I had a beef tongue salad and Uyghur rice pudding. Both tasted wonderful! The Uyghur beef tongue salad does come with quite a strong balsamic vinegar taste so if that’s not your thing, perhaps ask if the dressing can be slightly reduced. The rice pudding is so unique! Very cinnamony and thick, silky and creamy. Will be coming here again! Also - the drinks are cheap (I got Ayran for £2.50) and the service is great. My waiter was very friendly and helpful ☺️.

I recently visited Turpan Uyghur Restaurant - what a hidden gem! The food is authentic, flavorful, and made with care. Highlights were the Laghmen (hand-pulled noodles perfection), Samsa, and Polu. Cozy, welcoming vibe and genuinely delicious. Highly recommend!

Out of the way place but worth it!. We had the lamb soup - oh my what a treat! I'd got there just for that. Mains were lamb flat bread - it was nice but could do with more spice. The dumplings were amazing with the chilli oil. We had warm milky tea to finish. We were also given a complimentary rice pudding - I don't normally like it - but wow what a treat!!. Definitely will go again & try more of the menu. 👌 Worth the wait for the food as it's hot & fresh. Do go & try it. The young waiter was really knowledgeable & helpful in food choices.

Really enjoyed my visit to Turpan Uyghur Restaurant. The food felt like a mix between Central Asian and a bit of South Asian flavors. The lamb pilaf was amazing, very close to Kabuli Pulao, and the chicken pachaq was delicious too. For starters, I had the Uyghur kawap (lamb seekh), samsa (crispy beef pie), and a fresh Uyghur salad – all really good. They even served a complimentary rice pudding at the end, which was a nice, sweet touch. Would definitely come back!
