Food is lovely, egg tarts, eel Cheung fun was interesting. It’s a busy restaurant but they fit us in downstairs which was more quiet. I found the service cold, from the waiter who did not come across friendly, it might be common in restaurants in China town though. Some of the ladies were more attentive. Enjoyed the food. It’s pretty pricey too.

Strolling through London’s Chinatown, we randomly chose this restaurant because it had a nice outdoor seating area that was separated from the sidewalk by a small barrier — perfect for people-watching but set back enough to be out of the hustle and bustle. We had a steamed dumpling/wanton dim sum assortment that was beautiful and delicious. The chicken stirfry was also tasty. I recommendation: do not place your order all at once. We did that and ended up with the entree coming out before the appetizer and too soon after the soup. Instead, just order one or two items at a time and hold off on ordering your entree until you’re ready for it — the stirfry is quick to be prepared and delivered to your table. Also, do not set down valuables like your phone or purse on the side of the table that’s up against the street. Our waiter warned us that thieves will walk by and grab it and run.

I had the pleasure of dining at Plum Valley today, and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment you step inside, the sleek and modern ambiance sets the tone for an elevated dining experience. The attention to detail in the decor, with its contemporary yet cozy atmosphere, creates the perfect backdrop for a memorable meal.

The menu is a delightful fusion of authentic Cantonese flavors with a modern twist. Every dish we tried was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The dim sum selection was a highlight—delicate, fresh, and packed with delicious fillings. The crispy duck was perfectly cooked, with a crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. Every bite was a treat!

Service was another standout aspect. The staff were warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring we had everything we needed.

If you’re looking for high-quality Chinese cuisine in the heart of London’s Chinatown, Plum Valley is a must-visit. Whether you’re here for a casual meal or a special occasion, it’s a spot that truly delivers!

Amazing food, went the last time I was in London and loved the food so came back (specifically for the turnip cake).

We had chicken and sweetcorn soup, fried veg mix with lotus root, fried green beans, squid, chicken and sweetcorn dumplings, soft noodles and turnip cake. All of which was amazing and well worth the money.
The menu has a wide range of dishes at a range of prices. Highly recommend a visit.

Some of the food is the best Chinese I've ever had, some of it is just okay. Especially the chicken with cashews was amazing. Staff was okay, couldn't always answer questions about ingredients which is important for allergies and intolerances. The basement gets a bit stuffy, but worth it for the food that was good. Not accessible at all.

There wasn't anything that stood out really, it was a lovely Indian restaurant serving good Indian food. If that's what you're after then it's a comfortable option.

It missed the Wow Feeling at this brilliant location.

We went for a wedding anniversary dinner. The staff were super friendly and charming from the beginning to the end. The portions were very good sized and all of them tasted great. We couldn’t fault anything. The server also gave us an anniversary card signed by the restaurant staff which was a sweet touch. An outstanding experience from start to finish on our special day. Definitely will be back!

Went to Farzi for lunch with a few friends and our baby, and honestly, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. For a restaurant that tries to come off as premium, it completely misses the mark.

Seriously overpriced, and the food just doesn’t justify it. Compared to other Indian chains like Dishoom or Masala Zone, Farzi feels like a poor imitation. Both Dishoom and Masala Zone manage to strike a balance between great food, solid portions, and inviting atmosphere. Farzi, on the other hand, falls flat across the board.

The portion sizes are tiny, and even basics like naan bread were disappointing. They were thin, small, and not worth what they charge. At Dishoom or Masala Zone, you’d get far better value, better flavour, and far more satisfying portions.

We ordered a mix of starters and mains. The starters were the only highlight, especially the soya chaap, paneer tikka, and mushroom kulcha. But the mains were a letdown, with classic dishes like Rajma and Daal falling flat, bland, under-seasoned, and forgettable. These are staple dishes that can’t go wrong yet they managed to do it.

On top of that, the ACs weren’t working, and we were seated right in front of a nid size fan blowing air directly at us. Not ideal when you’re trying to enjoy a relaxed meal. The restaurant was nearly empty and felt tired and in need of a serious update.

Drinks were no better. The Cobra lager beer was seriously overpriced, served in a glass barely two-thirds of a pint for £8. Loot!

The mango cosmo cocktail (supposed to be made by Gin) was so watered down you couldn’t even taste the gin - just syrupy and weak.

Service was cold and not welcoming, and to top it off, they charged extra for chutneys which is just ridiculous at this price point.

Overall: a below-average, overhyped experience. For the £200+ of money, you’d get a much better meal, service, and atmosphere at places like Dishoom or Masala Zone.

Farzi tries to look premium but doesn’t deliver on anything that matters. AVOID!!

Overall, was a wonderful dinner experience. We did the Taste of Farzi meal with a small bite to start, 3 starters, and a main course. Everything was delicious and came out well timed. Pranav was a great server - very attentive and friendly, making sure we had everything we needed and that the food was prepared well. The restaurant itself is modern and trendy with low mood lighting that sets the tables in a warm glow. The jazz music in the background adds to the warm atmosphere and lively conversations. Definitely recommend making a stop!

Lovely experience, amazing take on Indian food especially with the vegetarian options. Thank you for offering a vegetarian meal that is well crafted. Celebrated my birthday here and they got my dessert out with sparklers  and a handwritten card signed by the team on shift.  ❤️Rashi was a sweetheart taking care of us for the evening.

I dined here last week Thursday and honestly, it was an absolutely spectacular meal. Thank you to Ashish who looked after us all evening - The service,  food, presentation of food, atmosphere… everything was brilliant 👏🏼 Hats off to the team

Food was decent, modern Indian with variety of choices and well executed. The atmosphere was chic/spacious but service/operation was all over the place….Ive been told they’ve only been open for a week … so Hopefully it will get better 😋

We went to Oorja Indian restaurant 2 weeks after it was opened. It was by far the best indian food we had in 3 years after coming to the UK. We ordered Butter Chicken, Garlic naan, Mango Lassi, Chili chicken, and Aloo tikki.
The service and the ambiance were very, very nice, and the location of the restaurant is just cherry on the top. Would highly recommend this place.

I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Oorja this evening. From the moment I stepped inside, I was struck by the contemporary yet inviting design, which seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional Indian artifacts. For a restaurant that has only been open for three weeks, the staff operated like a well-oiled machine—warm, professional, and incredibly attentive.

Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted and escorted to a charming corner table on the street-level floor. Later, on my way to the restroom, I discovered a lower level, but I was glad to have been seated upstairs, as it offered a wonderful ambiance.

The meal itself was a journey of bold and exciting flavors. I started with the agriki aloo tikki chaat, a potato-based dish bursting with vibrant spices and textures. As a delightful surprise, the waiter brought out a box of assorted poppadoms in various shapes and textures, accompanied by three distinct dipping sauces—an imaginative and delicious touch.

For my main course, I opted for the chicken tikka chops with mint chutney and onion salad. The flavors were already excellent, but I couldn’t resist experimenting with some of the poppadom sauces, which elevated the dish even further.

To round off the meal, I chose a trio of kulfi scoops for dessert, paired with an espresso. Just when I thought the experience was complete, the waiter presented a palate cleanser—an aromatic mix of fennel seeds with sweet and salty elements that left a refreshing finish.

Oorja, which fittingly means energy, strength, and power, truly lives up to its name. It’s been a long time since I’ve had a meal with such an incredible depth of flavor. I can’t wait to return!

Booked a table for family of 7 pre-theatre. Had a great meal here, all the food was cooked to perfection and Devanchu (unsure of spelling) was an excellent member of staff, very friendly and helpful. Some of us ordered the pre-theatre express menu which was great value for money and tasted amazing. Service was a little slow but understandable as it had just opened and we could not complain when our food arrived!

The fusion of Chinese and Indian food in this establishment is a gross understatement of what is possible in either kitchen separately. While navigating the complex favors of both cultures the chefs navigate it seamlessly and bring the best of both worlds. Through my wife's and my honeymoon through Paris and London this is by far one of the best meals we've had the pleasure of eating. We will definitely be returning to London just for this food and would recommend to anyone passing through or staying.

Delicious food and lovely service! Crackling Spinich was the best, ended up ordering another portion. Only gripe is their portion sizes are small. They could do with giving a slight bigger portion for the money they charge. Otherwise, overall food is superb.

We were attracted by the Chinese/Indian fusion concept, and went there with normal expectations. We ordered chicken and lamb momo, lamb chops, and other dishes, including 2 desserts -and I must say they we're quite tasty. Flavors are good, and service is great. Now, we payed over £180 for 3 people, and walked out half full. We ended up having a quick bite and drinks right after it. In conclusion, is too much money for what it is. Basic Chinese and Indian
street food, with small portions for what you pay.  Good lunch but not worth a second visit.

What can we say - BEAUTIFUL meal, fantastic Asian Fusion with lots of smaller/medium sized dishes with lots of incredible flavour, amazing relaxed but very cool vibe, great decor, and very attentive service. Have been wanting to come here for a year and finally came and am so happy I did! Came with my Moroccan friend and we all loved the food and atmosphere! So lovely, so pretty and such generous portions! Would for sure recommend - also has vegetarian options. ♥️

The food were really great. We ordered lamb coucous and a platter of mezze. Even my Palestinian friend said that they tasted original. Sadly the service was a bit down due to error in the ordering machine hence the food came after waiting for an hour. The place is really accessible and the atmosphere is homey.

The authentically themed decor at Souk is a breath of fresh air compared to the myriad of restaurants that lack creativity and imagination. Walking in, you'll feel like you've been transported to a bustling Moroccan bazaar.

**How was the customer service?**

Exceptional! We were warmly welcomed by Walid, the friendly and hospitable manager. He added a personal touch to our experience by offering us homemade sweets his mother had sent from Morocco and even gave us fezzes to wear during our meal, he even let us take a fez home with us!

Lighthearted fun like this is always welcome and made our visit even more special.

**And the food?**

The food was excellent! The portions were generous, and every dish was bursting with flavor. We opted for the 3-course prix fixe menu. For starters, we enjoyed Labneh, Hummus, Falafel, and a thimble of harissa paste. The mains, consisting of chicken tagine and lamb tagine, were slow-cooked to perfection—soft and incredibly flavorsome. Desserts included a delightful selection of homemade baklava, Turkish delights, all finished off with a pot of Moroccan mint tea.

**Was it value for money?**

Absolutely. The entire meal, which was competitively priced at £95 for the two of us, offered excellent value. Coupled with the outstanding food and impeccable customer service, Souk is a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic Moroccan dining experience in Central London.

The restaurant is so cozy, quiet and allows for privacy. A very beautiful Moroccan vibe. The waiter was very smiley and kind, the food wasn’t late at all. We tried the sea-bass and couscous and it was amazing!! Reasonable prices, would definitely go again.

The food is really tasty and transports you to North Africa.. A hidden gem in central London that I wish I'd discovered sooner.
The ambience is really warm and cosy, with very charming decor..
The staff are also super welcoming and make you feel completely at home :)
