Yes, KFC does serve Halal food. The owner of the restaurant said "HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. Senior management has to intervene to save what is left of the reputation of KFC in this rest! I feel sorry for the one person who is handing out the orders. He is not Superman and cannot do dozens of things at the same time. It’s basically a one-man restaurant. No employee cleans the tables. No one throws out the garbage bins. The place is filthy. And the toilet conditions are beneath human standards! It’s a mess in there. And i need not even mention the atomosohere. So enter at your own risk!

I ordered a Fillet Burger Meal and a Zinger Stacker Meal, costing me nearly £18.07 — and honestly, it was an absolute waste of money. The food was far too greasy, the chips were awful, and the burger was a complete joke. On top of that, the place itself was filthy — the floor was dirty, the tables were sticky, and the whole place just felt really unhygienic. Honestly, I’m shocked this passes for acceptable service.

Used the app to eat in. But was given in a take away box. No problem, service waiting time around 3-5 mins (fast). However chicken piece is too small. Chicken fillet is way too salty, had to use ketchup to cover up the taste. No complain on chicken wings apart from it being too small. I suggest you grow the chicken before killing them please. The size and saltiness is unacceptable! 2.5 stars :)

I had a very disturbing experience at KFC Borough High Street. I discovered a foreign object in my food — something that should never have made it past even the most basic hygiene or quality checks. I’ve attached a photo for reference, because frankly, words don’t do justice to how unacceptable it was. I raised the issue immediately. KFC claimed to have conducted a “thorough investigation” within less than 24 hours — an unlikely timeframe for a genuine review of a serious food hygiene issue. I followed up with an email to express my concern and received no response. Instead, they offered a £15 voucher, which I refused. I’m not looking for handouts — I want accountability. The experience was enough to put me off ever eating there again. If this is their idea of high standards, I dread to think what goes unnoticed. This isn’t just disappointing — it’s a potential health risk.
