Some places need not require a review, they should merely be enjoyed for what they are and that is what the Ritz Afternoon Tea experience is 💕
You get to indulge in some lovely sandwiches, scones and desserts with one of their gorgeous selection of teas in a beautiful, elegant setting. This is an Afternoon Tea that we would recommend to everyone to experience with those they love! It is the perfect place for a Valentines or an Anniversary Date!
Nevertheless, we shan’t dissappoint and bring you a review! 😊
Food: We ordered the Royal English Tea and the Chai (served with milk) which were both good choices. To accompany we were given a selection of sandwiches including Egg and Cress, Cheese Ploughman, Chicken, Cucumber and Dill, and Salmon and Creme Fraiche. These were all really good but some of the breads used were a little dry. The desserts were amazing and exceptionally crafted (especially the Lemon Macaroon!) Overall the food was good, the service was more like it is at a high end restaurant since it was quite busy and the settings just blew us away 👌🏽

If you’re looking for a stunning and very British afternoon tea in a classic London hotel, look no further than @theritzlondon 😍🇬🇧 It was my second time here for this regal experience and I can’t fault it. I 100% recommend for a special occasion with loved ones 🥰☕️ 

There is halal chicken available & gelatine-free desserts can be provided for a halal diet. The food was fantastic, the service was fantastic and I just loved the whole evening to be honest❣️

An exceptional experience again at The Ritz! The Beef Wellington was absolutely flawless—perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and bursting with flavor. What truly elevated the evening was the impeccable service: attentive, professional, and genuinely warm without ever feeling intrusive. Every detail was handled with care, making the entire dining experience feel effortless and special. A world-class restaurant that lives up to its legendary reputation. Highly recommended after coming here at least 6 times it never fails to impress.

We booked the afternoon tea for my Daughter's 19 birthday.
We arrived late due to a train being delayed. The 1st thing the hostess mentioned was till what time we had the table, no smile from her.
We had a table in a corner, which was fine. Our waiter Gabriel was super nice and it made a difference as at first we did not feel welcomed.
All was exquisite, but I was very surprised when a waiter arrived with the birthday cake with no warning 15 minutes after our arrival. We were still eating our sandwiches. We did not have the opportunity to sing happy birthday, and realised all cakes where coming out at the same time. Not a very special experience in the end.
Another little detail our scones were already on our tray, so they were cold.
However, the service and the staff was really good and these details are in no way taking away their values and high end service etiquette.
Especially as we were treated to a glass of champagne due to a payment terminal issue, which was a very nice gesture.
The Christmas decorations were up and the whole hotel felt like a Christmas Carol decor.

Absolutely superb sums up our experience of lunch in the Ritz restaurant. The hotel is decorated for Christmas and looks stunning-each table had its own Christmas table decoration and obviously the dining room looked delightful. Every member of staff we met was cheerful and welcoming-FOH training must be excellent. The hotel was busy-the afternoon tea is very popular and the restaurant filled up as lunchtime progressed. We were in early which was great-the staff welcomed us and introduced themselves to us in a really friendly way. Orlando and the lovely young lady looking after us were perfect and if you weren't sure about something they made you feel very relaxed about it all. The food was sublime-canapés served beautifully. My scallop starter was gorgeous and the Suffolk lamb main course was one of the best lamb dishes I have experienced. You also get freshly baked sour dough bread with organic French butter and we had a second serving of this-in case you want to have all the lovely juices which discreetly told you-it's ok to wipe the plate!! Pudding was also delicious as were the unexpected petit fours. Orlando kindly told us the table was ours for as long as we wished which on a freezing cold day was lovely. Thank you so much for making our experience so enjoyable and so memorable. Ps-everyone takes photos of the food!! Don't be embarrassed!! X
