The spot is not massive but very lovely and cosy in a way. Most importantly that food was great! We came here following the reviews and never regretted. Delicious, nice service, quick delivery of food, comfortable environment (a bit on a smaller size though, no big groups I’d suggest).
My teens are fan of sushi, hence I was meticulous with the choice. They loved it, means it was worth it. Decent prices for London. Will add the photos for you to decide. We enjoyed it! Well done to the place and the people here! Keep it up!

Not my first visit here, and still a great place for food. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, their positive spirit is sensed as you walk through the door.
Food tastes amazing and fresh, they offer a variety of sushi rolls, I recommend the crunch and the kaburi menu.
The bao buns are also mouthwatering and a must try.
Prices are reasonable especially compared to quality, taste and the lovely service

We ordered the octopus balls to start, they were okay, nothing special. The premium platter was fantastic, took a little bit of waiting but it was definitely worth the wait!!! Didn’t finish it all but we were starving when we arrived so could definitely share between three people. Our favourite was definitely the crunch sushi but overall a really good variety. The location of the toilet was a bit strange, you have to walk through the middle of the kitchen to get to it. Blue light discount was much appreciated! Definitely recommend, we will be back!

I recently visited Sushi & Co, and I had a really nice experience. We ordered sushi and noodles, and both tasted good. The flavours were enjoyable, and everything felt fresh and well-prepared.

Overall, it was a pleasant visit, and I would definitely like to try it again when I’m there next time.

Troia is a wonderful place to enjoy delicious food in a comfortable and welcoming environment. I was really impressed by the quality and taste of their food. The burgers were absolutely yummy and full of flavor, cooked perfectly and served fresh. Every bite was enjoyable, and you can tell they use good quality ingredients.

One thing I really appreciated is that they serve halal food, which makes it a great option for people looking for halal dining without compromising on taste. The menu has good variety, and everything we tried was satisfying and well prepared.

The staff was friendly and polite, and the service was quick, which made the overall experience even better. The restaurant itself was clean and well maintained, creating a nice place to sit and enjoy a meal with friends or family.

Absolutely loved my experience at Troia Southbank. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced classic Turkish Mediterranean dishes done right. I was trying their chicken shish, which was undoubtedly delicious. Cozy atmosphere, generous portions, and genuinely warm service made it even better. A perfect spot in central London for a relaxed meal with real soul. Highly recommend.👌

It’s an omni Mediterranean restaurant with lovely vegan options.
As it’s literally outside one of the hospitals I look after (St. Thomas’) 🏥 I’ve come here many times before in the past.
Usually just for a beer or two 🍺 if I finish late (always pint of Cobra btw, which is vegan) but I had also had their hummus and falafel, which are actually delicious! 🧆
Today though I was having a working lunch with a colleague and I forced myself to feel hungry, cause I really wanted to try one of their new vegan chicken dishes! 😝
Well, good choice! Cause it was delicious!!!! 😋🔝😋

Shawarma Bros

Ordered their chicken wrap at winter wonderland on the 27th of December for £13 and it was absolutely disappointing and an oil-disaster. The wrap was super slim for the price and the amount of oil dripping from the wrap was shocking, and there was no easy way to eat it without making a huge mess. The taste didn't compensate for this oily experience either. I do not recommend and would advice you see a GP after eating it.

Food was pretty good.  A bit light on the meat.  I liked the crunch from the veggies.  The large size shawarma was big enough for two people.  Food was hot and fresh.

Really yum. I've walked past so often but never been in the need for food. But today I was in the mood for a meaty wrap and it was great. The team was lovely, and the food was tasty, hot, and fast. Will def be back.

I came here for lamb shawarma, but unfortunately, they weren’t serving it that day even though it’s listed on the menu. Ended up ordering the chicken instead, but it was disappointing — very oily and overly spicy. On the plus side, the cabbage inside added a nice crunch and flavor. Also worth noting: they don’t sell beef shawarma at all, which was a letdown.

For years I have been trying to get my parents to try shawarma, and I finally got this to take the leap of faith in London of all places. Lucky for us, right next to Waterloo station, there is a very noticing Shawarma stand.

The stand is very small, but it is very clean. When you walk up to the window you can see the fresh ingredients and meats (lamb and chicken) that they carve up for your shawarmas. There are several shawarma menu items, and a handful of sides.

The attendants were helpful and friendly, but it was difficult to hear what they were saying (spoke softly).

I love shawarma and I've had so many different kinds and some in the Middle East. This one is very tasty and hearty. While it was nice that the shawarma was loaded with veggies, meats, and other components, I would have liked more of the sauce(s).

This is an easy meal to bring back to your place or to take with you on the go. Check out this stand when you get a chance!

Some tips:

Ask for the salt and vinegar for your fries. Also, if you don't love much spicy heat you can ask them for less of the chili sauce. There is no seating in the immediate area, but if you walk a few blocks you can enjoy your shawarma while sitting on a bench along the Thames.

Tas The Cut

I've been to Tas a few times, most recently for a casual dinner with friends. It's a straightforward restaurant serving fresh, simple food—nothing fancy or experimental. The service was adequate. It's a reliable spot if you're in the area and looking for a simple meal.

One of the worst meals I've ever had. Drinks came after the starters arrived.Houmous was bland and had a weird texture, bread was dry,lamb and chicken shish were dry,sea bass was overcooked,potatoes had a horrible taste and no seasoning and I don't know what to say about the veg..no taste at all.Didn't realise  the mains didn't come with rice or salad because we weren't told and in our experience
living in an area with a huge Turkish community, their hospitality and sides are second to none.Desserts were tasteless and chewy. Prices were to be expected for what I'd now call a tourist trap. Plus we were placed by the stairs and there was the most foul smell coming from what I guess were the drains. Such a shame as we love Turkish food.

Delicious and comforting food that satisfies your tummy and taste buds. The hospitality is amazing, the warm staff gave excellent service. The ambience transports you to Turkiye. Wish i could give 7 out of 5 stars because it was that good!

Nice restaurant with a large variety. Food was very tasty and the staff all professional and polite. A bit more expensive than other Turkish places but cannot complain about the quality.

I visited this restaurant last week as it was my friend’s birthday. We had calamari which was delicious the fatter squid rings and light batter the best type. My mate said he has not had this kind of momma cooking in a long time a he’s right the food was banging. Would go there again.

A quick lunch where the service was quick. Not busy when we arrived. Mocktails were good. Vegetarian options not so good at this branch. Potatoes with cheese dip was  heavy as a starter - so much so that we had to change our order. Fajitas were as good as always as was side salad but the star of the show were the Churros - Light batter and piping hot. A thing of beauty. Bill included service charge which we detest but paid.

I went there for my Christmas dinner with my colleagues and it was a very pleasant experience! The food was amazing 😍 I ate the chicken fajitas with the beetroot starter and everything was delicious and the portions were good! The atmosphere is nice, and good to go with friends or family! Carmen and Mauro were our waiters, they were super nice and helpful! I highly recommend it 🤩

Went there with my friends for a Christmas dinner and we had a great time.

They have a really good offer for the Christmas menu (pic below). 2 items for £20 or 3 for £35. Compared to other places this is a cheap menu.
You can also get 2 cocktails for £15.

I recommend doing a booking in advance especially in this festive period.

It can be a bit loud when it’s full

Me and the girls came for a bottomless brunch on a Saturday evening. The music and vibes were soo fun and warm and the service was amazing. Ivo was our main server and the drinks were flowingggg, plus the food was delicious, the XimXim curry has some good flavour.

This place is crap and expensive. Came here a few weekends ago and no one in our group of 5 enjoyed their meal (some didn't want to start and suggested we just walk off it was that bad) because the quality was just utter crap. The enchiladas were nuked slop, the burgers were dry and the fries were cold rubber and my salad (see photos) was yellow lettuce, dry chicken and randomly included over powering pickled onions not mentioned on the menu for £17! They also forgot the avocado in the chicken avocado salad. The 241 cocktails had barely any alcohol in them. I also don't know how they would have passed a hygiene inspection. Avoid this place at all cost.

All chicken is Halal. Ask for a Halal menu.

I am vegan and I don't like beyond meat in general, but the whole thing from Honest Burger was incredible! It is a lot of food, so the price is worth! Only the onion rings could be less greasy, but they are for sure deep fried. The fries were delicious! The staff is amazing, the manager Adam is indeed a really nice guy. We went there because my omni friend works for Honest Burger (but not this unit) and we were invited by her, and the staff and the place were really accommodating! A few vegan options, but I hope they have room to improve it 😊 happy with the results!

We went there last week and waited in line for about half an hour, as it was very crowded. We ordered one Honest burger and one smash burger. The Honest burger was tasty, but the smash burger was overcooked and didn’t taste very good. Our little one accidentally broke one of their cups, and the staff didn’t make a fuss at all and kindly brought us a new one.

An honest review for Honest Burgers. I’ve been to several locations from Hammersmith to Chiswick via Notting Hill and always really enjoyed the experiences. Waterloo has let the team down- solely on service on a not particularly busy Saturday night.

We all know hospitality is on its knees and this is the time to step up and look after your guests spending their hard earned in your restaurant. Make people feel welcome, smile, don’t check your mobile phone every five minutes - we see you. Instead check on your customers, make sure their food is all delivered and items aren’t missing and even then still charging for things which didn’t turn up.

Know your products - when asked what type of red wine you serve don’t just say ‘it’s red’! And on that note - the 125ml serving should be an embarrassment at that price point. Your burgers are good but small yet we still give you our custom when we have a lot of choice.

The managers need to manage their staff and double check customers are all happy. It starts at the top. If the managers don’t particularly care why should those serving you?

What a disappointment.

We were absolutely satisfied. Team took great care of us and made sure we felt very comfortable. They ware cheerful, helpful, and the service was super quick. We really enjoyed food, meats ware prepared as we request and onion chutney was really delicious. 👍

Overall the food is good and the atmosphere is young and cool. There's music in the background and the service is always available and friendly.
The hamburger dishes are pretty good and there are some interesting options.
On the down side the hamburgers are not very big and might not be enough if you're a big eater. Furthermore the rosemary salted fries are a nice touch but they were way too salty for my taste.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

Pabellon Venezuelan Food

Had never had Venezuelan food before and was thoroughly impressed. Had the chicken rice box and it was delicious!

We really enjoyed the arepa with brisket for my husband and chicken for me.  Filling and delicious. It was part of an outside market so we were happy the weather was nice.

This Southbank venue is a must visit. The staff is lovely, has excellent recommendations, and lets you sample the fillings if you’re an indecisive doughnut like me.
The texture of these arepas is divine and the fillings are rich and flavourful. The sweet potato tempuras are light, fluffy, and  beautifully crispy. A perfect side for any arepa you’d choose.

There are lots of food kiosks in this courtyard behind the Royal Festival Hall. Still Pabellon gets good reviews and I'd say that they are deserved as you'll pick up a solid meal from this stall.

The sweet potato tempura is perhaps the weakest part as ours were mostly crispy shell but the main meal of beef arepa was pretty spot on and tasty. It's a good spot for lunch here and diners are definitely spoilt for choice!

Could you imagine not listening properly to the customer and the customer being berated for the owner’s lack of listening skills.
Completely got the order wrong and then raised his voice at me because he’s the manager!
Also he owes me money as my receipt indicates- because he gave me the incorrect food!

Absolutely incredible. Yum yum yum. Can’t wait to try more of these dishes. We had chicken nachos, a chicken burrito and beef naked burrito.

You can choose the spice level too. And the staff were really friendly and attentive.

Ate at their truck at the Tower of London. Best chicken tacos we have had in a while. The brown sauce would make a napkin palatable!! Great spot any time of the day while sightseeing!

Today, I had a great quesadilla here at Hola Guacamole in Gabriel's wharf market. I was served by Marcela and her colleague, they're very friendly and I felt welcomed.  The food was delicious and I recommend this place to everyone!

3 tacos for 15 quid, I tried one chicken, one pork one beef,  it if I go back I’d just get 3 beef, the slow cooked beef is incredible! Chopped tomatoes very fresh and great guacamole!

The food was good, I ordered the beef quesadilla, and it was very very tasty. I would definitely go again when I’m back in London.

The service was amazing as the staff were very friendly.

Delicious food served by friendly attentive helpful staff in a splendidly designed railway arch space all for a fair price.
The entrance is through a garden of large potted plants that is ever so welcoming in this central London venue.
Easy walking distance from Thames, tube and Waterloo station.
Recommended.

The restaurant and its food are Excellent . I strongly recommend fine dining or dine there with beautiful outside garden, delicious grill and taste the beer and smoke. The restaurant is consist of 5 different big units and you can see that non stop big gathering, fundraising and charity campaign and events take place. There is unique Anatolian food with Turkish Raki.

5* food at this restaurant featuring re-invented Turkish classics. The aroma of fresh bread is recognizable by walking near the venue, which is hidden behind tall flowerbeds. I loved the Iskender: lamb pieces were juicy and tender, portion is generous but not excessive for one person, limited butter which is good for your health.

Service charge includes complimentary homemade bread and olives. The restaurant has many covers to serve, so be patient about service, although the wait was more than reasonable on Sat lunchtime. Highly recommended for tourists.

Excellent Turkish Mediterranean food under the bridge. Love the place ambience music food and the service.

Bala Baya Restaurant Bankside

Been on several occasions, including once during Covid restrictions. The team are always friendly and helpful, a welcoming environment set over two floors in the arches.

Food is outstanding, big flavour small plates with a changing seasonal menu. A tad pricey, however considering the area it’s somewhat to be expected. Quality and innovation get top marks, as well as a range of tasty cocktails. The cocktails push the overall price up of course but they’re very tempting 😁

We had a great dinning experience at Bala Baya.  The food was delicious with a beautiful presentation.  The service was great and we enjoyed a nice glass of Israeli wine.   For food we had fried cauliflower, roasted cabbage with goat cheese, spiced pumpkin hummus, kabob dumplings.  All of it was so delicious!

We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, we were really looked after. It was a lovely relaxed environment with attentive service. We could have sat there for hours soaking up the atmosphere of the open kitchen. I will absolutely be back.

This restaurant is a real standout. The staff are warm and professional, creating an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and refined. The food is the real highlight - every dish feels carefully thought out, full of unexpected flavors that actually work together. It is the kind of place that surprises you in the best way possible and leaves you wanting to come back soon.

Great food, wonderful atmosphere and brilliant and attentive service! Food is superb and very delicious. I love that the dishes are creative and well presented. Honest Burgers South Bank

Honest Burgers Southbank was a very enjoyable experience that lived up to its reputation. The location is fantastic, especially if you are walking along the river or exploring the Southbank area. The atmosphere is lively and casual, making it a great spot for both tourists and locals.

One thing to be aware of is that there is almost always a queue, especially during peak hours and weekends. At first, this might seem discouraging, but the staff handle it very efficiently. What I really appreciated was that if you prefer to sit outside, you can go in, speak to the staff, and let them know. In many cases, they are able to find you an outdoor table quite quickly, even when there is a long line for indoor seating. This makes the waiting experience much more manageable and is a great option on nice weather days.

As for the food, the burgers are excellent. The meat is juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly, while the rosemary chips are a must-try. Everything tastes fresh and high quality. The service is friendly, relaxed, and helpful despite how busy the place gets.

Overall, Honest Burgers Southbank is definitely worth the wait. Even if there is a queue, knowing that you can ask inside and potentially get a table outside makes the experience much better. I would happily return and recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

The restaurant is close to London Eye. It's simply furnished but the food was really delicious. I chose a Fritter (Veggie Burger) and it's been great. The fries too and the prices are fair. The service is always friendly. You should book a table in advance. I definitely recommend Honest Burgers South Bank!

I made a terrible mistake of booking a table at South Bank instead of Southwark. The restaurant was extremely busy and that had a negative impact on our meal. The service started good with friendly staff, but it quickly deteriorated. I ordered the festive smash burger - two beef patties, Camembert, bacon and cranberry sauce. And of course rosemary chips. My family had the regular smash burger and cheese. We also ordered onion rings.
It took 40 mins for the food to arrive. However the chips had no classic rosemary salt. And my smash burger was burned and dried out. But because our onion rings didn’t arrive, and the waitress didn’t appreciate me telling her this, I didn’t feel comfortable to complain about the burger. Needless to say the onion rings finally arrived but only as a half portion. And when it came to pay, well the bill was completely wrong - something I wasn’t embarrassed to raise to their attention.
I think this will destroy my overall perception of all honest burger joints and I’m unlikely to ever attend one again. I feel they’re going the same route as Byron’s Burgers-to bankruptcy.

We stopped by Honest Burgers South Bank and had an absolutely fantastic experience. From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible — quick, attentive, and very friendly. The staff made us feel welcome and really added to the whole atmosphere of the evening.

We started with a mint lemonade, and it was just great — refreshing, perfectly balanced, and the kind of drink you’d happily order again. Then came the wings, which were crispy, tender, and paired with sauces that took them to another level. Every bite had that perfect balance of flavor and spice.

Of course, the highlight was the burgers. They were cooked very nicely — juicy, flavorful, and exactly how a proper burger should be. The signature potatoes on the side were simply delicious, golden and crispy, the perfect match to the burgers. Altogether, the meal felt spot on: simple dishes, done perfectly.

Overall, Honest Burgers South Bank delivered both on food and on service. It’s rare to find a place where everything comes together so well — the atmosphere, the flavors, and the people. Without a doubt, it’s a spot I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting London.

Paradiso Burger & Cocktail Bar Southbank

We held our office summer party at Pardiso Burger & Cocktail Bar in South Bank, using the terrace and top floor private area, and had the best time! The setting was beautiful, overlooking the Thames, and the atmosphere was perfect for a celebration.

The staff were absolutely fantastic, friendly, attentive, and even went out of their way to take a group photo for us. The food and drinks were amazing, with great rates that made the whole experience even better.

Highly recommend this spot for any group event or casual night out. We’ll definitely be back!

I booked a bottomless brunch for me and 2 friends. I arrived first and felt like I wasn’t welcomed as the person who “greeted” me felt unapproachable and like I wasn’t in the right place. We got our drinks and food order. The food was okay but the burgers felt like a tough steak and was a bit hard to eat. The two of us who had this ended up having to disassemble the burger in order to finish it. The drinks were really nice. However, whilst still eating, we finished our drinks which no one came over to ask if we wanted a refill or even ask how the food was. I had to try (a bit too hard in my opinion) to get another drink. The third time, I had to try even harder to get someone’s attention and had to get up for someone to even notice that we needed service. The fourth and final time, I tried to get the attention of who I believe was the manager (the person who greeted me) but he kept disappearing off elsewhere. I again had to get up to get some service. What is the difference between me having a bottomless brunch or just having a regular meal with drinks not included? It just felt like a waste of time. It was a lot of effort to get the bill as well. If we were not having a bottomless brunch, I feel like we would’ve got better service. It felt very intentionally that no one asked if we wanted a new drink etc. When we finally got the bill, which was just as hard to get as the drinks, I did mention to the same person that I didn’t feel as though we needed to pay the service charge as I felt like we were not taken care of during our hour and a half we were there. He just gave a smile and said it was optional. We did not even get an apology. I was happy to pay for everything but just a bit of acknowledgment to how we were feeling would not have gone a miss. There was a really lovely lady who was very helpful when the umbrella that was up had almost hit us so we wanted to pay the service fee for staff like her who actually cared. I would avoid this place at all costs.

This location seems to have placed "location" over  "quality" in terms of food offerings. Let's start with the basics:
1) All the chicken choices, while coated in a fabulous buttermilk batter, are dark meat. Perhaps this is the preferred cut of the chicken for the ethnic vibe this location is attempting to replicate, one quickly loses the flavour of the batter once eaten.
2) Timing: now this is a bit tricky to explain, but I'll try - the meal choices are what one would expect in a great location such as this...a bit on the high side, but within reason. What surprised me was how quickly the meals arrived at our table after our server took our order. Maybe some like this quick service, however for me, this mirrored closely to getting my order at a fast food location...it didn't match... hopefully, this makes sense 🤔

For all of the offerings available along the South Bank, I'll be taking a pass the next time around.

I went last Saturday with my friends for a birthday bottomless brunch! It was absolutely brilliant. I was nervous because of the location, but the staff were 10/10 and the food was actually so good. I had the chicken pile, and I also tried the fries - all excellent. I can't wait to come back again! xxx
