I don’t even know where to begin—maybe with the **influencer who hyped this place up and lured me in like a moth to a neon-lit trap**. I came for **belly dancing and Middle Eastern cuisine**—you know, a little dinner, a little show. **How bad could it be?** Famous last words.

We arrived at **7:30**. Waited to be seated. Then waited some more. The “show” finally began around **8:25** and sputtered out after **15 underwhelming minutes**. They clearly thought this glittery distraction would **distract from the culinary trainwreck**—it didn’t.

Let’s talk food. Or rather, **why is this food?**
Portions? Child-sized.
Meat? Passable.
Rice? Bland, lifeless, tasted like sorrow. No sauce in sight—just a lonely blob of **tahini** that felt more like a dare than a condiment. And surprise! That uninspired scoop? $9 extra.

Service? An abomination in several acts.
We were forgotten more times than my houseplants. 30–40 minutes went by before anyone remembered we might want dessert. We ordered kunefe, which arrived in the form of two syrup-soaked sugar pucks masquerading as a dessert. **Oversweetened and undersized**, much like this restaurant’s ambitions.

But wait—there’s more! As if the dining disaster wasn’t enough, **a “photographer” prowls the floor**, instructing guests how to pose, kiss, “manifest,” and perform like you’re auditioning for a dating show in the afterlife. Then, with all the grace of a car salesman at closing time, she tries to sell you each awkward photo for **\$30 a pop**. The reason they don’t bring the check? **They’re buying time for the photographer to pounce.**

So, to sum it up: this place is not a restaurant. It’s a **performance art piece on how to ruin dinner**.
You want Middle Eastern food and a good time? NYC is full of places that won’t rob your soul and wallet.
Do yourself a favor: Run, don’t walk.

Casa La Femme is an amazing find in the West Village. If you want to have a good time and feel like You and an Exotic place Casa La Femme is the place to go. The service, food and ambience is worth a trip. I’ve always been satisfied going to casa La Femme, especially in the evening. Casa La Femme also has a show in the evening hours with belly dancers and great sounding music. Its a must go with your friends.

Exquisite! My mom and I came here for dinner and the staff, ambiance and food were amazing. Our waiter was especially attentive. We had to change our reservation last minute and the restaurant easily accommodated our request. The restaurant was lively on a Friday night but we only had a 3 minute wait to get our table. The decor, vibe, and music, all transport the guests to a Middle Eastern oasis. My mom and I started with some drinks (a mojito and a margarita), both of which were very well made. We then got a triple dip combination for our appetizer (which came with the softest pita bread you will ever taste in your life) as well as the grilled octopus salad (so fresh and divine)! For entrees, my mom ordered the grilled bronzino while I ordered the mixed grill combo which included lamb, a ground beef kebob, and chicken kebob, all of which were delicious. The portions were big enough for us to take the leftovers home. We also got to see the wonderful belly dance show which really entertained the crowd. I genuinely recommend giving this place a chance, for a full tummy and a happy soul. You won’t regret it. A hidden gem in the heart of busy downtown Manhattan. I didn’t expect to find such a beautiful, halal-friendly spot with this much charm and warmth. The food was flavorful, well-portioned, and fairly priced—especially considering you’re also paying for the incredible ambiance. Just a block from Hudson Pier, it's perfect for a sunset stroll after dinner.

The romantic interior, belly dance shows, and DJ nights make it feel like a mini escape. But what truly made my experience memorable was the staff. They treat you more like a friend than a customer—attentive yet respectful of your space. They’ll share stories about the restaurant’s history and décor if you're curious, but never overwhelm you.

Highly recommend for a cozy lunch or a magical evening out.

Coming from a Mediterranean culture this was a very welcome experience. Atmosphere, servixe, drinks and food were all top notch. I especially liked the Nana Khiyar specialty cocktail, make sure to.order plenty of pita with the Mezzas and the mixed grill kabob was phenomenal. Oh, ice cream baklava should be packaged and sold in designer stores! Delish!!

All food is Halal. We have live belly dancing on some nights. Alcohol is served.

Forgione

I’m not sure why the signage & menu’s say Forge & online it’s called Forgione.  I know it’s the owners name.  This was really the only hiccup I had.

I decided to meet up here upon advice, and with a close friend who, like me are pseudo foodies with a carnivorous appetite that day.  I’ve read great reviews and was impressed that this chef has/had Michelin Star ratings.

You’ll spend serious green back here, so be prepared.  Although some plates are in the triple digits, it’s really not that uncommon…at least with steakhouses.  For some it included several pairing dishes.  This would make great location for a power lunch during the day or date night.

This lower Manhattan location is well kept and quite close to other sites.

I found the pacing & some typical etiquette slightly off key in some cases.  It’s really not a big deal, but it stuck out.

Food wise a lot of detail went into plating & rich savory dishes that were certainly bespoke.  The Tomahawk steak shareable was impressive as it was timed well and rendered in a nice blend of butter, oil, & spices…memorable.  We didn’t order a lot of dishes, but enjoyed what we had.

The menu selection is small, yet offered a nice balance of poultry, beef, & fish.  It’s a bit comical as the food section felt hidden amongst the drink selection.  Note, you’ll find an wider, higher end range of spirits to pair or enjoy solo.

Would I go here again and recommend?  Yes.  I’m no Andrew Bourdain, however like him I’ve traversed the globe several times, trying to savor the taste of the different regions.  This isn’t my first Michelin-esque eatery.  I’ll say this, impressive.  Enjoy.

Since 2016, we have had the pleasure of dining at your original location on Reade St. This visit marked our first experience at the new location, which is truly breathtaking. Our friends from Ireland, who joined us for dinner last night during their honeymoon, said it the finest dinner they had ever had. We wholeheartedly agree. The cuisine was absolutely exquisite! The service, food, and ambiance were, as always, exceptional and consistent. Our server, Molly, was outstanding and charismatic. She kept us laughing throughout the evening and was on top of asking about food allergies, which was very important since I recently developed allergies to hazelnuts. The entire team, including the lovely hostesses that greeted us with a warm welcome, Mez, Griffin, Darren, and Robert, provided attentive service, ensuring our every need was met. We really enjoyed our dinner at Forgione last night. Loved the chili lobster as well as the rabbit tartare appetizer special. The monkfish and pork chop were excellent as well. Great seasonal drinks and fun vibrant atmosphere. Service was attentive and friendly. We will definitely return.

We had an amazing experience at Forgione. From the moment we walked in, the host set the tone with a warm welcome and great service that carried through the entire evening.

The food was outstanding; the ravioli and spaghetti were perfectly prepared, the steak was cooked beautifully, and the egg dessert was one of the highlights of the night (creative, delicious, and memorable). Every dish felt thoughtful and elevated, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet special.

Highly recommend for anyone looking for incredible food paired with genuinely attentive service.

My experience at forgione was pretty good. I believe my waiter was in training but the service was still excellent.

Virgin Cantaloupe Daiquiri was nice.

The duck in a jar was delectable, one of the better pates I’ve had. Laotian sushi was missing that green sauce underneath on the first piece but was otherwise delicious.

The hiramasu was a work of art and I enjoyed the presentation and flavors. The sichuan flower was a great touch.

Chili Lobster was more of a thin bisque but had great flavor, lobster was cooked perfectly. Enjoyed the garlic butter toasted bun. I only wish there was more.

Chicken under a brick was also delicious. Chicken was juicy, skin was crispy. Potatoes were nicely cooked and absorbed a good amount of flavor. Unfortunately, two of my broccoli rabe pieces were burnt and that messed up the start of the dish.

Mille Feuille was good enough, pastry was nice and soft, with a solid shell. I should have picked a different dessert.

Would recommend, will try again with another person this time.

The food was absolutely delicious! The kebabs, chicken, and sides were all fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. It’s really hard to find a place that represents Turkish cuisine this well. We enjoyed everything we ordered.

Just a small note: they forgot to include forks and spoons in the order. Other than that, everything was perfect. Still highly recommended and we’ll definitely order again! 👌🇹🇷

Aba is hands down one of the best Turkish restaurants in NYC. Their free BYOB policy is such a rare gem in the city and makes dining here even more enjoyable. We started with the cold appetizer plate, which was fresh, flavorful, and perfect for sharing. The grilled meats are the star of the menu especially the lamb adana kebab, which was juicy, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The shepherd salad was crisp and refreshing, a great balance to the rich flavors of the grill. And to finish, the baklava was absolutely delicious flaky, nutty, and just the right amount of sweet.

The service is warm, the atmosphere is welcoming, and every dish feels made with care. With the combination of incredible food and the BYOB perk, Aba is a true hidden gem I’ll be coming back to again and again.

Really enjoyed my experience at ABA! Nice outdoors patio, wide range of authentic Turkish good and fast service. I got lentil soup, spinach borek, lamb Adana kebab, rice pudding and ended up taking a half home because it was so much! Definitely coming back!

This was my first time at ABA Turkish Restaurant with my family, and I had such a great experience! The place is really cozy and has a nice vibe. Our server was kind and made sure everything was perfect during our dinner.

We ordered the Turkish Kebab and Grilled Whole Branzini both dishes were absolutely delicious! We also had a can of soda each. The food looked amazing and tasted even better—it really felt like a treat.We Ordered Kabak Tatli and Rice Pudding was amazing 🤩

Holy Burger Canal St

Holy Cow in Chinatown really hits the spot when you’re craving a juicy burger in the middle of the city. The patty is thick, flavorful, and perfectly grilled — with melted cheese and a soft bun that holds it all together without getting soggy. The fries are crispy and addictive, and the “holy sauce” adds that extra kick that makes you go, well, holy cow!

The place is small but clean, with quick service and a friendly vibe. Great for a late-night bite or a casual lunch stop.

The wait to order and to get my sandwich took about 25 minutes, and it wasn't even busy — way too long for a simple chopped cheese sandwich. The service here is absolutely abysmal. I only got my food a little sooner because they accidentally made the same order for another customer and decided to give me that one. Realistically, this should have taken 10 minutes tops. The chopped cheese itself tasted fine, but it’s definitely not worth the wait.

I would definitely recommend this place. The food and atmosphere is immaculate. I’m definitely coming back with family.

Holy Burger is hands down one of the best burger spots I’ve been to. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming and the service is friendly and efficient. I got the chance to try this restaurant for lunch. When I arrived I found parking on the street nearby. I walked into a small cozy restaurant. This restaurant is on their last days which is sad so make sure you get there so you can get some good eats! I had:

Found this place on Eater and this place did not disappoint. I’ve been craving traditional buffalo wings (original confession) and it was amazinggggggggg!!! I love that you can customize the crispiness. Deepak also went out of his way to make sure the sauces were pasteurized since I’m pregnant and I thought that was really thoughtful. Check this place out! I will definitely come back!!

Small little spot but definitely worth it.  Not a lot of seating if you are looking to eat there but I did take out and it was so good.  I got the Tandoori wing lunch special which was really good.  Tandoori is a dry rub that had a little heat but wasn't overpowering at all and thay it coming from someone who cannot handle heat.  Definitely get your fries dusted.  I went with the lemon pepper and it was delicious.  The star of the show was definitely the  chicken birria quesadilla.  IT WAS AMAZING! You cannot come here and skip this it really is thag good.  This place packs a lot of flavor and the price is very fair here.  Definitely will be back

We've been ordering in from this place frequently, but I was curious to experience the ambiance and savor a fresh, hot sandwich in-house. Regrettably, it's not a dine-in establishment, but the food is simply extraordinary. The wings are a standout, with flavors like garlic parm, chili mango, and black pepper teriyaki that were all exceptionally delicious. Alongside the wings, we indulged in two sandwiches; the BBQ fried chicken sandwich was a succulent and crispy delight.
If you are in the neighborhood definitely try their food. You will not regret it.

Au Za'atar - East Village

Great food, had 7:30 pm reservation and it was not too busy.  By the time we left it was packed, later night restaurant.  Had lots of small plates such as hummus n pita, fried cheese covered in honey, a salad and all the sauces.  Beer was Lebanese served with lemon and salted rim of glass which was PERFECT and a first for me.  The meal was the small platter which was all flavorful and well cooked.  Would certainly return, service was good as everyone works as a team.

We came here for dinner. My boyfriend and I were exploring the East Village and wanted something different so we spotted Au Za'atar and went in. We didn't make reservations but luckily we got a table right away. Started with the SAMBOUSIK LAHME as appetizer (beef-filled pastry pockets with pine nuts) and it was delicious. Then we shared the Mixed Grill Platter Supreme (Shish Tawook, Filet Mignon, Chicken & Beef Kafta kebabs with hand-cut frites). It's big enough for two and full of flavor. After eating we got their dessert. We ordered chocolate salted caramel soufflé that wasn't too sweet. We also tried their cocktail Karkade. It's a refreshing hibiscus drink. The lamb shank melted off the bone— so incredibly flavorful. Spicy hummus was amazing. Some of the best rice I’ve ever had. Our server Olivia was so welcoming, warm and sweet! She made the dinner even better, not overbearing but was there to bring us anything we needed as well as some awesome recommendations.

AMAZING experience! The host, and server experience was top notch. They make you feel special. My husband has been here once before and he was excited to take me, I didn't have much of an expectation but they blew me away! My only point is who expensive they are but no stars taken away for that. Food comes out fresh, and I appreciate that they tell you it will take maybe even 30min to come. So I was well prepared and not asking questions. They ask you if you'd like appetizers meanwhile. I just always love transparency. We ordered the platter, and it didn't fill us enough so we ordered a second platter too. Thank u for a great experience, I would love to come back!!

These are truly some of the best tacos I’ve ever had. Being vegetarian, it’s difficult to find sufficient options when out with friends, but the vegetarian taco and Hot Cheeto esquite here are impeccable. Esquite was so good, we had to order 2! I found Birria Les in July with two close friends before we went off to college and once we returned for winter break, we came straight back. HIGHLY recommend dining here!! Portion sizes are perfect and price is affordable as well!!

In NYC. Finding halal food can be a challenge for people coming from London- I thought halal birria was out of the question. Such a gem , the lady working from tills was kind and informative. The food was delicious and so yummy, 2 years on and I still think about it . Went there twice (we stayed in diamond district and still travelled to eat here) consome so lush and rich , birria was perfect !

I was visiting from Toronto, Canada and kept hearing great things about Birria Les, so I decided to stop by. This place serves some of the best halal birria I have ever had. As soon as I walked in, the smell coming from the kitchen told me the food was going to be good. The staff were friendly and quick, and you can tell they put real care into the food.

I ordered the birria tacos with consome and they were incredible. The tortillas were crisp, the beef was tender and full of flavor, and the broth had a rich taste that made every bite better. The portions were generous and everything tasted fresh and well made. I also tried the quesabirria and it had the perfect mix of cheese, beef, and crunch.

The space has a real New York vibe. It is small, energetic, and focused on serving quality food. You can see the kitchen right in front which adds to the experience. The location on Rivington Street is great for grabbing a quick bite that still feels special.

If you are looking for delicious halal birria in the Lower East Side, this spot should be at the top of your list. I will definitely come back the next time I am in New York.

Wohlesome Burger Experience at Time Square! The Service was incredibly friendly and helpful. We had Burgers, Fries and chicken wings and everything tasted amazing. The Food was Served quickly but with high quality. The Restaurant is managed professional and the food prepared with Passion. Could Not have been any better.

The food was very good and came out fast.  However I can't help but mention that it rubbed me a funny way that a Muslim owned and run restaurant in NYC called their hottest wing sauce "911."  Then to top it off as I'm eating my meal I hear a customer at the counter order and say "I'll have the nine eleven sauce." 😂

I wanted a burger with bacon but the only options were the big big which had double everything. I asked if I could add bacon to another burger and he said “ yes but it 4 dollars extra.”

I’ve had this place bookmarked for quite some time and really wanted to love it. The service was friendly and the food was ok, but mostly too sweet for my taste. The best bites were the appetizers. We ordered the roti canai and the calamari, both on point. The entrees: mee goreng, curry laksa, and fried fish filet were all too sweet. Glad I tried it, but probably wouldn’t return.

Attentive and pleasant service is the best feature of this restaurant. We were not impressed with their food though. Nasi lemak and chicken satay was just ok, we definitely had much better elsewhere. We especially did not like the beef nasi lemak (beef was chewy and fatty), chicken one was better but not great.

I hadn’t been here in a long time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The place looks beautiful after the remodel, the food is still just as delicious, and the service has improved a lot, both in attention and presentation.

Great spot for a small but mighty variety of well executed Vietnamese, Malaysian, and Thai options. Plus the staff is warm, helpful when it comes to food allergies, and willing to help you navigate the menu if you need.

3 stars because I found the food was absolutely MEH. The curries were WAYYYY SALTY!!! Everything was honestly just OK and too salty, and also either overcooked or undercooked and with the same sauce.

The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and have confirmed its halal status. Only the chicken is reported to be halal by the Muslim owner.

I had the craziest hankering for Chicken Biryani while writing at the PIT and happened upon this spacious casual Indian spot. And it lives up to its name. Fast and excellent service. I kinda wish I had come earlier with my laptop. Will take a crush here. This biryani is that good! I am savoring every bite lmao

Came here after attending Comic con. The food was delicious and the Chicken Biryana is a very big portion for the price.

Awesome spot. Food was incredible and staff were very welcoming and nice. Felt this pressure to finish the food fast and get out because line was long during peak hours and they wanted to get them in fast. Staff would routinely check on us to make sure we were eating and take bowls/plates/utensils as soon as we finished them to clear them off the table to help for cleanup. If you want to come here for a date and want to sit around and relax or have tea or dessert I would go elsewhere because this is more of a have your food and get out type of spot.

We had a great experience at Top Thai Restaurant! We ordered the Tom Kha soup, green curry, chicken satay, and Pad See Ew — everything was delicious. Top Thai in Greenwich Village feels like that friend who studied abroad in Bangkok, came home, and learned how to cook for a dinner party where everyone wants seconds and nobody wants to sweat through their shirt.

First things first: this is not hardcore, street-stall-in-the-alley Thai. And it is not pretending to be. The flavors are clearly tuned for a U.S. palate. Sauces are smoother, sweetness is more pronounced, spice is gentler unless you ask nicely and maybe wink. Purists might clutch their pearls. Everyone else is happily slurping noodles.

The menu hits all the greatest hits people rave about in reviews for a reason. Pad Thai that shows up glossy and comforting, drunken noodles that actually deserve the name, curries that lean rich and cozy rather than fiery and feral. Portions are generous enough to spark that internal debate about whether you should box half or commit fully to the moment. Most people commit.

The vibe is another crowd favorite. The room is lively without being chaotic, snug without feeling cramped, and perpetually buzzing like it knows it’s a neighborhood staple. You’ll hear forks clinking, friends laughing, and at least one table confidently announcing, “We’ll do medium spice,” before quietly reconsidering life choices.

Service is where Top Thai really earns its gold stars. The staff are warm, quick, and genuinely friendly in that unforced, you’re-welcome-here way. They explain dishes, check in without hovering, and somehow keep things moving even when the place is packed, which it often is. You feel taken care of, not rushed, not ignored, just comfortably fed and happy.

Is it the most authentic Thai food in NYC? No. Is it delicious, reliable, fun, and exactly what you want on a Greenwich night when hunger meets indecision? Absolutely yes. Top Thai isn’t trying to transport you to Thailand. It’s trying to make you very, very satisfied where you’re sitting. And honestly, it succeeds with a smile and a full plate.

I went with friends and we ordered the Platter where you can pick any 3 appetizers for $39. We chose the crispy duck roll ($16), curry puffs ($15), and chicken dumplings ($14). If you bought them separately it would’ve been $45, so the platter saves you $6 — definitely worth it!

They also had a promo at the time where if you wrote a positive review and showed them, you’d get a free Thai tea. My friend did it and got the tea, which I thought was a fun little perk.

For my main dish I had the Top Thai fried rice with chicken ($23) and loved it. Everything we ordered — from the platter to the mains — was flavorful and satisfying. I also got their Thai bubble tea, which made me extra happy because I’m obsessed with boba.

Overall, this was a great spot with good food, fun promos, and drinks. I would definitely come back here!

I’m not sure how this place has such a high rating. Being the Chicken Sandwich Connoisseur I tried out two of their sandwiches. Nothing unique about either. Pretty standard compared to the competition. Slightly better than Chick-fil-A but twice the cost. I give them a 3 as it’s an average sandwich.

I do feel like the restaurant needs a security of some sort , there was someone there being loud / aggressive and disruptive (some people unfazed) but not sure if this is normal for NYC

The food was absolutely terrible. I usually don’t write reviews, especially not about a place that has nice staff, but the food was horrible. I ordered the chicken pop and fries combo and my order was ready within 2 minutes of placing it, already a red flag to me. When I opened the fries container, a horrible smell came out of it and it was just loaded with paprika right on top. The fries would’ve been good if not for the paprika, though. The chicken tasted alright, but the smell was just horrible and I ended up throwing the food away. “spicy fries” aren’t supposed to be just regular fries with a pound of paprika thrown on top.

Wow: What a lovely, clean and inviting space. So grateful to have found this little gem, in our neighborhood, on 9th Ave! : ) Shoutout to Mohamed for the best chicken sandwich and fries in town. Everything tasted so very delicious and fresh — and the warmth of his kind smile made my day! The food here wasn't great. I ordered a slider and chicken tenders. I ordered the slider x-hot, it wasn't spicy at all.

The chicken tenders had pretty much no flavor. The only saving grace was the sauce, if you didn't dip it into the sauce it would just taste like nothing. It wasn't even salty.

The shake was pretty decent though.

The prices are also pretty high for what you get.

I probably won't come here again.

Girlllll I will definitely be back here again. I don’t know why I don’t go as often. I know about this restaurant and I’ve gotten food from here before but it’s been years since I stepped foot in there or got food from there and when I went, it was so nostalgic. It reminded me of back home and the food was so good. It tasted just like it does back home. The waitress was so nice and understanding she accommodated for me in literally every way. And the portions are HUGEEEEE like I only ate half of my food and I took the rest home because I was so full and everything was seasoned to perfection. It was just an overall 10 out of 10 experience

I'm annoyed at myself for the delay in coming here. Satisfying dishes. Remarkably helpful employees. Tasty spice combinations. Fair bills and pleasant staff. The neighborhood stays active after dinner hours. This restaurant achieves total quality.

I celebrated my birthday here last week and it was HORRIBLE! Everybody was incredibly unkind, impatient, unprofessional, rude and nasty. There was no smile or warm expression, they were acting as if I was celebrating there for free, even though I gave them a lot of money. (Rushing us, lying about there being no cake, not wanting to cut the cake, yelling at me, sabotaging our photo taking, complaining about everything, obviously not knowing how parties work).

They were pushing the appetizers on us right away, even though I kindly asked them to just wait a little bit, until other guests arrive. They brought the entrees very quickly after that, just to kind of “force us to leave quickly”, even though we stayed there overall in the allowed timeframe (8pm-11pm). I arrived 5 minutes late (8:05pm), they were later lying that I was an hour late… When the time for the cake 🎂 came, I asked them: “Where is the cake?” and they were pretending like they didn’t know what I was talking about, even though in all of our e-mails, I clearly said to them that I also want the cake to be brought out and cut, and I paid for that, too. My dad and I had, actually, brought the cake the day before (and it was a very expensive and meaningful cake, btw). When they finally stopped lying and brought the cake that they were very well aware of, they didn’t wanna cut it. I could not believe my eyes. 👀 They said: “There is not enough time, there is another party waiting”. And we still had like 25-ish minutes left. How unprofessional is that? Trying to ruin somebody’s birthday by sabotaging the most important part - the cake.

The nasty manager was yelling in my face in front of everybody, when I was trying to convince them to cut the cake, which was already agreed upon. My friend managed to convince him, but, from what I’ve seen, not every guest was served a piece of cake. And the pieces were embarrassingly tiny, BTW. They were being stingy with somebody else’s cake.

The big bumbly guy was whining about us taking photos, and ordered us to stop, because, apparently, some Karens were complaining. Initially, I was told that it was ok. My friends and I have reasons to celebrate life, actually, but Pergola is not the place to match the energy. 🤷🏻‍♀️
The waitresses were complaining and being passive-aggressive about the balloons and the flower basket, too, even though I was initially told it was ok. The w-fi was not working.

There were many attempts by these unprofessional people to ruin my birthday, but they failed: my birthday was amazing thanks to my friends and me. Pergola only ruined its reputation and name, which is obviously something they have done in the past, as well.

Great ambience and setup to enjoy the delicious food and hookah. Staff is nice and service is great. We went on a day it was not busy due to weather. Food ordered was good in tastes. Drinks and hookah was also good.

One of my favorite mediterranean oasis in nyc. I usually avoid trendy food spots with long lines, but this one completely changed my mind. The flavors were rich, bold, and absolutely unforgettable. The garlic and spicy sauces took everything to the next level—creamy, tangy, and perfectly balanced. The serving size was massive; easily enough for two people to share without feeling shortchanged. Every bite tasted freshly made and full of authentic spices. You can tell they take pride in quality and consistency. The staff were friendly, the line moved fast, and the food was worth every minute of waiting. I’m already planning my next visit for another plate!

Absolutely amazing!! Must try if you’re in nyc. Got the Adels famous chicken over spicy rice bowl and again, it was phenomenal. It was very flavorful and fulfilling. Do not forget the spicy sauce on the side! Absolutely worth the approximately 30 minute wait in line. Do not let the wait scare you away. It’s definitely worth it! It’s hard to find seating nearby and no parking space nearby.

I finally tried Adel’s Famous Halal after hearing so much about it, and while the food was decent, it didn’t completely live up to the hype. The flavors were good and everything was cooked well enough, but nothing really stood out in the way I expected based on all the buzz.

The portions were fair and the seasoning was solid, but the overall experience felt more “okay” than exceptional. It wasn’t bad by any means—just not the unforgettable meal it’s often made out to be. For a place with such a big reputation, I expected more depth in the flavor and a bit more freshness in the overall presentation.

Service was quick and the staff were friendly, which definitely added to the positive side of the visit. If you’re nearby and craving halal, it’s a decent option. But is it worth going out of your way for or calling it “famous” level? Not really, at least based on my experience.

In short, good food, but definitely overhyped.

Adel’s Famous Halal Cart is easily one of the best halal carts I’ve ever tried. I’ve had halal food in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and several spots around Midtown NYC, but this one truly stands out. I finally understand the hype!

We visited during the holiday season and got there around 5:30 PM — the line started forming even as the truck was still being moved into place. Despite the crowd, the service was quick, and the portion sizes were amazing for the price. I got two chicken‑over‑rice plates for $24.36, which felt like a great deal.

They do offer an order‑ahead option, though the price is slightly higher. If you’re visiting NYC, you absolutely have to try this cart — or order ahead if you want to skip the line. The white sauce they serve with the fries is the real star… incredibly tasty!

Make sure to get in line early and enjoy the food!

This is the newest talk of the town halal cart in Mid Town Manhattan on 6th Avenue. The Food is really good, the menu is simple and straightforward, they have beef, lamb, and chicken in meat, and falafel in vegetarian option. The most famous part about this place is the wait, it takes minimum of 25 minutes waiting in the queue, while on weekend nights it easily reaches up to one hour. Please be prepared to order as they are in a rush to take order, but amazingly they always get your order right. Both cash and card (contactless) payments are accepted, though paying by cash is cheaper. The order taker and server can be nice or rude depending on their mood and your style of ordering. Both are efficient nonetheless. They charge additional money for extra sauces. The only downside is that the base of rice bowl is layered up with Pita that means lesser rice, though quantity of meat is decent. Plenty of outdoor seating option available around the area. Paid street parking by is available on both adjoining streets as well as 6th Avenue after 6 PM Daily and all day Sunday.

Went on a Sunday night at around 7:30/8. I was surprised at how empty it was and I hope more people visit. It’s a great place for a nice night out and a business meeting. Staff is friendly and well informed. They have been around for 12 years and the chef is also the chef behind Prime Bistro in Five Towns.

Another great spot in the heart of Manhattan, it’s only a short walk from Bryant Park. While here ww enjoyed sushi, ribs appetizer as well as steaks and multiple sides for dinner. Everything was cooked perfectly, service was superb and my kids and I enjoyed the ambiance. This place has several rooms that can be used as a private event space for a special occasion.

From the welcoming to the leaving everything, the ambiance, the food, the place was amazingly wonderful. Top notch service!! Food was great and delicious.
The bar needs a little more training or updating but everything else was amazing.

I just wrapped up the most epic Holiday Luncheon Party from my healthcare staffing company ProMed Staffing Resources at ilili restaurant NOMAD and I'm still buzzing!  Jessie Jodet, Private Event Manager extraordinaire, made the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are unmatched. We were in good hands!

Stepping into ilili felt like a holiday miracle: festive vibes, twinkling lights, and a tree that sparkled like magic. The private room was perfection, accommodating our crew of 30 with ease.

But let's talk food… oh, the food! ilili took us on a delicious Lebanese culinary journey. Creamy hummus, mouthwatering fattoush, crunchy falafel... and don't even get me started on the mains (beef and chicken kebab, halibut on squash purée…YUM!). And those crafted cocktails? To. Die. For.

The service was top-notch, too. Carlos, our waiter, was attentive and friendly, and Jessica, the manager, stopped by to ensure we were all having a blast.

One of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve had! Beautiful presentation and amazing flavors. I’ve tried many Lebanese spots across the US, but this is the only place with a perfect tabbouleh! Fresh, balanced, and authentic. The grape leaves were delicious too, but strangely both dishes weren’t listed on the menu (thankfully we asked the waiter, who was super friendly and helpful). Great vibes, great food, highly recommend!

As a Lebanese, I have to admit I’m (very) picky when it comes to Lebanese food, as it carries precious memories and traditions. I can truly say that every dish felt authentic and infused with love, reminding me of home in the most beautiful way. My favorites were the tabbouleh, kebbeh and the eggplant chips (modern twist). The sumac margarita was absolutely delicious. The setting is refined and elegant, without feeling pretentious. This is Lebanese cuisine done right in NYC.

Beautiful location, delicious food! Just the flavors you’d expect from mediterranean food. The mixed grill was cooked perfectly. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was service… unfortunately our server Yasmeen wasn’t really friendly. I’d return but ask for a different server.

We came for lunch hoping for the tasting menu, not realizing it’s usually only offered at dinner. The team kindly accommodated us with a mini five-course menu, which was such a thoughtful touch. Every dish was delicious, beautifully balanced, and clearly made with care. The service was warm, attentive, and exceptional. An unforgettable lunch — we can’t wait to come back.

The whole experience was wonderful! The food is amazing, the service is impeccable!! I made the reservation without specifying an occasion, it was my brothers bday and they saw me giving him a gift (though I had no idea that anyone noticed! Because it was so quick), they brought us a sorbet and a candle at the end. The service was quick and everyone was so nice! The food was AMAZING! Definitely recommend and will definitely go back!

I had lunch at Junoon during my New York trip and the experience was smooth from start to finish. The drinks were presented well, especially the smoky cocktail. The starters were flavorful and had a clean, modern presentation.

The dal, rice, greens and curry were well seasoned and served at the right temperature. The flavors felt balanced and nothing was overly spicy. Service was steady, polite and perfectly timed.

If you want Indian food in New York that feels refined but still familiar, Junoon delivers a consistent experience.

The service was really amazing!! Loved the eggplant chaat and canapés. The achari paneer main course was very unique and delicious. The junoon spiced Naan was a perfect combination to the paneer. The dal tanka was good but dal makhani was very underwhelming. I had the paan kulfi for desert and loved it! Overall, really great experience with the 4-course dinner.

My fiancée took me out to celebrate birthday dinner at Junoon; the food, service, and overall experience were outstanding. The four-course Prestige tasting menu was beautifully executed with standout dishes like the ghost pepper chicken tikka, tandoori octopus, shrimp moilee, and the rich shank laal maas. Every bite was flavorful and thoughtfully prepared.

We also appreciated the naan and sauces included with the meal; truly delicious and high-quality. The staff went above and beyond with service, including a surprise birthday sorbet that made the evening feel extra special.

On top of that, the team was incredibly understanding and professional when we had an issue with cash for gratuity; they handled it with grace and made us feel comfortable. A rare and appreciated level of hospitality.

Junoon has an amazing legacy as one of NYC’s first Michelin-starred Indian restaurants (holding a star for eight years) with a modern, elevated take on Indian cuisine, and the experience lives up to that reputation.

Euljiro Korean Bistro

Delicious food and very warm service. It’s a dream to have such a cozy Korean spot in the village with great food, drink, and vibes that remind me of home. A hidden gem for now but get in quick before the crowd hits!

My mom and I were in the neighborhood and were craving some Korean food...decided to try out Euljiro.  What a pleasant surprise!  Everything we ordered was so delicious and beyond our expectations:

Appetizer: Seaweed salad and salmon roll - extremely fresh and tasty, perfect fish to rice ratio (I hate when places overload on the rice)
Main: Jjampong - Super rich, hearty, comforting and spicy just like it should be...a tad on the salty side but delicious nonetheless and hit the spot on that cold evening
Tofu and Kimchi combo - Fresh tofu nicely toned down the spiciness and saltiness of the fried kimchi
Didn't have room for dessert as everything was quite filling but next time would definitely like to try some along with a slushy soju!
Staff was amazingly friendly and accommodating...kind, lovely people...will definitely return to support this small, local business and so should you :)

The jjamppong was delicious, and the service was top-notch. I would highly recommend the makkoli slushy!

This was my first Smashburger in America, and my expectations were exceeded after trying them in Dublin and Paris. They have a simple menu yet still, I decided to ask the manager for a recommendation. She playfully suggested the smash burger with Mac sauce, wrapped in lettuce, even teasing that it's her favorite but “I wouldn't choose it.” I saw it as a challenge and had to try it. The taste blew me away, each bite felt incredibly fresh, and it made me question the need for bread in a burger. The presentation may not look extraordinary, but the mouthfeel is the real star. I rate it 5/5 and highly recommend it!

Checked out the newly reopened Smashed — they just opened a bigger and better new location down the road from the original Smashed. They’re doing $12 lunch sets where you get a single Smashburger (a single cheeseburger), a huge serving of fries and a drink.

The burger was okay - I felt like the smashed was overdone where it was a bit too crispy without the corresponding flavor. It’s not a competition but I preferred 7th Street as I felt they both taste similar, but Smashed lacks a certain flavor punch.

The fries were really thin and crispy. I liked them, but would have also preferred more flavor on them. They were really generous with the portions so one is enough for a few people.

The newly done renovations are good 😊 But felt slightly clinical!

Easily the best smash burger in all of NYC, better than hamburger America! There’s different options on the menu and can order up to 3 patties on one burger, their own house sauce tasted good, and a nice dine in area to sit down and talk and even offers a bar and a big tv to play sporting events.

It's nice store front when you order. You don't go inside but order from the outside. The menu is small but the food was very tasty a dash of spicy other mashed potatoes which I thought was good. I bought the smashed burger single. It was good but wish it was a little bigger. I don't have any photos of the food myself and wife wolf that down pretty quickly lol. Next time I'll take a photo of the food we bought. Plus another bonus no plastic bag but they give to you in a carrying box in black and black napkin's s a nice touch. Only one thing I don't like is they take a tip for themselves. It just come out of your pay I rather tip myself but then again I am not going to sit down or not ordering takeout. That's my only issue but other than that it's good food for for your soul. Going back again to try their other selections and they have shakes. Went a third time 2/18/2022 this time the fries were hard and very salty still good though but not soft. My burger with onion rings and bacon was awesome just wish it was a little bigger but did enjoy it very much. I hope to try the whole menu in another week or so

A go-to lunch spot! Friendly service and an awesome value for money. You pay by weight. Lots of great options to choose from. So far I’ve had the beef stew and jerk chicken with Rasta pasta and mac n’ cheese. So yummy!

Great little deli with amazing Indian food! The fried shrimp are a must try, and they often have special Indian dishes in addition to the regular menu. The owner, Aziz uncle, is super friendly and cheerful, which makes the visit even nicer. Not much seating inside, but its perfect for takeout. Highly recommend!

This place is pretty good. It’s a hot buffet at a very reasonable price with a wide selection of Indian foods (butter chicken, beef curry, biryani, etc) + Jamaican jerk chicken and Chinese general Tso chicken. Even with such a wide range of foods, everything was very thoughtfully and tastefully prepared. The owner was quite friendly and sociable too. A great spot for an easy lunch experience  or takeout, especially if you’re coming out of the north side of the park. Chai was great too

Bawarchi makes the most delicious kati rolls and dosas in the whole city. Their prices are amazing and Aziz really cares about the quality of his food and provides excellent service. I have been coming here since before the pandemic and it's never fallen short of superb yet. This is one of my most treasured casual spots in the city, and I hope they are around for a long time. If I lived in the upper east side instead of Sunnyside, I would order dinner from here once a week minimum. Ok, enough talk, time to eat this dosa.

I am astounded. Wandered in as I'm working in the area, ended up finding the best Indian buffet I've ever been to. I wish I had two stomachs. Literally everything I tried from the Butter Chicken, to Naan, to Beef Stew and Fish was too notch. Hight recommend.

Mamoun's Falafel

Mamouns is a staple and a must-go whenever I'm in the city. Super friendly, super delicious, super quick. Shawarma is :chef's kiss: and the falafel is so so good. If you like babaganoush, I really have to say it's some of the best I've ever had ❤️ (cards/Google/Apple pay accepted, but a discount for cash) Cannot wait to stop into macdougal st again :)

Said to be the best Falafel in New York and it certainly did not disappoint. I am not too much of a fan of falafel, but this is pretty good. The sauce is a little bit too sour to my taste.

Been coming to this location for many years. Absolutely delicious food and the atmosphere brings back great memories. But lately I have noticed things are definitely changing. They got rid of their original homemade lentil soup. They now serve some ready made soup instead. Definitely not the same experience.
Last time I was there, they were all out of shawarma and lamb kebab. They only had falafel, kofta and chicken kebab, at 9pm!
I’ve been to this place hundreds if not thousands of times, never have I seen them be out of any kind of dish.
It’s not the end of the world but when you take a long trip for over an hour to grab some good old shawarma sandwiches just to find out that they’re all out, it’s disappointing.
I have been to some of their other locations but nothing beats an original location. I hope they bring back some of the old experience and continue to keep this place great as it always has been.

Perfect 'hole in the wall' place to get your Kati rolls! We had chicken egg roll and it was super yummy! We make sure to come here during our visit to NYC! Try it if you're in the area..

A good place for a quick bite. It has the flavors , taste and touch of India. Small place with couple of seating option. Take away is viable option for large group. Street parking and don’t expect to get slots . Prices are normal and staffs are friendly. Good Kati roll to try when you are in the area

Nice little (and I mean that literally) spot nestled on MacDougal Street that I found in a book called One Food Wonders. Worth the trip. I went with the Unda steak roll and Kingfisher beer which paired well together. The wrap is hard to keep together so make sure you grab a plastic fork before you sit down, if you are able to get one of the few spots in there. The menu is limited which is why it is in the book, but if you like that kind of food definitely worth a try.

Chana masala rolls (around $7 each), very delicious and affordable! The service was quick. Highly recommended!

The food, vibe, and service were all great! Really loved the chicken tikka roll and veg momos.

Omar’s Taste serves some of the best Mediterranean food around truly authentic and full of flavor! The Chicken Shawarma Platter is a beauty perfectly seasoned and served in a generous portion that’s easy to share between two people.

You also get to pick your sides, and I highly recommend going with the hummus and baba ghanoush both are incredibly fresh and rich in flavor. To top it off, they serve complimentary baklava with the check a sweet and thoughtful finish to a great meal.

Cleanliness is good, but they wiped our table with a foul-smelling cloth, which made the start a bit unpleasant I’d suggest avoiding that as it spoils the mood.

If you’re craving authentic Mediterranean food with great portions and hospitality, Omar’s Taste is the place to go!

Absolutely delicious! Omar Mediterranean Cuisine nails it with fresh, flavorful dishes and warm, welcoming service. We tried their signature dish it was delicious especially the eggplant salad.  Don’t skip the baklava for dessert!

This restaurant is best when it comes to food, ambiance and service. Food presentation is also so cool. The location is awesome in midtown Manhattan. Perfect place for Dinner and Lunch. Prices are also economical given the location and food.

Ambiance (4/5): The back dining area is well lit and quiet! There's plenty of seating and was pretty busy on a weekend lunch hour.
Service (2/5):
The front part of the restaurant is a fast plate ordering to go. There was about 3 staff members working both stations so it was difficult to get service in the back dining area.
Omar Signiture Dish (5/5): Everything on the platter was delicious! The lamb kabob was my favorite and the chicken was incredibly juicy. The protein is seasoned wonderfully with pronounced spices. The seasoned rice complemented well w the meats. The portion was enough for 1.5 persons.
The table has bottles of yogurt sauce and hot sauce. Both were delicious complements to the dish but the flavors didn’t need it!
Sharing plates incurs an extra $5 fee. Groups with 5 or more has an included 20% tip.

I go here 2x a week. This is the best Mediterranean food in the area and best lunch spot in the area by far, especially for the great price. The food is always amazing quality (I always get the lentils and the lamb Adana). The people who work there are the best as well.

We absolutely loved our experience here! The Hummus and Sambusak were delicious starters, and the Ash Reshteh soup was rich and flavorful. Both the Beef Koobideh Kabob and the Lamb were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. On top of that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. I stopped by here for a late lunch for the first time. As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile and enthusiasm. Everyone that worked there said hello and looked happy to be there.
The restaurant itself is very cute, cozy, and clean.

I’m pretty new to Persian Cuisine and have only had it once other time. While I liked it the first time- this time I REALLY enjoyed it. The koobideh kabobs were seasoned perfectly and was soo juicy and tender. For dessert I got Persian tea (which I love) and I decided to try to Faloodeh. The fresh lemon and sour cherries were a lovely touch, making it very light and fresh after that amazing meal. The noodles in it were also a nice surprise as it gave it a nice texture. The best part is I didn’t feel overstuffed or tired after eating. It felt like I was eating a comforting home meal- that being said I left extremely happy and satisfied lol

I also got the dark meat chicken Kabob to as well to try it .. it was sooo juicy. I think I could just eat the chicken every day like that alone lol in the to go bag they also packed some of their delicious fresh bread, along with sauces for it and some sumac.

Needless to say, I will be returning again! I’m constantly craving that koobideh and I absolutely want to try some new things!

Also needed to add that while I was eating, a customer came in wanting gluten free options. One gentleman kindly stood there and assisted her, pointing out everything she could get. The people always make the places better.

We started with the Mediterranean salad — fresh and full of flavor, easily a 9/10. The lamb koobideh was juicy and cooked just right, with that delicious saffron rice on the side. But the real star? The chicken fesinjan. That sauce was on another level — rich, bold, and unforgettable. Definitely a must-try. Will be coming back for sure!

We ordered the eggplant appetizer, yogurt with mint and cucumber, and chicken kebab with rice. Everything was fresh and very well prepared. The freshly baked bread was also a nice touch. Overall, the food quality was very good.

However, I was surprised to see an 18% service charge automatically added to the bill. Honestly, it's the first time a restaurant has ever charged me a service fee like that — and it was separate from the tip I personally added.

The food is absolutely delicious; you'll want to savor every bite. It's a clean and delightful establishment. They even offer complimentary bread, soup, and salad, which is a wonderful touch. This spot is truly a gem in NYC!

Terrible, Awful food always. I’ve tried this place 3 too many times. I keep giving them chances. This is my last attempt I will be going back to Wingstop. I order lemon pepper wings they are always soaked in oil. This time I requested extra lemon pepper since I knew last time the seasoning didn’t stick very well to the oil. THEY GAVE ME EXTRA OIL. My wings were swimming in oil (top left of picture) I had to take them out of the oil pool and coat them in my own lemon pepper seasoning I had at home. I will not be returning to atomic wings. Horrible food

This place was nice and low key. We ordered boneless 10 piece with honey bbq and medium buffalo. We did not wait long our food was hot and tasty! Bomb wing spot especially if you had some drink!

I’ve been ordering from this place since I’ve moved in to Harlem. I love their chicken and Thai sauce.
The only thing is: colors in the store is a little bit not welcoming.
