Really good sushi, most sushi spots in Manchester are pretty lacklustre but one sushi does it well with the freshness and creativity in their signature fusion rolls.

Price is not too bad either for the signature rolls and these can be ordered via phone or instagram.

The service is a bit cold though.

Great tasting fresh sushi.
Service is cold meaning no interaction, look up at you, smile or even a hello/ bye which also means lacks atmosphere.

Also noticed they have VAT on the receipt but there is no VAT number printed on the receipt

My favourite sushi takeaway in MCR 😆 The new volcano roll is great too. I usually go for the Tokyo roll, spicy salmon, or fried prawn 👍🏼can’t go wrong with any of them.

The sushi was by far the best I have had!!! It was so fresh and wish we had one back in the north east! Definitely going back to have it when I’m in Manchester. The only thing is it’s a takeaway place and you will not be able to eat in😆 It was fine, we managed to take it back to the hotel to eat anyways!!

Honestly best sushi in Manchester, thanks for the perfect omakase experience for a special occasion.

Amazing food, lovely staff, affordable prices, great location. The vibe of the restaurant was amazing and it was decorated so nicely. The lady greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile. The food was amazing best Katsu ever. 100% would recommend and will come again.

Favourite place to eat in Cheadle Hulme! Really fresh sushi, highly recommend the platter if there’s a few of you sharing.

We have been coming to Zumuku around once every few months and the owner/manager is lovely.
Usually the food is very nice.
However we have been frustrated with the collection service eg having to wait 15-20 minutes after the time you are told to collect food. This has happened on several occasions.
It would be better for the customer being told a more realistic collection time.

Attended the restaurant on an afternoon on a saturday. The restaurant is a fabulous modern environment, clean well set out. The service here was amazing, the lady owner greeted us with a warm welcome. The food arrived beautifully presented and was fresh and tasty. would definitely recommend and revisit.

Had an amazing experience today, lovely food and even lovelier staff. Will definitely be returning ❤️

I’ve always been a fan of the food here and at all of their venues ever since it started in the fish shop in Didsbury. It’s fresh, tasty, and healthy with a great variety of Asian fusion. The prices are reasonable for the quality you get too.

This review is about the great service received by a member of staff over the phone. I’d placed a wrong order via Deliveroo and they changed it without question with a can do attitude in efficient fashion.

I will continue to bring my custom to this amazing restaurant.

I accidentally showed up at the wrong time for my order, but the team here went above and beyond to make it happen anyway. The chef worked some real magic to get my food ready, and I’m so grateful for their effort and kindness. Huge thanks as well to the amazing person at the reception—super friendly, understanding, and helpful throughout. Incredible service and great people. Highly recommend this place not just for the food, but for the heart behind it!

Used to love this place, but they have gone downhill. Food was fresh, but the quality was not to the high standards I would expect from them.

Service was not great. They forgot part of the order, didn’t ask about any dietary requirements, brought the wrong order and then argued back and went only to double check that they did in fact make a mistake. Rolls were poorly rolled, with rice being all over the place.
Cocktails menu was creased and looked like it needs to be reprinted, with food stains over it. Was not a good look.

They have introduced liquid nitrogen or some sort of special effect, but I found that it was just not done right with the server touching the food to ‘make the effect’ happen.

Miso soups arrived luke warm.

Disappointing, as I generally love Zumuku brand and some of their other branches are decent.

Highest star for atmosphere, as they have a roof terrace, they just need to maybe add some decor. Also we were advised not to sit at certain tables as the sofas were dirty..

Zain was 100% perfect, not pushy, very friendly,  happy face. Food was excellent, hot when it came out and portion sizes were value for the money, more than enough. Will definitely be coming back again.

Menagerie

I visited Menagerie restaurant with some of my colleagues and had an absolute blast. The atmosphere was vibrant, the lights were perfect for photos, and the entertainers kept the energy high. There was no dull moment. The fries were the crunchiest, yummiest I’ve ever had. The food was delicious overall. When my colleague requested a drink they didn’t have, they surprised her with a complimentary alternative which she didn't have to pay for. We truly enjoyed our time there. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Booked a private drinks area for a 21st celebration as my daughter loves the decor in here (insta opportunities everywhere you look!) For me it was the staff that stood out. Really helpful when dropping off and collecting decorations (they stored it all for the following day) and set up the area beautifully. The bottle neck fireworks are fabulous! One very happy daughter - thank you 🥰

Loved loved it. If you want to have a nice bottomless brunch with your girls come here. The food was also really nice, most food at bottomless brunch spots is terrible,  this exceeded our expectation.

Food was amazing tasted great, they threw in a sparkler and a happy birthday dish ( without being asked to ) as my friend was wearing a birthday sash. Food and drink was quickly served too and entertainment was great.

A stunning venue, with everything pink! I was taken here for my hen do and wedding noticed a few other hen parties there as well. We had afternoon tea,the food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of tea to drink. The menus for meals looked really nice as well and I would love to see one of their events next time!

Modern Australian food with Indonesian and Japanese influences

A lovely spot with very nice ambience and seating, making it great for a date night. The food was pretty decent overall. The Indonesian prawns were really delicious and a highlight of the meal. We appreciated the bold move with the char siu black cod, a refreshing change from the usual miso cod, though it came across a little too salty for our Asian taste buds and felt slightly overpriced. The grilled short ribs were tougher than expected, as we were hoping for something more tender. Aside from those, the rest of the dishes were fairly average. Service throughout was friendly and good, which helped round out the experience.

We booked bottomless brunch at Australasia for my birthday and honestly had such a good experience. One of my friends was running really late but the staff were so accommodating, which I really appreciated. You get to choose 3 dishes from the menu. the portions look small at first, so I was a bit disappointed, but after finishing everything I was actually really full.

The food itself was amazing. We ordered the gochujang chicken, beef fillet, sweet & sour chicken and some sushi. everything was so fresh and full of flavour.

The drinks were tasty and refreshing, and they come in big bottles to share. For the first time ever, I didn’t feel sick after a bottomless because the drinks weren’t overly sugary like other places. There was a live singer too, and the whole atmosphere was amazing. We ended up staying for about 3–4 hours even though bottomless brunch is 90mins you can still stay and finish your drinks.

I liked the atmosphere, and that’s the only positive thing I can say. The portions are very small, and the food is mediocre. The service was awful and extremely slow. The main dishes for me and my husband were served at completely different times. I waited 50 minutes for my steak, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. When I pointed this out, we were told it would be removed from the bill, but it never was. We ended up paying, leaving, and we will never come back

What a lovely place, the service was great, and the food was hot, and soooo fresh and tasty.... they do put a discretionary service fee on your bill, but that's OK for me in this instance so left it on as the tip.
The food was nice... my only negative was the beef short  rib was a little chewy.... andni would have expected it to be as soft as butter.... BUT the rest was nice.

We stopped by Australasia for cocktails and had the best margaritas. Perfectly balanced—fresh citrus, smooth tequila, and just the right level of sweetness. Super refreshing and dangerously easy to drink.

The setting really elevates the experience: chic, relaxed, and beautifully designed, with a stunning bar that feels special without being pretentious. Service was attentive and friendly, making it an ideal spot to sit back and enjoy great drinks.

Our meat is not halal however we do have plenty of fish and vegetarian options.

Sakura Japanese Restaurant

Service and atmosphere was great!! The waiter really did go all out for us, and of course the robots were super super fun and rather unique - a novelty. Unfortunately the food is a massive massive let down, a selection of what seems to be cheap quality meats and freezer fritters. The flavour of a lot of the food was not something to write home about. The food didn’t ruin the experience but it left a LOT to be desired. Could be a lot tastier, especially with the fact they have the novelty of the robots. The cakes in the desert bar was scrumptious. The venue is great for kids who are fussy about food as most of it as fried and simple. With select dishes for a more adult palate. I wouldn’t recommend it for a date night.
Notable dishes: anything chicken based was good - especially the Korean mayo chicken bao
Don’t recommend: the soups and noodles weren’t very nice, the oyster dishes were a big no from us
At a price tag of £30 a head, the food could be very much improved! The staff are nice and the robots are cool!

I recently visited Sakura Japanese Restaurant, and it was an absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a calm, elegant atmosphere that immediately set the tone for a memorable meal.

The food was exceptional — fresh, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Japanese flavours. Every dish tasted like it was prepared with genuine care and attention. The sushi was incredibly fresh, the hot dishes were perfectly seasoned, and the overall quality was truly top-tier.

The staff were equally impressive: friendly, attentive, and always ready to help without ever being intrusive. Their warm hospitality really elevated the experience.

To top it all off, the presence of Santa during the visit added a magical and festive touch. It made the evening feel even more special and created a joyful atmosphere for everyone dining.

Overall, Sakura delivered a perfect dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys high-quality Japanese cuisine and excellent service. I’ll definitely be returning

A great selection of food , all brought to your table by Metal Micky ( quite entertaining in itself to see the little robots whizz around). The food is tasty and good quality, with a choice of desserts to follow.

The robots carry food for a couple of tables at a time. This shouldn't be a problem as each tray has a number on it,  I'm sure we weren't the only ones dumb enough to offload all the food onto our table ( oops!).

Definitely recommended.

Fresh sushi, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere. The rolls are well-made and delicious, and the tempura is perfectly light and crispy. Everything feels carefully prepared. A great spot for anyone craving quality Japanese food. I’ll definitely be back!

Enjoyable family meal, lots of choice, and fun service with the little robot cats. Went Saturday 3pm and it was nice, not too busy.  Would go again

Rolled | Aussie-Style Sushi (Manchester Arndale)

Great option for a quick lunch with a variety of different options - the fillings are not what you’d expect with traditional sushi but they taste great. A big fan of the salmon and chicken options.

Only reason it’s not 5 stars is that they are never open at 10am as the google listing suggests - I’ve been a few times between 10am and 11am to try and get something ahead of lunch and it’s always empty

Edit: they recently changed the opening tiles to 11:00am when they get their delivery - came again this week at 11:15ish and they still weren’t open…

The sushi here is really fresh, tasty and good portions! Not overpriced either. The only downside to this location is that it's in Manchester Arndale, so it's a bit loud with no atmosphere and nowhere to sit - I ate my sushi outside. Still would go back again - really nice sushi!

I always come to these guys, not even hungry but I have to go, the sushi is phenomenal and I always enjoy it, basically tears in my eyes every time I have the sushi because it’s so good, also Blaz at the Arndale stand was amazing and so lovely, the staff are always great and so lovely, makes me wish I was Australian 😝
