Le Souk is a Moroccan and Middle Eastern restaurant on Staunton Street in Soho. Opening hours are 5pm to 2am (dinner) daily. The restaurant is neatly decorated in Moroccan theme with wall art and hanging lanterns like what you might remember from trips to Tangiers or Marrakech. Staff are friendly, attentive and timely with their service as well. Menu features a range of tagine, cous cous and other Moroccan affair along with Middle Eastern favourites providing a good range of options for groups of friendly who might fancy dining here. During our meal we tried the baba ganoush with pita. A bit light on the tahini, the roasted eggplant texture was nice and the taste ok. It is decent cold mezze order. We also tried the vegetable tagine neatly served in a tagine pot. The seasonable vegetables were fresh and stewed well. Again, not as flavourful as we had hoped, this did feel like a safe choice for those seeking strictly veggie options. Best order on the evening was the Cous Cous a Le Souk, a large portion of lamb shank well roasted, served with cous cous and a flavourful bowl of veggie soup. The soup tasted great The lamb was tender and sweetly flavoured, we both quite enjoyed this order. In the end, we found Le Souk to be a fair restaurant but less enjoyed than other Middle Eastern restaurants around the city. We probably liked the environs more than the food here. It is a fun restaurant for groups, something worth considering if you are missing Morocco or Moroccan food.

Incredible service, made us feel at home even on a busy weekend night. Shisha is a great price and the drinks are reasonable too. Liked the comfy chairs and the fact that it wasn't too loud and we could hear each other talking.

OMG! We ate and ate and ate. They serve such scrumptious food! The starters are so good. The sardines, the kefta, the fig salad... we would eat first then realise we had forgotten to take the photos.

A pretty cute restaurant that’s always busy. We booked a table but the owner seemed to have gotten mixed up and didn’t have our booking. It’s fine because they gave us a glass of bubbles as apologies. The food was good but wasn’t mind blowing. Pretty pricey for what it is but I suppose it’s got to do with the area it’s located
