I rarely give 5 stars on food, but this deserves it! This was hands down the best food I've had in a long time! The burger was so soft and juicy. I ordered the Shackmeister and it was amazing! The chicken bites and the chips just added to it, and the caramel shake was so good! 😋 they even had honey mustard too!! Try this food, you won't be disappointed.

Stopped at Shake Shack on Tottenham Court Road for a quick bite and it delivered exactly what you expect—fast, consistent, and solid across the board. The burger was juicy and well put together, with the usual soft bun, melted cheese, and good balance of sauce and seasoning. Fries were hot, crisp, and not greasy, which is not always a given with fast food. The shake was thick, smooth, and tasted as it should—rich but not overly sweet.

Service was fast and efficient, even during a busy stretch. Staff were polite and kept the queue moving without cutting corners. The space is clean, seating was available, and the turnover was fast enough that it did not feel cramped.

Pricing is what it is—higher than average for fast food, but still worth it for the consistency and quality you get. You know what you are getting, and they stick to it well. A dependable option if you are in the area and want something quick but better than the usual chains.

I would also suggest that they have the world’s smallest sink in that toilet lol! Should’ve been much bigger!

I absolutely love Shake Shack! The food is always fresh, and the burgers are to die for. The ShackBurger is a must-try—juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The crinkle-cut fries are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and just the right amount of salty.

This is my first time trying this location and Lochitha welcomed us with a smile and helped us with our order, which made the experience even better. Delicious food, quiet and spacious, but extremely expensive. We orders for two people, a burger, fries and milkshake for both of us, and i believe the price came up to around 50-60£

Very quick service. Polite staff and a very clean restaurant. I want to especially mention the staff behind the counter who served me with a smile and asked if I wanted any sauce for my fries. Awesome interaction - this is how hospitality should be :)

Very poor management. Only one girl working in front and back. She is clearly under a lot of pressure doing all the jobs by herself. Will call the council as well about this. I don't recommend coming here as there is a very big cue always. I work across the road and I come here often it's always like this.

Firstly, the area is dirty. We came in because of the double deal at 5.99£
The burger was so salty, i have never found food salty in kfc but this was bad.
The table was dirty. We cleaned it up. The person who got us the burger, we told him it was salty and he ignored us which was not cool at all. Bad service, bad food. Good cold drinks tho. Please definitely check on this.

I had a great experience at KFC recently, and I just had to leave a review to highlight the incredible service I received from Dinithi. It was during a really busy time, and I was honestly surprised to see that she was the only person at the front — not only taking orders at the till but also preparing the food all by herself. Despite the pressure and the long queue of customers, she stayed calm, friendly, and professional throughout.

Dinithi greeted everyone with a smile and made sure each order was prepared correctly and quickly. I could see she was doing the work of multiple people, but she never let it show in a negative way. It’s rare to see that kind of dedication and attitude, especially in such a fast-paced environment. She went above and beyond, and I really appreciated the way she handled everything so smoothly.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at KFC Southampton Road, and a huge part of that was thanks to Dinithi! From the moment I stepped in, her warm and welcoming attitude stood out. She greeted me with a smile, made sure my order was taken correctly, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect.

Dinithi showed real professionalism and care — qualities that truly elevate the customer experience. She was patient, polite, and attentive, even during what looked like a busy shift. The food was fresh and hot, but it’s the service that made this visit memorable.

It’s rare to see someone take such pride in their work in a fast-paced environment like this. Dinithi is a real asset to the KFC team, and I hope her efforts are recognised — she deserves it!

In our KFC Halal restaurants we do not handle any pork ingredients, and all the food and drink items served in these restaurants are approved by the Halal Food Authority. This ensures the very best Halal food standards but does mean that certain menu items and limited time offers may not be available.

A very pleasant, solid 3star hotel. Courteous receptionists, personnel. The garden facing room was comfortable, clean, well maintained, quiet, large by London standards. The bedding was comfortable. Bathroom is working well, nicely maintained. Common areas are clean, reasonably well maintained. Location is decent, in an area filled with decent eateries, museums, parks

We always stay here, and welcomed everytime we come back,  staff so welcoming and helpful. Nothing to much trouble for them. Including the maintenance man. Like home to home for us. Bedroom are so good comfy beds,and in breakfast room Sabbir is always there to help.us both.all staff are great. See you soon

It's a basic but clean hotel. Rooms are very small (like uni dorm rooms). Also room sound insulation is poor, you get woken up if you neighbour flushes the loo. It's pretty bland but OK. Breakfast was good.

Stayed for five nights in a single room.  Southampton Row is quite touristy, but the surrounding area is lovely for walking with many nearby parks. I didn't eat at the hotel as there are many  options including a small supermarket within a five minute walk. The room was basic but clean and comfortable and I thought it was great value for the price. I appreciated the small touches of A bottle of sparkling water and cookies in the room. Plenty of outlets in the room and USB ports next to the bed as well as a reading light. The windows open and let in lots of light. Although it was July and no AC, the fan was enough for my preference at night. I only wish there was a mini fridge, but there's not a lot of extra space in the room. I was on the third floor and had to close the windows a few times due to noise from the generator. it wasn't too bad but I could see it being an issue in other rooms. didn't have a ton of interactions with the staff but when I did they were all friendly. I was able to store my bags for a few hours on checkout day at no cost.

Clean comfortable room. Great buffer breakfast with plenty of choice. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Fantastic value for money.

Great fresh chicken salad option, really tasty. Service was fast and welcoming. I recommend blue cheese sauce and slim sauce. Nice atmosphere for a fast food place: american-style diner boots available with phone chargers. Prices more than fair for London.

My youngest really wanted to try their food as we were in Soho last weekend. To be honest, I really enjoyed their chicken salad. A lot on the basket and fresh and tasty. For sure will return!

Hot wings have a good kick to them, takes a while for food to arrive (15 mins for me, it wasn't that busy) but it's cooked fresh so all good. Only one flat wing out of six though and meat didn't pull from the bone, made eating difficult. All round - it's alright.

Our initial plan got changed due to longer then expected queue at Swiss Butter, sp we looked for nearby alternative Halal option. Found Slims Chicken not far from our location. Loved the food. The service and overall vibe. Will definitely recommend especially to those who look for better quality Halal fast food. Must try.

I came here for the Palestinian support ofc, but it turns out that's not the only perk of the place. The staff is all Palestinian, and so the owner and the food. I had a Kafta Meshwi, which came with 3 lamb skewers, for just £17. I think it's great value for money. And the quality was really good. It's not the typical London restaurant, bringing you food after 2 minutes. Here you have to wait, as they prepare everything from scratch, even the drinks or the sauces. Talking about drinks, I had a nice Jellab, which reminded me a bit of a rose lemonade. Definitely a great place to go if you're in Holborn and hungry. You'll make your stomach feel good, and so your heart.

Ordered catering for a work event - so generously portioned and good value for money. Beautifully presented and very friendly staff. Catered to all dietary preferences and Sayeda was flexible to my requests and last min changes. Would highly recommend!

TLDR - came at 5, ordered food at 5:45/6 food came at 7 with many missing items, missing drinks, warm/cold food. Cancelled a few items as everyone was overwhelmed. Overcharged us with a few drinks but also over made a wrap 3 times so just gave to us. Don’t go as a big group and on a Saturday.

Wanted to go here to support a Palestine restaurant so went as a group on 9 on a Saturday. We understand that it is busy and a group of 9 is pretty big so we were very understanding but I’m sorry we had a terrible experience.

We came around 5 (we booked in for 5) and got sat downstairs as we were a bigger group and it was almost like they forgot about us. We sat for almost an hour until we were able to order anything. No one came to check on us and we had to keep going upstairs to get their attention.

Finally near to 6 we got to order. Ordered the food and drinks. I had 2 friends that came later on and ordered upstairs, their food platter came before everyone else did. It took an hour to finally get everyone’s food but still there were missing items and missing drinks. Most of the food was warm/cold by the time it got to us. Some food we even ended up cancelling because we were already there for almost 3 hours we were just getting overstimulated. We were all so hungry so we just ate, we were also told someone would come down with the bill but no one did.

They did end up giving us randomly 2 chicken wraps because I think there was no communication between anyone. (They didn’t charge us for this).

We then just decided after 20 mins to go upstairs to pay. They tried to charge us for extra drinks we didn’t order as two of us ordered the platter for 2 and it came with drinks but they added it as a separate item.

I also don’t want to make it about anything but the service but there was a small family of 5 who got sat down and left within an hour and a half while we were still waiting for our food. There was also a bigger group of people who got sat down and within 10 minutes got theirs order taken and within 20/30 minute majority of their food came out. There was a clear distinction between them and us with languages…. Take that as you will.

I’m sorry but I really wanted to enjoy my experience here but it just ended up being an overstimulating, cold and stressful evening. It was meant to be for my birthday but I’m just extremely upset. Like I mentioned we all tried to be understanding, the food would have been good if it was hot or warm but it was warm closer to cold. They meat was kind of dry, the chips and rice was unseasoned. Hummus was amazing, salad was great and fresh but overall experience 2/5 sorry.

I came here for dinner, I had excellent Palestinian/Lebanese food, good and cheap! A special mention for the dessert, the knafeh! Delicious, I could have eaten 10 more! The staff is super welcoming and ready to exchange a few cheerful and welcoming words! Highly recommended!

Amazing food! Portions are generous and everything tastes so delicious! I had a mix plate of cold and hot mezze…. The lamb was incredible! The service is friendly and polite! Very nice and calm atmosphere!

The atmosphere was great and the anime designs and little details were amazing. The staff were really welcoming. Shout out to Steven for the amazing service. So attentive and friendly, and also brought so many laughs to our table.

The food was good but there were some things that could’ve been better. The Karaage wasn’t very crispy or battered, it was more like cooked chicken chunks. The cocktails were wonderful, although the mocktail tasted more like a healthy smoothie. Overall a really good experience and I will definitely go back.

I would also recommend this place to anyone especially an anime fan!

I recently visited this charming anime themed restaurant, and it was such a fun and memorable experience. The atmosphere was creative, with decor that made the whole place feel lively and unique.

The food was absolutely amazing beautifully presented, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Every dish we tried exceeded expectations. A special shoutout to Tyler, who took great care of us throughout the meal. He was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

The service at Uzumaki was absolutely wonderful! All of the servers were nice and accommodating, and the general interior is beautifully done too. I ordered their chicken katsu, which was hearty, and a perfect portion too, as well as their mango chakra burst beverage, which was sweet in flavour. For dessert, I had the pleasure of trying their dango, which came paired with a tasty sauce!

Fantastic experience!
We visited Uzumaki after a trip to the British Museum, which is only a five-minute walk away. The service was excellent – friendly, attentive, and exactly what you hope for.
The ramen selection is great, and each table offers different oils and spices so you can customise your ramen to your own taste. The ramen itself was outstanding – full of flavour and genuinely reminiscent of Japan.
The manga-style interior creates a unique and fun atmosphere. As it was Christmas time, we even received small porcelain cats as chopstick holders – a lovely and thoughtful gesture, especially for the kids (we got four in total!).
We loved it, and the kids loved it too. Highly recommended – thank you!

My inner weeb loved this super nice place the vibes are really good. Staff are really friendly and nice. Would recommend the Naruto ramen and the 7th wonder ramen super filling but definitely worth it. Also got the uzumaki chocolate cake wasn’t a huge fan of it but I think it just wasn’t what I was expecting. Itachi dango was super yummy. 10/10 place will definitely be back 🫶

It was an amazing burger!! We saw the restaurant as we walked by and decided to turn around and have a burger. And wow what a burger. My daughter demolished her burger quicker than me, that's a sign of a decent burger. The taste is very fresh!! Perfect amount of Sauces and other ingredients in the burger. The rosemary salted fries are so different but it works fantastic. Next time in London we will return! I hate to say this but my only moan is £3.20 for a can of diet/ zero Coke. And the BBQ sauce with the tenders is more of a spicy sauce than a BBQ also the tenders are southern fried so slightly spicy too. Other than that it was a perfect visit with friendly welcoming staff, fantastic team! Well done guys

The single smash burger here hits all the right notes. The patty comes seared very nicely, with that satisfying edge of caramelised beef flavour and just enough bite. Paired with their rosemary fries (very fragrant) - it’s a good combo. Only negative is that I asked for hot sauce and they said that costs £1.50. Ketchup and mayo are free but they want to make more money on a small bit of hot sauce is kind of silly.

The BEST meal after a long travel day - it was heavenly to have a decent burger again! I went for a single smash burger and it did not disappoint. Delicious flavours and it was hard to believe the bun was gluten free! The chips were perfectly seasoned and crispy. 10/10, wish I could go back!

I love this Honest burgers location! The burgers and chips are delicious and the staff is very friendly and welcoming. Usually there is no wait to be seated and the food comes out pretty quick too. I got the double smashed and loved it! Their lemonade and rosemary chips are lovely too. They have a rotating burger special and also offer student discount with StudentBeans app.

I wouldn't go anywhere else in London for a burger other than Honest. They check all the boxes. Along with a delicious burger, even the sides live upto the standard. Also, the coleslaw portion is huge, so I would recommend sharing it between 2 people.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

Used to be super great! Despite the hefty price of £10.50, I was very happy with the portion size, food quality and taste.

However, recently I have noticed that the portion size has become very small. I got only 3 pieces of mango in my house salmon today and not a lot of other ingredients generally.

Was very happy otherwise 5/5 but now that the portion size is lower (specially on my purchase today 14/07), team and I will be considering lunching elsewhere.

Good value for money, the poke bowls are pretty big and you get a lot of seasonings, I bought the spicy salmon bowl and it was delicious, lots of salmon!
Think it's better value than some of the big sushi chains, would recommend for a lunch and even takeaway dinner!

Love it here! I go here nearly everyday and have not gotten sick of the food - been going for nearly 2 years straight!!

Unfortunately they had ran out of the spicy tobiko poke bowl I initially wanted. The salmon poke bowl I got was still tasty. The portion was slightly on the smaller side.

The beef gyudon we have in stock at our red lion branch is not halal. But the chicken in all our stores is Halal.

I love the food in London, and this was maybe one of my best meals ever!  Didn’t do any research, but I spent the day working at the nearby law school and only had a quick lunch break.  This was nearby, and looked cute from the outside and it was even cuter on the inside!  The lunch specials were generous portions and the pasta was amazing! So authentic, I could really go for their pesto right now!!

The highlight of the meal was definitely the lard on toast, its almost like prosciutto but so luxurious and fatty and just melts in your mouth without being sickly, paired with honey and some nuts it’s just a wonderful starter. The steak however was slightly disappointing, the cooking of the steak seems over around the outside and under in the inside but regardless it was generally tender. But the flavour is a bit bland and I didn’t like the excess olive oil drizzled over it. The Mac and cheese was also great. I’d say it’s a bit on the pricey side for the quality of the steak.

Good environment and simple yet unique style. Food was good, really liked the enthusiasm of the waiter who served us. We were also brought a small starter (bread and cured meat slices) free of charge, really appreciated it. Would definitely go there again

I had an amazing dinner! Italian platter of mixed salumi and ham with home made bread. Ravioli filled with mince meat and as I like spicy requested the chef to add some chili to my plate. To end I had a beef tenderloin. Everything was delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

First 100% recommendation.

Tried it on a business trip. I was positive surprised by the quality of the food. The beef tongue was very tender and prepared very delicious. The pizza didn't stand behind the started in any regard. Very tasty - keep up the quality.

Stuff was extremely friendly but also kind of unorganized and a sometimes not focused. The restaurant was not crowded when I was there but the waiter had to confirm my order 2 min after taking it. They didn't know when I was ordering that the wine I selected was out of stock. Tiny things but still not too much to expect from a service with such excellent food.

We orderd the garlic and soy half chicken which comes in 9 peices.  I didn't find the chicken very flavoursome, I couldn't taste the garlic or soy. The chicken was crispy, but not that juicy or tender. .

We also got some a seafood pan cake and a Tteokboki, which were really different but really good. Definitely better than that chicken. .

I wouldn't really come back, as there was a smell of pork being cooked as this is a Korean BBQ. The fried chicken is cooked separately from the BBQ pork. You can check their instagram page for a picture of the halal chicken box/supplier. .

It was good for a quick snack while I was waiting for my friend near UCL. However, it tasted a bit too sweet compared to Korean-style chicken in Seoul.

Great spot for students, they do a discount everyday, and a lot of seats.

I got 6 wings for 6.5£, mixed hot and soy garlic— wings were really tasty and a really good balance between the flavours, though they were on the smaller side.

I have to mention that the order took 15+ mins to come out but understandably as they are short staffed and managing deliveroo.

Really great service the guy gave me 3 wings free because they initially forgot my hot wings.

Overall, it’s real close to me so will be coming back!

This is easily the best chicken I’ve had in London. People always say Britain has bad food, well this place is the exception. Order the Katsu Curry you will not be disappointed. The chicken is served fresh (not frozen)! Bruh change your life. Upgrade your pallet.

The food was okay but there are definitely better chicken shops in London with MUCH better service. The person who was serving us was super rude and irritated. He was okay while serving me but when he was serving my girl friend (she was thinking for a bit longer because it was her first time) he kept rushing her in a rude manner, then when she finally picked, he kept repeating "you're done? you're done?!" then when she wanted to add prawns he put them in the computer and when she continued looking at the menu to choose a drink he removed the prawns from the order and said " i guess you're not getting prawns"- again in an even more aggresive manner, as we are two young girls we got scared and we just agreed, so she ended up with just three pieces of chicken, no drink. If i hadn't payed already,  we would have definitely left because his behavior was absolutely unacceptable ! We were excited to try the food but after this horrible experience our appetites were completely gone. Sad to see that this company which advertises itself as SO friendly and nice to everyone, hires someone who TOTALLY lacks decency and empathy!  The worst way to spend money and time. This is not the first time someone complained about the service, so please do something about it because youre constantly loosing customers due to a guy who hates his job. Disappointing. Will definitely tell everyone I know not. to. come.

Sedap yeee! Very delish, and Imma sayyy it, its better than Wingstop in UK. More crispy, and juicy chicken meat. They really served hot, and freshly off the grill so yeappp I am really digging it and would suggest everyone to go here.

We also had their popping boba drink but mehhh, its TOO SWEET

Korean fried chicken, everything on the menu is Halal. Alcohol is served.

Inventive approach to Indian cuisine with a cosmopolitan twist

Very impressed with the food. The popadoms were fresh and crispy, the chutneys that came with it were absolutely delicious. Then we tried the mall road dahi sev puri which were full of flavour. The kandhari panner tikka was also decent. For mains we had the butter chicken and the daal makhni. This butter chicken was very high quality compared to other indian places I've visited. The breads were perfect, the garlic naan had the right amount of seasoning and the malabar parantha was crispy on the outside and soft underneath. For dessert I recommend the dark chocolate silk cake, presented very well and hit the spot! The service was excellent. Loved the traditional decor, the chandeliers, countless paintings and statues gave off an authentic Indian vibe

Absolutely amazing tasting menu. It likely changes throughout the year but attached a picture of the menu and we got to try nearly everything on it. Can't recommend it enough for a tour of Indian cuisine. The alcohol pairings are also fantastic and a decent deal!

We visited Colonel Saab for hi-tea to celebrate our anniversary, and the experience was truly memorable. I had emailed them in advance mentioning the occasion, and they went above and beyond by arranging a beautifully presented pastry with a “Happy Anniversary” topper. The staff were also kind and courteous enough to offer to click our pictures, which made the celebration feel even more special and personal.

The service was outclass — warm, attentive, and genuinely caring throughout. The food was delicious, elegantly presented, and made the hi-tea experience feel indulgent and special.

Had lunch at Colonel Saab in High Holborn today and honestly it wasn’t planned at all. I was in the area, starving, and the place looked kinda fancy from the outside but I just walked in anyway because hunger does not care about vibes. The inside is actually pretty cool — loads of decorations everywhere, almost like someone collected half their life’s memories and hung them on the walls. Took me a minute to figure out where to sit because I was just staring around like a tourist.

I ordered something simple because I didn’t feel like pretending I know every Indian dish on the menu. Whatever I ended up with came out smelling ridiculous in the best way. The spices hit instantly, but like… in a good warm way, not that “I’m about to cry” way. Everything tasted proper fresh, and the chicken was actually soft instead of the dry stuff you sometimes get at busy places. Even the rice was on point, not mushy or clumpy.

Portion was decent too — not tiny “posh” portions, but not so much that you feel like rolling out the door. Staff were chill, friendly without being overly polite, which I like. Overall, it was one of those lunches where you leave thinking, “yeah… that was definitely worth it.” I’d go back for sure.

We don’t endorse pork and any other meat other than Halal. We have chicken, sea food, duck, beef on our menu. All Halal.

Eat Tokyo, this branch in particular, has been a favourite for years and would usually be a 5* for me. The food is always delicious, the portions on the larger side and the prices reasonable. The fish and sushi especially have never failed to be great.

However, my guest and I were both rather disappointed by the service on our last visit (4th of November). We arrived before restaurant opened and queued so we were some of the first people to get in at opening.

I understand the place gets busy but we felt rushed: our waitress asked us not once or twice but thrice if we were ready to order, whilst we were still very clearly reading the menus on the table. There’s so many options it takes a while and it was getting annoying to be pestered.

The dishes all came quickly and I cannot fault the food (though a few options were not stocked that day) but we felt watched like a hawk!

Barely had time to finish eating and decline desserts and we were promptly presented with the bill.

As it happens, this was a birthday meal for me which has been a little tradition for a while and I’ve never felt rushed like this before. For context, I ordered 5 dishes of different sizes plus a drink and my friend also got several starters plus a main meal and drink so it’s not as though we were were hogging the table with barely any food.

As we left, we expected to see a large line outside that might explain why we were being so rushed, but there was no one!

Overall, we enjoyed the food but the service certainly dampened our experience.

Overall, it was a rather disappointing experience. The restaurant itself has an unusual layout, spread across several very small floors. The uppermost and largest floor, which lacks windows, felt somewhat enclosed and overcrowded.

The menu was quite confusing perhaps typical of authentic Japanese establishments, but it made choosing dishes more difficult than expected. The food was acceptable, though not exceptional; I’ve had more enjoyable Japanese meals at smaller, non-London venues.

Service was also underwhelming. While staff were not overtly rude, they were somewhat abrupt. One of our main dishes arrived nearly an hour after the rest, and the initial response from staff was unhelpful they declined to cancel the dish despite everyone else having finished eating.

Vegetarian options were notably limited. Moreover, several dishes marked as vegetarian actually contained fish, so those with dietary restrictions should take care.

In summary, it isn’t a terrible restaurant, but it fell short of expectations, and I wouldn’t be eager to return.

Solid choice for authentic Japanese food at good value. The serving sizes are generous, the ingredients fresh, and the menu offers plenty of variety. Service is efficient yet welcoming - you’re well looked after without any fuss. Great spot for a casual, satisfying meal

I had an excellent Chicken Katsu Curry at the Eat Tokyo restaurant (Holborn). The main dish was about £9 and the can of soda a few pounds. The size and quality of the meal was good value for central London prices.

I visited on a Friday at lunchtime, so it was busy and I had to wait only a couple of minutes for a table to become available.

The staff were friendly and once my order was taken, I only had a short wait for the meal to arrive.

I opted for the regular size Chicken Katsu curry (there is also an option for large). The regular sized meal was definitely filling and I was glad I did not order the larger version. The food was tasty, with the chicken nicely crispy coated, the curry a medium spice level and the carrots & potato well cooked.

The menu is quite large, and looking around the restaurant the Bento boxes also appeared to be very popular.

I would recommend this restaurant.

I’ve been here many times and have never been disappointed. The place itself isn’t fancy, but the food more than makes up for it. Every dish I’ve tried has been excellent, and you can really tell the people here care about what they’re doing. This spot truly deserves five stars.

Our chicken is Halal and we do not use alcohol in the preparation of our sushi rice.

It's a clean and cute restaurant run by a family. I like the carrot salad which is quite salty and flavored. The lamb rice is good, not too oily, and it has raisins and carrots inside which makes it very healthy. The diced noodles is amazing, the bell peppers are tasty in this dish, and the noodles are very soft. The lamb skewers are a bit chewy but the spice is perfect. The milk tea is not too salty. If you eat rice pudding first, then have the milk tea, it tastes even better. I recommend this restaurant and I would like to come back here in the future.

Went to this Uyghur place by the British Museum today, really happy with the meal.
I had the samsa (baked buns) and the polu (rice with lamb). The samsa had a nice crispy outside and juicy, well-spiced lamb inside. The polu was hearty – tender lamb with sweet carrots and raisins mixed into the rice. Simple, tasty, and filling.
The owner was friendly, and at the end, offered me a small dessert on the house. It was a light, yoghurt-based pudding, a really nice way to finish.
It’s a solid, genuine place with good food and kind service. If you’re in the area and want something different, I’d definitely recommend it. Will probably go back to try their laghman.

Meal was fantastic and prices were not too shabby. A student discount was greatly appreciated, but wasn’t necessary as the meal deserved its normal price. It was absolutely superb and for my first ever Uyghur meal, it was a perfect way to try it!

Bottom Line: Great food and atmosphere, and staff were amazing!

I had a beef tongue salad and Uyghur rice pudding. Both tasted wonderful!

The Uyghur beef tongue salad does come with quite a strong balsamic vinegar taste so if that’s not your thing, perhaps ask if the dressing can be slightly reduced.

The rice pudding is so unique! Very cinnamony and thick, silky and creamy. Will be coming here again!

Also - the drinks are cheap (I got Ayran for £2.50) and the service is great. My waiter was very friendly and helpful ☺️.

Out of the way place but worth it!.
We had the lamb soup - oh my what a treat! I'd got there just for that.
Mains were lamb flat bread - it was nice but could do with more spice. The dumplings were amazing with the chilli oil.
We had warm milky tea to finish. We were also given a complimentary rice pudding - I don't normally like it - but wow what a treat!!. Definitely will go again & try more of the menu. 👌

Had the stack of 5 Butterscotch pancakes, Pistachio and strawberry/blueberry. Pancakes were soft and cooked well, filled with flavour and very filling. The atmosphere in the shop was also cosy. I would visit again :) staff were also helpful when one of us ordered the crepe instead of the stack of pancakes by accident

Our group of 11 had dinner at My Old Dutch.  They were ready for us, and had us served impressively fast.  There were options for the gluten free, dairy free, and vegan members of our group, which was amazing.  Everything was delicious.  Would definitely return!

Omg I can’t even explain how much this place is amazing! The pancakes were the best I ever had (really). I got one with chocolate chips, maple syrup and chocolate. I’m so sad this is my last day in London and don’t have more time to try other ones, but for sure when I come back to London it will be the first place I’ll go. If you love pancakes, like I do, don’t even think about going to other places, just come here and you will love it, I promise! The waiters were so nice and the restaurante is really cute. I came at 16:00 and it was really quiet

Ordered a custom bowl with rice, chicken, salad and various toppings and sauces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, guiding me through the order process. Ingredients were good quality and tasty and the meal felt filling. Cost: £11.95. Intending to visit again to treat myself to a healthy lunch!

Cute place with healthy food. Really good for vegans. You assemble your own salad which is always nice.

I took a half-day off today, and on my way home, I stopped by to pick up my favorite salad bowl, which I had ordered online. I got a message saying my order was ready, so I walked into the store—only to find two staff members chatting inside the kitchen, completely ignoring me. Was saying hello really that hard?

One of them barely acknowledged me with a glance, as if to say, Oh, you’re here?—but didn’t bother asking me anything. So I told them I was here to pick up my order. No response. Instead, she just jutted her chin in a vague direction, basically telling me to check over there. I mean… does she not know how to speak?

I simply asked if I could just take my order. She finally opened her mouth and went, Yeah?—with a tone that said, Why are you even asking? Oh. My. God. That was the first time I actually heard her voice 🤩

Truly an amazing experience

A bit of a queue but well worth it for excellent food and ingredients you would be unlikely to think of making at home. The servers are friendly and helpful. Lots of repeat customers. Both excellent vegan, vegetarian and full on meaty options. Nice range of soft drinks.

Stopped by Tortilla at Russell Square for a quick bite. The staff were friendly, though a bit confused at times—I was asked if I wanted “cheese or cheese sauce,” and when I said “cheese,” they still double-checked as if I meant sauce. Not a big deal, but a little off.

The food itself was underwhelming. I had a bowl with white rice, pinto beans, beef, and chicken, and everything just felt a bit bland. The meats were just warm because they’d been sitting in bins—nothing is freshly cooked or particularly flavorful.

I did get the tortilla chips, though, and those were honestly the star of the meal—crispy, fresh, and flavorful. The chips were the one thing I’d happily have again.

There’s street seating and two levels inside, so finding a place to sit wasn’t a problem. But honestly, I wouldn’t go back. With so many great places to eat in London, it’s hard to justify returning somewhere that was just average.

Tortilla in Russell Square is an excellent place to enjoy a delicious and satisfying meal. The food is always fresh, flavourful, and made just the way you like it, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. The restaurant has a friendly and inviting atmosphere that makes every visit enjoyable. A big thank you to Surya, whose kindness and professionalism truly stood out—he made sure everything was perfect and added a personal touch to the experience. It’s a well-deserved five-star spot in the heart of London.

Wow! Friendly efficient and kind, got my order perfectly right and I know it isn’t easy with a vegan bugger like me. Middle of lunch rush and they still took care of me, food was delicious and fresh to boot! Will definitely be visiting in the future when I’m in town. Thankfully there’s one by me in Canterbury so I’ll give them a try soon!

The pistachio tiramisu was absolutely incredible! The cream was silky smooth, the coffee flavor perfectly balanced, and the pistachio added such a rich, delicious touch. You can really tell it’s freshly made. We also booked a tourist bus tour here — the owner, Çağdaş, was super kind and helpful, explaining everything in detail. Walkmısu is definitely a must-visit spot for both great desserts and amazing service! ☕🍰💚

Best homemade tiramisu and coffee in the area. Small place, big flavour. Everything feels freshly made and genuine definitely worth stopping by.

What an amazing hidden gem in London! This little red phone box coffee shop completely surprised us with its incredible tiramisu and delicious coffee. Everything tasted so authentic and fresh — truly a piece of Italy in the heart of London!

A special thanks to Çağdaş, who was so kind and friendly. He gave us great tips about the city and even helped us get tickets for their London bus tour, which turned out to be a fantastic experience for the whole family.

This was our second time in London, and we went straight to this restaurant again. We liked almost everything about it, but this time the sauce tasted unusually fishy.

The cocktails were nice. Personally, I think the steak is a much better choice than the burger. Overall, the food was good, but not particularly special. I’m not sure if we would return on a future visit, as I asked about the fishy taste but didn’t receive a clear explanation. That said, the waiting experience does add an extra touch to the overall dining experience.

Not only their steak but their fries also very successful. They got cold while eating but never got soft. They know this job 👍🏻

This steak place was actually really good. Even though we waited almost 1 hour to get in, it was decent for the price. The restaurant is very cramped I feel like everyone is basically sitting on top of each other. I guess it’s to help them with the overflow of customers but I don’t think it works. It’s wayyyy too cramped.

The steak was really nice and not too chewy. I ordered my steak really well done, but it still came in the pink side. It could have been left on the fire for longer but it was alright. The sauce had way more flavour than I thought it would. I read some other reviews talking about how the sauce is very buttery.

I don’t know if they’ve changed the sauce but it definitely wasn’t buttery just full of flavour, however it was a bit salty. The fries were really good, like really good better than normal fries, we really enjoyed them. I did not enjoy the salad as it was doused in vinegar and lemon. It was so overpowering and did not taste good at all. Next time I come I’ll make sure to tell them not to put anything in the salad.

The customer service was amazing, the waiters came up to the table regularly to ask if everything was alright. They were very helpful and patient while we decided what we wanted and asked different questions. The waiters communicate very well so even though different waiters come to your table it feels like they were the one that looked after you all night.

We ordered the desserts that they offer, the chocolate molten dessert and the caramel and vanilla French toast. I personally didn’t enjoy the molten dessert as it was made with dark chocolate and I cannot stand the taste of it. But everyone else enjoyed it. We all collectively did not enjoy the caramel and vanilla French toast as it tasted like soggy bread. It was actually disgusting.

I definitely recommend coming here though, I know I’ll be back soon. Oh also the meal was very filling, you definitely won’t leave the restaurant still hungry. Next time I come I’ll just not get any dessert but the steak and chips were too good.

Believe the hype – Swiss Butter is absolutely worth it! My friend and I had an incredible experience yesterday. Despite the line outside, it moved surprisingly fast, and before we knew it, we were seated and ready to indulge.

Let me tell you, the steak and chips are AMAZING! The steak was cooked to perfection, and that signature Swiss Butter sauce is just divine. Every bite was a burst of flavor, and the chips were the perfect complement. It's clear why this place is so popular – the food is simply outstanding.

The whole experience was fantastic, and we can't wait to come back again. If you're looking for a memorable meal that lives up to its reputation, Swiss Butter is a must-try. Highly recommended!

Very long wait today in the rain 45 min wait at 3:30pm finally seated around 4:15pm but didn’t mind .. Food and drink orders were taken quickly which is great. Rose wine is very nice. Food was great 2/3 of us had filet and one had ribeye next time would definitely not get ribeye as it was very chewy. But apart from that the food is very nice and good flavour in the sauce. However we did not feel full after this meal .. maybe some starters on the menu would be good :) £92.00 for 3 of us, decent for London prices.

Southwest style lives up to the hype! They're clearly rated highly for a reason. The service is wonderful and staff are friendly, giving recommendations and they don't rush you through the process. Really good value for the price as well. Burritos are packed and they're generous on the protein. Also love that they have jarritos! Definitely a new favourite and will be back

Best possible customer experience!

As a tourist, I joined the "Doritos Loaded Week" and brought my own pack of nachos to have it topped for only £5. There were no restrictions or limitations. I could choose absolutely anything I wanted. It wasn’t just cheap leftovers to lure in new customers with cheap base options, only to charge extra for special requests. On top of that, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful in putting everything together. And of course, the food itself was an absolut 5 out of 5 stars!

Great place for quick but quality food fair price and good selection of extras and toppings, beef is nice and slow cooked fall apart kind! Would recommend! Also a comfortable place to dine in. Also Steven who served me is a legend very friendly and credit to the company! Let me have half and Half of ingredients where I know other places can be so strict on not doing that for some strange reason

Amazing food and beverages🥰 Me and my bestfriends we’re traveling from Norway to celebrate a friends birthday, and we just happened to see this place. The food was amazing, the staff so nice and funny and helped celebrate her birthday with lights, birthday songs and cake!

The burritos were massive, spanning my full hand. The taste didn't disappoint. For £12.15, the pulled beef brisket burrito with almost every topping I could put on it was amazing. The only criticism I have is that it felt cold on one side, but was lovely and warm on the majority of the other side.

Would definitely come back here if in the mood for burritos again :)

Indian food. We came by for dinner cos we were staying nearby visiting London. The food is pretty good and service was commendable, though we came a bit early so we're not sure if the single attendant would be overwhelmed with a larger crowd. Authentic but also somewhat a summary of all Indian food, with a combination of North and South dishes - at least to a Southeast Asian's experience with Indian food, this was pretty good for the price.

We like the Sag Paneer.

I planned my team Xmas dinner, with a hope to have a good time with everyone.

There are no staff to take order or serve the food. Drinks order at the beginning did not arrived till starters are finished, then eventually we have to cancel the drink order.

More then 40/45 mins take for main course and meanwhile some of the team member left without food.

Very poor service and experience in middle of central London.

My Christmas Day dining at Salaam Namaste didn’t quite live up to expectations, particularly in light of other positive reviews. Here are some areas where it fell short:

•	The starters included some gristle, which was a bit off-putting. We chose not to try a replacement.
•	The portions were a bit smaller than anticipated for two people, and there was a slight mix-up with the rice, but it wasn’t a major issue.
•	The Christmas pudding and coconut ice cream (which tasted similar to vanilla) were not as impressive as hoped.
•	There were minor service delays, like waiting for plates and spoons for our pudding, but these were resolved fairly quickly.

The staff were quite friendly, though the standard 12% service charge seemed a tad high given the overall experience. The non-acceptance of American Express was a minor inconvenience, considering the location.

The experience didn’t quite match the enthusiastic reviews I’d read, leaving a bit of a gap between expectation and reality. While not awful, the meal and overall experience, especially considering the £155 cost, didn’t quite capture the festive spirit I had anticipated. It was an alright experience, but not as memorable as I had hoped for a Christmas celebration.

The food was nice, but as an Indian I would say it could have been better, specially with the main course.

I visited with one of my Dutch colleague, who was trying the Indian cuisine for the first time. The starters, Chicken Tikka and Sheekh Kebeb were really nice. But the main course we ordered, although I won’t say it was bad, but it did not meet the expectations for sure. The butter chicken was more like a dessert, being too sweet, although the name says “Motimahal Butter Chicken”, to be honest it was no where close to Motimahal (the restaurant which originally created the dish). Second main course was “Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani”, and I specifically asked the waiter if it is really a “Dum Biryani” as you are stating it is a Hyderabadi Biryani, and he had no clue what a Dum Biryani is.

In short, the names of the dishes on menu, does give some high expectations, but doesn’t match up to it.

Really tasty Indian! Very flavorsome indeed. Will be going back!
