Really enjoyed the experience and the food. From the get go, the service was warm, polite and welcoming. The atmosphere was peaceful, calm, relaxed. Exactly what you're looking for after a long day and wanting to spend quality time with family or friends. We ordered a huge variety of food as there was 8 people and I was so impressed with the efficency of the service - it all came at once and was hot of the stove. Every single one of us unanimously agreed that the food was spot on, delicious, fresh and bursting with flavour. What was really exciting was when we called the chef , and she told us there's a new south Asian menu being added soon and that as time goes on, the plan is to expand the menu for food around the world. Incredibly exciting and if its anything like the current food, it will take this restaurant to new levels. My personal recommendations would be the chicken wrap, the ottoman empire platter, the chicken tenders and the Oliver twist loaded fries . Although to be honest, anything you get from here is sure to be a hit. They have a cute library where you can sit and read whilst eating too which we didn't use this time, but we'll be sure to attend again during lunch to enjoy some tea and read. A great addition to blackburns expanding restaurant list.

Loved the concept of the restaurant, themed around books which is amazing for a book nerd like me. The decor was lovely and the food and customer service exceptional. We had the secret seven (delicious saucy ribs) , great expectations (chicken and beef burger with cheetos, onion rings and cheese sauce) and Oliver twist hunger games (loaded fries with beef brisket) . For drinks we had the cherry tree which was like melted cherry drops and a Romeo and Juliet which was a passion fruit based drink. For desserts the baklava size was SO generous and that and the sticky toffee pudding were divine. Really enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend :)

Food was lovely a bit too spicy but alright, staff was very friendly, decor is beautiful, boss is also very friendly and nice, menu is inside a book which you can read, has a cool bookshelf inside as part of the design which is pretty cool. The booths could do with some cushions on the back of the seats to make it more comfortable, as a new business im very impressed. Was recommended by a friend and wasn't dissapointed. Only reason lost one star is because of the waiting time for drinks, nearly 30 minutes just for 4 drinks, never had to wait this long for drinks before. The drinks came at same time as food almost this is how late they came. On a hot day people will be more thirsty waiting 30 minutes for drink is no good. This is the only bad thing, which is easily fixable hench why this is a 4 star review, i will be back again, thanks for having us, small teething problem but can be fixed inshallah. Keep up the great work

A hidden gem! 9/10! I returned after a first drive through visit during lockdown but this time it definitely deserves a review! A book themed restaurant from menu within the book to the names of items on the menu. Victor who served us was a polite young man who knew the menu inside out and his recommendations were spot on. I ordered fish bites, chicken strips, a gourmet beef burger and a chicken karai in addition to some mini poppadums. Coke and lemon and mint mojito as well as tap water (served with ice). The portion sizes were generous and the food was delicious, I’ve never known anywhere to get a burger and a curry right but the quality was excellent for everything I ordered. The chicken strips beat anywhere. Spice levels, flavour and service all fantastic. Well done guys, Victor and the chefs for a wonderful evening, the chefs were friendly and patiently answered questions about the food even though they were busy. It would have got a 10/10 but naan was served with the curry instead of roti. They apologised and said that they would change next time if I asked as they usually serve naan which was nice but my preference is roti with a curry.
