I recently attended a wedding at Stanley House Hotel & Spa, and the whole experience was exceptional from start to finish. The venue is absolutely stunning — a perfect blend of modern elegance and historic charm. The grounds are beautifully maintained and made an amazing backdrop for photos. The wedding was organized flawlessly. Staff were friendly, attentive, and seemed genuinely invested in making the day run smoothly. Everything, from the ceremony setup to the evening reception, felt well-timed and thoughtfully arranged. The food was another highlight. Every course was delicious, beautifully presented, and served piping hot despite the large number of guests. The bar and service team were also brilliant throughout the evening. Overall, Stanley House is a fantastic choice for a wedding. The atmosphere, service, and setting all exceeded expectations. I’d happily return and would recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable venue in the Blackburn area.

Room was spacious with proper facilities. The spa was nice and not too busy, lovely view of the gardens! The restaurant was okay - food was average pub food and there was a bit of a wait, but not as bad as other reviews suggested. All the staff were super friendly throughout our stay. One constructive point is that the hotel and spa systems aren’t linked up, so any queries or changes took a while because the 2 sides had to phone each other. Overall enjoyable stay, would come back for the spa!

Absolutely stunning place to stay. Great value for money. Friendly staff. Not far from other amenities. Staff went above and beyond and upgraded my room for me. Highly recommended and will be back for another stay as the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Missed out on the spa bht will go next time. Thank you 😊

I recently stayed at Stanley House for a spa break and, while there were some positives, the experience didn’t quite live up to expectations. The highlight was definitely the food — it was well prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. However, the overall cleanliness fell short of what I’d expect at this price point, and both the spa and the room felt below the standard advertised. If you’re staying for two nights, it seems reasonable to have spa access on both days, but that wasn’t the case, which was disappointing. Simple maintenance and attention to detail would have improved the stay considerably. Although the break was relaxing in parts, it didn’t feel worth the cost, and unfortunately I wouldn’t choose to return.
