I've given atmosphere 3 because we were seated downstairs. In hindsight, we should have asked for upstairs. We went for lunch, but it felt like we were there for dinner, because it was in the basement. I noticed another couple asked to be moved, and they were able to cater to them, so I'm disappointed that their default is to sit you in the basement. It was far too late into our meal to ask to be moved. I also read reviews about the strict 1hr 15min time slot. We were however not thrown out, but guessing that was because it was not busy. The food was good, had a kick to it and was full of flavour. Drinks, we felt a little underwhelmed with the size of the cocktails, which seemed really small. Service was relaxed and we had to at times ask for things. But it's a good Sri Lankan restaurant, we didn't leave much of the food so that's a good sign. Chicken curry and mutton roll was a hit and of course the hopper.

Food: The spicy squid as a starter was very good. We also ordered Aubergine Curry paired with white rice. It was recommended but we didn't like the curry as much. Seemed to lack the flavor. Service: Our server was friendly. She made sure we have everything we needed during the meal. Ambiance: Great for casual or formal dining with friends and family. Unique decor. Seating available inside and outside the restaurant. May need reservation on weekends. Value: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food and service.

the food here was phenomenal. i had the jaggery lamb kari, and the lamb was tender and bursting with flavour. it was the right amount of spice and the perfect portion. i also recommend the mango cocktail, as it was delicious! 🥭🍸

Hopper Marylebone is Pure Joy! it was a fntastic dinner at Hopper tonight! My family and I left with the biggest smiles. The food was an absolute dream, a total explosion of delicious new flavours. The Bone Marrow, Peppercorn Chicken, and the Chicken Biryani were all complete showstoppers, even the Chicken Kari. Loved every single second and every single bite. Inshallah they open a branch in Kensington & Chelsea soon!
