Have you ever wished there was a halal five guys in London? Look no further as we might have the spot for you. We were invited to @andysburgers_uk to try out their food and as soon as we stepped in we got a five guys vibe- a modern looking burger joint with an almost limitless customisation of your burger.

First and foremost, credit where credit is due, they make everything in house! And this is truly amazing when you see the vast array of toppings options they have- there is something for everyone. The chance of having a great burger is really at your own finger tips as you make it what you want it to be. 
We got the chicken burger with lettuce, truffle mayo, fried mushrooms and cheese, which turned out to be an epic combo! And also got the double beef burger with tobacco onions, fried onions, special sauce and mayo! We weren’t too fond of the beef burger but this may just be a personal preference as we prefer smashed burgers or full on gourmet burgers rather than an in between, definitely felt that the chicken fillet in the chicken burger edged it. We also tried their hand cut fries which were just the perfect compliment with the burgers.

Another unique thing about this place is that they offer some great drink flavours that are exclusive to them. We were lucky enough to try a special mix by the manager there called Nathan, which boasted some exotic flavours 🍍🥭🍓 Overall, definitely a great burger spot where we will be returning for sure; next time to try the cod fish burger 😋! Food: 8/10

Andy’s Burgers- Mile End

Okay so I’m sure a lot of you have seen me post about Andy’s from when they kinda first opened & all that but I haven’t been in a long time, I happened to be in the area for work stuff & thought I’d grab a quick lunch from there.

My toppings were as follows: Cheese (obviously, they make in-house too), jalapeños, piquante peppers, tobacco onions & truffle Mayo.

Side I got the loaded fries which comes with beef bacon which I believe they make in-house as well now, tobacco onions, cheese, jalapeños & chipotle Mayo.

Loaded fries were bloody amazing btw, for me I couldn’t find a fault with it.

Burger wasn’t the same as I remember as the patties were slightly over cooked, but then again it was super busy even at lunch time, but thankfully the toppings I had saved it & that cheese is just ridiculously creamy honestly.

What toppings do you guys normally get from here?

Massive thank you to @andysburgers_uk for gifting me this amazing cod burger meal to try a while ago. I was invited to the kitchen to watch my meal being prepared and was run through how everything is freshly made including the cheese and tartare sauce. Believe you me this was THE best cod burger I’ve ever tried and the dirty fries were also AMAZING!

I’d first visited when @andysburgers_uk started up and found the chicken burger meal impressive but have been taken back by how quickly they have improved the quality of the burgers - they truly are bangin!

Andy's Bangin' Burgers

10/10 service for W. Looked after me and my family very well and gave us amazing banter.

Triple Smash burger was spot on just didn’t love the pickles as they weren’t tangy.

Chips were good. Loaded chips were not as good as they had no beef bacon so was just extremely saucy chips.

Chicken strips are good and fresh but maybe a little kick to the seasoning to elevate it

Sauces were nice too

One of the most delicious burgers you'll find  in London, high quality ingredients and combination of saucy condiments make creations endless, rustic chips give you that good meal feel, owners are great people combined with a professional team, they give you that good customer service. Enjoy that juicy burger, thank me later.

Saw it on Google Maps and we thought we give it a shot.
Totally can recommend the double beef burger with fried onions and the mango drink.
Fries could be a little bit crispier but they were still good.

Title: Disappointing Food, Pleasant Environment

Review:
I recently visited Andy's Bangin Burger and ordered their beef single burger with fries. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with the overall quality of the food. The meat was overcooked. I can’t feel I am having a burger. It’s taste like something else.The fries were burnt and lacked the crispy texture I was expecting. They tasted like they had been sitting around for a while, almost like very old fries.

On the positive side, I must commend the restaurant's environment, which was pleasant and inviting. The staff members were friendly and accommodating, which made the experience more enjoyable.

While I appreciate the positive aspects of my visit, the subpar quality of the food significantly impacted my overall satisfaction. I hope that Andy's Bangin Burger takes this feedback into consideration and works on improving the consistency and taste of their food.

I was probably the very first customer that used to visit it 2 weeks into when they opened up during lockdown. Been going there since then.

Truly bangin burgers

To give an update visited the branch on 28th of November and unfortunately sad to say that quality has nose dived big time. It tastes nothing like what it used to you can see it from the photos. A shame.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

Sakura Hot Food and Buns

Amazing Japanese Dishes, so many choices for both veg and non veg. I've only had the veg dishes and I can say that each one was so tasty and would highly recommend their Bai buns, gayozas, sushi...list is endless. Definitely worth a try if you haven't and looking for quality food. You get free snacks while you wait for your collection. Great customer service...amazing chefs.

I recently tried the Japanese takeaway Sakura and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of their food. The standout dish for me was the lamb buns - they were perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. The katsu was also excellent - the breading was crispy and the meat was tender. Overall, I would highly recommend Sakura for anyone looking for delicious Japanese food to take away.

Best Sushi/Japanese in the area by a million miles and I've tried the main 3 on a number of occasions. This place tastes the best but is also somehow the cheapest. Go figure. On certain days you have to wait an hour to get your food, so I recommend ordering ahead of time on the phone or online. There are queues outside on busy days for a reason. Highly recommended.

Always love this place don't live in the area anymore but still come back! Everyone is super friendly and smiley and welcoming. Beat sushi and best teriyaki!!

Honestly our absolute favourite takeaway! It needs 10 stars. The Chicken Karrage buns are too good. The staff are so lovely and friendly. We are so sad to move away from the area for a while, and will definitely be stopping by whenever we pass south Woodford.

Really tasty and good concept
Had the brisket burger and animal style fries, quite good but had alot of bones and ruined majority of the experience.
Other smash burger was decent

Food took 35minutes to come and there were only two other people eating
Busy with just eat however no acknowledgement for the late service, seating was outside so we were frozen when food came.

Taste factor delivered however mouth feel disappointed.

Saw this place on social media and thought I'll give it a go. Had a craving for a meaty burger.
I got the big smac and my husband got the pastrami.
Both burgers were delicious.
Pastrami one has that salty meaty taste.
We also got fries but I wouldn't bother next time, not worth the price.
Drunks are really expensive too.

Random stop and it was worth it.

Had the Pastrami Burger and Mashed potatoes. It was pretty good. So it's basically beef patty topped with Pastrami. Interesting combo, but works.
It's a collection only restaurant, but it also has a sit out area if you really can't wait to get home lol.

Almost missed my way until we started smelling burgers being cooked, and that helped with directions lol.

So you fancy something different, something special, an explosion of flavours? Bun & Sum is a place tucked away in Bow, in an Industrial Estate. There is outdoor seating for 24 people on four park benchs. This place was BUSY, so leave plenty of time. Walking distance from Bow Underground Station and Bow Church Overground. If you arrive by car, then you can park on the pavements while you enjoy your food.

The food, the drinks, the menu are different. The flavours are incredible. The price is just above what we are all used to, but it is worth it 100%. I went for the Pastrami burger. I saw a famous food reviewer from Birmingham visiting, not to review but simply to eat.

The burger was delicious, soft juicy and tasty.  I was a little disappointed with the drip fries as it didn’t taste any different from all the other places. 30 minute wait for the food as it’s so popular.

If you know Nando's then you know what it's all about, if you don't, then where have you lived? 😐
There are many grilled chicken restaurants nowadays, but nothing will beat Nando's for their grilled chicken, I repeat nothing. I have tried many branches, this is by far one of the best.

Service is always spot on with friendly staff, plenty of parking, restaurant is big, spacious and clean, great decor. It's Halal, and food is served very quickly. Will recommend this branch very highly of you live anywhere in East London. Very easy to get too.

I knew it would be busy but it was worse than I expected. There were children running around, a long wait with QR code to wait and a long queue to order food. Tables were clean but staff didn’t seem like they liked their job. The toilets were rank - out of the 4 toilets, one had sick, one had no tissue and the other didn’t lock. It was not pleasant. The food came relatively quick and tasted fine like usual. Their Nando’s card machine wasn’t working but they did add the stamp on afterwards. There’s a nice enough space between the tables but i don’t think I’d be in a hurry to come back especially during busy times. It’s just not worth it. Customers seem like they never been to Nando’s before..

I just had the pleasure of dining at Nando's Beckton, where I indulged in their scrumptious Chicken Liver, while my lovely wife savored a juicy quarter chicken. I must say, the exceptional customer service provided by Luis truly elevated our experience! Although Nando's consistently delivers mouth-watering meals, it was Luis's remarkable hospitality that made this visit stand out above the rest. A huge thank you to Nando's and, of course, the fantastic Luis!

Food was good as it is nandos and food is always tasty however this is the worst nandos I have been to. Management was shocking ! Tables were not utilised efficiently, people had to wait for time while they had some tables which were for large parties sit 2 or even 1 persons. Took a while to clean tables which caused a hive of flies in the restaurant. The welcoming staff at the entrance was super unfriendly and requires proper customer care training. Majority of the sauce bottles had not been cleaned for time with the metals having green all over as seen in the picture posted. This branch need a massive change !

We went in on a late weekday evening, it was a nice and quiet atmosphere. Our food came quickly too.

We ordered a full chicken platter along with a few sides and a bottomless drink. I have to admit the chicken at Nandos is always cooked to perfection.

The mash was perfect, nice texture and smooth and the rice was as ever tastly like i used to remember it back in 2007!

I did have to go round looking for sauces, despite the restaurant being quiter than usual i think they were winding down and thus the bottles had not been refilled. I did have to go over to another table for the wild herb and to another table for the garlic.

The hot sauces are plentiful they never run low on those, however i do think the wild herb needs to be stocked up even more.

The garlic bread was dead, i need to remember not to order the garlic bread next time.

Otherwise it was a very filling meal, will revisit soon.

We have 385 restaurants, 72 of which serve only Halal chicken and are signposted both in the restaurant and online. A small proportion of chicken sold in our other restaurants may also be Halal.

We stopped by on a whim one Sunday evening and we were NOT disappointed!! We ordered a platter and some extras; it was great. The desserts were amazing and the manager added some great banter to it. Customer service was really good, they were quite busy so we had to get their attention a few times but they were very helpful and polite. They could do a better clean between customers, other than that it’s brilliant. Will definitely be back.

The food was excellent. Slightly pricey but not overly so. Well cooked beautifully presented.
Service was attentive and helpful. We went when it was not too busy so got our food quickly.
The interior is nice.
Would go again.

Came here a couple of times when it was now and I left disappointed. The food didn't meet my expectation and I found it very bland however re-visted again through recommendation and was pleasantly surprised. The food tasted lovely and was full of flavour. The service and staff were very efficient, accommodating and quick. Would definitely be coming again and would recommend the restaurant.

We had a great time at this restaurant. The customer service was great. One of the lovely lady's saw my son was after strawberries and very kindly bought some over without me having to ask!

Went on a busy Friday night but regardless of not having a booking, we were seated quite quickly. So the waiting times isn’t too bad and they’ve got a seating area. The food tastes really, very well cooked however the portion size is for a tiny street cat. We got the mixed platter and were incredibly disappointed at how small everything was, we were left quite hungry. For £25, it’s not worth it. However would like to try full main dishes.

Mum Likes Thai Food (Leytonstone)

We visited this amazing restaurant in Leytonstone. Possibly the best Thai food you can have in whole East London, specially if you are looking for Halal option.
We were served by a lovely lady named Dina, who looked after us very well. She helped us to choose menu and they were delicious.
Nice comfortable setting. Highly recommended.

What a lovely Thai resturant, only been open a month but obviously good because of how busy it was. All our dishes were very tasty and well presented.
We booked at 6pm and there was just a few tables taken but the time we left at 7.30 it was completely full and people outside.
No free parking on the street but 2 hours free parking at Tesco.

new joint on our very own high street. and I couldn’t recommend it more. we went to celebrate our faux anniversary and we were really impressed with the decor and the menu (attached) we spent about £30 a head so not exactly light on the pocket but I can’t say we left disappointed. we will be going back for sure. value for money I would say. plus its halal!

the starters were our favourites. we got quite a few you see (with one main & steamed rice). for starters we ordered prawn crackers, fish cakes, dumplings, squid, and a nice hot soup. our main dish was the classic green curry. can’t go wrong with a classic! it was all delish but my faves were the fish cakes and the soup. I definitely recommend to all. the soup was gorgeous. coconut, chilli and chicken. delightful. I think the fish cakes are a restaurant special and there was just something about them. meaty and full of flavour. they all come with accompanying sauces which are very complementary. finally the main. as I said you can’t go wrong with a classic. it’s one of my fave dishes. chicken wrapped in a lovely coconut sauce.

it was a quiet wednesday night I reckon so the atmosphere wasn’t as lively as I would have liked but this place definitely has the potential. go in and show them some love. they deserve it.

Really lovely restaurant. The staff were very sweet and the food was banging! The sea bass red curry from the chef’s recommended menu was next level. Also have to try the ribs. I’m so happy this has opened round the corner from my house.

Fantastic Thai food. Tasty and authentic. We had Papaya salad with grilled chicken and sticky rice and Kao Soi chicken and both dishes were superb.
Service was also very nice. So pleased this lovely restaurant had opened in the area.
Loved it! Will be back!

Wazir Restaurant

Some of the nicest Turkish food I've had. It wasn't too heavy very light and super flavourful. The pita was hot and crispy, the hummus and yoghurt dip were very refreshing. The mix platter was huge and everything was piping hot and flavourful. The Turkish tea was complimentary and delicious and the chocolate cake was rich and a huge serving it was really difficult to finish for us 2 people after food. The staff were lovely and accommodating they showed us to multiple tables indoor and outdoor to our preference.

It was my first time at this restaurant, the ambience is good and the food choices quite decent. The service is OK, portions are fairly good too. We enjoyed the time while tasting our food. We will be back again.

This place used to be good, really good. However it appears it has gone down drastically. I suspect it has changed hands and the food preparation is done completely differently than how it was done before.

I ordered a Koubideh Kebab (2 skewers of minced lamb). This is usually served with some butter, grilled tomatoes etc as you can see from the photo there is no grilled tomato it is missing and no butter to moisten my rice with.

After the Koubideh skewers were heated i could smell something was different, something was wrong. It smelled almost sour which indicated the meat had gone off. I wasnt sure. Having tasted it, i was even more convinced something was wrong.

The Lahmachun was ok and the wings were fine. Plenty of salad to fill our bellies but i still couldn't get over the dissapointment with my main meal.

Asked for tap water, was told they can only provide bottled water. Even then the bottled water was not of any quality, its the cheapest kind usually given out for free or you can get these for as little as 30p.

Im not impressed, very dissapointed with the quality of food.

We used to visit Wazir Turkish Restaurant frequently and while it used to be really nice, I feel like the quality of their food has declined recently.

The some of the dishes are undoubtedly good, with satisfying portion sizes. The Adana kebab and mix grill platter stood out as flavorful choices. Their starter salad was fresh and sauces were also delicious. My sons particularly enjoyed the shawarma wrap, although it didn't quite capture an authentic Arabic shawarma taste. While the rice flavor wasn't to my liking, the overall experience was decent, even if not mind-blowing.

The food is good.  I tried the beef bowl,  veg gyoza, pancakes and fries.
It was all really nice.  I reckon if I come back and try the chicken wings and burger they'd be really good.
Staff is really friendly.
It's quite chill to eat in, there some seating and a bathroom.
On a busy night things do get sold out, I recommend going early

Very shocked and surprised at the quality and taste of the food here at zaxx. It was absolutely amazing for Korean style food. The portion size and flavourings are all unique and tasty.  Will definitely be ordering here many more times.

Ate in the restaurant and there was a large group being quite loud but not eating any food, and so the atmosphere wasn’t great unfortunately. I felt like I was interfering in a private party by being there.

Food wise everything was good, but I wasn’t sure about the bibimbap (£10.95 for a regular). There was lime juice, a creamy sauce, some raw spinach, crunchy unseasoned radish and beansprouts and a ton of fresh chillis.

I’m used to dolsot bibimbap which is served in the hot stone bowl and has more sesame oil flavours and an egg on top and I think I prefer that version. Although this one gave a lot of prawns, the veggies and rice were too plain and sour for me and it was hard to mix. Plus it got cold pretty quick.

The Kimchi was a huge portion for one person and wasn’t fermented as much as I am used to but was probably a good fresh kimchi for those who like that style.

The fries and fried chicken bites were hot and crispy which was nice and big portions and the sauce on the chicken was good. But not sure if it’s worth the price. I am curious about the “death sauce” and would maybe go back for the chicken bites on their own to try it. The loaded fries and Korean corn dog also looked good.

Just great! Always good! Quick service and food as well as fantastic flavours! The portions are massive! The deals are good! The prices are good! The fried chicken is the best! Always a go to when craving something quick and delicious! You must visit if thinking of having fried chicken in London. Also it can be quite healthy if you pick the grilled chicken. Lovely place with lovely atmosphere and they are always happy to take you in. No need for reservation. A must visit!

Delicious Korean-style fried chicken, took my kids here for the ultimate verdict and they are a big fan. One loves the wings and the other loves the tenders - myself I prefer the tenders, crispier but very moist meat inside.

Came back here this weekend with the kiddos and my nephew as we needed a good chicken place that was Halal friendly and they all thoroughly enjoyed it!

We got the big sharing platter with 4 wings, 4 tenders and 4 thighs. We also ordered a large portion of chips and some extra wings and tenders. Was a great meal and we were stuffed! We didn’t have to wait too long either for our big order.

A different take on fried chicken and Korean style! I like this place! Food is fresh and some great sauces! The fried chicken is tender and crispy! A really good range of combos available for everybody! Service is ok, once we waited at the front to get a seat, and this time we just walked in and grabbed a table! The self-service screen is very simple and easy to use. Very efficient! Food arrives in good time after your number is called! Oh and yes, the Lotus Biscoff is too good! Literally unbelievable!!!! Worth the visit every time!!!!

The burger is crispy and full of flavour , had the loaded fries too. very good portion size and very very filling. Would highly recommend the mocktails tooooo, we loved it so much we got seconds 😍❤️‍🔥

Wow. Just wow. Love it! My choice was itsu but I saw “Korean street food” and Korean is one of my top three cuisines. The staff were great from the start with a lovely welcome, directions to the self ordering machine and to available seating. The food was amazing - much larger than expected - and I definitely got my moneys worth here!
I got a (very large) Seoul bowl with grilled chicken, a side of small (but still big) Kimchi Mac n Cheese and a lotus milkshake and paid 20. Loved it from top to bottom, start to finish!!

All our chicken is Halal the only non halal item is our chicken dumpling. We are very transparent and have gone to great lengths to make our product fully inclusive.

Taco Taco

Went for the Prime Beef Corn (gluten free) Taco which was fresh and delicious. The fillings were amazing and the ambience in the place was cool. I’m Gluten free and they had so many options for me on their menu. 100% recommend.

Had the salmon and prawn tacos. Super tasty. With the side of crispy corn. Properly one of the best tacos I’ve had! Definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Seriously delicious, fresh, fast, friendly and Knowledgeable staff happy to recommend but not pushy at all. Clean and fun!

This is a new Taco restaurant in the heart of East London. Premises opened on 15/09/2023. My visit was on 18/09/23

To get to this restaurant, you’re looking at a 11-13 mins walk from Liverpool Street Station. Overground, Central Line, Hammersmith & City, Metropolitan, Circle & District Lines (Underground Tube)

Firstly, I like to start off by saying that Michael and his brother, were very, very hospitable and a very warm, excellent customer service from the outset.

Okay, so what was purchased.

Peruvian Chicken, Mayan Veggie Bites, Salmon Poke, Mayan Veggie Bites, Corn Elote Salad

Was kindly given a few freebies; Albajores

I’m going to be brutally honest about each Taco flavour and to manage expectations, don’t expect an authentic Mexican Taqueria (lugar de tacos)

Peruvian Chicken - very dry and no seasoning on the pulled chicken. Have suggested to do a Birria style pull chicken

Prawn Star - no citrus balance and most definitely no Smokey prawns. Think naked prawn cocktail.

Mayan Veggie Bites - this was the sleeper hit Taco for me. However, the only criticism i have is the flavours are not Mayan related, more Asian theme. So have suggested to what ingredients that the Mayan ancient civilisation did use; i.e. Pumpkin, Sweet Potato, etc.

Salmon Poke - I’d customised mine and made it slightly better. The salmon has no soy sauce marination or citrus tone. A vital  ingredient to use for salty, acidity tones to the profile of the taco. Have suggested to use Ponzu sauce marination for the Salmon.

Corn Elote Salad - regrettably this needs an overhaul for its recipe. It was to me just corn in mayonnaise with a sprinkling of seasoning which doesn’t assist the corn whatsoever. This side was very weak.

Albajores (Freebie) - lack of filling and very, very dry when consumed. It zaps away any moisture you have in your mouth.

Beverage selection was okay. Had a raspberry lemonade. This is branded and not in house made.

They have a disabled toilet.

Parking will be somewhat difficult to find.

They will be opening a second location in Covent Garden.

An interesting concept but still requires some tweaks here and there on their food menu. Don’t know how many food tasting samples they had prior to launch?

Black Lotus

We've come here multiple times and this is one of the best most authentic halal Thai restaurant we've been to. The Chef is a lovely Thai lady with over 20 years of experience and you can taste the care that goes into each dish with its unique flavours and undertones.

Everything we ordered here was perfect. A personal favourite is the papaya salad, refreshing, crunchy and fresh. The Thai green curry had a really nice flavour and the chicken wings are super unique. Portion sizes, including meat per dish is really good and when they say spicy, they mean Thai level spicy!

A small menu, a small restaurant with everything executed perfectly and really good service - polite and helpful wait staff who can give you suggestions depending on what you're after.

Absolutely smashing and I'll keep coming back for sure. Thanks for a great experience!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this exceptional Thai restaurant, and it exceeded all expectations! The flavours in every dish were an exquisite symphony of sweet, sour, and spicy. The authenticity of the cuisine truly transported me to the bustling streets of Thailand. The attentive staff and charming ambience added to the overall experience. We visited for a late lunch early dinner. Food was excellent, we enjoyed every plate that we ordered. We felt that the portions were alot, which I guess is a good thing. Prices are ok. They also treated us to in house tea and coffee, thank you for that. Interior is lovely, restaurant and rest room was clean. We'll definitely be back.

Service was good as is the ambience in this halal Thai restaurant.  The food however was altogether a different story.  We used to have a good Thai restaurant in Clayhall which changed ownership and went to pot.  Thought this would be a good alternative but unfortunately not.  Can't recommend and won't be gonig again which is a shame as the restaurant and food do look the part but the food tastes no where near as good as it looks.

I really enjoyed the Thai red curry which was super tasty and creamy. Then the pad noodles with beef were very nice. The starters were ok. The shop decor is wonderful. Rafi took very good care of us especially when we requested for not too much ice in our mojito.

If you're hungry and want value for your money then this is the place to go. All chicken is halal only. The portion is massive so be careful when ordering. Burgers come with 2 chicken fillets and are big in size. Overall nice venue, well spaced out the tables. Food wise can't complain, good chicken. Love the fact that they serve potato tots. The only downside is that the meat burgers look good on the menu but sadly not halal, so I'm hoping soon they manage to become fully halal so I can visit again.

I was super excited to hear about this place opening in shoreditch having heard how much they’re killing it in the north and therefore had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately those expectations were not met 😔.

The chips were not as crispy as I had expected and lacked crunch. Also I was surprised about the small portion serving of chips presented. On to the burgers and it didn’t have that wow factor. Out of the burgers we did order I would recommend the Swiss tony and the last samurai thigh. There signature burger the fat hippo was okay, but not great. We found the patty to be slightly over cooked even though we expected it to medium rare.

We were super gutted to not experience their milkshakes as the machine was broken, but we understand that it is a new opening and that they were bound to have small niggling issues.

Apart from the small teething problems you would have with a new restaurant opening. It was a nice experience but not one where we would be coming back in a hurry.

Paying £14.50 for a beef burger might be expensive, considering a fully loaded Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) burger will set you back £12.60 and a Five Guys burger will cost you £8.95. However, Fat Hippo is not your average burger. I ordered the Hokus Porkus and it did not dissapoint. Every bite was juicy, crunchy and messy. The beef patty and American cheese is paired up with pork scratchings, jalapeno peppers, black pudding, kiev mayo and bacon crumbs. The burgers also come with an individual serving of fries with cajun seasoning.

The menu features eight beef burgers, five vegan burgers and five chicken burgers to choose from. The drinks menu focuses heavily on beers (although there are no draft beers). There is also an indulgent dessert menu (starting at £6) that headlines with a black vanilla soft serve, blended from almonds + cashews that is only available in this Shoreditch location. Give the "This is America" dessert a try - black vanilla soft serve ice cream, peanut butter and jam.

The service delivers the Northern warmth and cheekyness you expect given Fat Hippo was born in Newcastle upon Tyne. The interior is large, accomodating 108 covers. Ask to be seated on booths next to the window - comfy and offer a great view. The only two areas for improvement to complement the sixteen sauces in offer (£1 each) are the fries and non alchoolic drinks. The fries could be a bit cruchier. The non alcoholic drink options should be more varied than soda. If you are after a dirty, indulgent, fully loaded burger, Fat Hippo is your spot.

A bit small portion for that price, but very tasty burger. Nice and competent service. Not bad house beer. Unfortunately there's no draft beer available. Generally nice places. I'll be definitely back soon.

My mates and I decided to check this place out today! We left full and happy, certainly not disappointed.
The food took a bit longer to arrive but it was worth the wait! Burgers were big and juicy, really nicely flavoured. We upgraded our chips to dirty tots! WOW - loads of mini hash browns  with bacon and yummy sauce.
Staff were all welcoming and smiley! We’ll be back soon!

Great food for very affordable price. I had the naked burrito and it was tasty. The chips were decent too although a little hard. The service was fast, but they could be a little more organized between the cashier and the person who takes the order.

Ordered Large naked bowl via Ubereats. Portion size small not filled to the top. Got three strands of Monterey Jack cheese. No option to ask for more on the app. Sad times.

Amazing breakfasts - I always go for the naked breakfast burrito - this contains black beans, scrambled egg, fried potato pieces, chorizo and topped off with sour cream and shredded cheddar (?) cheese. You can then add your choice of salsa - medium or hot are the best. Tortilla also has a loyalty card scheme.

Sabrina was great, so quick and professional and my burrito tasted so good! I'm a huge fan of tortilla and Sabrina was so exceptional for the costumer service that they already offer.

The service is good but the tables are quite dirty they don't clean up after every customer, but for food I will give 5 stars.🤗

Shake Shack Canary Wharf

How fabulous! Wonderful chicken burger (finally tried and discovered what a "concrete" was! Oh my goodness! So delicious!) and a proper beer to boot.

Lets be honest, it doesn’t get better than a shake shack. This one has a great location, right in the centre of canary wharf. It has a good space for indoor seating but it also has outdoor seating if needed.

Customer service was great and the food cane really quick as expected. The burgers were in line with shake shacks brilliant quality bar.

Have only tried the chicken burger and I liked it. Decent quality meat with good quality fillings.

The chips were a little standard and the burger was great but not amazing.

We also had our dog with us on Saturday (chk961), and found out it's a dog friendly restaurant too!
Provided they're kept outside, they sell doggy biscuits which our dog loved as much we did the human food.

CUPP Bubble Tea - Gants Hill

Had the bubble tea a couple times now from here. I usually go for brown sugar tea with tapioca (obviously). There is always a crowd of people outside this shop (that's why I thought I'd try it out). To be honest it's pretty standard. I wonder if the crowd of people are actually customers or people hanging out! There are some other big chains that are better IMHO. Nonetheless, it's not bad either so if you need a fix and you're in the area it's a fair option. 3 stars only for taste as I have tasted better.

Love it! Good selection and variety. Tapioca pearls are amazing and they have these brown sugar bubble teas that are amazing. New place opened June, clean and very welcoming. You have to try it! And if you didn't know it is in Gants Hill, anyone from Romford area can get there easy and quick as there aren't too many options around to pick. So give it a try, it was really good!

contrary to some of the other reviews, i think this bubble tea store is great! i went there yesterday with my boyfriend and all of the staff were very friendly, drinks were good too. matcha was a little sweet, would be nice if you could adjust the sugar levels. other than that i had a pleasant experience and will definitely be going there more often :)

A very average bubble tea place at best. There's better chains around, though this being a dedicated place in the area explains the queues. The price certainly doesn't justify the quality.

But if you need a fix, this is at time of writing, the only dedicated place so it will provide an average bubble tea if at a fairly high price.

Fair warning: some flavours will taste like juices/syrups you may have had before (e.g. Mango tea tastes like Rubicon; Rose milk tea tastes like Rose syrup drink).

Got my bubble tea today. The person working taking the order wasn't really helpful. Charged for a bag without asking if I need a bag, also didn't explain the process for ordering as I have never ordered before! then when I got my drink the person working didn't even give a bag and when asked for a bag I got given a blank look like I was in the wrong. Showed the receipt and still got a blank look. This is very unprofessional and the drink was tasteless. I will not be returning here at all. You should be helpful to your customers and be transparent about charges and not just charge your customer without asking what they want! Everyone beware of what you order and what your receipt shows you have paid for!! Don't waste your money like I did.

We ordered through Uber eats and the food came in good time.

The loaded fries were tasty and the dynamite wings were nice too. However the burgers weren’t great. The buns were so mushy, it may have been due to the amount of sauce but we just couldn’t finish the burgers which is a shame. As it’s called 6burgerz the burgers should be the main attraction.

Had the full english burger, with cheesy bacon fries, macapenos and wings of love.. And what can I say? That was absolutely lovely.. The burger was something else altogether. Would definitely order from here again. 110% worth the money

Ordered my food through Uber eats  restaurant decided to use their own driver for delivery which would not let me track my order, waited nearly 2 hours kept ranging  the restaurant and was told my order has been left in the building lobby and I live on the second floor when I went down to collect my food and my food was not there. When I call the restaurant they were not very helpful at all.It ruined my whole evening as it was my kids' dinner. Will not order from them anymore

Decent spot for lunch. More on the pricier side out of the spitalfields foods.

The chicken and curry was delicious. Very tender and well cooked chicken. Curry sauce was well spiced. Not too salty and not insanely hot. Great for universal taste. I expected more from the pilau rice. I’m no pilau rice expert but have tried enough a few to determine it missed something. Maybe a hint of another spice or a garnish.

Service was also friendly and people were very helpful.

The menu might have been a bit confusing but might just be me being very unaware of the foods.

Worth a try if you love trying all south Asian foods in town.

I travel and lived several years in Pakistan, and tandoori dishes was always a unique dinning experience over for me. I can say without any doubts that the tandoori chicken that I had here, brought me back to my unforgettable time in Lahore! Was amazing, thank you so much for this, was a present for me and my wife.

The Chicken Briyani is not bad here. Nothing extraordinary, but it certainly does not taste bad. We ordered the spicy fries, which I would rate slightly above average. Ignore the soup dumplings in the photo; they were purchased from Dumpling Shack.

Confusing over complicated menu. Lady walked off before I finished my order, nothing was in stock, lady came back my order was still unresolved so she walked off again. Spent more time singing then talking.

A hidden gem of east London. And a spot that is on Michelin guide. We are getting a lot of renowned chefs from central London, in East London. Half the stuff members are from the famous Tamarind. Food reflects the idea of the journey of grand trunk road, which is the longest road covering India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and even Afghanistan. The menu has a little bit of all of these with the modern touch

Lahori Murgh Kebab is always a must order in most Indian places. As you can judge most chicken quality with these dishes. These were chicken thigh and it was excellent. Only thing would’ve wanted is more flavour element to it. Like thick flavour paste on the chicken.

Biryani was flavour town. It had all these flavours and aroma hitting my nose. Had small chunks of green chillis as well, as requested, as I love my spice. I love my saucy Biryanis but these again for pilao style Biryani was epic. This is the only Biryani dish they have and I can see why they are confident with the one

Butter chicken better than most other butter chicken. I know alot of place do tangy butter chicken which I personally don’t like. This had good flavours. And added spice to it and gave a little kick, it’s not the best I’ve had but defo a really tasty one

The royal lamb shank is slow cooked dish and  had a taste of Nihari to the gravy. I think the shank wasn’t cooked fully hence why it was abit tough on the outside. As I saw other videos, the meat pulled apart. Wasn’t the case on my shank unfortunately. Defo must’ve been a one off situation

A real mixed bag ranging from sensational deserts to an awful pseudo biryani.
We went for a birthday celebration and this was a convenient location, saving us the trek into town.
Ambience and decor were conducive to fine dining. The tables were full but it was not noisy and no awful music.
One of our party has a serious shellfish allergy and they were very considerate about that.
The starters were very good. We got about 6 I think. Grilled chickens and fish. All the fish dishes were perfectly cooked.
We ordered truffle and mushroom naan which had no taste of truffle or mushroom. Very disappointing.
The major disappointment was the lamb biryani. This was not a biryani by any stretch, it was more like a pilaf. The lamb pieces contained inedible grissly bits which is unforgivable bearing in mind what they were charging for it.
The aubergine dish was right up my street.
The deserts were sensational. We ordered mango brulee and a weird sounding avocado and rose icecream, which is worth going back for again and again.
I also ordered a coffee which was surprisingly excellent.
This is a pricey place so they cannot serve substandard food if they want customers to return.

Service was absolutely amazing, couldn’t fault anyone at the shop. However the food on the other hand, the flavours didn’t satisfy my pallet. Flavours were alright, but nothing to scream about. Nice experience, but if you want pure flavour, better at a local spot.

Been twice, once many years ago and yesterday. Yesterday's meal was utterly scrumptious, packed with flavour. The set menu is excellent value although would forgo the dessert next time as it wasn't so good.

Chicken 2 way was excellent as was the lamb ghost. Ordered an extra peshawari naan as it doesn't come with many peices per person with the set menu. This too was high end naan. If I'm being critical the poppadom portion is very small.

Overall a great dining experience. Service is attentive and friendly.

Service was excellent, the starters were top class. However the main was not great at all. The lamb biryani had no taste and was boring a baby can eat that no spice. The chicken tava was not great at all. Overall I gave it 3 stars due to the very expensive bill and the main was bad.

This amazing michelin starred restaurant gave me an extraordinary service as well as exquisite meals.. huge variety of the menus + staffs are very knowledgeable on what to recommend with a courtesy. Thanks for the amazing experience and I hope to visit again soon.

THIS PLACE ON A MONDAY NIGHT IS A MUST! you only get the choice of 3 types of wings but my god are they good. Hot every time and such good value for money. Me and my friend went through about 70 wings!! Caution- The buffalo wings are HOT but so so good!

Great food in a great location. Limited choice of beers but they're good, and the main attraction are the wings anyway.

Lots of variety to keep you coming back for more, and some really interesting flavour combinations. The extra hot buffalo wings do not mess around, though the real highlight is the Gong Bao wings – fried to perfection with Sichuan pepper and pickled pineapple.

Very good food. Wings are much better than the burger. Considering convid19 you eat outside but this doesn't seem to have affected the taste of the food here! All around good food!

Great wings.  But need to be more consistent.  Chicken thigh burger is very good too.

Simply the best burgers in the local area (Stepney Green/Mile end). So glad to have a place that doesn’t have dead, tasteless burgers. The meat in the smashed burgers is moist and juicy, I love the amount of sauce/cheese used (if you don’t like a saucy burger this may not be for you). I enjoy watching the sauciness drip from my burger whilst fireworks go off in my mouth from every mouthwatering bite. The chips however are a hit or a miss, not always satisfied with these but due to the great burgers I’ll keep coming back.

Food comes in a sturdy, recyclable box. Restaurant is inside a plant store, amazing unintentional aesthetics. The sauce sachets that come with the food needs to be changed as they do not compliment the meal at all, basic ketchup would be a better choice.

I went in with a couple brothers and my expectation at first from looking at the location was not all that but I was surprised Alhamdulillah. First we had to scan the qr code on entry to look at the menu. And the options were amazing with the prices were decently ranges out. We ordered two mixed platter for two. The Double Smashed Burgers was the best HMC burger I have had in a while. I would give the burger an 8/10 but that's just me if anything I should have added the chili sauce to overall boost the flavour but that's on my side. The chips I would give a 8.5 out of 10 it's just the and tastes overall peri peri powder tasted really nice. And the Dynamite wings tasted really spot on I just felt as though I should have used more sauces to experiment with I would give it a 8/10. The
TIRAMISU was a 10/10 I have never had one as good as this Alhamdulillah. Unfortunately I didn't take any photos of it since I was just hungry. But everything was just on point with it. The customer service was a 9/10 and the overall experience was a 10/10. Everything was made fresh and it wasn't much of a wait considering the also had to make takeaways.

The best halal wagyu burgers I've had. They are so juicy.  The wings are to die for. Simply smashed have simply outdone themselves and it's no wonder I'm a frequent returning customer. Immensely pleased

Very nice location restaurant a Tad small, food and beverages was okay. Kids enjoyed the food alongside the salad the chefs cooked, tasty, kebab, wrap and the staff serving on the till was very efficient and a good salesman.

I ordered 2 mains on their self-checkout machine, paid, trusting them to have price of one, then realised it’s full price. I asked the waiter, who claimed he has no control over the machine, and what I paid is what I should pay.

Loaded Gourmet Burgers And Fries

Nice little Burger joint, well decorated and has a good range of foods. I had the nacho fries which were very tasty, cheesy, and a little spicy. The buffalo wings were okay, they were crispy but that was just the crunchy batter on them, there wasn't much meat. They'd be better off with a nice blue cheese dip than a sour cream to pair with the buffalo wings.

Overall nice though, with very good service and friendly polite staff.

Munir who served me done an excellent job with his customer service. Me and my colleague came into the restaurant and he came from behind the till to greet us and seat us.

The food was nice, but I am a harsh critic… so I would say the flavour of the wings (Texas bbq) was really nice, however lacked some depth. Food was cooked well and the passion fruit daiquiri??? Wheeewww!! I would come again for that ALONE!

Halal (HMC) burgers: grab a lunchtime special (daily between 12pm and 5pm) starting from just £5.00 for a burger, fries and soft drink. Good value!

Never visited their Dalston branch but restaurant was completely empty for a Friday night. We were the only customers. We ordered the chicken wings as a starter and burgers for main course but they were about to serve us everything together until my husband explained that we wanted a starter as a starter.

Chicken wings were ok but nothing special and the burgers just didn't hit the spot. The meat was dry and nothing succulent and juicy. Don't think we'll return to this branch.

Had a good time here, place got really busy quickly with some awkward customers who lack any self awareness. Also the staff were unpleasant and lacked common sense to say the least. Nonetheless the food was good and prices a tad bit expensive.

Ordered a takeaway while on the train, very easy in the App. Food was ready on time. Staff always so pleasant and helpful. (Apologies, can’t remember the man’s name.) Food really tasty. Thank you.

A large group of 9 of us walked in on a busy Sunday. We were seated straight away and tables were cleaned almost immediately. Food was served promptly piping hot and we left satisfied. The people waiting tables are incredibly friendly and kept us informed every step of the way. Would recommend this branch to others

The young gentleman offered us the custard tart on the house for the delay which was appreciated.

Food was good, but i find I’m not blown away by Nandos anymore, the sauces are never as hot as advertised.

The same young man was yelled at by a customer for delayed service, and he took it well - the customer was a little unfair with his approach.
