TLDR: Had the most wonderful time at Comptoir Libanais. Really impressed overall with the vibes, staff + food. I was there celebrating a birthday, and there was excellent service throughout, the food came out hot and fresh, and it was amazing. I even planned a little surprise birthday cake to come out, and it was executed perfectly. BIG shout out to Parker who sang Happy Birthday in the best way possible! ✨

Food: Highly recommend the mixed grill, if not, then the falafel wrap is a must. Alongside the main meal, a mezze sharing platter is a must (Baba ghanoush from here is my ultimate favourite). Baklava was lovely for a dessert (more on the very sweet side), but I think the mint tea stood out to me as a nice end to the meal.

Staff: Lovely staff! Again, massive shoutout to Parker, who was attentive, made great recommendations, explained things nicely and had a key attention to detail when bringing out the surprise cake. The other staff that came over were just as attentive and friendly which was impressive.

Price: I think for some, prices can seem a little higher than normal, however, I think for the portion size, the freshness that you get + the service, the price seems worth it. I would definitely pay again but only for a little celebration or a treat (if I can control myself and not go back again next week!).

Atmosphere: This is often overlooked but I think the venue of the restaurant is gorgeous. Absolutely stunning details, relating to the culture + heritage behind the restaurant and the food they serve. Really pretty for the aesthetic shots people want and love to take, and it never felt too overwhelming or rushed. Lovely.

We had a really quick pre-theatre dinner. The waitress was great, knowing we were short on time she rushed through our drinks and food. Though I noted the wait time for the Neighbouring table was very quick too. The service was excellent and the place itself is really atmospheric. The music was in-keeping with the aesthetic but not too loud, just right. The food… my word… it was delicious. Absolute 10/10. Will definitely revisit.

I had hours to kill for my flight so looked for a Lebanese restaurant in Manchester as I love this cuisine. The food was amazing! Fresh, high quality and cooked with care. The venue itself was lovely, it really had a proper Lebanese feel, with lots of attention to detail and thought put into the design of the restaurant.

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, which was delicious, filling, and full of flavour. My partner had the meze platter for one, which she really enjoyed, and we shared the batata harra, these were especially good.

The bill came to around £45, but there was an automatic service charge of about 12.5% added. While the staff were friendly, I don’t feel the charge was justified. Service was quite slow even though the restaurant wasn’t busy – from taking our order, to bringing the bill, to forgetting our water. It was also difficult to get a waiter’s attention, which was frustrating. On top of that, they didn’t accept cash, which was a little inconvenient.

That said, the food was genuinely tasty, and I’d definitely come back again to try more from the menu. It’s just a shame that the service let down what was otherwise a really nice experience.

Fantastic service by the staff at Cafe Plus in Denton. The food is always served beautiful and without a doubt always tastes delicious. I have been here several times with family and friends and would highly recommend! The venue is modern and ambient but it's the staff and food that is their best asset. Well done!

My family of three had a quick and pleasant lunch. The food arrived promptly and was delicious and well-prepared. Our son enjoyed his children's meal, which he found simple yet tasty. The prices were reasonable. We appreciated the pleasant and comfortable atmosphere.  There is a 5% service charge. However, the coffee was rather expensive; different milk and syrup each cost an additional £0.75.

Not sure why it's taken me this long to review Cafe Plus, especially being so local to us. But if you haven't been, then you're definitely missing out.

Visited here for breakfast and lunch on a number of occasions with family.  And the staff have always been really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is relaxed and serene.  No pressure or rushing guests so you can really relax.

Now on to the food!! The Turkish breakfast 😋 has been consistent every time,  while it may seem expensive it's definitely worth a try.

The English breakfast is a large portion, infact all the meals are.

The dessert is also delicious, maybe a bit too sweet for some.  With the kids, I should have ordered desserts after the mains, as it was a bit too much food/dessert to finish 😅

I'm sure we'll be back for more, definitely need to try the Turkish dessert next time!!

One of the best Turkish breakfasts I've ever had!
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. The portions were absolutely massive, we could barely finish everything on the table (not that we didn’t try!). Everything was super fresh and delicious, from the eggs, cheeses and cream to the warm simit.

What really made it special though were the girls who served us (Nooshin, Selina, Leigha) they were so lovely, welcoming, and genuinely kind. You can tell they care about making people feel at home.
Such a great vibe, amazing food, and proper value for money. Can’t wait to go back!

Amazing place! JUST WOWWW!! definitely one of my favourite takeaways. Wide verity of different foods and desserts😍 must recommend the Tennessee Chik’n burger and the uptown platter. Full of flavours!!

Food was cold, burnt and late. Mac n cheese had barely any sauce on it.  Icecream was melted. Would not recommend

The chicken burger was so small and there was hardly any lettuce on the burger, then on the double beef burger, it looks again nothing like the picture and the patties looked like they they have been pulled out of a frozen packet, it didn't taste nice at all and was slightly frozen in the middle, there was hardly any lettuce and sauce. Then moving on to the puddings they was even worse we got 2 old school cakes and they was so stale it was like trying to break a rock like it had been sat there all week and there was hardly any icing or sprinkles on it and the custard was just out of a pack, it was very bland I will not be ordering from here again and we binned THE LOT ! It was disgusting and definitely false advertisement"

Habbibi - Manchester

My friend and I had dinner at Habbibi Manchester yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. The staff, the food, the welcoming atmosphere, the music, everything was perfect. We arrived a few minutes late but the staff were incredibly accommodating. Our waiter, Shimmy, was so nice and genuinely hilarious. He made the whole experience so much fun and really lit up the room. The restaurant’s aesthetic was beautiful as well, which added to the vibe. Overall, we had an amazing time and I’d definitely recommend Habbibi to anyone.

I have been eating here regularly since the end of 2024, but since the menu changed, it is not as good as before, especially the rib-eye, It lacks the smoky flavor it once had and is often overcooked after the menu changing, Some dishes that used to be good like sea bass or mushrooms on bread, many good dishes have been removed.
The newly added padron peppers taste different every time I order them. Sometimes they have sauce, sometimes not. I think it would be better no sauce. And ribeye, the quality of meat varies greatly, sometimes it is very good, sometimes it is not that good.(most of the time is good though)

There are also mushroom sauce and chimichurri sauce. I personally don’t like the taste of black truffle in mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce before was good enough. The chimichurri sauce today may have too much lemon or vinegar?(I’m not sure) which is a little different from usual. I think the previous one tasted better, and there has a little bit smoky taste in chimichurri before.

From my personal point of view, if a restaurant wants to retain long-term diners, it needs to maintain consistency. Only by innovating on the basis of consistency can it attract more customers.

But in general, this is a great restaurant where you can taste the food culture of different regions from the taste of the food. This is the first time I have experienced the team's goal in formulating the menu to allow guests to experience different regional cultures.

We visited last month with the first table 50% off deal. We tried a few different dishes and each one was delicious.  We had the Muhammad with haloumi, oadron peppers, octopus with roast potatoes, bread and flat iron steak. Every thing was delicious, service was attentive, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and welcoming. I highly recommend it.

As you walk towards habibbi you notice the lit front where a flame burns which gives you an inviting warmth be nice to have both on. Front of staff are so welcoming and friendly, entering the place did have to wait as the lady was not there it would be nice to have something to bring to the attention of staff that customers have arrived. Seated in a beautiful booth overlooking the restaurant such a classy look, everything was clean and crisp. Given the menus and time to select what we wanted to eat. It would be nice if the server interacted with us to let us know what selection there is on the menu. We didn’t have much interaction with the server and it would be nice to be shown to different areas of places. We wanted to go to the terrace(side outdoor seating) told twice as we asked about where, wanted to do Shisha and have our hot drinks and deserts on the terrace, given directions instead of taken. Little things that makes the service charge worth paying as it’s about 12%.

We ordered a lamb and chicken main. Portions were small especially the chicken option and lacked a kick. Lamb needs some option of gravy or something as although it fell off the bone, needed some gravy to bring it to life. We did find ourselves hungry after, honestly speaking. Food definitely needs some innovation and brings a sizzle to it, as it lacked that edge or kick that calls you back.

I think because we were hungry the deserts also felt small. Deserts were delicious and cannot fault it honestly. Server did forget my hot drink so had to prompt if he put it through. Again had to ask for some sugars. Server did ensure he recommended shisha flavours and asked if everything was good. Overall lovely evening hope above can be taken into account to improve further the lovely place and staff it is and hope to see it through the reviews.

Generally, a good experience - we ordered the bang bang chicken for starters ( which was real tasty).

However, the lamb cutlets we ordered for the main, didn’t really have much going on with it. No real flavour to it and not worth the price tag.

Abit of seasoning to the lamb would have been nice. Staff were real friendly.

Olive & Thyme

A truly exceptional meal! The restaurant is beautifully decorated. I particularly recomend the conservatory area. The food was phenomenal and the price is pretty reasonable for the quality of the meals and the vibe of the restaurant.  The service was also great, very helpful and friendly but not intrusive.

I came with my Dad for my birthday and we shared the mixed meze plate (the fresh baked levash bread with the spiced butter and the içli köfte were particularly exceptional). We then shared a mixed grill (the lamb chops and the chicken wings were my favourite) and a findik lahmacun for mains. We just managed to squeeze in a delicious serve of the katmer for dessert. The servings are generous, delicious and beautifully presented!

The only thing that would have really made it better would be some kind of refreshing house-made fresh lemon drink or similar, but the ginger beer was still pretty great!

Definitely one of my new favourite places in Manchester.

Ordered a kids pizza, beef burger and steak. All food was really nice. For me, kids meal was slightly overpriced for the portion - small portion, price equal to adult meal. Loved the place 💫🤩

Absolutely spectacular from the moment you arrive. Beautiful decor, wonderful atmosphere,  attentive staff. And the food is something else. So tasty. I want to go back and I've only just got home.

food - great and super tasteful and well cooked. we ordered some appetisers, the mixed grill and the mixed seafood grill/plate. it was realy good and we filled ourselves too much for dessert. that saffron rice was so good.

service - good but can be sorta slow? the food came pretty quick and we didnt have to wait too long. drinks arrived after appetisers which was a little strange but oh wells. no complaints about the staff tho.

atmosphere - really nice and pretty. they have a sort of balcony seating which is decorated beautifully. however there was a big group so the place was a little noisy but no fault of the restaurant.

overall, really great place and food was amazing. will return again
