Traditional and colourful dishes typical of Lebanese mezze

I've been working on an off around Oxford Street for nearly 8 years and I thought I knew of all the halal restaurants in the area. But I came across @alinelebanesekitchen just of Regent's St. Its a cosy little place that I thought was a new open, but it's actually been here for over 2 years. .

I tried a lot of dishes from the mezes menu, I tend to favour small plates rather than mains so here's what I got

🦐 Shrimp Spicy Shrimp £11.50 - sautéed shrimp in a spicy red garlic sauce was light and tasty

Sujuk £8.5 - Wasn't the classic sausage that I'm used to, but meat balls in a tomato sauce .

Cauliflower £8.5 - I favourite dish of mine, when ever I see it on a menu I get it, slightly roasted and possible fried served with pomegranate and tahani sauce

Hommus £7 - Not a dish I like normally, but i actually liked the one here, fresh and tasty.

Sea Bass Tanjine £11.50 - a fish I've never tried before. Baked Seabass in a lemon tahani sauce with fried onions and pine nuts

By this point I was happy but of course I have to try some of the meats and chicken. 🐔 🐑 Mixed Grill £21 - lamb shish, lamb kofa and chicken shish. I was impressed with the cooking of the lamb, first time I've had a lamb shish and its cooked medium, which means the lamb was tender, juicy and soft. The kofa was nice as well and chicken was just Okay. It was served with lovely long grain rice.

Food was fresh and I enjoyed everything I ate. I was surprised that this place has been open for over 3 years, I've walked past it but never noticed it. All food is halal and obviously being central London alcohol is on the menu. Service was good, restaurant holds around 25 covers and every seat taken, just 2 waiting staff managed everything. The restaurant had a upmarket cafe vibe. My meal was complimentary.

⭐️⭐️⭐️🌜: Go If You’re In The Area & And You’re Not Sure What Else Is Around

The food hit the spot however the atmosphere was vanilla. I would recommend for delivery and casual dinner if you’re not sure what else to do

Aline's kitchen was my introduction to your wonderful Lebanese cuisine and was suggested by my friends Michael & Cynthia. When I come again to London I will try to bring other friends to share this good experience. Thank you so much for making me feel welcome!

Very good Lebanese restaurant, great service and atmosphere! All of the dishes we tried were delicious and authentic made with fresh ingredients. Friendly staff and nice ambiance overall.
