Was met with amazing service from the door till we went back out the door. They have a friendly atmosphere that’s also really cute for anyone who likes taking pictures. The food was absolutely phenomenal. I opted for the Brie chutney which I recommend as a light bite. My friend got the steak eggs and hash browns, every component blended together as well as being cooked to perfection with a great umami flavour. I 100% recommend if you’re passing through NQ!

So this place was def built for instagram, very specific decor, very clean but that’s definitely no crime.
We went at a not too busy time, we were seated right away, handed menus immediately upon sitting down but after 10 min had to go get the waiter to take order. The food came very quickly after that and was well presented and well cooked (see pictures).

A nice relaxing vibe with good music.
A varied but small enough menu that has good options for savoury and sweet as well.

I really enjoy Fress every time I go, the food is always top notch and to the best standard. I tried the Steak and eggs today and my friend had the Philly cheesesteak wrap. Both dishes were excellent and wonderfully tasty. The menu is great and offers such a fantastic range of options and each dish doesn’t disappoint. The decor and style of the place is really nice, making for a wonderful breakfast, brunch or lunch experience . Love this place and will return many more times!

Recently visited Tutku Cafe and, unfortunately, it didn’t meet our expectations. The overall quality felt quite low. The honey they served was crystallized, and the olives were especially concerning we couldn’t touch them. Their color looked off, and there were little pieces on them that made us lose our appetite.
The rest of the food was fairly average and didn’t quite live up to what we were hoping for. On top of that, the payment options were inconvenient, as they only accept cash or bank transfer.

Food was OK, ordered the big breakfasts veggie and halal versions. When the waitress provided the sauce, the bottle was covered with ants. Pictures below included. She seemed oblivious to it. Ants were everywhere on the table. Made the waitress aware. She apologised. They dont accept card but do accept bank transfer.

Amazing service as always. Food was fresh and delicious. highly recommended.  it was my friend's birthday and didn't charge us for the cake and put on a song for her.

There’s a few reasons I would rate this place low, first of all the food took 30 minutes to come which I felt was a long time for a brunch place. Secondly when the food came it wasn’t warm at all, I asked for beans (which I had ordered but didn’t arrive) from the waitress who was extremely rude. She didn’t get back to me about it and when I asked again she rudely responded that the beans are coming wait. I think this really ruined the whole brunch. The male manager here is really nice and the food is ok but the waitresses really need to work on their attitudes! Please can you guys think about the way you speak to your customers especially if they don’t deserve to be spoken rudely to.

Couldn’t fault our visit here. A cosy busy spot great for families. The atmosphere is lovely and the outdoor seating is perfect when the weathers good.
The food was also on point. Portions are massive and at amazing value. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad and it was surprisingly very good!
Will happily come again.

Caramello Cafes Ltd

First time at Caramello and it was worth the drive to get there.

Place was quite full but the atmosphere was still nice - not too loud and could hear the people on my table easily.

Food wise I got the chicken with waffles, turkey bacon, fried egg & maple syrup.

I absolutely loved this and everything was cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this dish to anyone.

My table also got a stack of pancakes to share and they were absolutely delicious - perfect for sharing with 2-4 people after your mains.

Hot chocolate was really nice and perfect for a cold winter afternoon.

The Palestine cola was a nice touch 🫶

Overall the food gets a 10/10.

Service was really good and couldn’t fault it at all, 10/10 there too.

I will definitely be back and trying a new dish!

Visited Karamellos in Manchester and absolutely loved it. I ordered the Karamelo Full English and it was spot on. The lamb sausages were packed with flavour and cooked perfectly,The freshly squeezed South African Valencia orange juice was super refreshing and tasted genuinely fresh, not the bottled stuff.

We also tried the shakshuka and it was amazing, rich, warming and full of flavour. You can tell care goes into the food here.

The place itself is cosy and welcoming, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes you want to sit and enjoy your meal rather than rush off. Service was friendly and attentive too.

Overall, a great spot for breakfast or brunch in Manchester. Definitely recommend and will 100% be coming back.

Very honest and forthcoming regarding the expected wait time when we got there, appreciate the truth rather than just telling us "oh it'll only be 5 minutes".

We had children with us and they liked sherry then really well with colouring in activities.

Haven't been in a while.  Staff, bit as friendly as before.  Nit helpful either.  We dropped orange juice all over the table.  Took someone 10 minutes to come with a tissue.  By that time my son had found napkins and cleaned the whole table.  Not as nice as me and my children recall it to be.

Very Disappointed After Years of Loyalty
We’ve been loyal customers of this café for over two years, travelling all the way from Bradford just to enjoy breakfast here. Despite the long drive and often waiting 45 minutes to an hour outside, we never minded — the food and experience were always worth it.

However, our recent visit left us very disappointed. I ordered the smashed avocado toast, which is priced at £12 — not cheap, but we've always been happy to pay for the quality we've received in the past. Unfortunately, this time was completely different.

The portion was shockingly small: one very thin slice of toast with a minimal amount of avocado barely spread across it, a tiny egg, and a few cherry tomatoes. It looked nothing like what we’ve been served before. The hummus — which is listed on the menu — was less than a teaspoon and spread thinly on the plate. There was no salad or garnish, which was usually part of the dish. Presentation was poor and it felt like a rushed job with no attention to detail.

I raised my concerns with the waiter and asked whether the portion sizes had been reduced. His explanation didn’t make much sense, and when I asked if he thought it was fair to charge £12 for what I received, he had no answer and said he would speak to the manager.

The scrambled egg I requested was undercooked and had to be sent back. Overall, it felt like the kitchen was just rushing food out without care or consistency.

The manager did offer us a small discount on the final bill, which we appreciated — but even after that, we still paid £25 for two very bare minimum breakfasts.

This visit was a huge letdown. We’ve always loved this café, but based on this experience, we’ve decided we won’t be returning. It's incredibly disappointing to see such a drop in quality and value.

I visited this place today and had a really fantastic experience.

The two ladies working were absolutely wonderful, providing good service.

They were so attentive and made sure we were looked after.

Plus, the food was good, I'm definitely planning on coming back soon!

The Good:
- plenty of seating and quick service

The Bad:
- a little cold could do with some heating facilities or keeping the place a little warm

The End:
- Overall I enjoyed the care and consideration put in to their delivery of good customer service and food

Such a lovely place with great food and hot drinks.  I had to try the ‘chai latte’ and it was delicious!
Ended up coming back in the afternoon for another one! The cheese sandwich with Cajun chicken hit the spot.  Would recommend to all.  The staff are very friendly and accommodating

The best full English I’ve ever had. Not many halal spots that do 10/10 breakfast, but this is definitely up there. I would have taken a pic but I was so in awe that I only remembered after I finished. What beautiful waitresses and service

A decent spot with decent prices. Good range of food from uk brekkie to Indian street food. Great service here too.

It’s just such a sub par restaurant, looks very nice from the outside but very shabby on the inside. All the leather chairs are heavily peeling. Does not feel comfortable. The food was just so mediocre it encroached on being properly bad. The full English is over priced like crazy for what they were offering. The eggs used were so yellow it was off putting. I will say the French toast was nice but the slices look like they were on a diet. The drinks we ordered came out lukewarm at best and was cold before we finish the food aswell. I will add the servers did seem lovely and were quite helpful however it is quite odd we had to leave our table and go to the till to order our food?

Great spot for brunch. If it’s the weekend, be prepared for a wait, one in line and for your food. It gets quite busy but I’d say it’s worth the wait. The servers were friendly and checked in several times. We had the shakshuka which had the perfect touch of spice and the French toast was French toasting 😋 the warm bevvies were perfect for the weather. Hot chocolate was rich and the rose, honey and cardamom latte was love. Would love to return to try more dishes.  Particularly the duck dish caught my eye!

Hmm what do I say. Atmosphere is awesome. Great vibe and ambience. Goes downhill from here. Service was horrible almost non-existent. My wife’s tea was old and milk curdled - which was replaced free of charge but still don’t expect that from here. My shakshuka was a dump of uncooked tomato’s and hard chickpeas with one egg which had a pale yellow yolk (says it all). My wife’s ECB breakfast was serviceable. Eggs slightly overdone but ok. Flat white was very good. We didn’t complain but they noticed we had not finished our food so they gave us 20% off. Would not recommend and I would not come back.

Today we went for brunch at Evelyn’s and had a really good experience. We ordered coffees and a hot chocolate which were all very nice. The food was delicious overall, except for the granola bowl. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall we had a very nice visit at Evelyn’s.

I think Evelyn's is the best brunch place I've tried so far in Manchester. I've been there 4 times and every single dish I've tried has been incredible! Whenever I want to impress someone, I take them to Evelyn's. My favourite brunch spot in Manchester without a doubt.

I booked Evelyn's for dinner for a Christmassy weekend in MCR with my mum & her friends, having been here before, because it's always been a consistently good vibe, tasty food & incredible service.

Firstly - shoutout to the Paloma cocktail- it's my FAV here - a strong 12/10!

For food, we ordered all the dips (hummus, labneh & baba) that come with pita  - baba was a standout with that unreal curry leaf oil! The roasted cauliflower, Hispi Cabbage, Caesar salad, hand cut fries, Sea Bream from the specials, panacotta, lemon posset - literally everything was so tasty. Unfortunately we had slight issues with both the Monkfish dish & Half Chicken from the mains - both were incredibly salty and not palatable :(

We initially raised the issue about the monk fish to Kayani & she swapped for another sea bream & took the monk fish off the bill. Then the half chicken came out (and the same thing happened with the saltiness) and Kayani was so understanding, took this off the bill, took the time to find out & explain what may have happened to result in saltiness & had no hesitation to take items off the bill and make sure we still enjoyed our visit. For that we were entirely grateful - she was so lovely, her customer service was 10/10 and despite the little hiccups, she (and the rest of the staff) made our time at Evelyn's an absolute hoot!

My first time eating here last weekend and wow what a magical place! The staff are so positive, smiley and attentive. The food was next level, amazing value for money and the flavours were delicious! The vegan choices were great and I’m already planning my next trip back here ❤️

Absolutely delicious meal here. We got the sharing platter for two plus some extra falafel and chips and it was too much, but in a good way! Staff were extremely attentive and friendly, some of the best I’ve seen in a long time. Already wanting to go back and it’s been two days since I went! Thank you for the great food and atmosphere.

I was looking forward to this place as it was based on a recommendation. I ordered the falafel and Man'oucheh Muhammara. And my God the sourness. I have a low tolerance for sour things and this was too sour for me! I could not enjoy the falafel, the tahini sauce, or the Muhammara. But the place looks very nice and cozy and the service appears to be great. I think you will enjoy it if you have a particular taste profile. But this just wasn't for me!

Sips and Dips is my local fave! I love the lamb chops with rice, it’s so delicious. If I’m feeling like something a bit lighter I love the dips for 2 to share with my partner. Staff are so lovely and welcoming!

Superb food. Had the mixed dips which was amazing and the mixed grill. These two dishes were enough for three hungry people. Arab mint tea was also good, served in a beautiful pewter teapot. Would recommend this place.

Bloom Coffee Co.

Stopped by for coffee and brunch.
The coffee ordered was EXCELLENT lovely strong and flavoursome although it was served on the cold side being my only grip.
The food we had was well presented and tasted good.
The cafe itself is a bit shall I say rustic? As the chairs are all mismatched and some are like old school chairs.
The service was friendly and drinks arrived in a good time frame but the food we ordered did seem to take a while but it is to be expected when busy or customised orders are placed.
Give it a go if you're near by, I'd definitely go back for the coffee alone.

Great little café. Popular and busy. More seating upstairs. Vegetarian options available. I had the Bloom Shrooms - mushrooms in creamy thyme and garlic sauce, halloumi, spinach, poached eggs, toasted sourdough @ £12.50 and a turmeric drink @ £3.80. Well presented and a really good plateful, very filling and tasty. They brought the food but I had a little wait while they brought the cutlery afterwards. Mushrooms go cold very quickly but I'm glad to say these stayed good and hot. The turmeric drink was served in a glass with no handle, so you have to wait for it to cool a bit before you could handle it, but it was a very good drink. Thoroughly enjoyed the meal here and I would revisit. You won't go hungry!

We were well looked after by the staff and there is seating on two levels.

Highly recommend the Turkish eggs.

Staff welcoming. Quiet.  I came in for breakfast. I had the salmon, I think it was called thr CAL bowl. Salmon was discoloured, and spoiled. Should not have been served. Avocado was very cold and also not fresh.  Poached eggs were great but for the price of 10.50 thats all I could eat from this option. Would not recommend and will be giving feedback to the staff and hopefully this can be rectified as it is a lovely place. Staff were very apologetic and advised they would hand this over to the kitchen staff. They also offered to pay only for my coffee. Thank you ladies

Bru’d Awakenin’s

Unlike one of the reviews on here, I don't look for a place where everyone looks round if you so much a sneeze. Every type of cafe/bar has people using laptops so you can't avoid it. You have to live with the times.
This place is almost perfect. I love the people, the way they serve things to you and the food is delicious. I can't say enough about their drinks like cappuccino and their other special drinks. (Get the Black Forest one with cream).
The only downside is Shepheard St. I'ts an old victorian shady street that needs a clean. The owner of Bru'd should push the council to resuface the road as it would brighten up the area and attract more people to the businesses down there.

The food was nice however the cafe appears to be a drop in centre for workers who sit with their lap tops out and on their phones. Very noisy and we had to sit next to a bloke on his phone speaking with a client getting all her financial details for the whole cafe to hear. Not a very relaxing atmosphere

Fantastic customer care, price and service from the team. Really enjoyed the atmosphere here meeting a friend for a catch up. Will definitely return and kudos on the business for expanding for more customers. Looking forward to returning soon. Thanks again !

Food was nice, portions quite small especially for cost but it’s a nice place and nice atmosphere. Menu is quite broad with a vegan section.
Lots of gorgeous dogs having their sausage and puppachino!
The service is sadly where it really lets itself down and it’s been mediocre on every visit I’ve had.
We were a table of 5- received food with no cutlery in the pots, no check in, no do you need any sauces or more drinks.
Took ages to take our plates and get more drinks. At bill time we again had to ask for it and nobody came back to take payment.
Ended up getting up in the end and waiting at the main desk.
No service charge on the receipt surprisingly or it would have been asked to remove.
WC needed a mop and replenish of paper towels but generally clean.

Diggle Lock delivers on all fronts, great food, warm atmosphere, and excellent service. The staff were friendly and efficient, ensuring a quick and pleasant dining experience. The all-day breakfast was a standout, making for a satisfying meal, and the coffee was equally impressive. Definitely a place worth returning to! Please make sure to book in advance!

The overall experience was good. The menu on the day didn't match the one on their website ( the prices were slightly higher and also some of the items were slightly diferent) I order the loaded fries and find it a bit disappointing.  Although the portion is quite generous, the chorizo was a bit burned and they were dry (you could barely taste the cheese or tomato sauce). The star of the show was definitely their french toast, which was quite nice (although a bit on the pricier side and there was no white chocolate sauce as expected). The ambience was good and the team are friendly, however nobody came to check if the food was alright.

It's a wonderfully quirky place. Lovely atmosphere. Staff are friendly, chatty, and polite. Plus, it's dog friendly, too. The food tasted amazing. Well worth it. If you're passing by, be sure to make a pit stop and give it a whirl! You won't be disappointed ❤️

Diggle lock is a must visit in the Oldham/saddleworth area I’ve been lots of times it’s always great and the staff a super friendly. My favourite at the moment is the steak and eggs with halloumi on the side. The peach ice tea is a must try also!

Great place for breakfast! Really friendly staff/helpful staff, loved they asked about allergies cause I have a nut allergy. Eggs benny was delicious! I do wish my large cappuccino was stronger, only one shot of espresso so it was a bit weak :(

We went to Ezra and Gils for our son’s 1st bday breakfast and it was AWESOME! Kat helped us to the table and was really really nice. She recommended some things on the menu(everything was great) and even took a Polaroid of us 🥰 Highly recommend for the service and the quality as well!

Always a bustling place this, really nice staff and food with a good selection of all day breakfasts and lunches. Dog friendly too, so we'll be back soon with our doggy. Wait for a table was expected to be 20 minutes, but we waited barely 10 because they were so efficient. Shame we'll miss the August specials. The food and the coffee was awesome!!

Navarro Lounge

This restaurant was a place I ate at many times with my friends. The menu is really good, has a lot of dietary restriction options. The vibe inside is so cute and just overall nice. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I did see a mouse inside one time which automatically ticks off a few stars. Other than that though no complaints at all. Prices are fair for the quality of food that you get.

We had a delicious brunch here. The food was wonderful and the service was good. Eclectic vibe in the restaurant. The restaurant was reasonably busy and people seemed to be enjoying their meals.

Great food! Couldn’t fault it, and 12.95 for 2 cocktails for happy hour was great in this economy. Very fresh and flavourful, also helpful staff, shout out to Joe who was extremely accommodating as we wanted to move from outside to inside and it was done with no problem at all. Thanks joe!

Thyme Out Food

Nice restaurant in the Didsbury region. You can see from my pictures that their food were wonderful and delicious. Love the crunchy chips.
They also serve lighter version of some of their meals for those who are looking at “diet” less-calories options.

The food is delicious and 100% worth coming for. A lot of vegan options as well. I got a vegan burrito which was the best i have ever had. The service is a bit slow, we waited about 25 min for our meal, but fine if you are not in a rush. Atmosphere is really vibrant, can be a bit loud.

Good range of food and drinks. Excellent coffee. They do hot chocolate in milk, dark, white and vegan versions. The full breakfast was one of the best I've had; black pudding and hash browns included. The almond croissant had too much almond paste we thought, and though its nice for it to be warm, zapping it in the microwave has to be well-timed. A place to definitely go back to to a) try other menu items and b) sit out out in the back garden.

Consistently good food, but get there early!

The place fills up very quickly and you can’t book so make sure you get there in time. Definitely work checking out as it’s among the best brunches in the area.

We’ve been several times and have enjoyed the food, wanting to come back for more.

If I could suggest one thing to improve, I’d say that service could be sped up slightly - it can be difficult to get attention depending on where you’re sat, and food takes a while to come. However, they clearly put a lot of thought into each dish, and portion sizes are large, making it a stand out in the area.

Would definitely recommend for a good brunch - friendly staff, tasty food and great portion sizes overall.

We moved away from Didsbury about 5 years ago, so it was so nice coming back to our favourite brunch place and finding it still as good as (if not better than) before! Vast food and drink choices, and served with a smile. Hard to beat!

Wilson´s Manchester

The building has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were welcoming and polite throughout mine and my friend's visit.

The food is pricey, with our total bill for 2 meals, 2 desserts, and 2 drinks coming to just over £80 (inc. service fee) but the price is reflected in the quality.

The mains were ordered were the salmon feta bagel, and the steak frittes, and for dessert we got both a slice of the honey cake and cheesecake. All the food was wonderful, and the crisp apple draught cider was genuinely the nicest cider I've ever had, and cider is my go-to for a drink with a meal.

Wonderful experience overall. My only complaint would be having the 12.5% tip being put on the bill by default, as tips shouldn't be an expectation but rather a courtesy to show valued service. I intended on tipping but having it as a default isn't a practice I like, especially when anxious people won't be willing to confront or question it.

Didn't eat it there, but bartenders was really kind in the morning.  I just waiting my check-in to the hostel next door. Nice espresso, real Italian coffee machine. Perfect place to start exploring Manchester, best time to visit 8-11PM on Friday. IPA, cider is ok. It was live music on Thursday.

Love this place for drinks. Tried the food last night. Calamari with Katsu curry was lovely. Steak was cooked well. Pork dishes needed a sauce with it, far too dry. Basque cheesecake was far too rich, really didn't enjoy that. Good selection of drinks and great atmosphere. Overall 8/10

We wanted breakfast and whilst the selection was average one of use could sub some of items so end up wasting food. Seating was shocking but since we were in they have redone boths. Service was average

Waited around 45 mins for a terribly cooked piece of meat. It said slow cooked when it clearly wasn’t. Chewy and difficult to pull off the bone. It was intended to make own tacos but they were like rubber. Terrible for the price.
The battered squid and curried slaw was good and chips were cooked as normal.
The meal was for my Mum’s birthday and really set the day off on the wrong foot. For that price, quality should be much better. I won’t be returning, although the breakfast does look good.
