The day before yesterday, my friend and I ate our meal on the second floor here. I noticed that the gentleman in charge of cleaning on the second floor kept the entire small space very clean and tidy, and he promptly provided us with napkins. This is the most comfortable KFC I've ever experienced.

I don’t know what happened here. I placed the order around 22.30 on 15/01/2026 And the Might for One chicken was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly just flaking off the bone. Amazing
I meant to get a lucky batch then !!

Restaurant was not busy at the time maybe 5 customers at least the Asian bouncers looked bored anyway

The staff member who served me  the one in the photo was very rude and unprofessional. Their customer service was terrible, showing no kindness or willingness to help, which made my experience very unpleasant. They really need to improve the way their staff deal with customers

First I ordered the wings meal and Mighty Bucket For one food was good 👍 Chip was very low quality tasty was just OK but the table was so dirty and the service was very slow even 4 stuff on the floor seem all staff looking for something. Need to improve stuff training.

Thania was amazing. To start,  she tookntime with my order and explained what suited me and what didnt. As a chicken wing fan, she explained the options and.helped me choose what was right for me.

Very thankful for the time and effort especially when it was so busy.

In our KFC Halal restaurants we do not handle any pork ingredients, and all the food and drink items served in these restaurants are approved by the Halal Food Authority. This ensures the very best Halal food standards but does mean that certain menu items and limited time offers may not be available.

Another key consideration for us was that we were able to ensure that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards we employ in the UK, and we consulted leading animal welfare groups about this.

There is no compromise to our welfare standards. We continue to insist that our poultry is stunned before slaughter, using a technique called 'stun-to-stun'. We only buy high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, who are contractually required to meet or exceed all relevant UK and EU legislation and this will not change.

Pali Kitchen

Tried the Kathi rolls here and they were excellent - the paratha was soft yet slightly crisp on the edges holding together without getting soggy. The filling was generous, packed with flavour, and had the right mix of spice and freshness. The chicken tikka roll which I had was smoky and well-marinated, while the vegetarian option (Aubergine potato curry) had a nice flavour and heat

Pali Kitchen is a quick takeaway-style restaurant with very decent flavors. My rice bowl was fresh and well-prepared, but I found the seasoning a little mild possibly because I skipped the sauces to avoid adding extra calories. Without them, the flavors felt like they were tailored to a more subtle, English-friendly palate.

That said, I’m open to giving this place another try, this time with their sauces, to see if they elevate the overall flavor profile. For now, it’s a solid three stars, but I’ll happily revisit and update my review if my next experience packs more punch.

The Butter Chicken Rice Bowl from Pali Kitchen is an absolute winner!  The butter chicken itself is incredibly flavorful, with that perfect balance of creamy richness and a hint of tang, and the chicken pieces are tender and juicy. Paired with the perfectly cooked rice, it creates a comforting and utterly delicious combination.
What truly sets this bowl apart, besides the fantastic taste, is the generous portion size. You definitely get your money's worth, making it a satisfying and fulfilling meal. It's clear that Pali Kitchen doesn't skimp on quality or quantity.
If you're looking for a reliably tasty and substantial meal, the Butter Chicken Rice Bowl from Pali Kitchen is a highly recommended choice.

Delicious food and generous portions!! A great option for lunch if you work in the area. The butter chicken bowl is my favourite, but go early because they can run out!! I've told my coworkers about this place and they all love it as well! There is usually a long line, but it goes super quick.

Food taste is decent however question is the quantity. They have this rice bowl option. They just fill a quarter with rice & curry and another quarter is with salads. In summary, the bowl is only half filled for £9.95. Once I said, it is only half filled and their response was that any extra would cost you £3.95.
In summary, the quantity of food they offer is never enough for me. My 5 year old child eats more than what they offer as standard.
I will never visit there again.

Taco Bell

Ordered on uber eats, i opened up my crunchwrap to add chips into it and i see two hairs which is actually disgusting. Furthermore the meat was rubbery and the whole meal was just shit

Don't  buy anything from this Taco Bell store. i order veggie food, and they give me chicken one. Never order from this store. I have an allergy with meat as well. So now, who is responsible for this thing if some happen to me.

Halal taco bell. I had their chicken taco, chicken burrito, fries, churros and drink deal. The deal itself was reasonable. Chicken taco and chicken burrito are not recommended. They tasted below average. The fries and churros were good in taste. I also had chicken nachos which are average.
Overall, i would not recommend anything besides churros.
The cleanliness is below par (all tables and floor were dirty). Staff was nice and were rolling out orders pretty quickly.

Sadly we were let down by this place. The food was ok but the seating area was disgusting. The bins were over flowing and there was not a single clean table to eat our meal.

As a delivery driver, I regularly face issues at Taco Bell in Stratford Centre Mall. Many times, the order is not prepared until the delivery driver arrives at the store. Even after reaching on time, we are told to wait an additional 10 minutes or more, which causes unnecessary delays. This is not a one-time issue; it happens repeatedly.

They also prioritise in-store customers over online delivery orders, even though both should be treated equally. On top of that, the staff behaviour is very rude and unprofessional. Delivery drivers are often ignored, especially when the shop is busy with walk-in customers.

Orders are frequently not ready on time, which makes our job very difficult. This store clearly needs more staff and better-trained service staff. Otherwise, they risk damaging their reputation due to poor service and unprofessional behaviour.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves their service standards.

Wood Oven

Amazing Turkish Food and Even Better Service!

We had such a great experience here! The food was full of authentic Turkish flavor — fresh bread straight from the wood oven, tender meats, and the most delicious meze. You can really taste the difference when everything’s cooked in a wood oven.

But what made the visit even better was Ibrahim. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and really took care of us from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does — he made great recommendations, and served us really well!

It’s rare to find such warm service and amazing food in one place. Big thanks to Ibrahim for making our meal so special — we’ll definitely be back!

Wood Oven
We ordered the Adana kebab and chicken grill, and both were tasty and cooked well. We also had the crispy calamari platter – the calamari was fine and cooked just right. The kebab was especially flavorful and satisfying.

We did find two hairs in the food, which was a bit off-putting, but the taste overall was still good. The Shake Bueno we ordered was also delicious and a nice way to end the meal.

Overall, good flavors and enjoyable dishes, but hygiene could be improved.

Review for Wood Oven
First time visiting, and the food was excellent. They even brought out complimentary dishes, which felt very polite and welcoming.

However, I do have one comment about the payment process. When I wanted to pay, they told me they only accept cash which wasn’t mentioned earlier. When I explained I didn’t have cash, they suggested I use the cash dispenser they have. I then said I didn’t have my card on me, and only then they offered the card machine but told me I’d need to go to the front desk. This was unnecessary hassle, especially since they already had a card machine available. It would have been much smoother if they were upfront about payment methods from the start, or simply brought the machine to the table.

Overall, great food and hospitality, but the payment process could definitely be improved.

This was my first time eating in this restaurant and I would definitely recommend this place. The service is very good and staff are polite. The quality of the food is excellent and very tasty. We had the wood oven special platter which had almost everything usually eat so I am very satisfied.

Visited here for the first time after looking at strong positive reviews online, and honestly, a very good restaurant, decor is warm and inviting. On entering, staff are attentive and polite, with 10/10 customer service. Food was simply superb. Thanks very much everyone for a wonderful evening.

PHAT BITE Ilford

The food is great. We tried the Fully Loaded Platter with naga chips and buffalo wings. The wings felt too salty for me. But loved the rest. Cheaper price. Decoration is good and colourful. But the temperature is bit warm inside.

The customer service from Muhammad was excellent. My wife, daughter and I had a great fast food meal here and the portions are a good size. I really enjoyed the  burgers, and barbecued two joint chicken wings. The grilled food is the star.

I tried the Fully Loaded Platter at Phat Bite, which includes lamb doner, two mango-flavoured wings, a smash burger, masala fries, salad, and a drink. The platter offers good variety, and the lamb doner was nicely seasoned. The mango wings had a unique flavour but could have been a bit juicier. The smash burger was decent but nothing extraordinary. Masala fries were tasty, adding a nice twist to the meal. Overall, it's a filling option, but the food could use a bit more attention to detail, especially considering the price. Not bad for a quick bite, but there’s room for improvement.

Came here for the first time, service was good and cleanliness not an issue. We got the mixed platter for £14.99 lamb and chicken.

Personally lamb was better chicken was a bit tough but had flavour, wings and burger was really good and Masala fries was nice however was very spicy bear in mind.

The food was absolutely lovely. My partner and I really enjoyed the variety on offer — every dish felt thoughtfully made. The textures and flavors were unique and full of character, true Caribbean comfort with a special twist. The vibe of the place is amazing too, warm and welcoming from start to finish. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and a great atmosphere.

Had a really pleasant evening at Palm Bay last night! The food and drinks were a little slow coming out, but the staff were so nice and helpful that it didn’t really matter. We were a party of six and probably a bit loud at times, but we were well looked after with friendly smiles all around. It’s been a while since my last visit — still love the place. Just returned from having a delicious family meal at Palm Bay to celebrate my daughter's birthday. The cocktails were spot on and the food was heavenly. This is my 2nd visit in less than 2 months and it defo didn't disappoint. Would highly recommend.

Nice family feel run place, a leveled up take on the caribbean food place, serving all the staples, but no soups. Cocktails and drinks in a semi lounge feel ambience. Food was tasty and flavourful and a few own style takes on fan favourites. The lamb chops were medium rare, sweet and moreish. Service was good and prompt. All in a delight to find. Definitely would re visit if back in the area.

Really good food and perhaps the best jerk chicken I had in my life. The prices are quite reasonable and can be seen online. The only downside is their service is really really slow and it took us 45 mins to be served out food and it was missing the sauces and sides when it was served to us.

Still a five star since the food was so good and the decoration was really well thought out.

I've found that Food in shisha lounges tends to be quite average, as the focus is usually on Mocktails and shisha. However, this is NOT the case for @vyb_dalston a new restaurant and shisha lounge 📍 located in Dalston. Swipe for more pics and menu

Even though I live in Ilford, it still took me an hour to get here by car! I arrived to a busy shisha lounge with a good vibe. The restaurant is currently in a soft launch phase and has a limited menu

However, I was pleasantly suprised with the food. I got a mix grill, lamb chops (accidentally ordered this), VYB Burger and Korean wings, chilli con carne chips and 1 Mocktails and milkshake. You don't offen see French trimed thick juicy lamb chops cooked to medium, this level of quality was only seen in high end restaurants a few years ago, but great to see here done right. The flavours of all the grilled meats where we'll balanced and flavoured.

The burger had a good meaty taste, it was flamed grilled, but packed with loads of fresh ingredients and well made sauces. The chili con carne chips were a favourite, really morish and tasty!

I got a VYB Mocktail, which was too sweet and syrupy for me. The shake was good

All.in all, good food, well presented and a nice place to chill if you like shisha. There is a restaurant area, separated from the shisha area, but doesn't have a great vibe. I don't smoke shisha. Meal was on the house. Thoughts and words my own.

Requested for the lamb fillet with mash. He came back and said there wasn’t any mash left so i chose fries as another alternative then the lamb came out, i thought i was going to choke due to it being chewy and overcooked. I spat it out into the piece of tissue. I told one of the servers about the issue and he said they can’t do anything about it just because i decided to leave the food and sit back to do the shisha and after said something about the food. which confused me because what difference does it make for the issue to be resolved. My friend asked for the Vyb special mocktail. The server also came back and said they don’t know how to make the drink which is ridiculous. This place is a hit or miss!

The best lounge in the area! The staff are amazing and always so attentive. The shisha is consistently top tier, and the atmosphere is incredibly cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great spot to relax. Oh and the Karak chai is the best

On Christmas Day, when almost everything was closed, I stopped by while I was out doing deliveries and asked if I could please use the restroom. Two young women working there were incredibly kind not only did they allow me to use it without hesitation, but they also offered me free drinks. That simple act of generosity truly meant a lot to me. You don’t come across kindness like that very often especially on a holiday. I’m really sorry I didn’t get their names but I hope they know how much their kindness was appreciated.

I’ve been here twice, love the atmosphere and the shisha is really good. The staff are SO attentive and polite which is very rare to find nowadays. Definitely planning to come here even more, 10/10 service and would definitely recommend!!

Went here for the first time & I must say the VYB was definitely there! The service was on point the food & shisha was great, cant go wrong! They even specify what each shisha flavour contains (which I have not seen in other shisha spots). We had 3 starters, 3 mains, 3 drinks & a dessert for my girls birthday! The staff are so observant & attentive & you don’t have to keep calling them over. They were so friendly & made sure our needs were met. This might just be my new spot for real! Price range was very decent. Definitely recommend going there & trying their food & shisha & just being there for the VYB! Ohh & parking right outside after 7pm.

I had booked for my fiancé birthday. Such a lovely place, food was fresh and delicious. Specially their starter Mac& cheese with grilled chicken strips. Service was very good. We had fun. Highly recommend for small gatherings and birthdays.

Food was really good with the perfect amount of flavour. The mocktails were lovely and not too sweet. The customer service was great, everyone was helpful and attentive. It’s a quiet, casual, low-key spot, perfect for a pre-meal before an event. Will definitely be back ☺️

Great Family-Friendly Halal Spot!
We visited The Stratford Grill for dinner and had such a wonderful experience. The food was excellent – the steaks were juicy and full of flavour, and the desserts were a real treat. What really stood out was how family-friendly the place is. It felt welcoming and comfortable, making it easy to enjoy the evening with everyone. I recently had a fantastic meal at The Grill Stratford and wanted to share my experience. From start to finish, the food was absolutely top-notch, and it's a spot I'd highly recommend.
For starters, I got the buffalo wings and black tiger prawns. The wings had a great kick and were perfectly cooked, while the prawns were juicy and full of flavour. Both dishes were a great way to kick off the meal.
But the real star of the show was the ribeye steak. It was incredibly tender, cooked to perfection, and melted in my mouth with every bite. It was easily one of the best steaks I’ve had in a long time.
While my main focus was on the steak, I also had a taste of the burger, and it didn’t disappoint. It was hearty, well-seasoned, and a great choice if you're not in the mood for a steak.
Overall, the quality of the food at The Grill Stratford is superb. If you're looking for a place with excellent steaks and a solid menu all around, this is definitely the place to go.

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

Popeyes Louisiana Chicken

I got the stacker burger with consists of chicken fillet, hash brown, cheese and mayo. Very crispy outside and juicy inside. With chicken tenders that were really chunky and well seasoned tenders. Fries were surprisingly tasty, better than any on the high street.
My only critique was a strange smell in the restaurant that smelled abit like a dirty mop.

Normally it’s good from here but on this occasion it was very poor the fries seemed old and like thay have been reheated or something .it was like eating thin strips of cardboard also the tenders were tiny I have never had tenders that small before . Maybe it’s because I ordered them via just eat

Great visit to Popeyes Romford and a tasty cold treat on a hot day!

The Popeyes stores are currently doing a special promotion where you can get a Whipz (ice cream) for 99p which is a saving of a few pounds off a normal sized ice cream! It’s tempted me in and I ordered a Biscoff Whipz.

I highly recommend it, the portion size was good and flavour was lovely! I very rarely visit Popeyes but this promotion was very good and one I’ve been doing when they put it on for a limited time only!

The staff were very friendly and I was approached by a happy member of staff in the dining area who encouraged me to complete a Google Review!

The ordering process was easy because of the self-service kiosks to place your order and there is the ability to pay cash at a till too! The dining area was clean and tidy which impressed me and the atmosphere was good.

I’d definitely return to this store and recommend it to friends and family! Thank you.

went there for the first time got the chicken box everything. service was quick but that was the only good thing. the whole place was dirty we had to get a worker to clean our tables she gave us attitude. after 5 minutes into my meal a worker came to us and basically forced us to give a review. she took my phone then gave a review that wasn't even my own opinion. and she had so much attitude too. after that it was a little awkward. i soon took a bite out of my wing it was raw. so i put it in the bin. i needed to go toilet and all of them were dirty.

I am a loyal customer of popeyes Romford, however after today’s experience I won’t visit them ever..
I ordered a spicy Chicken wrap which was cold upon touching . I took it back to the server and requested if they can warm it.
I was told that lettuce and tomatoes in the wrap are needed to be kept cold to retain their freshness so when these veggies are put in the wrap it makes the wrap cold. I asked if they can warm the wrap for me but I was told that they are not allowed to do that.

Achari Keema Chicken Parmesan from the new restaurant in East London @manjaros.london. A popular restaurant in Birmingham has opened up here in London and I checked it out in opening night .

The place has just opened up so I don't think it's fair to officially review the food. This place is good if you are fan of Sahara Grill and those type of places. Family friendly. No alcohol. All Halal and they have a lovely prayer room.

Great Food and Wonderful Service!
I recently visited Manjaros on Ilford Lane after a friend recommended it, and it definitely lived up to the hype! My friend and I went there for lunch, and from the moment we walked in, we were impressed by the cosy yet spacious atmosphere. The lighting and décor are modern and welcoming, giving the place a very comfortable vibe.

The menu has an excellent variety of options for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians, which is always a plus. We started off with drinks,a Pina Colada and Fruit Punch, both refreshing and nicely presented. For starters, we ordered Loaded Fries, which were spicy with just the right kick.

For the mains, I had a Vegetarian Pizza (fresh and flavorful!), and my friend ordered a mixed meal that came with chips, rice, pita bread, salad, skewers, and sauce, an impressive platter and great value for money.

Everything was served hot and neatly presented. The portion sizes were generous, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained. Our server was polite, attentive, and very helpful, making the overall experience even better.

Price-wise, it’s very economical considering the quality and quantity of food. We left feeling happy, full, and eager to return.

Highly recommend Manjaros if you’re looking for great food, friendly service, and a relaxed dining experience on Ilford Lane!

An excellent and pleasantly surprising experience. We decided to pop in on a busy night and the restaurant seemed appealing. The waiter greeted us and sat us at a good location within the spacious restaurant. The food was delicious and full of flavour. The pepperoni pizza ordered for the kids was well received.
Prayer space and separate washrooms for men and women available.
Payment in store is closed at 10pm so had to place the order and make payment online while seated at the table. The process was quick and food was brought to the table relatively quickly. Prices are decent. Recommended.

We were at Manjaros Ilford last night for my husband’s birthday. The staff is really good - Mohammad helped us ordering and also was very polite and helpful. Also there was another girl who cleared our table (sorry i forgot the name) lovely girl and very polite. Obviously was was amazing as always. They have changed their system to online payment only which was easy and reciept also came on my email address

Exceeded my expectations as per usual. Delicious food, amazing service.. it is our favourite place to eat. The ambience is so welcoming and I love their setup that caters for everything from a stand alone sink in the middle of restaurant to a beautiful little prayer room with wudhu facility. The staff is always very friendly. One tip though: please change ur kids colouring sheets. They have been the same ever since my boys were babies like 7yrs ago 😂.

I’ve been to Manjaros in Ilford with my family quite a few times, and I must say they have never disappointed me. The flavours are always consistent, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The quality of the food is really good, bursting with flavour. The prices are also fairly reasonable. Over all I can’t really fault them. I will defo be visiting again.

Been there by myself yesterday for bbq buffet. I’m so happy that they are real bbq not these fake pan-frying ones. You can see the charcoal under the grill.

Meats are fresh and well seasoned, especially the LA beef, my fave, they so tasty. Also service was very nice, the waitress said “eat as much as you want” .  So I happily ate least 8 different meats in 1.5 hours. And only cost £28+ service fee. Will definitely come back and will recommend friends.

We ordered both BBQ and hot pot table. The soup was too oily and almost tasteless, except the hot spice. I liked a great selection of sauces, herbs, oils and other food additives that were optional and free of charge. Of course the price is not for every day visit, but its worth to come at least once a month. I would suggest BBQ only as I didn’t like their soup base. Highly recommend frogs legs and sweet corn with cheese👍

Amazing place, I honestly can’t say anything bad. We had all you can eat hot pot and BBQ. The food was amazing, the meat was so tender, and the service was even better. The owner is very nice and treats all his customers with respect. If you’re looking for KBBQ or hotpot this really is the place!

Went at a lunch time and the waiter give us only the lunch 3 course menu and they dint utter a word. There were other people too, but all of them were waiting for their food, so I assumed they only do this 3 course menu for lunch and I ordered. The food took 35 mins to come and in between other customers got their hotpot. Now this surprised me ! My question is why did the waiter only give me the 3 course menu and why he dint give me full menu or informed me that full menu is also available. I felt betrayed and on top of it , they charged me 12.5 % service charge, which as I got the poorest service ever. Me and my son went and he choose the restaurant for hotpot only. So, this was very upsetting.

Amazing food, lovely service. Was in incredible and everything was fresh and the customer service 1010. I definitely recommend the atmosphere was amazing as well.

Great service with food recommendations. The Ayran drink was very delicious! The dips and salad was very fresh and well presented.
The main food was nice but i didn’t like the rice as it wasn’t cooked long enough, the chicken was a little dry and bland too. The meat sarma beyti dish was really nice!! Highly recommend.
Plus they have a masjid corner where you can pray.

Fabulous Turkish Restaurant, there is an extensive menu, and the meals are prepared fresh, after ordering.
And the portions, with the additional bread, salad,etc were enormous.
I had the chicken/ yoghurt dish, whilst my friend had a large chicken shish
Everything was so delicious.
Staff were friendly and welcoming, I will return as soon as possible.

I had an amazing dining experience at hilal restaurant! From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was inviting and warm, the staff were attentive and friendly, always ensuring we were taken care of.

The food was outstanding! We ordered the mix grill and can say hands down it was the best Turkish mixed grill I have tasted and I have been to a fair few Turkish restaurants as it is my favourite cuisine, the main course really exceeded all expectations. The staff were very understanding that it was Ramadan we had arrived slightly late due to traffic, they gave complementary soup/ dates and water to start our meal, to break our fast, which was incredibly thoughtful. They also gave us complementary tea and a slice of baklava to finish our meal!
Looking at the place you wouldn’t expect the highly quality, tasty food however, it's a place you can count on for an exceptional experience. I can’t wait to return and explore more of the menu! Highly recommend! I will be going back soon!!!

I came to this restaurant after it was recommended by locals as the best Turkish restaurant, and I am so glad we did.

Everything about the food was absolutely perfect,  the fresh and tasty salad, the superb mixed grill, and the Turkish tea to cap the meal off.

The brother and sister team who served my wife and me were the nicest people, and the service was genuinely the best I have ever experienced in any restaurant.

It was a perfect experience in all ways. We left the restaurant knowing we will always remember this incredible meal, the amazing service, and the lovely time we had celebrating her birthday.

I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

Great Turkish restaurant very clean with nice stews and kebabs.tried the daily stew and friend had aubergine kebab which was delicious. Loads of turkish tea and a free dessert. Very good experience

Ordered online. Worst food i have ever ordered. Had tin foil pieces and the rice was burnt. Its like they sent us the bottom of the pot. The chicken was tasteless and absolutely dry. Never again. I am just thankful me and my children didnt get food poisoning. Never ordering from here again and advising everyone i know not to either.

I'm from Hyderabad, India – the home of the best biryani – and I have to say, The Biryani Guys in Ilford seriously impressed me. Their Karachi-style biryani is packed with flavour, perfectly spiced, and gives real competition to authentic Hyderabadi biryani. A must-try for any true biryani lover!

Positive: chicken malai boti paratha roll was full of flavours . Biriyani had many pieces of meat than expected.
Negative: The lamb biryani was very spicy . Unfortunately the portion size for the price is very less.

Ordered lunch via UberEats. One of the meals was the masala lamb chops. Described as "Portion of 5. With a choice of fries or butter and corriander rice". So the first issue was there were only 4 chops one of which was more bone than meat. The second and bigger issue was the chops were burned to a crisp and rock hard all the way through. Inedible and clearly not made to order. Selling old stale food as new. DISGUSTING!!!

Amazing food - Karachi style food - have not ordered desi food from any other restaurant since I have found this gem of a place - portion size could be a little bit better but food taste is amazing - portion sizes are small - but every person who loves desi food should definitely order the paratha roll - it fills up your stomach but not your heart

Great food, we called and booked our seats and also made our order over the phone so once we got their the food was served straight away, great customer service.
Downstairs seating good for large groups.

Really cheap place and incredible service, but the dishes are inconsistent.

Doner box (£7.99) Absolutely delicious, one of the best doner kebabs I've ever had, fries were nice and the wings were spicy and sweet.

Steak Box (£12.99) I have had this twice. First time around, I was blown away - well done and still so tender? No way. So I got it a second time, still well done. It was NOT tender at all, but was more juicier, so I guess it depends on the day.

Hot Dog (£4.99 but a pound more with Mince Meat) I had to eat this with utensils because the hot dog bun had already collapsed. The mince meat goes so well, the cheese sauce is lovely and the onions gave it a nice crunch. Sausage itself was mid tho.

Seen a lot of reviews saying not to order it via Uber Eats so will not be doing that.

Definitely one of the most bang for buck places I've eaten at so far.

The chicken and meat were very juicy and tender and very flavourful. My colleague really loved the chops but I really loved the wings. Sticky wings lives up to its name.

The unfortunate part is that it's ridiculously impossible to find parking as the restaurant is practically on the dual carriageway.

Ordered on uber eats Chips are over cooked and fillet chicken burger non-existent no chicken in it, Medina sticky wings way too much sauce, wings taste like oil has been there for a month.

Shop forgot to give 4 drinks and one Chips.

Don't order if you want anything decent to eat not worth the money at all.

Had a delivery of mix grill. Quick delivery and hot food. Chicken tikkas were nice but lamb not so much (not tender). Lamp chops were very nice. Nan was the worst part, not freshly made but off the market and reheated. Please improve your nan and make lamb tender.

We were looking for a local restaurant for brunch before our Hotspur Tour.  The food was good. The service was okay. Our hostess was busy watching or playing video games on her phone because the restaurant was pretty empty.

We visited on a match day and the food was great. However table service was a bit chaotic with only one person taking orders and the food took quite some time. It looked like only one person doing the take away and tables food.

This is one of a selection of Subway restaurants in the UK offering a fully Halal menu with no pork on premises. Offers toasted and cold submarine sandwiches, deli-style sandwiches, salads, wraps, crisps and freshly baked cookies and muffins. Many sandwiches have six grams of fat or less. Certified by the Islamic Foundation of Ireland.

This was an absolute rip-off. I ordered a beef steak sub and what I received was basically a lettuce and tomato sandwich with a tiny smear of meat—maybe 10-15 grams at most. This is completely unacceptable for a "steak" sub. The meat was barely even visible, let alone enough for a proper portion.

If I wanted a veggie sandwich drowning in mayo, I could have ordered that for half the price. I feel cheated and incredibly disappointed.

Subway needs to seriously reconsider the quality control on their orders. This felt like a deliberate scam. Not ordering again.

£82 wasted today.

I ordered a double chocolate chip cookie at the store (asked the person twice if it was double chocolate chip) and when I got home it tasted like orange flavour. I did not ask for that and was very disappointed.

The lady in counter was unprofessional and not helpful and using a wrong way to talk to costumer , I asked for a meal deal sandwich without cookie, she charged me with normal price for each item , and she said you didn’t take the cookie as they mentioned on the menu.

Just had the best experience at Pho in Westfield! 🌟 Super friendly service, brilliant atmosphere, and the food? 🔥 Spot on!

The pho was really flavourful, fresh, and comforting — definitely a great bowl. The service was slightly on the slower side, but the staff were still friendly and the food was worth the wait. A nice spot for a warm, tasty meal while shopping. Would come back!

I have tried the Vietnamese  spring rolls that were so tasteless and so terribly done. I would not recommend eating there ditto for the warm wine!!

I recently visited Pho, a restaurant known for its Vietnamese cuisine. They offer a wide variety of dishes, which is great, but I did notice that halal options are quite limited. However, after speaking with the staff, we found out that the chicken is halal and they were accommodating enough to prepare the broth using vegetable stock upon request.

We decided to go with that option, and I have to say, the food didn’t disappoint. The broth was flavorful, light yet rich, and paired perfectly with the tender chicken and fresh herbs. It was a comforting and satisfying meal.

While I do wish they had more halal choices on the menu, the staff’s willingness to adjust the dish to suit our needs was appreciated. If you’re looking for Vietnamese food in Stratford and require halal options, it’s worth having a quick chat with the team — they seem quite flexible.

Would definitely go back to explore more of their menu!

Amazing experience. Food is fresh, clean and tasty! The service is amazing because everyone has such positive energy! Christy and the team will always look after you, with a smile! You can always rely on pho! Highly recommend, always come here for heart warming Vietnamese cuisine.

Our chicken is Halal and cooked separately from other meat. Our chicken broth however is not always Halal, so if you order a chicken soup please ask for veggie stock.

It was a cold day today so I decided to pop in to CHAIWALA in Kingsland road Dalston . I was served by a lovely guy called
ShahidUl . He was friendly professional respectful and genuine . Definitely pop in to say hi and have a chai . I ordered hash brown & karak chai .The venue is clean & smells nice & fresh. Good vibe .

First time trying Chai and do not regret it one bit! It was really flavourful and customer service was top notch! gave the chance to try the flavours before making my choice. I also had the Aloo Paratha and it was amazing! Definitely recommend this place

I had a wonderful experience at Chaiiwala Dalston! The food was delicious as always — fresh, flavourful, and perfectly served. What really stood out, though, was the amazing customer service. Naima was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout my visit. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable.

came here today and was served by Dee, she’s an absolute star and is so kind. So accommodating and sweet for me and my friends after a long day at uni, will definitely be back. Food was AMAZING and the view was lovely. thank you for your amazing food and kindness dee :)

The food here is absolutely gorgeous and everything is plated like it’s ready for a magazine shoot. Definitely a spot for people who appreciate the art of brunch.

A drawback is that it’s a bit tricky to get to from the station, so give yourself a few extra minutes. It’s near a gorgeous canal so the route will definitely be worth it.

I’ve been here a couple of times throughout the years and the quality has been consistent.

Went here as a family of 5 yesterday morning and really enjoyed ourselves! Atmosphere, service and food were 10/10, staff were so accommodating and friendly! We will definitely be back again soon! Thank you Blu Ivy for a lovely morning!

We popped in for a matcha latte on our way to the park and took the opportunity to check out the menu at this cute café. The staff were friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The latte was reasonably priced at £4.50 and well-prepared. The café itself is charming, with a diverse brunch menu that includes halal and vegan options. We will come back soon to try brunch here. It's a lovely spot conveniently located along the Regent’s Canal, near Victoria Park.

Update Sept 2025

We have been a few times since back from holiday. The place is a cute cafe right on the regents canal just off the south west corner of Victoria park. We popped in for a macha a few weeks ago on the way to the Victoria Park market, and the the latte was really good for a reasonable price (around 4.50GBP) so we decided to come back from brunch last week, and as it was good food, we decided to come again this week. They have comfy tables and chairs inside and if the weather is good you can enjoy the canal view from the open terrasse, where they have one covered table. The menu is quite big, my recommendation is the purple latte (it's made with sweet potato powder) and the matcha latte. They have plant based milks available, oat and coconut for sure, but I assume they have almonds too. I normally get mine with coconut milk. The eggs benedict we had last week was very good, the halal turkey bacon complements the eggs and sauce really well, and the french toast does not just look sublime but tastes great too! Most food items are around the 15GBP mark so not expensive given the quality. Both drinks and food are highly recommended. They have very attentive and friendly service too. We have been regurals here since the Ragged School cafe closed for a few weeks.

Nestled right by the canal, this café is an absolute treasure! The setting alone is enough to make you fall in love – so peaceful and picturesque. I recently had brunch here with my girl mates, and it was the perfect spot for catching up and enjoying a leisurely afternoon. What truly stands out is their incredible food. I had the pleasure of sampling the crispy roti with herbs and potatoes, and it was seriously amazing. Perfectly crispy with a delicious filling, it's a must-try! I was served by Dee, who was so lovely and made the experience even better. This place is ideal for a relaxed brunch with friends or a cosy afternoon treat. It's definitely worth a visit!

We popped in recently for a coffee and cake, enroute to the Royal London Hospital.

We were warmly greeted. Ordered at the counter and took a seat. Comfy seats but the tables were very close to each other. Once ready, we collected our coffee and pastry from the counter. There was no table service, as such.

The coffee was hot but very mild in taste ( not much coffee for a cappuccino) and it was served in a non insulated glass. Like a traditional milkshake glass. Very odd and hard to hold until it cooled a little. We weren't sure why they dont just serve hot drinks in a mug or cup & saucer?

We had the lemon cake. It looked delicious, as did the large selection of sweet and savoury offerings on view. Cakes, pastries, salads etc..However, the cake had very little lemon flavour.  I couldn't eat it and believe me, I never leave cake! Really disappointed.

Not the cafes fault but we class it as part of our 'experience'.
We had a 'local' couple sitting next to us who were eating like they were starving and he was constantly coughing, without covering his mouth. They left the cafe at a similar time to us and we caught them throwing litter on the pavement, right beside an empty bin ! I picked them up on this and she then put the rubbish in the bin. Disgusting behaviour. By the state of the street outside, that looks like typical behaviour for people in this area.

There are so many good cafes along this road, ones which we prefer. Unfortunately, we wont return here again but thank you, anyway.

What a cracking wee place. The decor inside is not what you expect from the outside. Loved the colours, the lights, the books... Decent menu with reasonable prices. Half chicken was tasty, as we're the chips. Burger was good, if you don't like a touch of pink in your burger then this place isn't for you. Staff friendly.
Only negative only 1 toilet for a fair few seats.

We tried the diavola pizza. It was freshly made and tasted amazing. The staff were efficient and really friendly. They also had plenty of savoury and sweet options. Would definitely go back for breakfast and brunch. All items on the menu are halal.

Fresh, ready-cut pizza slices that taste amazing — perfect for takeaway. I had a dirty chai latte from the café menu and it was excellent. The selection of baked goods is impressive, and everything looks (and tastes) top quality.

It's been a while since I've been to @gokyuzu_restaurant_chingford I was heading to IKEA and was hungry so Stoped by for a quick fuel up. The prices have definitely gone up, platters are now start at £47..has the food gone better.. No, in my opinion it's actually not as good as it used to be. Pictured is the mix kebab priced at £22, chicken shish, lamb shish, lamb ribs, chicken wings and lamb adana kebab, served with complimentary bread, yoghurt and salad. Venue is great, large spacious, parking and family friendly. All food halal. Alcohol present. I paid for the meal. .

Wow I really recommend this restaurant.  Its busy but great food and service.   Didn't wait long for a table. Be careful when approaching the turn off from the A406 it can be easily missed so slow down or it's a big turn around to get back.
Turkish restaurants have gotten very expensive in recent years so it's something I don't do regularly. For 2 people we paid £103 for a 3 corse meal .

Platters are HUGE and cooked to perfection with amazing flavour.

Nice ambience in the restaurant.
Food was fresh (every single time!).

The menu has a great variety of dishes. Something for everyone.

Really enjoy the food. Frequently return. Great for couples, friends, families and large groups, birthdays etc.

We went out to celebrate a birthday, and everything went just as expected — smooth and enjoyable. The food was great, arriving on time and cooked to perfection.

We requested to sit outside since the weather was lovely. While the staff let us know they couldn’t offer full table service outdoors, they were kind enough to let us sit outside, which we really appreciated.

The service was excellent, with friendly and helpful staff. Honestly, there was nothing to fault — it was a great experience overall and a lovely way to spend a special occasion.

Wok n Roll

I went to Wok n Roll for my 25th birthday with my friends, long story short the food was great but the service was ridiculous and put a dampener on my night.

When we were seated they left x3 menus at the end of the table despite us being a party of 8. This pretty much set the tone for the rest of the evening. We had to ask to order drinks, ask to order food, ask for them to clear the table. It was so bad my friends started clearing the table for them as they left all our plates and then tried to bring out my cake.

We gave them a pack of candles and a ‘happy birthday’ sign for the cake which we asked them to put on the cake. They put one candle on and put it in front of the sign so it wasn’t visible. Honestly, the lack of thought and effort was palpable.

The only positives were that the food was really nice. I had a sweet icy lychee mojito with the prawn tempura and pad see ew which was hot, fresh and tasty. A good portion size for the price.

I’d say go here if you’re looking for a casual night out. Do not go here for special occasions or you’ll be disappointed.

Been here a few times, always order the same items and they’re always a success. It can get busy so booking in advance really helps, it’s a small restaurant so if going with a large group then definitely book in advance. The staff are always very good and take your feedback on the dishes, they have good customer service and have variety of dishes on the menu. The dragon roll is a must if you come here, love it!

My wife and I walked in this evening at around 930pm and there was only 2 groups of people, about 20% of their capacity. First impression was around the decor. Tastefully tranquil and equally chic. We ordered the dim sum (4 pieces), beef nasi goreng and tom yum soup and we felt the food arrived very quickly. Starting with the dim sum, so so tasty. Lots of flavour there on its own. The accompanying sauce/jus had a lovely star anise, tamarind, soy combo of flavours to it. It added some depth to the dim sum. Next the tom yum. Everything you'd expect from a tom yum, the tangy-ness, the umami and the favours of the mushrooms and prawns with an added kick rounding off the flavour profile. That was enjoyable! And what we felt was the main event, the beef nasi goreng. The most tastiest nasi goreng I've had by a country mile. Squeeze a bit of lime on it and it goes so well. Highly recommended, will return.

Food was delicious and very reasonably priced! Appreciated not being rushed and being able to stay for a long time. Would come back again.

The Sushi Bar Brick Lane

I stopped by The Sushi Bar on Brick Lane for a casual Saturday night dinner and tried a few dishes:
•	Chicken Yakisoba 🍜 – Nicely prepared and cooked well, but it lacked a bit of flavour.
•	Chicken Gyoza 🥟 – Delicious, though I personally prefer them steamed or boiled rather than fried. It would be great if they offered a choice in preparation style.
•	Prawn Katsu Roll 🍤 – Pretty decent and satisfying.

Overall, it’s a good spot and worth visiting if you’re after a quick bite at a fair price. Just don’t expect deeply authentic Japanese food prepared by East Asian chefs — it’s more of a casual fusion take.

The restaurant itself is simple, clean, and tidy. When I visited, it was a quiet evening with only a couple of other tables occupied, so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere — though that might just have been the night.

A nice little stop for sushi lovers who want something quick and affordable on Brick Lane.

We looked for Chinese/asian food near our hotel that is halal. The food was delicious and also the staff and the owner are very friendly and you feel very welcomed there.
Also it was very beautiful to watch how respectful they're behaving and talking towards each other. When we come to London again, we will definitely go there again. Greetings from Germany! |

A Hidden Halal Gem Near Brick Lane – Fresh, Flavourful & Family-Friendly

We had a delightful experience at this sushi bar near Brick Lane. Every single item we ordered was fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The crispy chicken bao buns were phenomenal, and the beef noodles were absolutely fantastic.

Service was quick — everything arrived within minutes, straight from the kitchen, piping hot and full of flavour. What really stood out was how accommodating they were with our toddler. All of the staff were super friendly and They kindly offered him multiple strawberries and mochi on the house, which was such a thoughtful touch.

This place is a true hidden halal gem, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Gordon Ramsay Street Burger - St Paul's

One of my last few lunches in London, and thought I would visit Gordon Ramsay's burger chain to give it a try.

Made a reservation for 1 at 11.30am when they opened, and came to an empty shop within the quiet mall.

Ordered the chicken breast with avocado, as I don't take beef, and it was served within 10 minutes.

Fries were great, while it did look like there's a lot of spice and would be a little too salty, i find it manageable though i did take a few gulps along the way.

The burger however, was nothing to shout about. While a chicken breast is understandably hard to impress, I did expect it to at least be unique, but it was very much like something i could prepare at home with a good quality chicken breast.. That said, there was nothing to complain about as it wasn't bad at all.

Overall a decent meal, but not one i would return for, at least for the chicken breast burger.

Food was really good (next level burger has been the best burger I’ve had this far), drinks are very well priced, you get more than a fair amount for the price you pay and isn’t overpriced like a lot of restaurants in London.
Food was warm, served immediately. Fries are still warm after eating the burger, really nicely seasoned as well.
Staff was really nice and welcoming. Came by often to check on us.

Friendly, fast, and delicious. The staff have always been absolutely delightful and incredibly helpful. The food is fast but without question tasty. I personally love the next level smash burger with sidewinder fries. They also had ice cream with an editable cup which was a fantastic surprise.

A brilliant date night where we are looked after with a smile and we know we will love the food. An awesome location and even better service.

The best on this place is the staff. The Manager is an absolute professional. I was there The first time some 3 months ago and the gentleman still remembered where I sit and what I ate. The sweet fries are the best, but all in all you get what you expect.

Our halal options include the JFC chicken burger, our Not So Simple vegan burger as well as our vegetarian Butternut Bhaji burger.

I order a large box meal: egg friend rice and noodles with sweet and sour chicken and crispy chicken for the meat options. For sides I ordered some spring rolls and salt and pepper wings.

On receiving my order I thought it was going to be good 😩😩

The rice and noodles had no taste, lack flavour/ bland and disgusting tbh.
The sweet and sour chicken was definitely not sweet and sour the red sauce ran everywhere and wasn’t appealing at all.

The crispy chicken was passable.

The only thing I enjoyed were the salt and pepper wings and spring rolls which Ill give 5/10.

Avoid eating here as they do not clean their chicken properly. I purchased wings on uber eats and when they arrived the wings were not cleaned and still had bits sticking out of them. They seasoned and cooked the wings but still could not see that there are bits that are still attached to the wing. This is shows that the employees and employer does not care for hygiene and do not care for customers safety.

I ordered home delivery for the first time from this restaurant. The crispy chicken was crispy and tasty too.  Spicy chips were hot too. I found prices reasonable when compared to the quantity. The packaging was very decent.
It's worth giving a try.

I recently visited Oodles, known for its Singaporean and Malaysian style noodle and rice-based fast food. I tried the egg fried rice, Schezuan rice, chili chicken, and teriyaki chicken.

The staff were polite and the restaurant had a nice ambiance. However, I found that the flavors of all the dishes were surprisingly similar and not particularly tasty. Given the high prices, this was quite disappointing.

Overall, my experience was just okay. While the service was decent, the food didn't live up to expectations and wasn't worth the cost.

A solid 4. 4.5 if they did half stars. It didn’t blow me away which is why it didn’t get 5 but it is definitely a good authentic Thai restaurant. There’s parking too which is very helpful and staff were great. One lady worked very hard during the lunch time rush. She never kept us waiting too long, very attentive. Decor is nice and location is good. Not too far from the DLR station either. If it was sunny it would have been a lot nicer but even with the winter weather the atmosphere was nice. Warm, cosy. Drinks were good. Curry was spot on and calamari. Left feeling full. Throughly enjoyed it. Will definitely recommend and would come again

We’ve eaten here dozens of times, sampling most of the extensive menu and cannot fault any of it.

Fabulously tasty, freshly prepared with quality ingredients at prices that won’t break the bank. Very highly recommended.

To get off of the bat the place had
very nice food with an enormous variety of delicious Thai food. They had lunch meal deals that you could get for cheaper however, it was only a select amount of food that you could get for this discount price. If you have never tried Thai food and would like to then this place is a perfect introduction especially coming from somebody like me who has had a lot of Thai food in the past.

The service is amazing with very nice waiters and waitresses. The tables had beautiful intricate wood designs adding to the Thai vibe.

I ate during work and school hours so it is unfair to completely judge the atmosphere especially when it can obviously be a lot busier during peak hours on weekends. Despite that, it still got quite busy and there was a decent amount of chatter and buzz. It was situated right near the river once again elevating the vibe.

incredibly suburban spot. it has a parking lot outside in the middle of Canary wharf. it felt like I was in Long Island LOL and had the appetizer combo which had a way better fried tofu than the actual fried tofu itself and had the Thai iced teas which had a robust flavor that was a bit different from the original one that I normally have and also had the pad noodles from egg which I was aiming for non-spicy and it delivered so it was a bit salty but otherwise flavors were decent. I wouldn't say elsewise and the fuser great for the outdoors and bathrooms are really modern and clean so would recommend

Had a celebratory dinner with my friends. The ambience, the food, the staff, the decor everything was wonderful. The starter platters had way less to offer for the price.
The dinner portions were good.

Bilhana Lebanese Deli

Platter for 2 cost £29.95 dine comes with 2 boneless chicken, 4 grill wings , chicken shawarma, chicken shish with fries & 2 can of drink. Presentation looks very good very decent portion. Taste & texture of chicken shish, shawarma, boneless chicken & grill wings perfectly blended with herbs & spice outstanding. All the grill item perfectly cooked complement well with fries. their chilli sauce was banging. They do excellent grill food best around this area. Staff are very friendly provided us excellent service.

Very bad food quality, everything tates very oily and bland. Ordered a shaktora donna only to find they didn’t put the actual shaktora but used mixed pickles instead. The donna looked more like 1 week old lamb curry, which was drenched in oil and very soggy. Their price is higher than other local shops. Waste of my money!!! Never going back there again.

I'm usually not a big fan of Chicken shawarma, but this place hits differently on this subject. I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by how good the chicken tasted - carefully cut, cooked at the correct temperature, and tasted tender and very succulent.

I also ordered the spicy rice, lamb shish and lamb kofte - to no surprise at all, these also tasted immaculate! I would highly recommend this place to local people and outsiders.

I was also greeted and served by a very polite and well-spoken gentleman who was very prompt with with my order and paid very close attention to exactly how I wanted to have my food prepared.

If you're looking for a nice spot for Lebanese food with fusion, this is the place to order from. Well done to Bilhana, they have aced the food here.
