Absolutely outstanding food and service from Hyderabad Darbar! The biryani was rich, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, and the chicken dish was full of authentic Hyderabadi flavour. Every bite tasted fresh and made with care. The presentation and portions were excellent, making it perfect for a special occasion.

I ordered biryani for 4 people for £36 and clearly mentioned in the comments that it should be less spicy and less masala. But the restaurant just sent masala without proper rice.

This isn’t the first time—last time I ordered through Deliveroo, they did the same thing. They offered a refund, but I told them I didn’t want money back, just wanted to give feedback.

Now I ordered through Just Eat, and they repeated the same mistake. It was for a family friends’ party, but they completely ruined it. The food was just masala, no proper rice, and people got sick with diarrhea after eating it. We had to throw it all away.

Very disappointed. This is not acceptable.

One of the best biryani I have had in London!
Visited with family and we really enjoyed the mini sizzler and lamb biryani. Food was delicious and fresh. Staff was kind enough to give us some plain rice since the biryani was a bit too spicy for my kids.

Visited with my family after hearing about their biryani and it did not disappoint. We were served by Sahasra, who was very welcoming and made us feel comfortable, even going as far as moving us to a much more comfortable and secluded table so we could enjoy the food and ambience more. We ordered their chicken 65, chicken chilli and Manchurian and it was very very delicious and spicy. All the food was very flavourful. Definitely would visit again :)

We are HMC approved. This means our entire menu and supply-chain is certified Halal according to HMC standards. No traces of pork or alcohol in the store.

Turkuoise - Traditional Turkish Cuisine

The Turkuoise restaurant exceeded all expectations – the food was absolutely great, each dish fresh and flavourful. The atmosphere was brilliant, creating a welcoming setting for a relaxed meal, and the service provided by the staff was second to none; they were attentive, friendly, and effortlessly efficient. Prices were very reasonable, making the overall experience even more satisfying. We’ll definitely be returning.

I visited Turquoise Turkish Restaurant and ordered the Mixed Platter, mainly because it was advertised as including mixed doner, which I really love.

When the food arrived, the doner was missing. After asking, I was told they had run out — but this was not mentioned before ordering. There was no apology, no alternative, and no compensation offered.

This is not the first time it has happened. On my previous visit, the exact same thing occurred — I only found out the doner was missing after the food was served.

It feels misleading to keep advertising doner on the menu when it is repeatedly unavailable. I would not have ordered this dish without it. Very disappointing experience and poor customer service.

An impromptu visit to Turquoise with work colleagues reminded me why I used to be a regular here. We opted for the chef’s special, a generous spread designed for four that not only satisfied everyone at the table but also left us with enough to take home. The drinks menu impressed, with the piña colada standing out as a highlight. While the cold meze was enjoyable though not the best I’ve had, the overall experience was excellent. My colleagues thoroughly enjoyed the meal, and the chilli sauce in particular deserves special praise—easily a 10/10. The service was good however we had to wave the waitress few times for attention and had to ask for more bread. Overall good choice for a last minute decision.

We were out shopping on Green Street on a Sunday and decided to stop for a bite to eat. After a quick Google search, this place came up with good reviews, and since Turkish food is one of our favourites, we decided to give it a try.
The restaurant is situated more towards the top end of Green Street (Romford Road side), which was nice as it felt a little away from the hustle and bustle of the busier stretch. We arrived for an early lunch and were the first customers, which meant we had our pick of seating. We were warmly greeted and the service throughout was friendly and attentive.
We ordered the mixed grill, which came with a generous selection of meats, chicken, wings, mixed doner, served with rice and naan. Alongside the main dish, we were given the traditional accompaniments of hummus, tzatziki, salad, and sauce dips. The portion size were good, the food was well cooked, and everything was full of flavour.
To finish, we had Turkish tea, which was nicely presented. The food was reasonably priced compared to other Turkish restaurants we’ve visited.
The restaurant itself was very clean, with tidy bathrooms and even baby changing facilities, which makes it a good choice for families.
Overall, it was a really good experience, and we would happily return the next time we’re in the area.

The food was fantastic, and the staff were warm, attentive, and welcoming. It’s a wonderful restaurant for families & large parties and a great choice. Highly recommend for everyone to visit here. 👌

SMASH

The Double Smash was well-made and tasted delicious. The spicy chicken burger was also great, with generous portions of chips and fresh ingredients.

Got take away late at night. Took a while for the food to become ready. Customer service was great. The restaurant was nice and clean. The cola is tasty.

I found the smash burger not as tasty. The chicken burger was really good. Needs more spice. Get naga in there.

I can't talk about the atmosphere or service because I ordered the food.

Smash burger was amazing the meat was juicy and melted in the mouth. The bun wasn't soggy. It was genuinely a 10/10 burger.

The spicy chicken burger was definitely spicy but not too spicy enough for your tongue to tingle and the chicken was juicy and not chewy it was perfect. The only thing I would say is could've been crispier but that might be because it was delivered.

Fries are perfect crispy and fluffy and perfectly seasoned. No complaints.

The chicken strips were 5/10 they were crispy and had a great flavour but it was very dry and stringy. I think it may have been over fried so if it wasn't it might be a lot nicer.

The chicken bites were amazing, great flavour and the chicken was juicy they did that one properly it was amazing.

Chilli cheese bites standard perfectly cooked and the cheese was melted.

The Algerian sauce is really nice it's like a spicy mayonnaise with good heat though but not hot enough for spice lovers. But will be enough for your average spice eater. Good flavour.

Overall, I'd definitely eat from here the food was really good.

Tried this last time via UberEats and burgers were good. Decided to try having in today.

We got the smash burger meals amongst us, one with nacho fries, cheesy fries and normal. One portion of Korean Fried Chicken to share between us. The sides were good, crispy chips with good portions of sauces and toppings which enhanced the flavours.

I got the double smash burger, that was full of flavour. I enjoyed the burger and wasn’t disappointed.

Good friendly service, ordered food and came out fairly quick. Plenty of seating area inside. Overall pleased with the experience. Try it out if you haven’t already.

The customer service was very good and a nice place to sit and eat. It was loud or dark and just overall a comfortable dining experience. The staff were friendly and knew what they were talking about and had a good variety of items on the menu.
The smash burger was actually very tasty. It had a nice balance of flavours and didn't feel dense at all. The loaded fries were nothing fancy which is a shame and I believe didn't have enough sauce or toppings on it.
The chicken burgers 1 being the spicy chicken and the other the El Mexicano nothing special and actually very disappointing as they were frozen chicken burgers you would find in the local park burger stall.
Wouldn't say there was any special taste too it and wasn't the spice we would come to expect from a spicy burger these days.

Edit : Never again! Avoid at all cost. Absolutely shocked by the service tonight. The 2 hijabi ladies didn't even offer any costumers service, were very slow and messed up our order trying to charge us for chips which they didn't bring.

an amazing place to get some lamb chops and grilled chicken. The chicken was grilled properly and the lamb chops were juice and seasoned well. The place was clean and the staff was friendly and gave good service. Definitely an underrated place that deserves more stars and customers as the prices and quality are amazing. Strongly recommend for their food and hospitality.

I ordered a naan for pick-up honestly, it was a terrible experience. When I got my order, the naan was completely burnt. On top of that, the lady at the counter had a very rude attitude — no apology, nothing. Lady is so rude to every other customer. Definitely not coming back here.

The restaurant has a unique blend of Pakistani and Indian cuisine, and it's always bustling with people, even late into the night. Although we had to wait a bit longer than expected for our food, it was worth it. The grilled chicken was particularly delicious and tasted fresh and well-cooked. In my opinion, it's even better than some of the bigger chain restaurants nearby that claim to specialize in doner kebabs.

Best food and very attentive service. Can't recommend enough this place. Me and my whole family keep coming back to this place. The prices are far better than anywhere else.

I have placed lamb haleem order in uber eats by paying 11£ and you know  the haleem what they serve me is like lentil soup which doesn’t even have lamb in it even im searching in it

Khana Khazana (Halal Restaurant/ UptonPark)

Very affordable, quick service and easy to locate restaurant in Upton park with pictures and dessert too. It was clean, brightly lit and spacious. We had a family meal stop as it was raining outside. We were with a stroller and was able to access and exit easily. The only down side was the toilet smelt quite bad like sewer and was beside the kitchen. The staff were friendly and I would recommend. You order and pay at the counter then they will bring your food to you.

I had lunch today at Khana Khazana, Upton Park, and it was an excellent experience! The restaurant was very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. The lamb curry and butter chicken were top class. The butter naan and garlic naan were soft and tasty, and the mango lassi was refreshing. The poppadoms were delicious as well. Highly recommended — one of the best places for authentic Indian/Pakistan/Bangladesh  food in Upton Park!

The food is incredible, particularly the Lamb Bhaditarka. I have nothing to fault with the food.

I do however have an issue with not being able to get a glass of tap water, which is legally obligated under the licencing law. This certainly put a dampener on what is a decent restaurant.

The restaurant needs to be reminded that under their licensing agreement, they have to serve free water upon the request of a customer.

It’s a restaurant, you would pay restaurant price but won’t get any restaurant services.
It runs more like a fired chicken shop.
Once you enter  the restaurant you’ve to go straight to the counter, someone would point you to empty table. Once you’ve have decided what to order again you have to go to counter order your food & pay first then after someone would bring your food to table.
First thing you would notice is the jewellery display in-front of the main entrance!
I think this the first restaurant i ever saw that sell jewellery besides food !!
Taste wise food was decent but definitely not worth the money

Been here a couple of times. Always full. The last time I went, we ordered at the till where the owner I assume was teaching her kid how to handle the till. A young boy who was trying hard but did slow down in a sense. Food came prompt and even though they got a dish wrong we said nothing. We got chicken tikka biryani which was nice. Achari chicken which was delicious. Chana daal which was okay but had too much herbs in it. And we got vegetable curry which was also ok. Poppadum’s were crispy but left a slight weird after taste. Garlic nana was also good as most are. We managed to share between three people and still had leftovers to take. Overall the food and place is not bad but the waiters do purposely have tunnel vision and tend to forget if you ask for anything like salt or tissues. Thats the reason for a lower rating. Toilets were ok and clean but slightly cramped but not a big issue.

Last weekend my wife and I were looking for a new breakfast spot and after a bit of searching she found @querkycafe
Which happens to be Halal so we decided to give them a go. They have 3 locations so we decided to visit the closest one to us in Forest Gate. 

When we got there I was a little surprised to find such a small cafe.. However they told me to walk down the side which lead us to a lovley secret indoor garden dining area. 

The menu has the Classic English breakfast as well a low carb Keto Breakfast option as well and there's also some brunch options like chicken N waffles. 

We went for a Big Breakfast which was actually enough for the 2 of us, all fresh and well made in particular the hash brown. You can also swap out items, we swapped the turkey rashers for grilled Halloumi.

Been a while since I had chicken N waffles and I enjoyed this dish. I was expecting something premade but the waffle and chicken tasted fresh and homemade. 

Ordering and payment is done via your phone and the system worked well. The staff were genuinely friendly and service was good. 

There's no fruit juices on the menu and no eggs Royale etc style dishes but, they have smoothies and other options. 

I'll definitely be back again. All food halal. No alcohol. I paid for my meal and was not invited.

Querky Cafe

Went here with my husband and 2 kids, they have quite alot of food options and kids menu also. The kids pancake portions is very good, they have two pretty good sized pancakes. The service was great, they gave colouring for the little ones, the cafe looks small from the entrance but they have more seating at the back through a side entrance. Food quality was good and average prices, the only reason why I gave 4* is because my husband asked for a recommendation for a cold drink that the waitress said is very nice, but to be honest it wasn’t, also I had an issue with the taste of one of the items on my meal, but they were very accommodating and changed it for me. Overall I would recommend this cafe.

We ordered two Indian Breakfasts. One veg and the other non veg. Also a full English breakfast.  The chili paneer in the veg breakfast and butter chicken in the non veg breakfast were both very tasty.

The drinks we ordered (both hot and cold) were of high quality.

The food was served within the time range given and all the staff members were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Definitely recommend for both small and big groups.

Came here on a Saturday morning and was spoilt for choices with the breakfast options nearby.

I have another Querky Cafe next to me as well and too eager in checking it out.

I got a big breakfast and an almond croissant with 2 different types of coffees.

I must admit, I was impressed with the quality and service. The staff are very friendly and very welcoming. They got some good staff here.

They offered the garden seating which we weren’t aware of and it’s an amazing space!

Will be definitely coming back here again.

Waited 90 minutes for my food for it to be the most bland cold food ever. The bacon tasted like plastic the toast was just a slice of bread thrown into the bottom of the box. The sausage was completely mushy inside and There was a hair on top of my hash brown. I’ve never made a negative review on any store so this store has earned thr privilege after ordering out thousands of times to be the worst of the worst

I recently visited this café, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite spots. The atmosphere is so welcoming and cozy, perfect for relaxing with a coffee or catching up with a friend. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel at home the moment you walk in.

The food is fresh and full of flavor, with plenty of thoughtful options on the menu. I especially loved how everything felt homemade and made with care.

It’s the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and enjoy the moment – a real gem in the area. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re nearby! 🌿☕🍰

Food: After much deliberation (there’s a lot on the menu!) we decided to order the Tower Burger and Blue Cheese Beef Melt. Both burgers, to our dismay, were cooked too much and were quite dry. The Lamb Chops were good and so was the Mac n Cheese. In term of Cheesy Chips, we prefer cheese sauce rather than sprinkled cheddar melted in the oven/microwave. The Mocktails were our favourite, the Pina Colada was especially tasty.
Service: service was good but a bit slow.

This place used to look good and now after the refurb it looks great. The staff were very attentive and the food was amazing.

Great choice for special dates, business dinners and occasions were you want to make an impression and just have great experience.

A very good spot for steak!

My first time at Elvet, on a very special occasion. The staff were welcoming, friendly and informative.

🥩We ordered a platter of 3 steak cuts and they were all better than the last! Perfectly cooked and seasoned.

🍤The prawn tempura starters were tasty while leaving room for the steak. But lacking in presentation.

🍹Mocktails were absolutely delicious and ice cold.

🍨Desserts could be more elevated too. The tiramisu served in a flowerpot was theatrical but not that amazing.

A nice interior but the seating style and table could be a little more elevated.

I will be visiting again for the steak. The other menu items could be more tasty and better presented.

I went with my husband and our two sons. They are extremely good. The meat was very delicious, and the drinks were great. We especially appreciated Toni’s attention to our youngest son and to us. I highly recommend it. We will definitely come again. Love.

Came here back after the new refurb. We didn’t think anything was wrong with internal decoration before. Happy to say we came here for my Dads birthday and food was amazing. We ordered mocktails, a burger and a house special steak. We will be definitely coming back!

Elvet Steakhouse London is on another level everything from start to finish was perfect! The moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm welcome and the place instantly feels special. The atmosphere is classy but still comfortable, with beautiful lighting and a lively vibe that makes you want to stay for hours.

The food? Absolutely incredible. The steak was cooked exactly how I wanted juicy, tender, and full of flavour. The sides were fresh and perfectly seasoned, and every bite felt like it was made with real care. The presentation was also on point every plate looked like something from a high-end magazine.

The drinks deserve their own shoutout. I had one of the best mocktails I’ve ever tasted full of flavour, refreshing, and presented so beautifully it was almost too pretty to drink (almost!). It paired perfectly with the meal and made the whole experience even better.

Service was outstanding attentive without being pushy, and they made sure everything was just right for us. You can tell the staff take pride in making customers happy.

Overall, Elvet Steakhouse isn’t just a place to eat it’s an experience. Perfect for a special night out, a celebration, or just treating yourself to something amazing. I’ll 100% be coming back!

Brown Sugar Bubble Tea

My first choice Brown Sugar, in Green Street, always 5* The team are always super friendly and attentive. Drink is always to perfection and we’re never disappointed. Literally the best Bubble Tea for miles. If you’re looking for a friendly with amazing service, Bubble Tea this is the place!

Went to T4 and learned what a 5 start Bible tea place looks like. This ain't it.

Their regular milk is it's like drinking melted ice cream. Way too sweet. Their barista was not helpful at all in August is through the order. The response beeds look like they've been through a garbage disposal.

To top it all off, we were waiting ~15+ minutes for our order.

Genuinely amazing. Not someone who likes boasting about businesses but flavour boy that flavour hit hard. Drink just travels into your belly and sits in the places the food wasent able to Tetris on. 10/10

The shop is amazing! I ordered a mango bubble tea with mango boba; it was so refreshing and accurate to the actual fruit! The drink also had real mango pieces which added a nice bite. The staff were very friendly and polite. Would definitely recommend visiting here.

Been to loads over the last few year, but have to say, Brown Sugar is in my top rankings, i mostly have Golden tea as its my local, but tried so many others Brown Sugar and Golden Tea is my favourites. Keep up the good work next am in East side will defo visit.
