I had hours to kill for my flight so looked for a Lebanese restaurant in Manchester as I love this cuisine. The food was amazing! Fresh, high quality and cooked with care. The venue itself was lovely, it really had a proper Lebanese feel, with lots of attention to detail and thought put into the design of the restaurant.

I ordered the chicken shawarma bowl, which was delicious, filling, and full of flavour. My partner had the meze platter for one, which she really enjoyed, and we shared the batata harra, these were especially good.

The bill came to around £45, but there was an automatic service charge of about 12.5% added. While the staff were friendly, I don’t feel the charge was justified. Service was quite slow even though the restaurant wasn’t busy – from taking our order, to bringing the bill, to forgetting our water. It was also difficult to get a waiter’s attention, which was frustrating. On top of that, they didn’t accept cash, which was a little inconvenient.

That said, the food was genuinely tasty, and I’d definitely come back again to try more from the menu. It’s just a shame that the service let down what was otherwise a really nice experience.

Had a fabulous birthday lunch sharing excellent food with my best friends. As a vegetarian, there aren't many places where I'm spoilt for choice, so it's always a delight to visit Comptoir Libanais.  The service and atmosphere are always perfect too.

Came here as part of a food tour. The food was amazing and the service as well.

Check this place out if you have a chance. The atmosphere is quirky in the best way.

We had a wonderful experience at Jafra, an authentic Palestinian–Arab restaurant. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the hospitality was excellent, and the staff were incredibly kind and attentive. The freshly baked breads were a highlight and really added to the experience.

We ordered the Maqluba with lamb, but unfortunately the dish didn’t meet our expectations. The aubergine consisted of only one small fried piece, and although we specifically ordered lamb lump meat, the meat we received was tough and definitely did not seem like lamb.

However, our lamb shank dish was excellent — the meat was tender, the rice was delicious, and the overall flavour was perfect.

For dessert, we had Arabic baklava served with mint tea, which was absolutely lovely and the perfect way to end the meal.

Overall, the restaurant is fantastic in terms of atmosphere, service, and presentation, and most of the food was excellent. If the Maqluba is improved, this place would easily be a five-star experience.

We’ve eaten at many Middle Eastern restaurants and this is one the best we’ve been to.
The Knafeh is excellent and ends a wonderful meal. We also loved the freshly squeezed orange juice and strawberry, mango and pineapple smoothie! If only they had Palestinian ice cream!

Alhamdulillah, me and friends shared a platter for 4. The flavours were good. The sea bass was nicely presented and flavours were okay but a but had bones which is not ideal for everyone. The customer service was good. There was plenty of room. Thankyou

Heard really good things about this place so was excited to try. My partner loved the lamb chops, my chicken was quite dry but had a nice flavour. Atmosphere was great and service was good too. Portions were a good size

Flawless experience from start to finish. They're open early to serve Breakfast, however, Lunch starts at 1pm. We showed up a little early and only found out when we asked for one of the mains. We had about an hour to kill and we were contemplating going elsewhere. We're glad we didn't as the food was both delightful and generous in size.

Before the food order arrived, we indulged in the complimentary Lamb Soup. It tasted similar to a Pakistani Lamb Stew, but there were some spices in there that I didn't recognise. Although different, it was very delicious.

As for the mains, we ordered the Mix Grill for one (with Chips) and the Half Al Faham Chicken with Rice. The Kebabs, Wings and Chicken Tikka pieces were exceptional. They weren't overly spicy, which was welcome as the taste of the meat really came through. The Al Faham Chicken and Rice shone with the Tomato sauce and Onions. The latter we were given free of charge (I asked for a separate plate after we had already ordered our food), which was a nice gesture. I know Onions are not an expensive item, but small gestures like that can make a big difference.

Service was warm (just like the Lamb Soup) and prices were extremely reasonable. The seating area is nice and cosy with some outdoor seating, if you're that way inclined.

This is now one of our favourite spots on Wilmslow Road, sharing that accolade with some of our other favourites like Walnut Persian and My Peshawar.

Really nice Arab food. Complementary soup which is always tasty especially in the cold winters, kept by the entrance. We always go for the same dishes. The nan bread is Krispy and very big. Service is great. A little rowdy for my liking but that’s subjective.

We ordered zurbian it was just chicken cooked in soap and then placed in a mandi rice. Not even one piece of potato was spotted which is a main ingredient in zurbian. When I commented that to the stuff they just went running and hiding on the kitchen, uncooperative and useless.

Im yemeni myself and i know yemenis are not good with costumer service so kind of expected .

I ordered mint and lemon juice. The guy who made it didnt wash the ingredients and used his pare hands with no gloves.

The soap was 10/10.
6/10 Motton Fahsa was kind of disappointing as the restaurant is obv from north of yemen so i expected better one. I ve tried better fahsa made by hadramis restaurants.

One of my favourite places to eat on Wilmslow Road and for good reason. Quality food & service to match. A gem. 6 stars.

Habbibi - Manchester

My friend and I had dinner at Habbibi Manchester yesterday and it was absolutely amazing. The staff, the food, the welcoming atmosphere, the music, everything was perfect. We arrived a few minutes late but the staff were incredibly accommodating. Our waiter, Shimmy, was so nice and genuinely hilarious. He made the whole experience so much fun and really lit up the room. The restaurant’s aesthetic was beautiful as well, which added to the vibe. Overall, we had an amazing time and I’d definitely recommend Habbibi to anyone.

I have been eating here regularly since the end of 2024, but since the menu changed, it is not as good as before, especially the rib-eye, It lacks the smoky flavor it once had and is often overcooked after the menu changing, Some dishes that used to be good like sea bass or mushrooms on bread, many good dishes have been removed.
The newly added padron peppers taste different every time I order them. Sometimes they have sauce, sometimes not. I think it would be better no sauce. And ribeye, the quality of meat varies greatly, sometimes it is very good, sometimes it is not that good.(most of the time is good though)

There are also mushroom sauce and chimichurri sauce. I personally don’t like the taste of black truffle in mushroom sauce. The mushroom sauce before was good enough. The chimichurri sauce today may have too much lemon or vinegar?(I’m not sure) which is a little different from usual. I think the previous one tasted better, and there has a little bit smoky taste in chimichurri before.

From my personal point of view, if a restaurant wants to retain long-term diners, it needs to maintain consistency. Only by innovating on the basis of consistency can it attract more customers.

But in general, this is a great restaurant where you can taste the food culture of different regions from the taste of the food. This is the first time I have experienced the team's goal in formulating the menu to allow guests to experience different regional cultures.

We visited last month with the first table 50% off deal. We tried a few different dishes and each one was delicious.  We had the Muhammad with haloumi, oadron peppers, octopus with roast potatoes, bread and flat iron steak. Every thing was delicious, service was attentive, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was great and welcoming. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved my experience at Habbibi! The food was full of flavour and beautifully presented. A special shoutout to Shimmy who looked after our table. He was so nice, attentive and incredibly accommodating. His service really made the evening feel extra special. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Food was good especially the stakes as we ordered few of them, the dynamite prawns was very delicious but for the Appetizers, in my personal opinion the Hummus and Muhamara didn’t taste like one.
For the staff, the waiter who served us was Norhan, she was very helpful and smiling all the time, give you positive energy.
The Atmosphere was very nice but we couldn’t hear each other because of the loud music.
