Real Beijing 風味食堂 Chinatown

What a delight! Real Beijing is always my go-to spot in Chinatown for hot pot and authentic Northern Chinese food. My favourite are the skewers: spice level is always on point, nice and crispy. But everything else is perfect too, never had an issue. Unlimited hotpot is also reasonably priced given the good quality of their food. Staff are friendly and very helpful, they are always willing to help when we needed suggestions (the menu covers a good range). Been there for years and more to come!

I was really excited to try the hotpot. I ended up choosing the half clear and half spicy broth. The clear one was tasteless and the spicy one tasted too much schechuan pepper but wasn't as spicy as I expected, nor flavoursome. Food was fresh which is positive, but I would expect better broths because that's where the flavour is supposed to be. It was also quite expensive (30 pounds/per) and for that reason I don't think it's worth another visit.

Decent food, the squid and noodles were nice. Good place for a group though as the hot pots are quite good for sharing, and will have to try that next time.

Ate here last night with a group of friends and had a great time! The food is very authentic and there is a huge range available - you can either choose the popular hot pot or order individual chinese dishes. We tried the beef skewers, stir fried cabbage, sweet & sour fish, as well as the beef hot and sour dish; really generous portions and delicious!  They also stock a really interesting mead drink here called 'Stoneforge' which we all ordered to try, and then ended up ordering another round :) definitely recommend trying it if you're stopping by!

We had a decadent Chinese New Year feast here, complete with the whole steamed fish tray, noodles, and lotus with sweet rice for dessert.

The fish is an absolute must. It comes in a big silver tray with heating below so it stays warm and stewing while you eat. The fish is tender and flavorful, having soaked up all the decadent chiles and spices. You can also order add-ins to include in the stew such as potatoes, bamboo, tofu… whatever you’re in the mood for.

The lotus stuffed with sweet sticky rice was a first for me but provided a nice light finish to the meal that was just the right balance of sweet and fresh.

Also, if you’re directionally challenged like me, yes the restaurant is the one with all the hotpot signs in front! We saw many people doing different styles of hotpot as well as grilled skewers which we will definitely be returning for.

All of our beef, chicken and lamb dishes are Halal.

Real Beijing

Managed to walk in a get a table with no wait yesterday. I had brunch at a place near by but it didn't hit the spot. So being the fatty I am I went to @dishoom and got the lamb biryani. Such a good choice, my first time I've had it. I found it delicious. Lamb cooked perfectly, moist fluffy rice, spices all balanced out and really flavoursome. Definitely a top biryani and for less than a tenner

Thank you for such a lovely pre-theatre dining experience.

I booked in advance and requested a quiet spot as my guest wore hearing aids. We were seated in a lovely quiet spot by the window. The venue is easy to find. The restaurant is huge, the decor resembles a British brasserie. The serving staff are very kind. They are cautious to all food allergies. The waitress was very attentive and smiled lots. The menu is extensive. Fresh tap water is provided without asking. The food is served quickly and piping hot.

I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. It is family and disabled friendly.

The best Indian food I’ve ever had! Every dish was packed with flavour. You could really taste every ingredient put into the dishes. The roti wraps were well worth the try as they are so unique and easy to eat. Samosas we’re also a must try. So fresh! I’d highly recommend eating here if you can find a table!

Perfect place to come with friends! Everything was family style so you get to try a little bit of everything. Food was really delicious and so were the drinks. The wait can be long so be prepared to wait in line for about 30 min during dinner time. 10/10 would recommend!

Since I have no much experience with Indian food, my judgment is not too trustworthy. I found most of the dishes too spicy, which prevented me to enjoy the dinner (it is highly likely my fault I am not used to this spiciness). There were only 2 kind of curries together with a few Iranian dishes,  which surprised me as the restaurant is advertised as Indian. The portion are also a bit small, whereas I have always found them abundant in other restaurants. About the location: were seated downstairs and the smell of incense was a bit too strong, the light was too soft so reading the menu was not easy. The service was good. I believe there are better places than this to eat Indian food, although there was a very long queue outside so...there must be a reason I do not grasp.

What can I say? It was one of the best experiences in any restaurant I've been to. Table booked for 11:30 so I got to try the breakfast and lunch menus. Food was absolutely delicious and the ales they have go perfectly with the food. Everything was well cooked and the service was exceptional.

Our lamb and chicken is Halal. Alcohol is served. Bacon is served on our breakfast menu. Ask a member of staff for details.

Buns From Home

Seeing them prepare the vanilla custard buns was exceptional! The buns were filled with cream and the pastry was meticulously separated in layers and layers.

We had a cinnamon bun and a vanilla custard bun; both were very delicious. Not too sweet but full of flavour. The texture of the pastry was one of a kind!

If you’re walking to Covent Garden from Piccadilly, you will walk past the smell of Buns from home. Just like how you baked a cake in the kitchen and it fills the room. Amazing! Really a good treat for yourself!

Finally managed to try Buns From Home for their delicious pastries/ buns and it was worth the wait! We had the Custard bun and the Cardamon bun, only then to find after paying that they had savoury buns too … So we also got the Spinach and Feta (which was a nice blend of sweet and savoury). Will definitely be returning to try the other flavours available. Friendly and quick service, looks forward to visiting again soon!

This little bakery has amazingly delicious buns! First I went for the classic bun but they were sold out so I got a cardamom bun that tasted heavenly. 10 minutes later I came back for the freshly baked classic cinnamon buns:-) All recommended! They have vegan buns too!

Please you can not miss this place if you are a cinnamon roll fan. I had the original flavour, it’s so tasty, the smell, the texture… all perfect! The dessert bun is bigger than the roll, my friend tried both of the cheese cake and the tiramisu flavour and recommend the tiramisu. The staff are very friendly as well. Will definitely return 😊

The bun with vanilla custard was truly exceptional. There was so much delicious cream inside and after a couple of hours the dough was still crusty. I definitely recommend this lovely spot

The only two buns flavours on our permanent menu that aren’t vegetarian are our ham and cheese bun and our tiramisu bun (pork gelatine). We are currently trying to switch over to fish gelatine but it’s proving harder than we expected. None of the permanent flavours contain alcohol. Occasionally, weekend specials will contain one or both of these ingredients, in which case we will be sure to mention this on the instagram announcement.

I'm not a fan of hot dogs but went to China Town with some friends that really want to try it, and oh my!! It was incredible. My only disappointment is that my partner and I shared it and didn't get one each.
We got the potato corn dog, and it was incredible. Every time I am ever near one, I will always make sure to pop in!!

I’ve always wanted to try this Korean hot dog and I can say I was not disappointed. It was really good. I got the potato hot dog with the buldak mayo [the best sauce for the hot dog in my opinion] TWICE; I went back to get another one. The batter is really light and crunchy and has a really subtle sweet taste.

So I went for the original and Doukbokki of cheddar. I have to say it definitely satisfies my hunger cravings it was the right consistency of dough, not too cakey. The sausage was nice and it was crispy on the outside. The sauces on top were all really nice, went for a trio of their house mayo, mustard and ketchup. I thought the original would have cheese in it but it must have been another item on the menu as it was just sausag, it wasn't the clearest. It came pretty quickly but I saw they are constantly being made and piled up and then someone just makes them to order. These should be eaten immediately because I walked out and tried to find a small corner outside by seven dials and it was luke-warm at that point. The doukbokki with cheddar was nice, didn't quite know exactly what it was but the rice pieces were like gnocchi texture shaped like penne pasta and I think it was kimchi style sauce and vegetables. Kinda spicy and didn't finish it.

I'd definitely go again and try the other hotdog item WITH CHEESE and with potato pieces. I think it's also fairly priced too.

It's fairly congested inside and awkward area to stand waiting for your food but they make it work pretty well. Also staff are super friendly!

Decent, but definitely overhyped. Waited for about 20 minutes to order, which I anticipated. I ordered the potato dog and the original corn dog. Both were not as savoury as I excepted. It’s probably worth a try just for the experience!

Tried corndogs for the first time in my life and really loved them! They are super filling and delicious. The queue is usually quite long and you have to wait for a while to get your corndogs so would not recommend if you are in a rush.

We are Halal certified and serve a range of delicious Halal treats including our signature chicken corn dog. All of our Halal products are prepared and cooked seperately to our non-Halal products.

Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream (Chinatown London)

What a hype and what a queue for this ice cream parlour. My friend gave it two stars but I think it deserved 3 stars. The flavour of Ube ice cream was very mild. Not as flavourful as I expected.  I enjoyed the toasted Pandesel ube ice cream but not enough to go back for second at £6.50 a piece. Overall, it was nice to try it once just to see what it was all about.

It was pretty good. A little taste from home but I must admit that the ube was a little too sweet for my taste. My Australian friends loved it. It’s mostly crowded so expect long waiting time. Would probably come to try other products.

Ube ice cream is too sweet for my liking and lacking taro flavour. The bun is plain and a bit dry. Definitely not the taro flavour in my favorite 香芋脆皮 back in childhood…. Super busy and crowded on a Saturday afternoon.

It is a good place, good environment, a bit small but not a big deal for me to be honest. Long queue so get ready to wait for a bit. Some things are good prices and some others are a bit overpriced. Overall the service is straight forward, order at the iPad/front and wait to get your call.

Really delicious and tasty desserts! The bun was still warm and the ice cream was delicious! Really sweet dessert, just what I wanted! I just think the space is a bit too small, that would be nice to have more place to sit. I’ll go back for sure!

Koshari Street

Incredible flavors, simple decor, cozy interior

My only regret about this place is I wish they were bigger and had more space inside! The flavor & spice combinations are incredible and feel homey (having Egyptian & Lebanese family, this feels just like something they would've made for me)

It's a cute, cozy place, and you really can't go wrong with any of their options. I'd very gladly come again to try more of their options and can't wait for next time!

My first time trying this famous street food. Brilliant. Tastes amazing and the spicy tomato sauce adds a real punch. Very simple dish, will try to recreate at home. Limited seating inside restaurant. Pleasant service

I was walking along the street and I turned to look inside it because it had a Chipotle type vibe. Said eat like an Egyptian so I wanted to give it a try. Tried the plant power koshari and the classic koshari, and the woman working was incredibly helpful with the sauces and vege options! I will definitely return the ingredients were so fresh!

Absolutely delicious koshari— a must try if you haven’t had it before! I’ve had koshari in Cairo and homemade by my friend from Egypt. So glad to find Koshari Street so I can enjoy this in London!

We had two classic koshari then added chicken and beef each , the taste was similar to the original Egyptian dish except hot sauce that was missing ,

Flocafe Espresso Room

Large portions for each plate: quesadillas are continental-style so lots of chicken but not really spicy; French toast needed more syrup but it's double the size you get elsewhere. They do ibrik coffee, good deal at 3 quid including cardamom spice.

Service may be slow, especially for food so be patient. The place is clean and quiet with more tables downstairs. In conclusion, value brunch bar recommended to those who are not in a rush and eat more than average brunch portions.

Cozy Cafe with good pancakes!

As I stepped inside the cafe, I was instantly captivated by the shelf lined with an impressive collection of books, which created an ambiance that was perfect for unwinding and relaxing.

I decided to try the chicken quesadilla. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. While it was okay, it wasn't exceptional, and it lacked the burst of flavors that I had hoped for. Despite the quesadilla's shortcomings, I wasn't too disappointed because I knew I still had the pancake to look forward to.

When the pancake arrived, I could smell the sweet cinnamon aroma wafting from the plate. The first bite was a revelation. The pancake was light and fluffy with just the right amount of sweetness, and the cinnamon flavor was delightfully pronounced. The dish was served with a generous dollop of sweet cream and sauce with honey that elevated the pancake's taste to new heights.

The cold freddo cappuccino was delicious, great tasting food and good portions.

Service was good and definitely friendly employees. The wait for the food was a bit longer than expected, but the food was worth it.

We went on a quiet Sunday Afternoon. The lady server was really nice to ask our order from the table instead of us queuing at the till. I had their signature iced biscolato - good for non-coffee drinkers. Very chocolatey and creamy. They have their own version of tiramisu. The texture and taste is leaning towards a cheesecake but I am an not an expert on Tiramisu so don’t take my word for it. Nevertheless this place is worth a try. Also, the place is very accessible from chinatown so it is a great place for coffee and dessert after lunch.

We were there on a busy Saturday lunch time and while there was only one staff, she was extremely polite and remained friendly throughout the service. There was a delay in our food but it was worth the wait, my forest fruit pancake was beautifully presented and tasted just as good.

We confirm that all pork items are substituted with non pork items i.e turkey bacon (Flocafe do not actually sell any pork dishes) and these items are from suppliers with halal certificates.

One of the best steak I've ever had in London.
No words in the world would make justice to the flavors that you get the honor to enjoy here.
For sure it's a place not to be missed and should definitely be on your bucket list.
The service was outstanding and I'd like to say a big "Thank you" to Maria, our waitress, she was always there wen needed and never intrusive.
If you want one steak, only, in your life, this is the place to have it.
Highly recommend!

Food is good. Steaks are very well cooked. The other Macellaio restaurants are nicer (feel more authentic). Prices for meat range from £10-£15/100grams. If you are a meat lover, the final bill can get fairly high!

If you love meat, be careful not to get too greedy, as prices are per 100g, so you can end up paying over £100 for one steak. It is a once in a year experience as final bill was too much. The starters were delicious so if you want to stick to starters only, you will be fine. Steak tartare was amazing, truffle chips as well. It is a great place, good service, food, atmosphere and all but I would still go to a really nice all you can eat style steakhouse and pay much less for good quality food. But if you want to indulge on a special occasion, this is the place!

Went there on the 19th of Feb with my girlfriend. We managed to get a table at short notice and boy was it the best choice we made.

We were served by Angela, who was incredibly friendly and helpful and she made our stay very welcoming.

The food was delicious and the wine to go with it was superb. Will definitely be back again when we're next in London

First time visiting Macellaio as they have the option for two halal steaks on their menu. Unfortunately one wasn't available so we could only have the T-bone which was superb. We opted for oysters and the burrata and pesto salad for starters which were nice. The T-bone was melt in the mouth delicious. We had these with the truffle fries which were just the right amount of crispness to softness. We followed this with the raspberry millofoglie - really nothing to write home about or worth getting again. We were looked after by Catherine who was very lovely and just showed the right amount of attentiveness - great service from the door on arrival to leaving. Would I go again is the key? Probably not until they have more halal options on the starters side. Worth a try though.

Food was surprisingly good so worth the price but the chicken drumstick 😓it’s like those packet of crisps. It’s just air and breading but it’s bursting with flavours would recommend it. Oh make sure to wait downstairs because they won’t text you when your food is ready. We thought we would get a messaged from our phone since they asked for phone number in the kiosk 😂. Toilet is cleaned too. Definitely worth the visit.

My absolute favourite Korean style chicken wings! It's not drenched in sauce, the batter is perfect and crispy (even after 2 days in the fridge!), I always go for the spicy!
And the battered green beans *drool*! I love u Wing Wing.
Lunch deal is good value. Great hangout on the second floor overlooking the busy street.

Friendly service, but you can also self serve which is great and have a variety of flavours. The wait is roughly 10mins + and you're given a buzzer to collect your order whether eating in or taking away. The chicken comes out hot (fresh to order) and crunchy and are quite tasty. The wings are bigger than average but I wouldn't say they're life changing however, if you want something tasty and satisfying wing wing is a good shout.

5 stars for the food. HANDS DOWN the BEST halal Chicken burgers in the UK. The service and everything else leaves much to be desired though.

I ordered at 13:00 on a Saturday and they only had 1 person serving, despite the busy time and location of the shop. The food tables also needed cleaning up.

They're clearly understaffed here, but MY GOD is the food worth it!

We bought two mixed chicken boxes to celebrate for the end of year but one of the boxes didn’t have any paper underneath the chicken and we ordered extra hot but there wasn’t any sauce and they were all dry. They all stuck towards the bottom of the box and I was really disappointed. The first time we had a lot of sauce and it was good so this was our second time buying. We bought two expecting it to be as good as the previous one but it wasn’t. I never write reviews but today is the first time as I am very disappointed.

Really a nice surprise. Just walking around in China town, after a long time and decided to stop and try something in this place, after hearing 2 couples talking so good about the food they had here. Went for the classic things, fried rice, noodles, squid, calamari.. and the price was quite convenient as well to be in the heart of the city.  Recommended 100%

Went for my 2nd time last night and kept the same good experience as before. They have plenty of options to choose from. Their small bites menu has portions that suit my partner's appetite so that's always a good to know when you choose restaurants. Ordered individual meals and ended up sharing with a friend who came along. Couldn't finish it all as it was a lot of food to pick from. Dishes came promptly and their staff were very attentive at all times

The restaurant opened at noon and there was already a queue. The food did not disappoint at all. Dim sum was one of the best that I’ve had in Chinatown. 🥢

I enjoyed every single dish that I ordered. Between the two of us, we had 6 dim sum plus jasmine tea for two. It came to £39.

The service was typically efficient and mildly abrupt. The main waiter was rushing here and there as often the case in a Chinese restaurant.

However I will definitely come back again and again for dim sum/yum cha.

Had quite high expectations on this restaurant since the reviews are quite decent and the pictures look good, the food does look good as everyone can see by the pictures but the flavour wasn't the greatest, have eaten in many other places in Chinatown and some might not look so "instaworthy" as you may call it but much more tasty than this one. Besides that, in the table next to us there was a group of 3 that were just too noisy for us to enjoy our meal. Don't recommend it.

The food was so so. Some waiters do not have much knowledge of their food. For example, the fish dish was way too spicy. When ordering, the waiter said it is only a little bit spicy, children should be able to eat. The xiao long bao wasn't great. The crispy suck salad was not bad.
Definitely recommend to make booking if you want to go there.

My husband fancied a last minute trip up to Chinatown on Thursday. I was reluctant to join because we hadn’t booked anywhere, I HATE queuing for food and I knew it was going to be super busy because of the Jubilee Bank Holiday.

Post husbands charm I agreed to come out. Regretted it tbh.

@rasasayang_london was closed for an hour when we arrived (hubs and everyone else it seems loves this place, I’m a little on the fence). After accepting defeat we settled for this place.

Mixed platter - the satay was burnt to a crisp and clearly reheated (I think all of the food was tbh) it was black (pic 3) the only thing that saved this was the chicken wings which were a strong 7/10

Noodles - arrived room temp but overcooked, chicken was literally thrown on top, only flavour I could taste was soy sauce I got excited when I bit into a piece of garlic and paid basically £5 extra for 2 overcooked prawns - 4/10

Nasi goreng wasn’t to my taste.

Definitely don’t think I’d return for the main menu, I have seen some good reviews on the unlimited hot pots so may return to try that.

The food it self was quite ok. The dessert, even trying second time was bed. Dry and an horrible taste. I really don't recommend, if that was a best Indonesian food representation, I will never have again.

Was.looking for a halal restaurant in Soho and came across Nusa Dua. I cam honestly say at first I was a bit sceptical as it didn't look very welcoming. To my surprise the food was delicious.My friend and I decided to go for the set menu. This was a 3 course meal. For £25 you get soup, spring rolls, a variety of dishes, rice, and dessert plus a drink. We were served by yuhanis (not sure if I spelt that right 😊) He was very welcoming and very helpful. I can't wait to visit again. If you are looking for a good night, eat as much as you like then I highly recommend you visit.

I’ve been here twice now over the last 2 years and it’s not been ideal either time. Something about the food if a bit off in terms of flavour. I’ve tried multiple dishes and it’s just not that great but there are some highlights such as them having a lot of options to choose from and that they also serve halal.

I give it three stars because on our last visit, my friend sent back the chicken dish as the chicken was definitely not fresh. They replaced it with a different dish. We let them choose any replacement as long as the meat was fresh so she swapped it with a beef version which was fresh. I just don’t know why that had to happen to begin with. Chicken is a cheap protein, and for the price you pay you would expect them to cook it when you order it. I’m not sure if I’ll come here again but I’ll be sure to pick carefully if I do.

Stay clear of this restaurant. My group ordered 3 dishes. Nasi goreng for £12.80 (which was only as big as my rather small hand), Ayam sambal (sambal chicken) for £18.80, and Sop Buntut for £18.80 (ox tail soup).

The fried rice was bland and not even Indonesian. Rather it's Chinese, and I don't think the Chinese would call this a plate of fried rice either.

The Ayam sambal should be called Chicken with chili oil. This is not the ayam sambal that I have always known. Practically, this mis-labelled dish is a blasphemy to Indonesian cuisine.

Finally, the sop buntut was okay, I guess.. I have never had an Indonesian sop buntut before. So, I cannot comment much. Nonetheless, the ox tail soup was uninspiring to the bland side.

For context, I came here during Christmas day 2022 and this was the only restaurant without long queue around the area. This should be a signal for a bad restaurant. But, we gave them a chance and tried dining in anyways.

When seated, we were given a special menu for Christmas. Understandably, the prices was marked up to the moon. However, reading the other reviews in hindsight, the prices was horrendously expensive to begin with. On top of that, we still need to pay £6.3 for the service charge, a daylight robbery considering the service we got.

It was one of my favorite spots to have hotpot however the venue needs a renewal.
The chili chicken broth used to be so flavorful but now it’s just okay.
The toilet was absolutely horrible. Taps were out of order and the toilets were so dirty. One of the lady literally wee on the floor(there was a puddle on the floor), when I walked into it. Nobody cleaned it for the second time I had used.

KFC London - Leicester Square

Apart from the long wait during the lunch period I was not at all happy with the temperature of my food as well as the portion sizes. When I left I found out the potion sizes were small apart from the burger. The burger and wings tasted good but that was about it. Being in a popular location in the heart of London this should be much better and food should be delivered quickly and hot or very warm. Not lukewarm. Will not be coming back here any time soon and I love KFC. Oh and lastly this KFC does not accept survey discounts from your receipts. Shocking I know as they said they don't use it anymore. It's strange how others do.

The place is a disgrace to KFC Brand name. The seating area was like a tip site. The bins were hidden by the piles of waste wrapping paper. The chairs and tables were beyond believe with food waste and dirt. Yes I asked for a manager, but was  left with a team leader who did not want to hear my comments and complain about the mess. He did state it was in hand. Maybe, but I'm sure the food inspector would have had a few questions on the state of the shop. I hope someone of responsibility reads my comments and take firm action to getting this outlet back in good order. This food is getting more expensive than ever. We deserve a clean place to sit and enjoy our meals.

Ok value for money but food was warm after a 10 min wait, not worth complaining. Staff seemed more interested in chatting to each other than serving Customers. Toilets were dirty and no soap or loo roll in Ladies.

I've always found KFC in Caribbean superior, because the chicken seems cleaner. No slime and the entire skin and coating doesn't come off with the first bite. This KFC is good. Chicken cooked well. No slime and coating stays put. Only issue it's a bit hectic. If you needed the loo, I'd advise you to go before you go, because there's always a big queue. Also someone got locked in and needed help to escape. Lol

I would give zero stars. The worst customer service. The fries apparently has to take 25mins to cook. The queue was so long and my number to collect was completely past, no receipt paper left in machines. I was ignored by the server who was giving the food out. She wouldn’t check my number or ask. Awful presentation with food. How is this still open??

HFA has certified KFC's products in these stores, and the store environments, as halal. KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

YORI (Piccadilly Circus)

Was suffering from holiday blues as we came back from South Korea, so we went to this Korean restaurant in London. This place is very busy, so make sure you reserve a table. We had one with the grill, so we cooked the meat. We ordered Pork and Chicken with various of side dishes. The food was very good and the staff were friendly. The food is ordered by the app (QR code) and it arrived pretty quick. Would definitely recommend this place if you love BBQ food!

Was my first time here. The staff were so so helpful, polite, friendly and even wished us a Merry Christmas as we left. Food was awesome, drink was awesome. I left very satisfied. Will definitely recommend and I'll be bringing some more friends next time.

Amazing place for the KBBQ experience. Friendly Staff and services although the only issue was they ran out of metal spoon for some reason so had to use a plastic spoon for the seafood soup 😬 Nonetheless we ordered the Beef Bulgogi set which had a variety of pieces of beef meat (it says Beef tongue but you don't actually get it so menu needs updating) Also for ordering you scan a QR code to order on your phone but the signal was pretty bad. Anyways we thoroughly enjoyed the dinner with my wife for her birthday. Avoid the toilet I would say even for the mens one. Overall come for the food and great service! 👍 👌

I was disappointed by the treatment and felt as though the staff, although not blatantly rude, singled us out by giving us wooden utensils although everyone else in the restaurant had metal as well as other small things like not explaining how we order food and placing us right in the back by the toilet although other seating was available. The food is overpriced, the treatment we received was almost certainly racially motivated and I will not actively warning my friends and family that this restaurant or and others make a habit to treat paying customers like less than because we look different.

I would have hoped to have experienced a welcoming demeanour as we clearly wanted to experience something different but it just goes to show that these chain restaurants only care about their own and make no effort in welcoming individuals who are new to the cuisine experience. So disappointed, worst customer service and treatment I’ve experienced in years. Absolutely shameful.

I have been many times to Yori. The food here is delicious. And the staff is nice, helpful and friendly. Very appropriate for having a meal in the cold winter. You can directly place your order via the QR code, which is convenient!

Haidilao Hot Pot

Great experience, first time going to a hotpot and it definitely lived up to expectations.
The broths were all distinct and the food was fresh.
The atmosphere was great, the staff were welcoming and attentive.
It is a bit expensive, though that largely depends on what you order and how much.
Would definitely recommend

This place was amazing, the wait is long but definitely worth it… we came at 1600 and joined the line and we were seated by 1900 but you can leave and they text you when your table is ready or stay in the waiting area where they have a variety of food and drinks. The place was so clean and the staff were amazing. The food itself was really good one of the best if not the best hot pot I’ve had. A very nice atmosphere and so many options to chose from. I would definitely recommend and I will definitely be back.

Pro:
1. Perfect service, free complimentary snacks when you are waiting.
2. Staffs are very very very attentive to your need with a smile on their face.
3. Generous with their potions.
4. Toilet is clean and full of stuff that you need in emergency.
5. Free take-away boxes.
6. Free toys for children ( not sure if it is for everyone, I spend about £90 ).

Cons:
1. I was happy every time I came so I will update if there is something come up.

I heard a lot about this establishment and I must say it is worth every penny. The staff is super attentive and helpful. The space is clean. The sauce station is clean and gets stocked up constantly. The options are incredible. Now I finally understand why there is always a line.

Saw a lot of hypes about Haidilao so it piqued my curiosity about all the videos made about it, and I can for certain it did NOT disappoint.

It’s an amazing restaurant, and luckily we came mid afternoon (2-3) that the wait was not that long. The interior was stunning with modern but minimalistic designs. An added bonus is that there were free manicures and a bubble tea cafe inside! (Would definitely have got boba is I didn’t already bring my own)

Now onto the star event! The hotpot! How can I say this but it was absolutely amazing! Enjoyed every bit, this is definitely a place to go with friends as Hot pot is a social event 💕 the staff was excellent and the food was delicious.

Haidilao was an amazing experience and I’ve been praising it so much, but the only reason I’ve given it 4 stars is because despite everything, homemade hotpot beats all.

The amount of meat (and additional stuff such as scallops and fish cake) given was not that much (impressive and high quality so I understand why) I believe each serving is for one person or perhaps two, but going as a group it didn’t feel as though we had enough. (We were all full because we had a variety amount of different items, but let’s be real. We’re really all here for the meat. Also, there’s no silken tofu, and the tofu they give is very spongy.)

Now that I’ve experienced it, I will say I would definitely come here again. Haidilao is an experience to have and a treat to enjoy every once in a while, though next time I would definitely order more meat and noodles.

The spicy double bbq chicken burger from @slimchickensuk was full of flavour with juicy tender chicken coated in their spicy bbq sauce and topped crispy fried onions. We’ve visited multiple times and definitely enjoyed the burger every time. The chicken tenders are perfectly cooked but lack flavour without the sauces, but there are multiple dip options available, our favourite being the slim sauce. The wings on the other hand were disappointing, very small and lacking flavour so we would recommend just getting the tenders. 

Overall, slim chickens is definitely a place we’d recommend for amazing chicken options and great value for money!!

Slim Chickens

Amazing breakfast experience, on arriving late morning I was quickly served with a smile and was able to enjoy my unlimited refill drink while waiting for my food. The sonic vibe poster by the till and kitchen was a nice touch, adding that extra character and used the same style as the restaurant as to not stick out with the rest of the place.

Although I waited a short while for breakfast, it was very much worth the wait. The texas toast was cooked with care and had so much taste to it. The bread was toasted with garlic butter and a perfect balance for the chicken and egg filling. Although chicken isn't ever my choice for breakfast it made for one of the best breakfasts I have ever had in London, would definitely come back for lunch and dine-in when I'm not working.

The doorman deserves a raise!

The food was excellent but the service provided by the doorman was great. In his well dressed black entire, he got us seated, found us a chair and continued to wait other tables while still being active at the door.

The food was served quickly despite it being very busy. The wings were a dream, and the tenders were supreme. Would recommend for a good quick fix in central London.

1st time here. Decided to try all the 14 sauces they had. Wings were nicely seasoned. The burger could have been better. Bit more chicken. Friendly service. Surprisingly loved the gravy mayo. Ranch mixed with buffalo sauce is a hit too. Loved that they had a huge collection of sauces. Definitely a visit again.

First time here and I got my daughter some dinner, her choice,  as she loves chicken.  The place was buzzing with people. Liverpool and Real Madrid champions league  final was playing on the TV so got some extra entertainment.  Had a few laughs with my daughter from the conversations across the table about our plant. 🤣 Made our day. 🤣🤣 I just love people.

Anyway food was great my daughters meal was over £10.00 I'm not sure if it was too pricey but she loved it. She then added caramel milkshake that added up to over £12.

She chose 5 piece chicken tenders with chips and Mango sauce. Which she loved. The chicken tenders were succulent and definitely  not dry, so after she finished her meal I felt it was worth  the price. She got 5 piece Chicken tenders chips it came with garlic bread and a sauce of her choice and she chose the mango one. I sent a picture of the food to my husband and he said that it looks dry, but I can tell you all that reads this the chicken was definitely  NOT dry at all. Chips had the skin on which I like,  I would definitely  go again.  I would try something different  next time. I would definitely  go back.

Good quality no doubt.

Though bread and chips aren't that cheerful, I'll give 5 stars for the chicken already. The chicken is crispy outside and fresh inside, sauces make things even better.

We serve chicken from a supplier certified as Halal by HFA. Alcohol is served. 

Kanada-Ya

This restaurant is fairly busy, so we had to wait for a free table for quite some time which was no issue as we were aware of this possibility beforehand. The staff were very considerate giving us updates on the availability. The layout of the place is snug, with the ground floor having comfier seating but overall it was an aesthetically pleasing place. We were all very excited to try the food here as we heard a lot of high praises, and of course while the ramen was good, it didn't reach the expectations. I also ordered the chashu don dish, the flavour was nice but the meat was dry, perhaps it was an off day.

The ramen here is crazy good. I am a huge ramen lover and love trying new ramen spots. As a visitor to the UK, this restaurant came highly recommended to try and I am so glad I did. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with a hanjuku egg. The broth is some of the richest broth I've ever had, super creamy and deeply flavourful, and the noodles were the perfect texture. The egg was also perfectly cooked and seasoned. This was the first time I couldn't finish my entire bowl of broth at a ramen restaurant, it was so filling! Overall, definitely will return when I am back in the UK and would recommend to anyone looking for a good ramen spot.

I wandered the streets and came by this small noodles restaurant. Had to cue for a while, since the place was full.

They have no physical menus. Instead you scan a QR code and check the menu from your phone. Well, I did not ask if they have real menus also but...

I ate Spicy Yuzu, a ramen 🍜dish and some dumplings 🥟 together with a Japanese lager beer. The taste was really good and perfectly spicy.

The payment was done also by the website. Probably they accept cash also, but it was handy to just pay and leave.

Great Japanese ramen house!  Dontoksu ramen will satisfy your expectation, especially the soup, which is the defining factor for a great ramen. The egg topping can be ordered for extra cost but is done perfectly and worth it.

We ordered chasu-don and karaage for kids, as no child dedicated menu are served.

Downside is small, there is no kids menu, and no draft beer.

Average ramen for a high price, menu photos in google maps are not up to date, better check their website. To be honest, nothing special about ramen, adding an egg costs 2.2£ additional to an average 13£ ramen. Some places include eggs in the price. Karaage chicken pieces are super small and presented badly for a 6£ price. Place is small with queues outside. Was seated by the table for singles next to the entrance and people were passing by all the time. Did not feel comfortable for the price I paid.
From the good things: service is amazing, they’re doing their jobs perfectly. Location is good.
Overall: wouldn’t come unless they change the prices or improve whats mentioned above.

Very nice and good steak 🥩 restaurant. I have got better meat, but this was also very good. I missed some sauce with meat, but it is only me. Atmosphere was nice and clean. Service was nice, but a little hurry feeling.

If you like meat, I can recommend this place for dinner 👍

Booked up for a birthday meal & was not disappointed. Cesar looked after us for the evening & was fantastic. We tried the ribs (very meaty), the bread & olives for starters. For the vegan main we ordered the chickpea curry & rice (unfortunately the restaurant had ran out of rice so we were complimented with a free round of drinks - passion fruit bubble cocktail & beer & alternative side which was way more than we expected & a great addition to our evening). The other main was sirloin on a hot stone (cook to your own likeness) with salt, garlic butter & peppercorn sauce with chips, very tasty with an excellent Mac & Cheese side. For dessert we had Apple tart & espresso martini. The staff were brilliant & also sang happy birthday, a fantastic evening, couldn't have asked for a better night.

We went for a meal here prior to watching the Only Fools n Horses musical at Theatre Royal.

The meal here was amazing! I chose the more expensive fillet steak, you also have to choose your salt to go with it, your sauce and your butter from a great selection. It comes partially cooked by the chef, you then finish it off to your particular liking on a hot stone.

I found the best way to do this is to cut it into sections otherwise you’ll be there all day. It was an amazing fillet though and the accompanying butter, salt and sauce really finished it off well. So delicious!

There is plenty on the menu for all, including an expansive drinks menu. As well as the usual Coke I also had quite an exciting looking bubble tea.

I had the malteaser cheese cake for dessert another great choice!

The staff were very friendly, warm and efficient based on this experience I would totally recommend a visit.

Happy New Year!! Medium rare chocolate-fed fillet grilled to perfection— extremely tender and juicy, even though it’s not a fatty marbled piece. No sauce is needed. This is well above many of the non-wagyu steaks I’ve had. 10 oz is a breeze.

My friend’s bbq rib also tastes good. Slightly on the salty side for me.

Wish there are more lighter options for sides. Asparagus perhaps?

Friendly and attentive staff. They were so kind to turn the outside heating for us while it was a tad cold.
I didn't try the steaks, so for now I'd rate 3 as the fettuccini and the chicken salad were nothing special.

Booked this Lovely little place to eat in before going over to watch the phantom of the opera.
The staff were very polite and friendly, and the food was lovely, however I had asked for my steak to be well done and when it arrived it had been cooked to very very rare so I had to send it back which meant that my friend had nearly finished her meal before mine had actually been recooked and given to me again. Which isn’t really very good when we were out for dinner together.
The second steak was lovely just a shame that the chef didn’t just cook it how I’d asked the first time around.

First of all, absolutely great staff. I think she was the manager who makes me throw another star for it.
She was very thoughtful and well-organised person.

I ordered steak, fish and chips and chicken dish. The food was over all a bit..  too salty. Children's menu is very good value though. (I recommend an Onion ring it was so good!!)

Bit of shame that the company get rid of the Hot-stone steak which I think one of the most iconic dish from this company.

This is one of my favourite restaurant in London so I remember that There was a fire about 5 years ago.
Meaning it Maybe better for safety reason. But someone like me would dislike.

I am not sure whether I would visit here again or another for steak.

Friendly staff and the ambience was good. However i found the salad overall were a little bit too dry for me, it should be added more dressing and less fried onion to balance the taste and the steak was overcooked as we ordered medium rare. Overall the taste was a little bit too monotonous. For such a price we'd expect more than that.
But the Lobster mac and cheese was really good :)

Best tomahawk steak I’ve had! We ordered the 32 oz steak and 3 sides. It was perfect for two people. Passion fruit drinks were delicious!

We were looking for steak and stumbled upon this place.  Within a minute of walking in the first gentleman cleared up a table amd a second was ready to get us seated as well.  They took the time to explain to us first timers how the hot stone experience worked and it was nothing short of fabulous.
Quick, friendly service, amazing tastimg food and the drinks were fabulous as well.
Highly recommend, it did not disappoint.

Steak & Co have a concept where they provide you a rare steak on a hot stove and you cook it yourself 👀 Yeah I didn’t really get the concept either since the whole reason I go to a steak place is because I want the steak made for me 😂Despite this the steak was of a really good quality, but on the halal menu you only get the option of a fillet or sirloin. Although, it was somewhat fun to make my own steak, the reason I wasn’t fond of it was because the stove didn’t cook through the steak evenly, so you end up having to cut up small pieces of the steak and cooking it which is honestly just too much energy invested for a piece of meat 😂 Apart from the steak, the sides weren’t great, especially the mac and cheese. On the plus side, the staff are really friendly and accommodating, and its definitely a good place to visit on group occasions purely based on the service! 
P.S I am struggling on rating the food at this steak place, since I made it myself 👀

Steak and Company - Covent Garden

Excellent food and service! My steak was superb, perfectly cooked, full of flavour and good size. I really enjoyed it and would definitely recommend. There is something for everyone on the menu and the whole family really liked the food. Plus the service was top level. From the start a lovely lady greeted us at the door and showed us to the table, gave my daughter crayons and colouring pages to keep her busy. Our waiter Cristian is just amazing at his job and took great care of us. All the staff was super friendly. Thanks for the lovely meal. Would definitely go there again!

Absolute gem of a place to eat.  Staff are so professional and attentive. We sat outside and had blankets and it was such a lovely chilled atmosphere.  The steak is totally melt in the mouth complimented with a lovely red wine.  Such a lovely end to our trip to London.  We will be back and would hands down recommend to eat here.  Customer service knocks all other competitors out of park !

I had an great meal here today. Prices were a little steep but we asked for the lunch menu which was much more within our budget. Great service and delicious food. Just a suggestion, wouldn’t  it be great if they brought out bread to go with the meal, automatically like they do on the continent? I guess it’s not the British thing! Still, I wouldn’t hesitate to revisit.

This was a good experience, I felt looked after and the steak was good, other than a little charcoal burn on the outer edges (hence the 4 stars, wish I could give 4.5 stars instead) but the food tasted wonderful. A good selection of drinks and the staff are eager to please and keep you happy. I witnessed them dealing with a fussy customer, and they did a great job of handling the situation too. I recommend the place.

The service in this restaurant is just as good as the food, Carlo took care of us as if we were family, he was kind, attentive and eager to help us in anyway he could. He was always providing recommendations which were spot on. The kids also had a blast and really enjoyed their time and food of course. The place was clean, wait time was fair and the value was overall really good. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful new space, great service and inviting atmosphere. Had the pleasure to experience “supper club” during my stay in London. Wonderfully surprised that she (Asma) was a part of the experience. Food was delicious and made with lots of love. However, only recommendation is for a better/unique alternative for vegetarians (and dairy free as well) for the main course (not amazing to be eating just some veggies mixed in a ton of rice) - I was def still hungry.

This food is sublime, humble, sophisticated. Takes you to places you had never been to. It’s an adventure, a  journey, a delight to the senses. What a huge honour to be here. For me, chefs have always been like rockstars. Much respect to them. They elevate one of the aspects anthropologists say makes us truly human: the art of cooking food.

Wonderful dinner experience here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The menu is mostly set but you can select your entree. We had the methi chicken and prawns malaikari, plus you get a number of sides and dessert. Everything was delicious. Great flavors and spice throughout the meal. Very reasonably priced. I would certainly come back!

Best Indian restaurant in London. I have been here multiple times and never had a bad meal; it’s worth waiting months for a reservation!
They only offer the a la carte menu at lunch, and at dinner they have a set Thali menu for £55pp which is expensive, but I consider it good value as the quality is top notch and you get a lot of variety.
If you like Indian food, I’d highly recommend dining here.

Very nice evening. I had the royal thali, which was a bit too much food for me, but I enjoyed the small dishes letting me try a bit of everything. Food was solid but most dishes were not especially memorable (the yellow dhaal was unusually good and the desserts were pretty special). Service was attentive but a little unpolished. Overall worth a visit but nothing exceptional.

We felt like we were in Morroc. I like to have dinner at this place with friends and partners and visited in many occasions but this time there was a young lady very moody and rude who made us feel a bit uncomfortable , but nevertheless, it is a good place to visit. Hope next time don't see that rude lady there.

This is apparently the newest, Mr White, modern Italian restaurant in Leicester Square and it really is beautifully designed with outdoor dining and very elegant indoor dining booths. The staff were very attentive and pleasant though I found it a little funny that they didn’t know where the Mr White Gin came from (Wales). I thoroughly enjoyed a Mr White gin based dirty dry martini with my steak. The steak was a little touch and dry and next time I go back (and I definitely will!) I will order eye fillet - or better yet - a pizza the day before the London Marathon. My sorbet (choice of three flavours) ended the meal nicely. The location, ambiance and decor are 5 ⭐️. The steak,  more well done than medium which I ordered, was a little disappointing.

Lovely atmosphere and decor, and fantastic service. The food however was below average. The medium rare steak was tough, and the Caesar salad was so boring and bland. There was hardly any dressing, the chicken tasted like it was out of the packet and the boiled egg was overcooked. I’ve had much better food at my local pub. Way too expensive for what we had.

The USP of the place was its extensive offering of Redefine Meat items for those interested in vegan meat alternatives. Glad they’re experimenting with these products. All in all though, wouldn’t go again.

We went for a few light bites prior to the cinema.
The service was spot on; attentive, enthusiastic, friendly and professional. The pizza was good, definitely recommend. The arancini was fantastic, and went perfectly with the dip. The tomato garlic bread was also delicious and had a great crust, however it was very much lacking in garlic. The atmosphere was chilled and the decor is really instagramable.

From what I saw, the other food also looked delicious.

Faultless experience. Staff were polite, professional and very friendly. Food was incredible, quick service without feeling rushed. Our waitress was attentive as were the other staff too, offering their thoughts on the menu items and making polite conversation without giving us the impression they have to. An amazing experience which really made my 30th birthday amazing.

Staff team were amazing, tended to our requirements, made our family members feel comfortable which added to the enjoyment of the experience. Each item on the afternoon tea shelve including sandwich's cut into soldiers, cake items (scones with clotted cream & jams, carrot, banoffee, brownie ) were appetizing. Tea's were served in individual pots which was a nice touch. However on food alone, value for money was questionable. Overall the senior staff team member who oversaw our table made our afternoon tea a very pleasant & memorable experience

The food  was great;  a bit pricey , but it's Leicester Square. The service is poor.  The toilet's dryer was not functioning and no paper towel was provided. When the food is ready you are called to collect it from the reception desk. Hope the establishment improves on customer service if they intend to attract more customers. One good thing is the food is fresh and tasty.

Very poor service, customers were helping each other find seats. We had to tell them them clean the table. Ans the burger was not worth the price at all. My local chicken and chips shop tastes better. And the burger costs £1.50

Today we came in, and we thought like every other Turkish restaurant we had been to, it wouldn’t reach our expectations. When we have our first couple of bites, we LOVED IT! The service was brilliant and the server’s were really nice! We feel like we are in turkey when we were eating the food! Toilets and the whole restaurant were really clean! The restaurant was designed beautifully! Staff were also very entertaining! Loved it and i would recommend this to you Turkish food lovers!

Great place to have an authentic Turkish meal to satisfy your taste buds. Served by Mia, she was amazing. Truly inspiring on the choice of food for two without breaking the bank. Although spent many months staying in Alanya, and thought I could not be surprised ordering Turkish food, how wrong I was. Fantastic choices,  great dishes, indeed a gem of a location in the heart of Leicester Square. If you are lost wondering what to order, ask for Mia, you won't go wrong. Will definitely go again.

I definitely enjoyed coming to this place. I wasn’t sure at first as I had never tried Turkish food before. There server, Mia was so kind and understanding. Me and my family were struggling and she gave these awesome recommendations with what food to have and what food to not have. I absolutely loved there pasta personally and will definitely be coming back.

Excellent restaurant! Excellent food and even better service. The waiters, hosts, and sommeliers were all extremely pleasant, polite, and helpful. The social distancing was excellent, and you feel at ease eating here. The food was extremely tasty and of high quality. I'll be back in a heartbeat. Cheers!

🍗 Taiwanese Fried Crispy Chicken Thigh 🍗

For the seasoning I went with garlic which was so nice 🧄 The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside 🤤 It was so so good! Can't wait to come back to try it again and more of their other menu as well 🥰 P.S. I already did 😄

I also tried their Hazelnut Milk Tea 🧋 Hazelnut taste was nowhere to be found unfortunately 🌰 It tasted just like a regular milk tea, which was nice but not what I though I was going to get 🤷‍♀️

I definitely recommend trying their chicken! It's perfect as a quick meal and you can find a seating area just around the corner 😊

This establishment was quite nice. It's only the second time in my life that I've had Taiwanese fried chicken, so I don't have anything to compare it to. My friend ordered the chicken with cheese stuffing. I was quite taken with what he ordered. Pretty delicious.

very good for Snacks! the popcorn chicken with cheese flavour and garlic flavour was amazing. One of the best popcorn chicken I ever had. i can not wait to go there again. Best store in Chinatown in London. Highly recommended

Not worth the hype.
A queue no matter what time of the day (took 15min to get my food so no problem). But it is basically a crispy fried chicken and than you can choose what powder seasoning u want on it.

Would even recommend WingWing Krispy chicken as something better (Soy Garlic flavor was amazing).

Tried their crispy chicken skin garlic flavor and chicken pops seaweed flavor! Tastes so good! We ate across two people and really enjoyed while eating they couldn’t stop themselves and asked where we got the chicken.

The food fantastic very tasty cooked well.
The staff were great and the atmosphere was ok soft music playing in the background it wasn’t to busy. The deco was lovely the place was very clean and of good standard. Price is reasonable. No parking, Worth a visit.

The burgers are amazing. They offer unlimited soft drinks too if you take the meal. Jfc chicken burger is a must try , with fried chicken and patty , it's worth the price.
The fries are nice and crispy, and the staff is really kind and helpful.

Our halal options include the JFC chicken burger, our Not So Simple vegan burger as well as our vegetarian Butternut Bhaji burger.
