I have also ordered cakes from here for special occasions and everyone loves the cakes. We recently tried the afternoon tea and it was yummy, very generous portions too.

We love the outdoor option for seating, makes it feel like we are abroad 😎.

I had brought a fresh cream gateaux today for the first time from here and it was terrible. There was liquid dripping from the base of the cake which was something very weird from the cake. Once it was cut open in front of the family and friends, it was soggy and sponge had collapsed from soaking up all the liquid if the syrup coated whole fruits that was inside. It was embarrassing, and was thrown in the bin. Really not worth the £36 that I had paid.
I am not sure those working there know what was inside the cake. If they did, this kind of cake was certainly not made fresh and had been sitting there for a few day at least. This kind of cake cannot be shelved for more than 6 hours or if it was frozen, defrosting it for sale during the day is also not right. I know I won't get a response or a refund for this. Just be aware for those who will choose to buy a cake from there in the future. I certainly will not.

It was on my list to visit Belgique before covid, but then it never happened. Finally, today I got to visit with a friend, and I absolutely loved the place, staff’s cordial, patient and  friendly service with no rush and hush to shoo us out as soon as we finish eating, it holds much bigger space than it seems from front.
Preparations were quite nice and fresh. I really enjoyed their patisserie and chamomile tea.
I even got some patisserie as take away for my kids and really enjoyed Hazelnut eclairs, Orange blossom.

Lovely space, lovely preps and very cordial staff..its first but definitely not last. I will visit again and again.

Just visited for breakfast, food was okay. The cappuccino had a burnt taste, when this was brought up with the staff they weren’t willing to take on the feedback and was just plain rude. We could also not drink the Cortado as it was more milk than coffee even with a double shot! Staff was not willing to accept responsibility - won’t be coming back.

Absolutely amazing brunch place. From the moment we walked in, some of the staff were warm and welcoming. However one staff in particular just placed the menu down in front of us without speaking to us or even looking at us. It was also pretty hard to call a waiter when you needed one. But besides that everything else was fine. The atmosphere is cozy yet vibrant perfect for a relaxed brunch date.

We ordered the Farmer’s breakfast, the Mediterranean Splash and the Oreo cookies and cream pancake. For drinks we ordered a hot chocolate, a raspberry heaven smoothie and a passion storm smoothie. The Raspberry heaven smooth included Raspberries, blueberries, mango, apple and the Passion storm included  Passionfruit, papaya, pineapple, peach, guava, aloe vera. The mug they served the hot chocolate in was so pretty I wanted to take it home with me.

The food was amazing, so many differently flavours all nicely meshed together. The meal was definitely filling. We didn’t find anything wrong with our meal, it was so good that once we finished it we wanted to get more of the same thing. Instead we tried the Oreo pancake, and it was too good. It wasn’t too sweet and it didn’t lack sweetness either, it was the perfect mix. One of the best, actually no, they are best the best pancakes I’ve ever tasted, I must have more.

I’ll definitely be back and I’d order both again, because I can’t choose between the two. It is on the pricier side but I don’t regret it. You can tell they put real care into every detail, from the service to the plating. This place has definitely become my new go-to brunch spot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and great aesthetics.

I didn’t get much pictures inside because I was too busy stuffing my face but the decor is really nice. They’ve also got an extension in the back that opens up into a sunroom kind of thing, which is quite nice. The restaurant is spacious and is kept very clean.

We went back to Beans and Bites because of how much I like their pancakes but the Orion size was significantly smaller. The first time I can I got 5 pancakes, this time around I only got 3. Very disappointed with the downgrade especially since it’s still £15. £15 for 5 pancakes is good £15 for 3 is disrespectful.

Beans & Bites, Hackney – A Birthday Breakfast to Remember ★★★★★
My wife decided to treat me to a birthday breakfast, and she absolutely nailed it by taking me to Beans & Bites in Hackney. From the moment we walked in, the place felt special: a stunning living wall of lush greenery, warm pendant lights, and that perfect cosy-yet-Instagrammable vibe that makes you want to linger all morning.
The food? Pure theatre, in the best possible way. They don’t just serve breakfast – they stage it. I went for their famous thick-cut brioche French toast mountain, drenched in pistachio cream, crowned with an upside-down waffle cone “hat”, fresh rose petals, mint, berries, and even a little snowflake decoration. It looked like something out of a fairy tale and tasted even better – fluffy, buttery, indulgent, with that gorgeous nutty pistachio drizzle running everywhere. My wife had the full English platter, beautifully presented with perfect sunny-side-up eggs, crispy halloumi, roast beef bacon, beans, grilled tomatoes, and fruit on the side. Every component was spot-on.
Drinks were just as impressive: a silky hot chocolate with artful swirls and cocoa dusting for me, and an iced pistachio rose latte (served with a cute syringe of extra rose syrup to customise) for her. Both were delicious and ridiculously pretty.
Service was warm, attentive without being overbearing, and they even brought out a little birthday sparkle without us asking – the little touches that make a celebration feel genuinely celebrated.
Beans & Bites calls itself “The Art of Breakfast” and, honestly, that’s exactly what it is: creative, generous, beautifully executed dishes in a space that feels like a mini escape from London life. If you want a breakfast (or brunch) that’s as much a treat for the eyes as it is for the taste buds, this is the spot.

The best pancakes I ever had! It was my Friend's birthday when we went there September and we had an amazing time. The staff was extremely sweet and accomodating. We went there around the closing time so the place was not too busy but we had the terrace to ourselves!

There is a huge selection for the food here, and we really wanted to try everything. Food was great, and we were quite satisfied with it. I love how our orders were presented!
Price was mid range (not too cheap, not too expensive). Service was good as well.

Visited for breakfast with my husband. Lovely decor! Plenty of seating available. Great menu options, from traditional breakfasts to wraps, pancakes & waffles. Food & drinks was fresh and good quality and lastly great service. We Will definitely be returning, when in the area.

I always judge sausages with any breakfast dishes. You can tell these ain’t your typical cheap sausages. Good tasty meaty and beefy sausages. Just a good old classic breakkie. With breakfast prices everywhere going close to £15, getting a breakkie under 10 is a win win

My fav has to be this steak and egg. Amazing tender and melt in your mouth pulled beef with Avocado which gave a nice little creamy texture. This was really good. Must try

This probably might be one of the best pancakes I’ve had. I mentioned few times buttermilk pancakes that have a fluffy yet flakey cakey texture are the ones. This was exactly that. The edges have a nice caramelised crust giving a nice little crunchy twist.

First Aussie french toast. Most know I can’t do fruity. I probably would’ve enjoyed this without the fruity stuff. The bread itself was soft and had texture and crunch from coconut infused. Wasn’t for me because of the fruits but I can tell those who like fruity will defo enjoy this

I tried one of their burgers. The butter chicken was calling my name. Lol I had it and I was surprised them burgers were fricking amazing. Probably one of the most juiciest chicken thigh I’ve had. So crispy and tender chicken inside. The butter chicken gravy was drenched on the top. I would’ve drenched and dipped the whole thing for this burger

This is an amazing little spot for all-day food. I really enjoyed the Bombay Breakfast — it was unique and delicious. The soft brioche bun paired with the spicy keema was perfect and really hit the spot. My friends tried the Classic Breakfast and the Spicy Burger, and they enjoyed their meals as well.

Customer service was excellent, and the team at the front was very polite and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Food: Lovely food. The platter was great and good portions. The chops, pulled beef, strips were yummy. The wings could have been a bit tastier.
Price: Great price for the food and quality.
Atmosphere: Very nice and comfortable. Perfect for couples, families or friends. We went for a birthday and 8 of us ate.
Service: Amazing service. The staff were great and got a complimentary Chai Latte.

Plenty of parking nearby (pay and display), Sunday parking is free ofcourse.

A very busy place on the weekends, popular and amazing food. The food looks stunning and tastes wonderful too. I went for the Bombay Brunch, Spicy Chicken Keema with kidney beans, runny egg, crispy onions, spring onions and buttered brioche buns. The chilli sauce is delicious.

A warm cozy place tucked in the side streets of Ilford. I true gem of a find. Saud in the photo gave hreat service too.

Our go to place for breakfast and its worth the hype. The full English is always tasty and the portion sizes are very generous. The French toast always hits the spot and almost feels like you're having dessert for breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff and the food was served promptly which is always good when you have kids with you.

Lovely place to meet up with friends for brunch. The food was freshly cooked, well presented, and tasted great. The place was packed, and I can see why — it has a great atmosphere.

The service from the young staff was excellent — they were friendly, very helpful, and accommodating.

Highly recommend!

I used to go there quite frequently for their chai. I was never a huge fan of their breakfast, but yesterday my friend and I ordered chicken karahi naan, which unfortunately was not fresh.

On her very first bite, my friend said there was something wrong with it. I tasted it but didn’t notice anything at first. By the time she had eaten half of the naan, I took a bite of the chicken and immediately noticed it was sour. That’s when I realised it wasn’t fresh.

I informed the receptionist, but he insisted that they always use fresh ingredients. However, after two hours, we both became sick, started vomiting, and had to take medication.

I was really disappointed and have decided to completely boycott this restaurant.

This was one of the most disappointing customer service experiences I have had in London. The staff communicated in an unprofessional and discourteous manner and were unable to manage orders efficiently. Despite repeated inquiries, no clear or reasonable estimated waiting time was provided, and customers were simply told to wait without proper explanation. I strongly recommend that the restaurant invest in proper staff training, particularly in customer communication, time management, and service standards. Improving staff behaviour and professionalism would greatly enhance the overall customer experience.

Me and my friends went there for breakfast. At first we felt like the items were a bit pricey. Although we ordered chicken jalferezi, lamb bhuna, anarkali daal and naan.  After receiving our food we were pretty much disappointed with the portion. It was so little for our expectation.  And lastly the taste was mediocre, we had higher expectations for this store and the brand. We couldn't finish our food and left it without any takeaway.

This was our first visit with family of 3. We had good time and enjoyed the taste of foods, gentleman who was serving us made our food time more enjoyable with his friendly and informative service from the till as well as was getting feedback about how was the food.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

A completely less than average experience. We stopped by after an appointment at the nearby hospital, got two karak teas and a chicken cheese naan (around £12 total). The teas were pleasant. The naan took a while to make - after ten minutes we asked the lady behind the counter how long and she said 10-15 minutes! For a naan that is crazy, makes me think it is pre made and cooked from frozen. Then when the food finally arrived, we were the only ones in the shop and she called the order out, for us to collect it from the counter. There is literally no service here - minimal unhelpful interaction. The naan itself was super greasy and you could not taste any chicken whatsoever.

If you’re craving quick, flavour-packed comfort food, this place is such a win. The naan is soft, fresh, and perfectly cooked — not dry, not chewy — and the fillings are generous and full of flavour. Every bite feels warm, indulgent, and satisfying without being too heavy. Perfect for quick lunch we had cholaa bhatura 🩷

Awful experience. The main door is broken and doesn't shut properly, so the entire store is freezing, especially in mid-December. There was no heating, and it was extremely uncomfortable inside. The tables were also very dirty and stained, which made the place feel unhygienic.

I also ordered a karak chai which used to be around £1.50, but I was charged £3.20 for a medium. That price increase is unbelievable and doesn't match the quality or experience. Really disappointing.

We had been on our way to get take away kebab rolls from Tayyabs, which is our go-to place in the area.  However, it was raining and miserable and we didn't fancy eating out in the rain. I hate eating in at Tayyabs but that's another review, so we saw this interesting looking place with amazing looking karak chai in the window so we ducked in. It was quite empty when we arrived and we had a ponder and ordered a stuffed bread each and a couple of chai.
We were 4 people and we had the achari chicken naan, potato and cheese naan, lamb qeema masala naan and lamb dum paratha. We tried both the masala and karak chai, and it was great there are full flavour, less sugar and no sugar options!
We had the less sugar, and it was plenty sweet enough!
There's a clean loo and nice clean tables and booths.
We were still hungry so ordered a portion of bhatura, which is 3 pieces and only £1.95!
We had channay, with egg on top, but the flavour wasn't one we were used to, so that was the only dish we weren't so keen on.
To finish, we had to try the karak maska, which wasn't on the menu, but we saw it on a screen advert, which was clotted cream sandwiched between 2 pieces of brioche bread loaf, and a cutting chai cupful of karak chai to pour over the top.  You then eat with a spoon.
Utterly divine!
Would highly recommend and would also go out of my way to go here. There are a few branches around London, but none really in convenient locations to me, just like with some of the other mini chains of desi places. :(
The service was very polite and super patient with the inevitable uncle complaining about the cost of a cup of chai, but seriously the quality of the chai was top notch, possibly made with condensed milk, and so delicious and mouth watering, I couldn't fault it at all.

We visited NaaAn Stap and ordered Aloo Paratha, Palak Paneer Paratha, Lamb Gravy, Cajun Naan, and Karak Chai. The Aloo Paratha was decent, and the sauce on the side was nice. Unfortunately, the rest of the food was quite disappointing. The Lamb Gravy was far too oily — it felt like it had way too much ghee, which made it heavy and unpleasant. The Palak Paneer Paratha wasn’t good either. On top of that, the customer service was slow, which made the experience less enjoyable. Overall, apart from the Aloo Paratha and sauce, the food and service left much to be desired.

I popped in to this place to have a quick lunch having only one hour to eat. The service was very friendly, efficient and there was a very cozy vibe. I had a black coffee, it was well made, but it wasn’t too much for my liking, as I don’t like acidic coffee, but this is solely my preference. For food I ordered Turkish eggs, with some halal sausage on the side. Eggs were excellent, I added a generous amount of salt and pepper and it was delicious! They have a wide selection of cakes, desserts, fresh juice and Icecream. The menu has something to suit everyone’s taste.
The time overall was very relaxing.

We have tried a very delicious Halal English Breakfast.
The staffs are very friendly and provided the top notch service.
Loved the environment it is neat and tidy.
Would love to visit again and would highly recommend

The best and most filling vegan breakfast I had a pleasure to eat 😍 and everyone in staff was super nice and smiling despite busy lunch time.
The only downside is that it can be a bit small and crowded.

Nice cozy place! I come here quite often and the food and service never fail to disappoint. The food is great the drinks are amazing and the staff are always friendly and attentive.

I moved a few days ago from another area and I was a little sad that I had left my favourite cafeteria, but I tried here and I can tell you that you can go safely and confident that you will spend an incredible time either alone or accompanied, the atmosphere and the food is perfect.... and not to mention the attention, I will come back many times.

Loved this so much we had the pork romesco it was delicious I’ve had the cheeseburger at another branch and I would probably say I’d prefer this if I were to order again but the pork belly was cooked really well and the sandwich was super flavourful. You absolutely need to try the truffle hash browns they were so delicious and they were served with a chipotle mayo and siracha ketchup I preferred the ketchup but both were delicious. I also had the strawberry matcha and it was so yummy and not too sweet. We went around midday on a weekday so it was pretty quiet there is not much seating upstairs but they had additional seating downstairs and we were served relatively quickly. I would definitely come again.

Very bad experience, 1st of all, we sat outside, where it is cold, today the temperature is 2° feels like -1°. 2nd, these sandwiches are ridiculously small and tasteless. You have no idea how tasteless they are. They don't make any sense. And for that price !!!. Avoid at all costs. And lastly, the smell of the cooking is suffocating inside, I don't know if the vents are not working and malfunctioning, staff were nice , but 0 experience. I would never go back there.

It's not my first visit to Eggslut on Portabello Road. The hash browns are just as delicious as I remember. My breakfast was perfection as was my daughter's. The eggs are cooked perfectly. Great atmosphere. The orange juice is so fresh and super delicious 😋

The line out the door should tell you it’s good. It was worth the wait and the line moved pretty quickly. Bacon egg and cheese on brioche with a side of truffle hasbrowns are the way to go. Friendly staff and great coffee too.

The food is genuinely delicious, I absolutely loved it!!  and the prices are very reasonable…. However, I’m giving it three stars because there were TWO mice in the back area of the restaurant, where there is also outdoor seating, which was quite concerning. Hygiene should always come first, and for that reason alone I couldn’t give it five stars. It’s a real shame, because the food itself is excellent.

Our beef bacon, wagyu beef and turkey sausage are halal available at all stores!

Amazing breakfast/lunch place!! Egg lovers gotta come here cus omg the eggs are perfection. Amazing service, order comes so quickly, nice atmosphere, cheap (for central London) prices!! Would deffo recommend for a quick lunch or a date!! And they have student discount!!!

Eggscellent as always the food is absolutely delicious I would highly recommend the truffle hash browns you taste the truffle immediately and you get five which I think is a pretty reasonable price and they’re a reasonable size. I also had the cheeseburger and it was so flavourful and I liked the touch of gherkins with the egg. My friend had the fairfax which she enjoyed although it was a little messy to eat there are forks available. The iced matcha was made well and not too milky. We did have to queue for a while but we went in the lunch rush and it quieted down quite quickly with many people taking their food to go we managed to get a seat very easily and there is additional seating upstairs. I would recommend if you enjoy a variety of different eggs or truffle hash browns.

Lovely place and staff. The seating is upstairs but spacious. Food was great too. The prices are not cheap though. Staff brought us the order to the table upstairs, and they always checked that all tables are clean.

Really lucky to track down the elusive egg truffle sandwich. This shop has short hours during weekdays compared to most restaurants in the area but I was glad to get served for a takeaway during their closing time unlike the restaurant in Victoria where only 1 out of 3 times did they not run out of ingredients (by 3pm on a Saturday)  / kitchen not close (by 7pm). Staff are very friendly and needless to say the sandwich was absolutely delicious and filling!

An excellent option for breakfast. Orders are usually processed quickly. The ground floor is often crowded, but you'll find a nicer, more suitable table upstairs.

I happened to visit this place after reading a lot of positive reviews and I must admit they didn't prove those reviews wrong. I was immensely impressed with the quality of dishes they serve out to customers. Richmond was the waiter and he was super sweet, quick and passionate. The ambience is also well close to a cozy morning breakfast café. The dishes I ordered were the sausage egg and cheese sandwich with added bacon and the egg salad sandwich. Both these dishes slammed the ball out of the park. The quality of the brioche buns, the way they cooked and seasoned the eggs along with the meat is absolutely worth savouring. A bit expensive but the flavour of the plated dishes spoke louder. Nonetheless, if they increase their prices more than their prevailing prices, it will be an event of jeopardy. In a gist, I would definitely visit them quite often as I'm an egg lover and this place, if maintains it's standard, pricing and quality of cooking and serving good egg sandwiches, is a paradise for egg lovers.

Chapters London

We visited Chapters for brunch and, unfortunately, it was a pretty mediocre experience overall. Nothing particularly stood out in a positive way, and one dish in particular left a very poor impression.
We ordered the mac and cheese as a side, but when it arrived it had an extremely pungent smell that was immediately off-putting. Upon tasting it, it was exceptionally bitter, and the odor was genuinely hard to tolerate. When we raised this with the waitress, she explained that it was made with blue cheese and was “supposed” to taste like that. We’re familiar with blue cheese, but this didn’t seem right at all,  the smell was unbearable and really suggested that something was off.
Overall, not a great experience, and unfortunately it left us feeling uneasy about the quality of the food. We won’t be rushing back.

Looked promising at first, but what a disappointment. The food had no flavour, and the “brisket” wasn’t even close to being brisket. The French toast tasted like dry Weetabix straight from the packet. No butter on the toast?? To top it off, my mac and cheese was served with my dessert—completely baffling

Brisket hot pot was chewy and cut into odd cubes. Toast tasted cheap, burnt, and dry. Iced latte felt supermarket-bought. Beef sausage looked bad and had no flavour.

Food took ages to arrive, some dishes came late. Seating? Why am I sitting on a stool and others have proper chairs?!

French toast was dry, rough, no ice cream, barely any syrup. Whipped cream on French toast? Really?

Overall – good service, some uncomfortable seats and food that just missed the mark.

Ok, so for price I will be giving it 4 stars. But for favour it was nothing special. Just ok. So overall 3.5 stars.

Food:
Our food was overall ok. Nothing made to its full potential with flavour. My full English was just things put together on plate.
The French toast flavour is good. But I was expecting a fluffy inside with toasted outside. Instead, it was just thin toast.
My sons burger was the highlight and his was a kids meal.

Drinks:
The drinks no no no. My mojito classic was the worst I've ever tasted. It was soo salty and bitter. Nope no nope.
Wife's fresh juice good.

Ok, so I would say worth the visit for for price and it's halal. ok if you live local for ok food.
But if like me, you will be travelling to get here then not worth the travel.

Food was excellent and service was great too. The pancakes were so good!! And the savoury options are excellent. We popped in for a coffee and stayed for brunch. It’s a great option in a very busy area with great interior.

Chicken Katsu Sando which when it arrived looked like dry and over cooked chicken, turned out to be juicy and tender chicken. It was a delicious Sando. For a thick thick thick thigh piece, it was defo cooked to perfection. Enjoy this 🤤

The half scrambled eggs and half mushroom toast was decent. The eggs needed seasoning but if mixed with the mushrooms, it was defo a good tasty breakfast dish

The blueberry pancakes wasn’t to my liking. The pancake itself was nicely cooked and wasn’t the problem. I can’t do fruity with pancakes and French toast. I would’ve enjoyed it with probably a sweet chocolate or just maple syrup. This is probably for those who like fruity dessert lol

All in all defo a spot I have to go back as I wanted their french toast more than anything. I would defo order the chicken Sando

This place has delicious, thoughtful food. The scrambled eggs and creamy mushroom on toast was delightful. Very rich. The presentation was off the charts. Beautiful with these small chopped chives over the scrambled egg.  Their pour over coffee is delicious as well. It was brewed right with a small glass container with ground beans for you to smell prior to enjoying the coffee. They seem to place a lot of emphasis on coffee bean quality as well as they give a card citing the origin of the beans and how they were prepared. Highly recommend to someone looking for a good cup of coffee. My mom got the poached eggs on sourdough with the rocket salad on top. The salad was delicious as were the tomatoes. The cheese was too salty for us but enjoyed with the avocado and sourdough it might be tolerable for other people. Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone in the area.

After walking around for 30 minutes trying to find a place for breakfast we stumbled across tab x tab. And so glad we did. The staff are so friendly and happy to serve. The food was great everyone enjoyed it and they had a good selection of vegan options and different milks. My only feedback is it took a long time between coffee and food to arrive. But will be back for sure

Tab X Tab is a charming spot for brunch with delicious food and a welcoming atmosphere. We enjoyed perfectly cooked eggs benedict, fluffy French toast, and a grilled halloumi dish with poached egg, rocket, tomato, and sourdough. A selection of pastries rounded out the meal, and our gracious waitress handled our lively kids with kindness. The food arrived quickly, the setting was cozy yet lively, and next time I will be back to try the avocado toast. Highly recommended.

Stopped here on a whim and we were not disappointed.  Coffee was really good and the breakfast meals were enjoyed by all.  Loved the golden colors of the eggs.  Will definitely come back here again when in the area

Half English meaning half English style, half desi. Your traditional breakfast with parata. Eggs cooked perfectly and the main thing here was the sausages. This was good quality sausage which had spices infused. Which was new to me. Really liked the sausages.

Scrambled eggs on toast again cooked perfectly. With desi spices and herbs. If you’re bored of plain scrambled eggs defo try this. The best dish for me was egg Benedict. Perfectly cooked eggs. Lovely Hollandaise sauce. Good smoked salmon. Had a nice hint of kick.

All in all if you’re an egg lover defo a place to visit. They have excellent coffee aswell. Really enjoyed my oat latte aswell

Cozy and cute food spot with very lovely staff! You get tasty and filling breakfast for a really decent price. Paid just over 20 quid for me and a friend.
Can highly recommend the scramble and any bagel!

I visited Meds Cafe in Mile End Burdett Road with my children as they wanted to have breakfast. We ordered two Big Breakfasts and one Med Special Breakfast. The food was just okay nothing particularly special, though my children enjoyed their meals.

They used regular bread and eggs; I expected free-range eggs given the price. For the amount they charge, I think they could use higher-quality ingredients.

On the positive side, the service was very good, and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Overall, if you’re looking for a quick and convenient breakfast, Meds Cafe is fine, but it’s not the healthiest option and a bit overpriced for what you get.

I’ve been coming to Meds since my university days, so it was nice to return after several years—my first visit since before COVID in 2019. There have been a few changes since then, likely due to rising costs. Previously, you could choose your bread, and tea or coffee was included with the meal, which no longer seems to be the case.

That said, the food was still enjoyable. The portion sizes were generous, the pricing was reasonable, and the fresh orange juice was a nice touch.

If I had one recommendation, it would be to improve the interior. The place feels a bit tired and could benefit from some investment in decor and overall cleanliness. It’s looking slightly outdated and worn.

Still, the nostalgia and quality of the food make it worth revisiting—and I definitely will again.

I came here the other day for a full halal breakfast. It’s located on the main road, not far from Mile End station, so it can’t be missed. Everything was lovely, and the portion was very generous too. I was slightly disappointed with them not being able to serve a mojito for me as they didn’t have all the ingredients at the time. But I settled for the mocha, which tasted too much like coffee. Apart from that, everything was great!

Loved this place. The portions are extra large. 10/10 for value for money. Whether you select breakfast or lunch you will not be disappointed. This is my third visit with the family and each visit was on point. Excellent customer service, friendly and welcoming. I don't hesitate to visit this.

Great place to eat breakfast or lunch. Suitable for children. Large size portions, no gimmicks. Love the mug of tea, a good coffee mocha or americano, lovely hot chocolate. Everything is halal, staff are lovely and friendly.

Food: The food was amazing! N ordered the Mozarella Potato Pancakes which came with roasted veg, and for the first time ever he actually ate the broccoli 😂 AND said it was yum! I asked for a Full English Breakfast (clearly playing it safe) which was delicious, but I wish I branched out as everything looked so tasty! The Indian Breakfast was also fantastic; it was actually quite spicy. But guys, the best thing has got to be the Karak Chai!

This cafe is a hidden gem in the busiest part of London tucked away in a side street on Oxford street. It’s a small, clean and pretty cafe that has a vary large selection on their menu from breakfast, brunch, lunch and dessert.
I had a halal full English breakfast and a classic French toast, which did not disappoint. The French toast was delicious I had to go back a week after because I was craving it so much.

The service is very fast and attentive and the waitress is very friendly and efficient. I would also like to thank the rest of the staff who were very kind and funny who made my day. I would definitely recommend coming here especially for their French toast !

I visited this cafe for late brunch and ordered their ‘Fraises à la crème’ with a latte. The French toast was perfectly crispy on the edges and had an amazing raspberry compote layered in the middle. Overall tasted delicious with the fresh berries, macerated strawberries and clotted cream, the manuka honey takes it over the top! The latte was great too, I think they use a really nice coffee bean. Welcoming and attentive servers who clearly take pride in their work and create a warm environment. I will definitely be coming back to try some of their savoury food as well and recommend this place if you’re in the area.

The Americano was good, but the baklava was average and not fresh. The service was fast, the staff were friendly, the price was good, and the place was beautiful. I recommend it.

Great place for a sweet treat or a good breakfast. Kind of small inside but there are tables outside as well. Service was amazing. Fast and attentive. Wasn't too crowded the day we were there but I heard it is a popular place and there could be a wait for a table. It's in a great area just off Oxford Street.

The staff here were friendly and the food was amazing. Unfortunately, the owner or the store manager on site was quite very aggressive to their workers which was quite concerning and alarming for me as I understood with their mother tongue what they said which kinda got me concerned about the staff here. The service and the food was great, I just hope the manager saw that too and doesn’t take any aggression out of the staff :)

Megan's in the Village Restaurant (Wimbledon)

I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who wants a slightly different take on brunch. The food was reasonably priced, delicious, and a good portion size. There was a good range of hot and cold drinks, and a happy hour with a modest selection. The decoration was simply beautiful and relaxing, and the atmosphere was very enjoyable.

The staff were incredibly attentive and welcoming to us, and we always felt like they gave us enough space to enjoy our conversations and food but was always local when it came to clearing up or getting more drinks. It was also a bonus they treated us with a small dessert on the hour, and the Blue Light Discount was a cherry on the cake.

Definitely will be visiting again soon.

I’d happily return to work through more of the menu.Tip: Arrive before 10 am for brunch; it gets packed fast.Verdict: Highly recommended when you’re in the mood to indulge in a pretty setting with excellent food—just don’t come starving.

Quite tasty dishes with decent portion sizes. If you’re a fan of kebabs you’ll love this. Dishes didn’t feel overpowering on flavour and heat. Service was quick although desert took longer than expected.

Megan's by the Green (Parsons Green)

Megan's doesn't simply make do, they take a pride in their service and the quality of the food that comes out of their kitchen. This is my 3rd visit (I'm not local, I just had appointments in the area,) although I've only had the coffee and flatbreads, I've been able to sit opposite the kitchen and see the chef 'do his thing', he definitely knows what he's doing. The plated up food coming to other tables looks amazing and the care he showed with the finishing touches before they left his area identifies him as a professional.
The service is perfect, polite, attentive without being intrusive and carried out with a smile. Also conscientious asking about allergies to everybody.
The coffee though... I don't know if it's the barista or the bean but I've only known one place make a better coffee and that's 300 miles away in North Wales.
How good the location is depends on where you are; if you're near Parson's Green, drop in. There is outside seating but as the interior is expansive, being seated inside is easy enough, (although, allow the staff to seat you.)
There are various seating options but it's not a mish-mash, predominantly three types of chair / table top but they complement each other. There's also a wonderful 'peacock' aesthetic I missed on previous visits as I was facing the wrong way!
As to pricing, I've seen cheaper at the same standard but not within the M25!
I like the place but, it's a long way to travel for me.

Lovely visit to Megan’s by the Green in Parsons Green, just a few minutes from the tube station. The café has a great vibe and serves really good food. We started with fresh orange juice and Megan’s lemonade, both very refreshing. The za’atar spiced house fries were delicious, especially paired with the house hummus. We then shared the grilled halloumi open kebab, served on flatbread with salad and hummus, which was excellent. Overall, a great experience and I would definitely recommend.

We were just walking by and decided to get some drinks. Great atmosphere and comfortable seats, so decided to order some food. What a pleasant surprise! Everything was so tasty that finished up in no time and forgot to take any photos. Great menu, also for the little ones. Nice cocktails and fairies priced wines.

Came for breakfast in the morning whilst staying in Parsons Green and we saw the cocktail happy hour offer which we came back for lager.

We enjoyed the £7 Cocktail happy hour which unlike other places included all the cocktails and premium options. Will be making further trips to Parsons Green.

Loved the lighting there. Calm, cozy and not on your face. It just gets chaotic sometimes with the staff walking around. It could be because our table was at the edge and close to the cashier.
Food was good. Calamari was excellent. The open doner was ok, but the sauce was a bit salty.
The staff were friendly.

This restaurant is stunning! The food was delicious — I had the chicken & halloumi kebab, my sister had the lamb special, and we shared the sweet potato fries and tenderstem broccoli (which was unreal!!). Everything was fresh and full of flavour. We both had a glass of the house white, too. I can’t thank the staff enough for being so helpful. Highly recommend.

Came here on a weekend for my birthday some time ago, my partner made a reservation for Brunch. The restaurant is decorated beautifully and has a relaxing atmosphere. Service is great, staff are attentive and friendly. There are lots of options to choose from on the menu and everything my partner and I tried tasted fantastic. I would definitely come back again.

We did the €21 three course deal and it was so worth it!! Adi was an amazing host who walked us through it all. We had the bread with the spread and I got the chili chicken shakshuka which was out of the world!

Love! If I lived up the street from here I’d eat here all the time! We got a skillet of chili chicken shakshouka kebab and a vegetarian mezze bowl of felafels, hummus, tabbouleh and fermented veggies. Both were incredible. The space is cozy and prettily decorated. And dogs are welcome! 🤍

Megan's on the Hill Restaurant (Balham)

The food was absolutely delicious, every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. But what really made our experience stand out was Martina’s incredible service. She was so attentive, friendly, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s rare to meet someone who goes above and beyond the way she did! other than the food she’s the reason we’ll definitely be coming back.

The service was really good and Tina the waitress was lovely and professional. The food and drinks came quickly with no delay. The food was filling which is a bonus and good portion size.

Best place in Balham to have a coffee or brunch. Great food, excellent coffee and amazing decor. On top of it there is Martina - extremely nice and friendly waitress that makes the experience even more enjoyable. Thank you for my Halloween coffee 🧡

Honestly - LOVED Megan’s and really didn’t expect to. Came for the ‘neighbours night’ deal which was three courses for £21, and it SLAPPED. Servings were generous, service was great, and the food was delicious. Plus the restaurant has a lovely vibe. Will definitely be back for brunch some time!

We enjoyed an evening at Megan's in July during happy hour. The bellini and elderflower fizz were cold and refreshing. Our food was amazing! Everything was fresh and delicious!

Went into Megan's for lunch today. I had a double chicken open kebab, my wife had lamb shashouka kebab. Mike the waiter suggested the tenderstem broccoli that had been streamed and then grilled.

All was really, really tasty.  The service was first class, super friendly and dog friendly. Many thanks.

An enjoyable @megansrestaurants Megan's brunch with the family - we enjoyed: spiced chicken grill, Megan's brunch grill, and peri peri chilli chicken shakshuka (with garlic yoghurt and DF version with coconut yoghurt); but our favourites were our desserts: heavenly cookie dough skillet cookie with nutella molten centre and ice cream ( vanilla ice-cream and DF coconut ice-cream), and gorgeous orange + almond cake and chocolate brownie. You must save space for their amazing desserts - especially their cookie dough is the best we've eaten!

Our waitress Gabriella was absolutely brilliant. She looked after us so well for my friends birthday. Would highly recommend!

We arrived here for lunch today and were pleasantly surprised there was space for us having not booked. The decor is lovely and warm with gorgeous hanging pendants. We ordered a range of food, and it arrived pretty quickly. I have to say though, all of us were not very overwhelmed. To be honest, the portions were just about ok, but the main issue was the amount of salt, it was just too much and made the food quite unpleasant to eat. Such a shame kitchens feel they need to put lashings of salt on fresh food, when it just ruins it. Overall probably a lovely place for a coffee and cake, but we wouldn’t order main meals here again.

Amazing food and amazing service. Had two delicious starters and then one of the sharing players for the main. It was the perfect amount of food, flavour, and variety. We then were recommended the cookie dough for dessert by our server Faizan, and this was without a doubt one of the best recommendations and nicest desserts I’ve ever had. I previously went for breakfast which I really enjoyed. The food served was lovely, but certainly lacking. I found it all so dry, but the presentation was fantastic and wine was lovely.

Hashtag Cafe

Breakfast at Hastag Cafe – A Tasty Start to the Day

I recently visited Hastag Cafe for breakfast and opted for the Hastag Breakfast, which offered a delightful mix of savoury and sweet elements. The savoury plate included beef sausages, turkey rashers, baked beans, hash brown, and scrambled eggs — all cooked well, with the scrambled eggs in particular being perfectly done: soft, creamy, and just right.

The sweet side featured French toast dipped in honey, served with a small pot of chocolate sauce. The toast was fluffy and indulgent, pairing beautifully with the rich chocolate.

My wife went for the vegetarian breakfast, which included toast, two sunny-side-up eggs, avocado slices, beans, and halloumi. It was a classic combination, but well-executed with fresh ingredients and no complaints on any front.

The standout, however, was the karak chai — easily a 5 out of 5. Rich, flavourful, and perfectly spiced, I’d return just for another cup.

The only downside was the price — the total bill came to £32, which felt a bit steep for breakfast. Still, the quality of the food and drink made it a worthwhile treat.

I see a few bad reviews from months ago sadly after I placed order. But everything I ordered arrived, fresh, tasty, well packaged. Can't say a bad thing tbh great food. Maybe the other bad reviews were teething problems when they opened as my food was great

The decoration and vibes of this place was outstanding. The customer service of staff is exceptional. This is truly a fine dining place with staff that treat you as if you are VIP.
Then the food itself is cooked to perfection and every detail is considered whilst making your food. We were a group of 4 and 3 had steaks and 1 had pasta. The quality of the meats was high and the buttery steaks were delicious. The lobster pasta again was cooked with a wide range of flavours and was very filling.
The portions are very generous with great presentation and it was difficult to even find space to have dessert. The vibes and hospitality was really amazing and highly recommend this place to everyone! The restaurant is very big and bright with lovely natural sunlight.

Great Restaurant! As soon as you walk in, the decor is absolutely beautiful and the staff are friendly. Service is good and the food is great! Slightly on the pricier side, but you get a lot for your money as the portions are generous. The set menus are great value and there are delicious options. Staff are very accommodating to your needs, would definitely recommend this place ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Excellent service and scrumptious food. The steaks were done perfectly as you can see from the pics, the difference between a Medium and a Medium Rare. The mocktails were perfect, not too sweet, just right. The restaurant was squeaky clean and the staff were friendly and attentive.
Thank you Tetto's we will visit again and recommend it to friends and family.

Apart from the seating mix up. . . Our visit was deffo a very good vibe !

The food was delicious ! I had prawns for starter and the seafood tagliatelle for my main , was too stuffed for a desert.

The prawns were cooked to perfection , fresh and had a perfect bite to them. My friend were laughing because it left me with oil on my chin.

My main - the pasta was also cooked perfectly. And the flavour was so fresh and light. The bowl looks small but it’s a perfect portion.

The vibe was great , my friend who was the birthday girl was teased by the staff members as he served the steak to her , we all had a laugh.

We had an evening meal and were seated downstairs, it was boilllling (well I was boiling) so maybe I’ll wear a bikini next time.

Never the less, overall it was a really good time

A family visit to Tettos just rocked up and managed to get seating.  Nice place, friendly and attentive staff.  A busy place which shows how popular the place is.  The food was great, burgers 🍔 and fries for the kids.  Pasta dishes for the adults, lovely food all round.  Non alcoholic cocktails 🍹 to accompany the meal.  Service charges are added to the final bill.

I would like to try the steaks next time hopefully, there is a wide range to choose from Yum Yum 😋.

Pleasantly surprised by @cobblers.cafe who do breakfast and brunch. They've only been open 9 months but I can see them being very well established as a go to spot for brunch.

The Cobbler Full English breakfast: I normally wouldn't go out of my way for English breakfast but this has gotta be some of the best I've had. The gourmet sausage used was quality as were the other items in the plate. Not greasy at all like others I've had but just a hefty and hearty serving of this.

Lotus French Toast: You can also spec this as a classic. Pretty basic but not in a bad way, this real a treat. Stacks of Brioche toast with layers of Biscoff in between and surrounded by berries. Also comes with maple syrup which came in handy. Inside nothing too moist but overall very enjoyable and this was cleaned up too! 😋

We also got two egg dishes which hit the spot - I struggle to pick anything wrong here and with the eggs royale loved the sourdough bread.

Loved the passionfruit mojito. Lots of spots offer something too sweet and artificial but this was refreshing and fresh. Honey cake was decent and cannoli's (which are imported from sicily) were a little too sweet for my liking.

Many of these cafes are run by desi's which is great but you can often get a desi taste in the food which is a put off especially with a English breakfast. All the food we had was totally immune to this which made it all the more "authentic". The journey was definitely worth it and no doubt would visit again!

Had an amazing breakfast at Cobbler. The food was really good, the service was great, and everything came out quickly.

It’s also very affordable, which makes it even better.

Highly recommend.

I tried to order through Uber Eats, but it said you weren’t accepting orders. Google showed you were open, so I called to check what was going on. The staff didn’t seem aware that Uber Eats was switched off, which likely meant you’d been missing orders. After my call, it was turned back on and orders started coming through.

I then placed my order, but forgot to add a drink (I usually get a Mango Rubicon). I called back to ask if it could be added, and even asked politely if it could be offered as a small goodwill gesture since I’d helped flag the Uber Eats issue. I was told I’d need to place a separate Uber Eats order, meaning I’d have to pay another delivery fee for a single drink.

Disappointed, as a simple gesture of appreciation for a loyal customer would’ve gone a long way. I’ll be more mindful about where I spend my money going forward.

Visited Cobblers cafe for the first time, after being recommended to try it from family.

I opted for Full English breakfast with French toast.

The food was well presented and came out hot and tasted fresh. The price to quality to ratio was good. Portion sizes were good too. Aesthetically the food looked pleasing.

The overall ambience of the cafe was nice. The noise pollution wasn’t high, so you could have a conversation with friends and family with ease.

Customer service was excellent with all our requirements being dealt with in a timely and professional manner. The girls that served us were pleasant.

The distance between tables was good as well.

The decor of the cafe was nice and ambient. Paid parking is available within close proximity.

Look forward to visiting again.

Cobbler Café truly never disappoints! Every visit is a delight. From freshest, high-quality ingredients to the beautifully presented dishes, it’s clear they care about every detail. The atmosphere is warm and relaxed, making it the perfect spot to unwind, and the staff are always so kind and welcoming. It’s easily one of the best brunch spots around, consistently delicious.

Haven't physically dined here but have ordered food from here. Ordered their creamy chicken and mushroom pasta with their spaghetti and tried their hotdog and chips. The food was really nice. Loved the creamy pasta which had a hint of spice which I liked. Hotdogs were nice with grilled onions on top. Had a spicy sauce i believe naga sauce in a tub which was strong. From time of ordering they were doing a buy 1 get 1 free.

Blu Ivy Cafe

came here today and was served by Dee, she’s an absolute star and is so kind. So accommodating and sweet for me and my friends after a long day at uni, will definitely be back. Food was AMAZING and the view was lovely. thank you for your amazing food and kindness dee :)

The food here is absolutely gorgeous and everything is plated like it’s ready for a magazine shoot. Definitely a spot for people who appreciate the art of brunch.

A drawback is that it’s a bit tricky to get to from the station, so give yourself a few extra minutes. It’s near a gorgeous canal so the route will definitely be worth it.

I’ve been here a couple of times throughout the years and the quality has been consistent.

Went here as a family of 5 yesterday morning and really enjoyed ourselves! Atmosphere, service and food were 10/10, staff were so accommodating and friendly! We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Blu Ivy for a lovely morning!

We popped in for a matcha latte on our way to the park and took the opportunity to check out the menu at this cute café. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The latte was reasonably priced at £4.50 and well-prepared. The café itself is charming, with a diverse brunch menu that includes halal and vegan options. We will come back soon to try brunch here. It's a lovely spot conveniently located along the Regent’s Canal, near Victoria Park.

We have been a few times since back from holiday. The place is a cute cafe right on the regents canal just off the south west corner of Victoria park. We popped in for a macha a few weeks ago on the way to the Victoria Park market, and the the latte was really good for a reasonable price (around 4.50GBP) so we decided to come back from brunch last week, and as it was good food, we decided to come again this week. They have comfy tables and chairs inside and if the weather is good you can enjoy the canal view from the open terrasse, where they have one covered table. The menu is quite big, my recommendation is the purple latte (it's made with sweet potato powder) and the matcha latte. They have plant based milks available, oat and coconut for sure, but I assume they have almonds too. I normally get mine with coconut milk. The eggs benedict we had last week was very good, the halal turkey bacon complements the eggs and sauce really well, and the french toast does not just look sublime but tastes great too! Most food items are around the 15GBP mark so not expensive given the quality. Both drinks and food are highly recommended. They have very attentive and friendly service too. We have been regurals here since the Ragged School cafe closed for a few weeks.

Nestled right by the canal, this café is an absolute treasure! The setting alone is enough to make you fall in love – so peaceful and picturesque. I recently had brunch here with my girl mates, and it was the perfect spot for catching up and enjoying a leisurely afternoon. What truly stands out is their incredible food. I had the pleasure of sampling the crispy roti with herbs and potatoes, and it was seriously amazing. Perfectly crispy with a delicious filling, it's a must-try! I was served by Dee, who was so lovely and made the experience even better. This place is ideal for a relaxed brunch with friends or a cosy afternoon treat. It's definitely worth a visit!

We were looking for a local restaurant for brunch before our Hotspur Tour.  The food was good. The service was okay. Our hostess was busy watching or playing video games on her phone because the restaurant was pretty empty.

A reasonable place to have a Turkish breakfast. Gözleme was delicious

We visited on a match day and the food was great. However table service was a bit chaotic with only one person taking orders and the food took quite some time. It looked like only one person doing the take away and tables food.

Incredibly fast service, and they offer takeaway.
I got the mixed kebab, which was big enough to share between 2 of us. Meat was tasty and well cooked.

On of the best breakfast in Tottenham. Loads of food and really good quality. Amazing customer service from the staff. Congrats!!!
