A great place for a family meal!

Turkish Restaurants are always good places for groups and family meals due to the large platters they serve. We ordered a platter between 2 and also some Calamari. The Calamari wasn’t too oily and the batter was crispy 👌🏽 In regards to the platter, we were a little diappointed with the Adana, which is usually juicy and flavourful, but it was a little bland 😕 The Lamb Chops were good and so was the Lamb Shish. We weren’t huge fans of the Chicken Shish or Chicken Wings, though! .

Testi Restaurant

I went to Testi in Stoke Newington with my mum. We have been going for years and have never had an issue. My food was absolutely fine however my mum ordered the lamb ribs which came very fatty, no meat on the bone at all. May I also add every occasion we have gone to testis my mum has ordered the lamb ribs and had no issue, would occasionally get a couple fatty pieces but nevertheless that expected. However, this occasion all ribs but two were full of fat.

My mum didn’t want to complain as it’s not in our nature to do so but when you pay £23.50 you expect your food to be cooked to perfection. The waitress who we complained to was very lovely and said she will inform the manager. The manger told her to tell us that sometimes the meat does come fatty as its lamb and not beef? At this point there was no offer to resolve the solution by changing the food or offering something else.

We asked for the bill in which my mum made a comment “you have lost a very loyal customer” and moments later before the bill was brought the manager finally decided to come and talk to us. To begin with he was very abrupt in his approach but later on understanding where we was coming from and what we was trying to say. The manager did offer us the option for a new plate of food. My mum refused and the manager said he will deduct the lamb ribs from the bill.

My overall point of this review is not to tell people not to come here as all the other occasions we have been here the food has been perfect, it was just our luck today that my mums food was not cooked the way it should have been.

The point I’m trying to make is we were left to feel so bad for complaining but not only that my mum was put in a position where she had to watch me eat my food and not be able to enjoy her food. A new plate of food should of been offered straight away from the complaint

I hope the staff at Testi and the manager can learn from this so no one has to feel the embarrassment my mum felt

I had chose Testi restaurant for their catering services for my sons 1st birthday party and I just want to give the biggest THANK YOU to Eda and her incredible team that helped make my son’s 1st birthday so special! From the stunning decor to the delicious catering, every single detail was perfect. She was not only extremely professional, but also warm, friendly, and approachable — which made the entire process stress-free, smooth and enjoyable. Eda truly went above and beyond to create a joyful, welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. Everyone kept complimenting the setup and the food! I will always highly recommend you for any special occasion and definitely will be using your services again! It was a magical day for us, I will not be able to thank you guys enough!!

Good food, regularly shortlisted at the national Kebab awards.

Specials include the Kleftiko that featured soft warm vegetables and mash. I couldn't get enough of their bread!Complimentary salad was mainly onions.

No service charge was added, bring cash if you want to leave a tip.

What an amazing experience. I have never been to a Turkish restaurant before and we went here with another couple an two young kids. The staff is amazing. The food was delicious and everything came out hot. I shouldn't have eaten as much as I did but I just couldn't stop. The kids were happy with their kids meals and the staff even brought some pads for them to draw on to keep them entertained. I would highly recommend this place. 10/10, hands down.

Went to the restaurant with my three sisters for a meal. Excellent service and the food was very tasty. Will definitely visit again.
