Haidilao Hot Pot London Piccadilly

Really good time out, the broths were tasty. Got one spicy, one mushroom and one braised beef. Really recommend the braised beef, it was perfect balance of sweet and salty.   Mushroom was also good earthy, but felt it lack compared to the braised beef.

We got a bunch of meats, seafood, beef, chicken. The seafood was great, I loved the squid tentacles which were chewy, and also loved the ox tongue.  It’s got a chewy texture but I love that and it tasted so good when cooked with the braised beef.   The whole read sharing platter was also great and looked amazing.

The staff and atmosphere was also good, a lot of birthdays for which they sing to people. We also got the kung fu noodles which come with a dance which was great entertainment

Only thing I’d say disappointed is the chicken, put simply wasn’t a fan of the flavour. Also as a warning it’s very easy to lose the food you cook in the hotpot (unless I’m doing it wrong) so be aware of overcooking. Otherwise a very positive experience. The staff were super friendly and would check up on if you need anything without intruding

Went there at new year eve today. The food was good. But the service made it extra ordinary. Yi He was one of the best one there. She took care of us and checking up on us constantly. She was so sweet. I love the atmosphere. It was busy for new year eve. But still got the best service from Yei He.....

The service was very good. Our server YI HE took a very good care of us. She was very attentive and so sweet. She was always refilling the water and checking up on us constantly. And also she gave us a panda it was so cute.

We were a group of four. We had reserved in advance and everything was sorted within just ten minutes of waiting. As it was our first time at Haidilao, the lady who attended to us explained everything very clearly and helped us understand the portions. There was also a lovely staff member, Ye Hi, who made sure everyone was having a great time. She kept refilling our water glasses and was kind enough to treat us to ice cream and fried buns on the house. She even clicked pictures for us. We had a wonderful evening, thanks to the excellent staff and the great ambience.

Really good food! Filled up with the my friend  and I had such a good time. It’s my first hotpot experience and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back

As many of you may or may not know, shake shack UK have now started serving up halal chicken burgers.

What you may not know is that's it's an absolutely rubbish burger and total waste of money!

If you have have been following my foodie journey you know I'm straight to the point and no nonsense. I feel it's my duty to tell you do not waste your time with this. 
Honestly, it was crap. The chicken had minimal usage of herb and spices. The breading was a single layer of hard glass like texture, it felt like eating chicken wrapped in glass. 
At £6.25, I feel like I was robbed. I've had better chicken burgers for £1.

Honestly, the underated zinger burger (with chips and drink for under £5) from KFC is 10 times better. 
Bad food makes me angry.

Shake Shack Leicester Square is a fantastic spot for burger lovers. The burgers are incredibly tasty, made with fresh ingredients and cooked to perfection. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of Leicester Square, making it a convenient stop whether you’re exploring the area or catching a show.
What really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which adds to the overall great experience. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing a quick bite, you’ll feel well taken care of.
Verdict: Delicious food, prime location, and excellent service. Highly recommended for anyone craving a quality burger in central London.

Don’t order the homemade iced tea if you’re expecting it to be sweet. The burgers are smaller than expected, but I loved mine — I came for the truffle burger. After all, it’s still a fast-food restaurant, so the service and atmosphere aren’t anything special, especially since it’s always busy. Another fast-food restaurant crossed off my bucket list!

First time trying and the food wasn’t the best. Cold chips and the burger was smaller than usual, without salt and lacking in flavor…
Although the service was great, really organized but we ended up waiting 15/20mim for our orders…
They have sauces free service, which was nice.

Even though my grandkids still love McDonalds I am gradually winning them over to Shake Shack. The founder of Shake Shack couldn’t be a nicer guy and a man with vision when he put in his first Shake Shack in my neighborhood in NYC. He understands food and he makes sure quality control is expected not a suggestion. How happy I was to be walking back from Selfridges to the Savoy when I saw the sign SHAKE SHACK. There is always something special about a great burger. Here you will not only find one but the price is right. If you are close to LEGOS follow the smell.

Great burger with very good quality ingredients. Juicy meat, fresh bun and excellent fries. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. The staff was also very friendly and helpful at the counter. Definitely worth a stop.

The chicken we use in our Chicken Shack and Chicken Bites in every UK Shack is halal-certified, including our 2021 festive Black Truffle Chicken item.

Everyone loves a bit’a PF Changs 🥢

Upon our 5th visit to this household name you won’t be surprised to hear that the FIRST thing we ordered was the Dynamite Shrimp; succulent, juicy shrimp coated in PF Changs special dynamite sauce...can’t go wrong! We also ordered the Mongolian Beef, which was sweet but peppery- great appetiser to wake up your taste buds. As a side we thought we’d experiment and go with something we really like - mash - with a twist, wasabi mash. It’s fair to say it wasn’t quite for our taste 😂, but again wasabi is always a hit or miss. The Kung-Pao Chicken was tasty too, though not as good as the Beef 🤤 The Grilled Salmon was coated in a lovely, crispy skin, just how we like it. One thing we always like about PF changs is the portion sizes are quite generous, which is always a plus, though I’m sure you guys would agree, we could eat 5 portions of the dynamite shrimp alone 🤤🤪

This is one of our favourite food spots in central London, so you can imagine our excitement being invited down to visit @pfchangsasiantable new blossom room downstairs🌸. We’re suckers for beautiful picture worthy places so this definitely satisfied our picture needs and is such a great addition to their store 😍

Every dish here is plain old delicious. We love their famous dynamite shrimp and chicken here, though a little strong on the sriracha aioli mayo this time round, we still enjoyed! Usually our favourite main dish is their soy sauce caramelised Mongolian Beef (which goes lovely with the egg fried rice) but this time around they really smashed their sweet garlic chilli Chang’s Chicken dish, which went beautifully with the noodles!

Our favourite out of desserts had to be their Banana Spring Rolls, which were lightly drizzled in caramel & vanilla sauce and served with coconut and pineapple icecream😍🤤. We also thoroughly enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake but be aware, it’s very rich! Definitely a sharer and not for the faint hearted 😂

The mocktails consisted of mint, cherry, strawberry purée, orange, lime, elderflower and topped with ginger ale… Not the usual combination of flavours but so unique, sweet and tasteful!

I’ve been to PF Chang’s a countless amount of times over the years, but I’ve never actually reviewed them.

Whenever there’s a special occasion, whether that’s a birthday, anniversary or we happen to be in London, then we usually come to PF Chang’s for dinner.

We always get the same items from their menu. For starters we get their dynamite shrimp and chicken dumplings, both of which are absolutely delicious. Their dynamite shrimp are probably the best I’ve had from anywhere in the UK.

For mains we always get: Mongolian beef, Chang’s Spicy Chicken and Low Mein Noodles. All of which are super tasty. I’ve had some issues with their Mongolian beef in the past where it’s a little too salty, but the last few times I’ve been, it’s been perfect.

My favourite from what we order is definitely the Chang’s Spicy Chicken. When you dip the crispy chicken into the sauce from the dumplings, it tastes phenomenal.

The staff here are great also, service is fast and the waiters/waitresses are really nice and make you feel welcomed. They’re very polite and make sure you’re happy.

In our most recent visit - Christmas Eve 2025, it appears they’ve changed some of their furniture and have given the place a fresh lick of paint.

Great place, will definitely continue to come here.

We had to wait a bit outside since PF Chang’s was packed, but that’s usually a good sign and it was worth it. The restaurant was spotless, and the staff were incredibly professional and attentive. The food took a little while to arrive but every dish was delicious. I highly recommend the Mongolian Beef and the Pad Thai. Overall, a great experience!

Food excellent, don’t go in rush hour or busy times, I would recommend booking a table in advance to get a nice comfortable table. Food was lovely and service was good and not too dear, will definitely go back. Would highly recommend dynamite shrimp to start ( portions are after getting smaller!) Location was good (central London) interesting story as to how PF Chang’s started!

Good food, however there was a cold blast from the heating system where we were sitting by the door. Despite repeated requests it wasn't addressed which made it a bit uncomfortable on an alreasy cold day. Nonetheless enjoyed.

We dined in P. F. Chang’s on Monday 22nd September. We couldn’t recommend it enough; the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly and courteous. We especially enjoyed the honey chicken, the orange chicken and the vegetable spring rolls. Special mention to our waiter Mohammed who was very attentive and the lovely girl who came to us at the end of our meal (we didn’t get her name!) and was also very attentive and friendly. Very happy with our experience and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious meal.

Good Friend Chicken

The chicken thighs is really juicy. Every bite I take there is juice coming out from the chicken and leaking to my finger. The spicy flavouring kicks a little, just how I like it. A very good snacks to grab in winter as it’s serve hot.

Finally tried the viral chicken popcorn from Ji Chicken and it genuinely lives up to the hype! The chicken was super crispy on the outside and juicy inside, cooked to perfection with that addictively crunchy texture.

They’ve got loads of seasoning options to choose from, I went for the plum one and it was just right. The shop also serves loads of other chicken items and seafood along with wide variety of milk-teas and drinks, but I only tried the popcorn chicken this time.

The place is quite small and always busy (which says a lot about how popular it is), so be ready to wait a little.

The portion size is small to decent for £7, and yes, a bit pricey, but honestly the flavour, crunch, and freshness make it worth it. Definitely a must-try if you’re visiting Chinatown! I’m absolutely going back to try more next time!

As fried chicken connoisseurs, this was some of the best we’ve ever had.

We ordered the popcorn chicken - slightly on the pricier side, but absolutely worth it. The toppings added amazing flavour, and it wasn’t greasy at all.

Not the biggest of shops but it was very busy inside and out and nonetheless and you can see why, they do all different types of chicken from a battered large chicken breast that has been flattened to popcorn chicken which seems to be the most popular. They fill up a small bag with a decent size portion of popcorn chicken and then have about eight different seasonings you can put on and then they shake it up in the bag and give you a long toothpick/fork to eat it with on the Go, tasted absolutely delicious.

Darjeeling Express

I had high expectations, as London’s hospitality scene is generally excellent. Given that this restaurant is on the more expensive side and has been featured on Chef’s Table, I expected a higher overall standard.

Some of the dishes were truly spectacular and delicious, and you could clearly feel the effort and creativity coming from the kitchen. Unfortunately, not everything worked for me. The main course was far too salty to eat. I mentioned this to the waiter, but no alternative or compensation was offered.

We were seated at a table right next to the entrance door, which was open most of the time. It was very cold and uncomfortable throughout the evening. Additionally, we were sitting on a bench without cushions, which made the experience even less pleasant. When we asked for a pillow or a blanket, we were told that none were available.

The service was friendly, but rather basic and not at the level I would expect from a restaurant of this reputation and price range.

Despite some excellent food, the overall experience did not meet expectations, and unfortunately I would not return

Incredible food, lots of spices and absolutely scrumptious. The staff was gracious and really recommended good food.
Keema toastie, ma chingri (prawns), chaiiiii, chicken momos  and the rose and cardamom soda are some of the best dishes I tried, and probably something I would recommend. What I really loved bout the food was it had not toned down the heat and spice that Indian food is rich in, something I've noticed in most Indian restaurants in London.

Beautiful food, homely flavours. My favourite was the Keema toasties, just melted in the mouth. The Dhal was also delicious and served in a cute mini teapot. I gave 4stars as the Masala chai was too peppery. Otherwise I will definitely be back 😁

Disappointing experience — not worth the hype

Went here on Pujo weekend after having already tried Chourangi, and honestly, I was underwhelmed after looking forward to it for so long. The menu isn’t entirely Bengali — why are there so many toastie options? The kosha mangsho was under-seasoned and had an odd stench. The prawn malaikari was decent but nothing special. The parathas felt amateur — Bengalis make far better ones at home.

The most disappointing dish was the papri chaat: only five papris with minimal toppings and what tasted like store-bought tamarind chutney. It looked sad and tasted worse — the least wholesome version of papri chaat I’ve ever had. The bhapa doi portion was also tiny, lacking the richness and generosity the dish deserves.

Overall, the menu missed key Bengali classics, and the whole experience lacked authenticity — especially after all the storytelling and media coverage. The back of the menu claims to serve food that “touches your soul,” but unfortunately, they broke that promise. I’d pick Chourangi over this any day.

As a proud Bengali, it’s disheartening to see our food misrepresented in taste, texture, and abundance. Our mothers work too hard in their kitchens for there to be a world where people pay this much for such mediocre Bengali food.

Decent Indian food but I cannot justify the price for the quality/quantity. We got the prix fixe menu and still paid twice as much compared to getting a la carte at Dishoom. The chaat was way too saucy and the courgette paratha was mediocre. We only had 2 small pieces to work with. Simple garlic naan would’ve been better to pair with the curries. The desserts were quite sweet and small in portion size. Drinks were subpar as well. Overall, would not recommend coming here with so many other great Indian restaurants available in London.

North African dishes served in souk-like rooms with tiles, lanterns, shishas and exotic fabrics.

The decorative in the restaurant is nice. Food was served very slow even we were the only table for a Sat. lunch. We like the garlic aubergine starter but the Harira soup was a bit too salty.

For the main dishes, chicken Tagine with prune was too sweet; mixed grill came with very tough/dry meat, although the “gravy” sauce was nice, it’s not a memorable dish; and the grilled octopus wasn’t very good quality of seafood. In general, we were slightly disappointed…

We arrived very late, just as the restaurant was about to close, yet they still kindly agreed to welcome us, which was incredibly thoughtful. We were seated in a small, very typical room full of charm — it felt authentic and cozy. The staff were exceptionally kind and attentive, the service was excellent, and the food was truly delicious, with a strong sense of tradition in every dish. They even offered us tea at the end. If you’re visiting London, this place is an absolute must — charming, warm, and genuinely memorable.

Had an amazing meal, couldn’t fault the service and had really welcoming staff. The lamb tagine was cooked absolutely perfectly, also had beef tagine and prawn dish all cooked very well. Will definitely return if we can. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Mamasons Dirty Ice Cream (Chinatown London)

I loved the Ube brownie I got it was warm and filling the pendan ice cream paired well with it also. I like the fast ordering system on the iPads and the service is very helpful! Love this place for your Filipino desserts 🍨 🇵🇭

HAND DOWN THE BEST ICECREAM PLACE EVER! I had halo halo  and billy 8 which had ube Icecream and I loved it sm! BILOG 8 was reallyyyy good like damn and it was my first time ever having ube icecream. Found my new best icecream! Although some people may say it’s bit expensive for just a icecream but honestly I think it’s really worth it! Will come back here everytime I come to China town.

Easy to use self service kiosk and the ice cream scoops were a good size (£6 for 2). Really good creamy almost sticky texture and lovely flavour. Able to sit inside which was a bonus

Mamasons

Managed to walk in a get a table with no wait yesterday. I had brunch at a place near by but it didn't hit the spot. So being the fatty I am I went to @dishoom and got the lamb biryani. Such a good choice, my first time I've had it. I found it delicious. Lamb cooked perfectly, moist fluffy rice, spices all balanced out and really flavoursome. Definitely a top biryani and for less than a tenner

Dishoom in London was an incredible dining experience and easily a place I would highly recommend. The food was unbelievably flavorful, with rich spices and bold, authentic tastes that made every dish memorable. Everything we tried was packed with depth and cooked perfectly.

The inside of the restaurant is absolutely stunning—beautifully designed with a warm, elegant atmosphere that feels both cozy and vibrant at the same time. The attention to detail in the décor really adds to the overall experience and makes it a great place to sit back and enjoy the meal.

Dishoom stays very busy for both lunch and dinner, and it’s easy to see why, so reservations are highly recommended. Between the amazing food, gorgeous interior, and lively energy, this is a must-visit spot when you’re in London.

We visited Dasham for a meal, and it turned out to be a truly wonderful experience. The ambience is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, creating a very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. The decor adds to the overall charm of the place.

We ordered chola poori halwa, Parsi omelette, and qeema, and every dish was fresh, flavorful, and absolutely amazing. One of the highlights of our visit was the bottomless tea, which was especially comforting and perfect for the winter season.

The staff was extremely courteous and attentive, making sure we were well taken care of throughout our visit. The place does get a bit crowded, so making a reservation in advance is highly recommended.

Overall, Dasham offers great food, a lovely ambience, and excellent service. Highly recommended.

Overall I think the food is good and tasty, though I’m not entirely convinced the price tag is worth it as the portions are small. Lineup was considerable but they bring out chai tea to the waiting customers. As I don’t recall the specific dish names, it’ll be a bit generic. Shrimp: dry but flavourful. Okra fries: well seasoned, crispy. Baked rice: average. Chicken curry: rich, recommended. Salad: not very impressive.

I usually go to this restaurant, and Dishoom never disappoints. It’s one of my favourite restaurants.

I ordered the Chilli Cheese Toast, Pau Bhaji, Okra Fries, and Vegetable Samosas, and everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavour.

The chilli cheese toast was perfectly crispy, the pau bhaji was really tasty, the okra fries were crispy and enjoyable, and the vegetable samosas were fresh and tasty.

To finish it off, I had the Basmati Kheer with Masala Chai, which was really yummy and the perfect way to end the meal.
The atmosphere is great and the food is consistently amazing. I love coming here and would definitely recommend Dishoom.

Birthday brunch as a special treat and it certainly was! Very good and welcoming service. Our server explained everything to us and recommended a few dishes that were her favourites. The food was delicious and filling and we thoroughly enjoyed it! As it was my birthday, I was treated to a complementary stack of delicious cinnamon pancakes. Thank you Dishoom, we will be back!

Koshari Street

We were looking for halal food on Christmas eve, luckily this place was still open & had seats. Alki & Mohamad were super friendly & helpful.  Food was delicious & huge in portion but my teenage sons had no problem gobbling it all down.

Delicious food with amazing flavours. Made a large order for our office lunch the morning of. It all arrived well packaged, perfectly on time and it was delicious! The regular size was also a great amount of food to feel full. Definitely a must try!

I had an amazing experience at Koshari St in the St. Martin branch, thanks to Munna! From the moment I arrived, Munna was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and professional. He made great recommendations, ensured everything was perfect with my order, and provided service with genuine warmth and a smile.

It’s rare to find someone who truly cares about customer satisfaction the way Munna does. His positive attitude and dedication made my visit enjoyable and memorable. I’ll definitely be returning and I’ll be looking for Munna next time!

My friend and I were looking for a light dinner on our way towards Covent Garden and it was by chance that I saw their board say "Egyptian" I was curious what was on the menu. I didn't know what Kosher is but my friend who lives in KSA told me and we decided this would be perfect. We got lentil soup and their chicken bites. It was the most delicious food we had that day. The flavours were exceptional, tangy and brought warmth. Akil who served us was friendly and amazing interpersonal skills. We didn't realise the shop closing time and were just sat there chatting after eating. We noticed after he informed new customers it was closed. He was so polite. Thanks for this great places. Definitely coming back.

Old Beijing Copper Hot Pot + BBQ for £30.6 (for two) — crazy good value!

So many choices and everything tastes great.
BBQ items are flavourful and well-seasoned, and the copper hot pot comes with a wide variety of meats, seafood, and fresh vegetables you can keep refilling.

For this price in London?
High value, lots to eat, and genuinely delicious.

Real Beijing Food House is one of the best places for authentic Beijing-style copper hotpot in London Chinatown. The charcoal-fired copper pot instantly warms you up, and the sliced lamb is fresh, tender, and not gamey at all—perfect with sesame sauce. We chose the hotpot buffet (£32.8 pp), which had everything we wanted, and the BBQ being half price was a great bonus. Rich broth, generous portions, lively atmosphere—especially comforting in winter. Definitely a go-to spot for hotpot lovers craving real Northern Chinese flavors.

Lovely hotpot place in Chinatown! Large variety of side dishes you can add to the hotpot. The chicken broth was incredible. Also it’s halal! Lovely and modern atmosphere, friendly and attentive service, and a great place to try hotpot or have a dinner. I definitely recommend trying their all you can eat, however what you don’t finish will get charged. I highly recommend 💛

Three reasons I recommend it:
1.	Very fresh—fish and prawns were safe and tasty.
2.	Fast service—no waiting around like other all-you-can-eat places.

Had a great experience at Steak & Company Leicester Square. The service was excellent — a big thank you to Sally, who looked after us so well throughout the meal.

There are great halal options available, which was a big plus. We ordered the Ocean Ribeye, which was absolutely amazing — cooked perfectly and full of flavour. The starters were great too, and we finished with the rhubarb crumble, which was lovely and the perfect end to the meal.

Would definitely recommend for quality steaks, friendly service, and a relaxed atmosphere.

We had the most amazing meal everything was perfect and honestly one of the tastiest meals weve ever had but what made the experience more perfect was the service from Joao.
From start to end he was attentive, nothing was too much trouble and he gave recommendations and made us feel so looked after. He went above and beyond bringing us a drink for our celebration and adding a sparkling candle to our desert.
It was all in all a lovely pleasant and delicious experience which in a busy restaurant in central london isnt always the case.

We came here after a show and we both ended up ordering the rump steak. It was cooked perfectly and the service was amazing. Just what we needed after a long day and a great show.  Joao was put server and was attentive and wanted everything to be right for us. Highly recommend.

Came here as a large group for our Christmas meal and everyone really enjoyed their steak.

I enjoyed mine and this is actually our second time coming here for a Christmas meal, which says a lot. We were given free bags which were a nice touch.

The cocktails were very nice, the Mai Tai was especially good and nicely strong.

That said, it was very smoky inside from the sizzling steaks, especially with some tables cooking their own, and it was very loud, to the point where we struggled to have a proper conversation. Most people also felt the desserts were a bit on the rich side.

Overall, great food and brilliant service, just be prepared for the noise and smoke… I came out smelling like a grill. 🙃

Popped into this steakhouse in between activities we had planned & was honestly so surprised by the hospitality of the staff & General Manager, Diego! We are not people who like over the top hospitality, but this place was perfect, just right attentive staff, pouring your wine & even providing free limoncello shots for us all, for our son’s 18th birthday! Food was beautiful, the best Mac & Cheese I’ve had in the UK! Top class all around & we will definitely be back! Many thanks x

We visited Plum Valley in Chinatown and were initially met with quite a queue, but it moved down quickly. The staff asked if we were happy to be seated in a separate room rather than the main restaurant, which we didn’t mind at all — the room was clean and quiet.

Given how busy the restaurant was, I expected delays, but service was surprisingly efficient. The food arrived quickly, piping hot, and freshly made. There’s also a huge amount of choice — a full menu dedicated just to dim sum alongside another for starters and mains, so there’s plenty of variety for everyone.

I tried their new lychee prawn balls, which had just been added to the menu that day. Personally, I found them a bit too chewy and didn’t think the pairing with the lychee sauce worked very well, but it was still fun to try something different. I also ordered the soup dumplings, which were packed with flavour, but my favourite had to be the chicken dumplings - perfectly made and incredibly tasty with the chilli oil & spring onion garnishes.

Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable experience with good service and lots of delicious options to choose from.

One of the BEST vegan friendly restaurants i’ve ever been to in London. The food was incredible, and there was so many vegan protein options ranging from ‘duck, chicken, pork, tofu’. The service was fab too. If you go you need to try the vegan chicken in black pepper sauce, this was insane.

My only suggestion would be the portion sizes were quite small for the price. But overall a 10/10.

Tried for the first time as a large family party, trying the dim sum menu primarily with some from the ala carte (noodles etc). Excellent quality, well made and tasted good. Not everywhere in Chinatown does cheung fun, so this was a great plus. But the dishes we tried were great. Seating was adequate, although when busy (as when we visited), it can feel crowded and the vertical nature of the restaurant with tight stairs may make accessibility difficult for those with mobility issues.

incredibly disappointing experience, I'm starting to think that London Chinatown is similar to the New York Little Italy, and the real kin is outside of the city. The best is this strange Crystal dumpling that they provide with scallops and shrimp inside. but overall the shrimp is not super fresh and the senjukyuetn come like a hot dog and I'm just glad I had the soup because it was comforting but the rest was like not up to par. I guess New York has just different standards

Plum Valley is one of those spots that feels a little fancier than your average Chinese restaurant, but still super welcoming. Prices are a bit higher than your usual Chinatown joint, but you can tell they’re going for quality ingredients and presentation, so it feels justified. If you’re looking for a spot that’s stylish without being stuffy, Plum Valley hits the mark.

YORI Piccadilly Circus Korean BBQ

The food at Yori was absolutely delicious. We started with the Korean fried chicken and kimchi, but It would be nice if the kimchi had a bigger portion. In regard to the barbecuing, we ordered the beef set, which filled me and my friend up. The staff were attentive and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable.

Lovely Korean restaurant near Picadilly Circus. We ordered a number of dishes including their Korean fried chicken, beef bulgogi bibimbap, tteokbokki and the Korean prawn bokkeumbap (fried rice). It would have been great if the food had came out hotter.

The staff there were warm and welcoming, always ready to help out. The restaurant itself has a cosy and nice atmosphere and service was good.

The food was DELICIOUS!!! The bbq was amazing and same thing with the pajeon. Defo recommend, also their music choice in the restaurant is great 😂 The customer service amazing!!! Everyone is so sweet and understanding honestly! They need a pay rise 💗🥰

I’d been really looking forward to an authentic Korean meal, but the dinner turned out to be underwhelming.The staff were genuinely lovely warm, attentive, and quick to help but the food let the side down. The chicken bites arrived lukewarm and had to be sent back. The stone bowl rice (seafood) was bland and had almost no discernible seafood. The beef stew had tender meat and was the best part of the meal, yet it was noticeably over-salted.Overall, the dishes lacked the bold, balanced flavours I expect from Korean cooking. Nothing felt particularly fresh or vibrant.Verdict: Friendly service can’t quite make up for the lacklustre, under-seasoned food. At these prices in central London, I expected much more.

It was very easy to make reservation on Google Maps. We were craving for some Korean barbecue and we ordered the beef selection.

Some of the smaller pieces come with very nice marble however the quantity wasn’t that much there is a piece of bigger steak, and some other that are marinated.

When we first put the meat on the grill, the grill wasn’t completely heated up so the steak wasn’t the best and no staff told us when the grill  would be ready.

On top of that we ordered a Seaford pancake, mushroom fried glass noodle and a soup with rice.

The rice wine in a bowl is a must to order. It is very delicious and with low alcohol percentage.

We had a very nice time there drinking rice wine and eating. Three of us and we had a full tummy.

It was £120 for 3, not bad for London price, especially we had alcohol.

The patties themselves are really good – the pastry is light, flaky, and well-baked, and the fillings are rich, flavourful, and nicely seasoned. If you’re looking for authentic taste, the food definitely delivers.

Unfortunately, the experience is let down by the staff. They come across as miserable and unfriendly, with no smiles or warmth. I found them unhelpful, and it felt like serving customers was a chore rather than something they wanted to do.

Super tasty Jamaican patty! Was craving a late afternoon snack and this absolutely hit the spot. Flakey and crunchy on the outside, and absolutely savory and delicious on the inside. Whether you’re looking for a snack, breakfast, or a heartier meal, I think this is a gem of Covent Garden. Next time I’m around, I’ll be back to try more of the flavors

We ordered the vegan “soya” patties. Oh my goodness, outstanding flavor and perfect crust! I will definitely go back before I leave London. Likely more than once.😆

Had their Curried Goat Patty which was a let down tbh.. Meat was quite games and the pastry was dry and not flakey 😢

Maybe the first image speaks for itself. The second image is after I squished the contents to make it a bit more appetising. Generally fine and tasty, like sausage meat in some pastry. For a better but similar thing try a curry puff from old Chang kee down the road.

I think they had issue with toilet recently but they are open now, fully functional on upstairs lobby.

They have a massive 75 seated upstairs lobby and ground floor with 20 people capacity.

Mainly they opens at 10:00 am in the morning till 03:00 am next day on a daily basis.

Apparently one of KFCs flagship store yet it's lacking in many ways.

First and foremost, I've never been more uncomfortable in my entire life at a restaurant. Yesterday 7th June 2025, it was raining outside so decided to dine at KFC with my Mrs. It was very humid and hot on the top floor. For some odd reason all the windows were glued closed and painted over. I spoken to the manager and requested if the Air conditioning could be switched on, apparently it's not working, so I asked if they could switch on just fan mode yet they couldn't do that either.

It says the store has WIFI and power sockets but this is a lie as both the sockets and guest WiFi had been disabled.

The store was filthy with many tables waiting to be cleaned.

The toilet didn't have any hand washing liquid. Makes you wonder if the staff even bother to wash their hands after using the restroom.

The food  both chicken wings and chicken pieces was very stale and old like they've been held past their recommend holding time as layed out in the KFC food safety standards book. The fries were undercooked.

Overall a very horrible experience. Wasn't expecting that from the standards KFC holds especially from one of their flagship stores. Having worked with KFC in the past this store definitely needs a visit from the area manager.

I found this restaurant a busy place. This restaurant is two stories upstair with staircase. However being a busy place its toilets are untidy, drinks is not cold even they don’t have extra ice option, chicken pieces are small.

I was served today by a lovely girl named britley at KFC, and I honestly had such a great experience. She was friendly, patient, and had such a positive attitude. It’s rare to meet someone who genuinely makes your day a bit brighter while you’re just grabbing food, but she definitely did that.

My order was taken quickly, she was polite throughout, and she made me feel really welcome. Customer service like that makes a big difference!

KFC has also ensured that the halal certified chicken would also meet the rigorous animal welfare standards employed in the UK, and has consulted leading animal welfare groups about this. KFC insists that all poultry is stunned before slaughter. HFA allows the use of a technique called 'stun-to-stun' - a pain free process that makes the animal insensible to pain and suffering. A verse is also recited from the Quran at the point of slaughter by an appropriate person and the poultry will not come into contact with non-halal meat at any point in the supply chain. KFC only buys high quality, Grade A, farm-assured chicken from trustworthy suppliers, and this will not change.

Buns From Home

Buns From Home is a must-visit for pastry lovers. Their buns are rich, buttery, and perfectly layered, with standouts like the pistachio and cinnamon delivering big flavour without being overly sweet. The vibe is casual and often busy, but service is quick and friendly. Simple, indulgent, and done extremely well.

We stopped by Buns From Home while visiting London and it absolutely blew our minds! We tried the vanilla roll and the cheesecake roll — both were insanely delicious. The texture, the flavor, everything was just perfect. One of the best pastry spots we’ve ever been to. Highly recommended!

These are the tastiest buns I have tried. The outside is like a sweet crispy but soft croissant like, and the filling can vary but the chocolate custard bun & dubai chocolate bun are the best. They are very big and filling and I can’t finish in one go, however, they are so worth every penny. Highly recommend this place - 10/10!

A local friend recommended their bakes, and I tried their cinnamon bun. It’s decent overall, and I appreciate that it doesn’t come with glazed.

While the bun is good, I’m giving it a lower overall rating because the staff isn’t hospitable. This definitely isn’t the best bun I’ve tried.

Had the Dubai chocolate as the Tiramisu had been off the menu the entire season. If you like a lot of cream and bold flavours in a bed of crispy flaky awesomeness, then this for you. I loved it, though this was the larger model and even for a cream fiend this was too much in one seating. More for later.
For London, the area,, and the generosity of the filling, this is actually reasonably priced.

The only two buns flavours on our permanent menu that aren’t vegetarian are our ham and cheese bun and our tiramisu bun (pork gelatine). We are currently trying to switch over to fish gelatine but it’s proving harder than we expected. None of the permanent flavours contain alcohol. Occasionally, weekend specials will contain one or both of these ingredients, in which case we will be sure to mention this on the instagram announcement. 

Old Chang Kee Covent Garden

Delicious curry puffs! The gentleman that helped us was very nice and made the selection process very easy. Tons of puffs to choose from and you can just get one or four and keep walking. They other stuff on the menu but we couldn’t resist the puffs. Highly recommend stopping in here we got the signature chicken and the curry potato.

The food here was overpriced for the small quantity served. Taste-wise, it was very disappointing, especially when compared to Singapore OCK. The curry puff was hard and dry, and the chicken curry was bland and watery. On a positive note, the staff were very nice and friendly

The curry puffs are amazing. Never tried anything so good. Puff pastry with the most delicious curry inside. Absolutely love them and cannot wait to try more flavours!

Curry puffs were fabulous 😋 Malaysian style curry flavour with chicken and veg. Other fillings available. Disappointingly we only bought one each. 'will be visiting again soon.
Visited a second time earlier today, this time had Nasi Lemak with Singapore chicken curry including chunky potatoes together with rice, cucumber, fried anchovies and sambal - FABULOUS 🤩

Been there for several times! The food is good and lovely price! I ordered signature Singaporean chicken curry with rice. It tasted as good as I expected! Other course like laksa and Nasi Lemak also great! High recommend!

The store is so cozy and cute.

Staff there are excellent!! They were all very friendly and nice! I asked if I can get some more curry sauce(because sauce is the best part!) and they said yes, and game me some more in a separate bowl I found this so kind and smart.

Steak & Co have a concept where they provide you a rare steak on a hot stove and you cook it yourself 👀 Yeah I didn’t really get the concept either since the whole reason I go to a steak place is because I want the steak made for me 😂Despite this the steak was of a really good quality, but on the halal menu you only get the option of a fillet or sirloin. Although, it was somewhat fun to make my own steak, the reason I wasn’t fond of it was because the stove didn’t cook through the steak evenly, so you end up having to cut up small pieces of the steak and cooking it which is honestly just too much energy invested for a piece of meat 😂 Apart from the steak, the sides weren’t great, especially the mac and cheese. On the plus side, the staff are really friendly and accommodating, and its definitely a good place to visit on group occasions purely based on the service! 
P.S I am struggling on rating the food at this steak place, since I made it myself 👀

Steak and Company - Covent Garden

Delicious food and dedicated customer service.  We turned up about 5pm on a Saturday without a reservation and they fitted us in.  I chose the tuna sizzler and my wife chose the rump steak, with truffle mash, creamed corn and broccoli for sides.  All of it was delicious and served by our friendly waitress.  The place had a nice atmosphere but my only negative comment is the fact the room gets very hot and smoky - just a window open, or the ceiling air conditioning on would have fixed that!

It was an amazing dinner tge steak cooked on a hot stone is a new experience, but the steak taste so great! Its something that i really want to come back to. Also the staff who looked after us I wasnt able to get his name but his hospitality skills are amazing! The quality of service from the arrival to the serving of the food was flawless. I would definitely come back and recommend this place to some of my family and friends, I actually did already and posted our great experience on all social media platforms i have. Its worth every pounds we spent. Only thing though would be nice if the place will be more spacious cause the tables are like quite close to each other and the table is a bit small for 2 pax. But overall experience was great!

I visited Steak & Company  a few days ago and had an amazing experience. The highlight for me was the hot stone steak — it was delicious and a fun way to enjoy the meal. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, making sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was excellent. I had the best experience here! This was a birthday dinner and everyone made it so pleasant and special. Right from the minute we entered the door, we were greeted well and given a lovely spot. The staff explained the menu properly and were very friendly and professional. Big shout out to Eralda and Agnieszka!
The steak on the hot stone was absolutely delicious and great quality. We really liked the sauces and butters as well. They also made the birthday special with a lovely treat at the end of the meal. A perfect sweet dinner experience. Cannot wait to visit again and would definitely recommend it!

The spicy double bbq chicken burger from @slimchickensuk was full of flavour with juicy tender chicken coated in their spicy bbq sauce and topped crispy fried onions. We’ve visited multiple times and definitely enjoyed the burger every time. The chicken tenders are perfectly cooked but lack flavour without the sauces, but there are multiple dip options available, our favourite being the slim sauce. The wings on the other hand were disappointing, very small and lacking flavour so we would recommend just getting the tenders. 

Overall, slim chickens is definitely a place we’d recommend for amazing chicken options and great value for money!!

We arrived at the Piccadilly Circus store around 11 am so that atmosphere was low because naturally there was only one of the table in there with it being so early so can’t really say much about that and the service was good as the gentleman who served behind the counter was very polite and friendly. The food was good in regards to the fact that the portions were very big which matched the prices to be honest and the food was nice so can’t complain but for me personally quite salty so not something I would rush back to a hurry to have again based purely on this, but if you took each item individually and only ate that Then they taste really nice but when you get chicken chips and another side for example it can be a bit overwhelming. Drinks machine is cool as they have all the favourites in all the flavours.

Really impressed with Slim Chickens. The food was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. We ordered fried chicken, tenders, fries, and garlic toast – everything was crispy, well-seasoned, and super satisfying. The variety of dipping sauces is a big win (loved being able to try different flavors with each bite). Great spot if you’re craving proper fried chicken with a twist. Definitely recommend!

Nice branch, lovely and helpful staff. We ordered the 10 wings meal and it was delicious, filling the two of us up. Excellent range of sauces, with my favourite being the gravy mayo dip. Restaurant clean and had a great, casual atmosphere. Slim Chickens really is reliable for a quick, tasty treat.

I haven't had Ramen for a long time, and the last time I visited Kanada Ya was the Covent Garden branch. That place was packed but service was swift and it flowed smoothly. I visited the Haymarket branch on this occasion.

My lunchtime order was the large Tonkotsu X Ramen and the green tea. The table is so small where I sat and with a companion, I would think the table will be crowded.

The large felt small even, the chashu was thinly sliced. It would be a better mouthfeel if it was more thickly sliced. The broth was moreish, and tea was fine.

My First Ramen in London: A Promising Start with Room for ImprovementI

Finally tried ramen in London and opted for the Tokonsu X (without nitamago) at this popular spot. The bowl featured a rich pork-and-chicken bone broth, five slices of chashu pork belly, wood ear fungus, and spring onion, with firm noodles and nori as my chosen add-ons.The broth was savory and well-balanced, offering clear notes of both pork and chicken. The thoughtful touch of a preheated bowl kept the soup piping hot throughout the meal. The chicken karaage was exceptional—tender, juicy, and practically melt-in-your-mouth.That said, the portion size felt modest for the price, especially for a signature bowl. While the quality was solid, the overall value left something to be desired.Verdict: A strong 3.5/5. Great flavors and execution, but the portion-to-price ratio keeps it from being a standout. I’d return to try other variations, but with tempered expectations.

I ordered the chicken ramen, I’ve tried in many places so far this is the best also Chatgpt’s first recommended place 🤣 try the chicken one if not eating pork sooooo good delicious 🤤 they also give a complementary green tea either hot or cold which I found so cute 🥰

Food was delicious and authentic as were the drinks. I haven’t been to Kanada-Ya in a few years but it was just as good. The menu has also expanded but remained authentic. I will return.

one of the best ramens I've ever had! I had tried the tonkotsu x the first time, and the second time I went for the truffle one - my current favorite! if you're looking for more flavour, this is definitely the best choice. great service, I 100% recommend it. can't wait to to be back again!

Fun eating experience.  The Hot Stone cooking at your table was interesting and entertaining.  It was nice to prepare your food just like you wanted it.  Dace, our server made great suggestions and her personable manner added to the enjoyment.  The food was delicious as were the cocktails.  The Sticky Toffee Pudding topped it all off.

What a lovely experience! Me and my boyfriend visited to celebrate our birthdays, and we were not disappointed! The food was fantastic (shout out to the spinach and artichoke dip), and the service was also fantastic. Menna was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Would 100% recommend!

Great steak house with good selection on the menu. Friendly staff who are knowledgeable about the cuts of you don't know what to have. The best part about this place is you can have the steak on a hot stone and cook it how you like it on the table, which is always fun. If you don't wanna do that then chef will cook it for you. Came here for my 40th birthday and they surprised me with a little birthday desert which was a nice touch. Very reasonably priced too.

Francesco was the manager that welcomed us when we walked in to the restaurant, she showed us our table and sat us very comfortable the 6 of us. Dace was our waitress and she helped us through with the best dishes recommendations and drinks.
We tried the pork belly which was tender and crunchy at the same time for a perfect bite. We also tried the baked goat cheese which was delicious! The Carpaccio won the favorite of the night, it was absolutely amazing! Well everything really!
I definitely recommend to try also the tuna sliced steak which you get raw but can also cook a little bit on the hot stone as you like and there’s of course the speciality of the restaurant which is cooking the steak on the hot stones with a selection of flavor butters, mix of salts and very tasty sauces to accompanied the steak with.

We took a decent and enjoyable walk , and got attended to quickly and warmly.

The service is amazing and we got to ordering quickly.

We got served in due time, and I will admit the steak was nice but not out of this world.

Overall it was a satisfactory meal. Unfortunately not up there with the best steak places in London.

It had elements of good concepts, the set up, the steaks on show, the middle area with the open flame. A nice atmosphere.

But the steak itself was ok at best, £69 for a single person steak. (Expensive) but didn't live up to the price tag. A decent size but the flavour and enjoyment was as good as I had expected.

Dessert was poor, especially not having any ice cream or cream available, I ate at 5pm on a Saturday. That's not good enough.

Is it worth a visit, I would say yes. Would i be returning, in short, no.

We went to Macellaio RC Soho for a birthday lunch and from the very start the experience was exceptional. Vito welcomed us warmly and brought a glass of prosecco together with their signature lardo candle to enjoy with fresh bread, such an original and delicious touch that immediately set the tone. He took great care of us throughout the meal providing excellent recommendations and making the celebration feel truly special. We ordered a marango steak of over one kilo, perfectly cooked and full of flavour, the kind of meat that melts in your mouth. It looked like a huge portion at first but it was so tasty that by the end we could have easily had more. We paired it with tenderstem broccoli and glazed carrots, both cooked to perfection and a great complement to the steak. Everything from the service to the food was outstanding. A must visit for anyone who loves top quality meat and warm genuine Italian hospitality in the heart of Soho.

The atmosphere is stylish and lively without feeling overwhelming, and the service was warm and attentive.

They have halal options available, which is always a plus. The steak was cooked perfectly and full of flavour, and the tiramisu was an absolute standout to finish. A solid choice for dining in the heart of Soho

Dining on my own at a counter seat, which over looked the steaks being cooked on the grill.

A cocktail and a couple of glasses of very nice wine.

An unexpected appetiser of bread and melting bone marrow fat was lovely.

I then went for the steak tartare, a t-bone with chips and honey carrots.

All were delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly.

I have been to most of the top steak restaurants in London and this is right up there too

The waiter was attentive without being a pain and the other few staff I spoke to were very cheerful.

Thoroughly recommend this place, even if it’s a bit pricey

Bunsik Leicester Square

Bunsik in Leicester Square is a great pick if you want simple, well-made Korean street food. I always go for the chicken corn dog with a drizzle of cheese on top. Absolutely delicious... The bonus is that it’s halal, which makes it an easy option without having to overthink the order.

The space is quite clean and very bright. The only downside is it's size, it fills up fast and the limited seating means you’ll probably end up eating on the go. Tip - take the corn dog and sit on the 'benches' in Leicester Square

Service was quick and friendly. Despite the constant queue, the staff kept everything moving smoothly.

Overall, Bunsik is definitely worth stopping by if you want a quick, comforting bite in central London. Prices are fair for the area and the food delivers exactly what you want. I’d suggest going during quieter times if you prefer a bit more space.

I’d been waiting a long time to finally try Bunsik, and it didn’t disappoint. The shop being open late is ideal for a foodie day out in Chinatown, giving you more time to squeeze in different spots. Ordering is done via a self-service screen, which is quick and efficient.

I accidentally ordered the crunchy mozzarella instead of the potato mozzarella, but it turned out to be a happy mistake - it was still really tasty, and I’d definitely go back to try the others. The portions are quite big, so not the easiest to eat on the go, but manageable.

That day I chose not to eat in, as the seating area looked quite dirty. My only other concern was seeing deep cleaning happening around the cooking area while I was waiting for my food. It made me a little unsure about timing and hygiene.

That aside, the food itself was fresh, fun, and worth the wait.

Great halal food with a Locations that is really good.

Pricing is really good and affordable for the quality of food you get.

The waiting time does get a bit longer and there are times where you are just waiting i side the shop for your order with a typical 5/6 orders before you. They do have short staff.

Eating location inside tha store is a bit crammed as there aren't that many seats spaces available.

I finally got to try Bunsik after seeing it all over TikTok, and it was definitely worth the hype! The Korean corn dog I had was absolutely delicious – the cheese pull was so satisfying and gooey, and the crispy coating gave it the perfect crunch. The spicy mayo on top was amazing and added just the right kick of flavour.

The inside of the shop isn’t huge and there’s not a lot of seating, but it wasn’t too busy when I went, so it was easy to grab my food and enjoy it straight away. The service was quick and friendly too, which made the experience even better.

Really nice Korean Corn Dogs. They have a variety of flavours, with the cheese variants being the best. Service is fast and you can place your order using the touch screens dotted around the store.

It is very claustrophobic inside due to the lack of space. Having said that, you are served very quickly, so it's not the biggest pain point.

Dave's Hot Chicken

My visit to Dave's was a real treat. The food is absolutely fantastic. The chicken strips are perfectly juicy and their burger is a standout. You get a huge amount of delicious food for the price making the value unbeatable.

The vibe is great and the team is really on top of things. I had a small mix-up when I went for a refill and they cleared my table. The staff member I talked to handled it with a genuine apology. They insisted on replacing my entire meal which was a class act and guarantees my return.

Be warned their spice is serious business. The hot level and above bring real intense heat. My entire experience with their full menu was flawless. This spot is a total gem.

Worth the hype.
I thought I'd try this place after a lot of family and friends were raving about it.
I went Monday late afternoon to the Shaftesbury Avenue branch so it wasn't crazy busy.
I ordered the sliders (Medium spicy) of which you get two,  and the cheesy fries.

The young girl who served me "Lil David" on her name badge was very friendly and outgoing. She's an asset to the company and should be recognised for her great, bubbly personality.

Food was very nice and the medium spice was perfect for me. Cheese fries also very good.
Definitely will go back.

Tried Dave’s Hot Chicken and it did not disappoint! The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy inside, with a spicy kick that hits just right. The flavors are bold without being overwhelming. Great portion sizes, and the sides complement the chicken really well. Definitely a go-to spot if you’re craving flavorful, hearty fried chicken!

Stopped by twice during our London trip, as I'm a big fan of spicy food.

On my first visit, I ordered a "Hot" Single Slider and wow it was delicious and to my surprise really really spicy. It brought tears to my eyes and my nose was running; but in the best way possible. It was awesome.

On my second visit, I ordered another "Hot" Single Slider and to my disappointment, it wasn't spicy at all. Just well seasoned (but still a very good slider).

Not sure if the first or second one had the wrong seasoning to really be able to judge the "Heat" levels. That's my only complaint right now.

The staff was super polite and funny, the tables were cleaned frequently times and there was plenty of seating.

Definitely worth a visit if you like chicken and spicy food, but it's just hard to reccommend a "Heat" level after my mixed experience.

I love the bright, funky interior, it's designed very well. My friend and I ordered burgers, tenders and fries. All cooked well, juicy chicken, nicely salty. My only bit of feedback is that the hot sauce / coating isn't hot. There is barely a head tickle. Other than that, a great experience

How terribly disorganised. 50 customers crowded together in a small area, so hot and busy that you can barely breathe. I ordered online and I could barely get to the pick up counter. You can’t even see the signs. I under it’s not necessarily the restaurant’s fault but some organisation would help. I added an extra star for the good food though, better than my local one!

£5 for lukewarm, hard loaded fries that was bearly loaded with any sauce. Also no point ordering eat in as u still made to que at collection to get your order, u just get goven a big fancy table sign to hold while waiting for you food.

As somebody who works in hospitality i have to say the standards of service are low and i wont be visiting again.

We got the flavour mix with blue cheese sauce and ranch, both of those I highly recommend! My favourite flavour was the garlic Parmesan. The place was full of people coming in and out but remained very clean and the service was extremely fast!

Convenient location. Food is very good. Burgers are reasonable (not too large). Various flavours are available between light, sweet and spicy. It is not too pricy. Service is very good and quick as well. There is ample space to order and wait and then go up to eat as well. However the toilet area is a bit tiny. Overall, a good place to sit & eat and food is very nice!

Idk if our order was missing things, but portions were small. The best fries I've ever tried. Seating was enough. Took relatively longer than why other fast food chain I tried in London, but overall worth it. (Still craving some garlic parmesan tenders with lemon pepper fries) AND DEFINITELY THE BEST RANCH I'VE EVER HAD!! I wish I could stock it back in my hometown...
