Poor starters, great mains. Fantastic that the food is all halal. Nice staff, a little slow for service but nothing major. I think the music should be more authentic and you can't change the view of Broadway lol

What a find! Absolutely delicious food. My wife and I visited last night. We shared a starter and had a main meal each (Beef Rendang/Tandoori chicken). The meat was so tender it was falling apart. Tandoori was cooked to perfection. Food was absolutely superb and we'll definitely visit again. Great service and venue. Singha and Tiger beer (bottles) were very reasonable. We thoroughly recommend coming here.

I absolutely love this place. We have visited over 6 times and they are consistently great. I always order the beef rendang!!! and then try other things on the menu too. The noodle dishes, Curry's, rice dishes and starters are all great. Wish they sold chips lol but appart from that one thing it's full marks. The restaurant is on a big road with free street parking on the side. Always plenty spaces. Seems family run which is cute. Food can take a while sometimes but you know it's fresh so worth it. Plenty of seating inside. Nice, warm and clean inside. Friendly staff very helpful. Price is decent we paid around £40 for 2 mains, 3 starters and drinks. Halal food ( they do sell alcohol drinks ) . Worth a visit.

Wow what a find, the food tasted liking eating in the streets of Malaysia. Everything is halal and the menu could be adjusted to accommodate your personal preferences. I’ll be going here again.

The pad kra pao beef is exquisite and consistently delicious. Spicy, juicy, packed full of flavour. It never disappoints and is my go to order. I really want the recipe

The staff were absolutely lovely, and the service was spot on. Definitely worth booking in advance. Popped in for lunch today and had the Maggie goreng with prawns, it was absolutely banging! The Nasi lemak AGB was pretty decent too. Food's great, & the atmosphere's brill. Just a heads up, it's not wheelchair accessible as there are stairs at the entrance. But overall, a really lovely place. They even gave us cheese bites at the end,  such a nice touch.🥰 Definitely worth a visit for some smashing Malaysian food right in the heart of Chinatown.🍛🍜✨

Very disappointing Malaysian food from here…

Roti canai is quite bland and lacks the fragrance you would get usually

Char kuay teow also is lacking distinct flavours you would expect from the dish, no heat/spice at all, noodles still quite firm, not cooked in lard or chicken fat, and just overall quite bland. It’s somewhere between a Chinese Hor Fun and an actual char kuay teow but misses the mark on both. I suspect the wok was not hot enough when this was cooked

Beef Rendang was basically inedible. Very very dry and lacking any of the spices or flavour you would associate with rendang, no lemongrass, no coconut, no galangal, no discernible flavour that is from Southeast Asia. If you’d told me it was a completely dried out scouse I’d have believed you. At first I thought they had given me the wrong dish since the taste and visuals were so outlandishly different to what I expected. I came with a Singaporean and Indonesian (myself being Malaysian) and none of us had tried anything remotely like this before. I sent a picture to my family in Malaysia and they were also very confused about what the dish was.
The staff insisted that this is how they have always done it but unless I have been lied to my whole life about what rendang tastes like this was not it at all.

Overall very very disappointed in the food I had and wouldn’t dream of bringing my family here. The only reasonable explanation I can think of for this is that the chefs themselves are not Malaysian or any kind of southeast Asian to be honest.

There appear to be mixed reviews, but my experience was actually great. I tried the mee mamak and really enjoyed it — the flavour is closer to the East Malaysian mamak style rather than the typical KL/West Malaysian version. Overall, it’s definitely satisfying if you’re missing the taste of home!

Very much enjoyed the food, fast friendly service. We ordered the chicken and rice and thought the ginger sauce could be a bit more generous. Enjoyed the drinks, toast and roti, good authentic Malaysian food.

Quite authentic Malaysian cuisine which can be a difficult box to tick in Manchester! But the rating is damaged by the portion sizes and prices which just didn't seem to match up.

I wanted to back this one but on a cost basis I would have to recommend alternatives. But if you're new to Malaysian food it may spark something for you.
