Gourmet Burger Kitchen was definitely up there for me with all the quality restaurants before coming here. However, it has changed drastically ever since. We were greeted with the usual service we expect and sat down. We were forced to book and pay before we got the food via the app, which was also confusing as there were too many barcodes, and we ordered from the few halal options availiable. The food took around 15-25 minutes, a bit longer than usual, and then the food came. First, we realised that the portions were absolutely tiny compared to other locations, and we got a surprisingly low amount of onion rings and wings. The K town burger was alright, and thats about it. the onion rings were somehow burnt after being deep fried and the wings seemed to be old and pre cooked. What i can say was the man who we spoke to seemed to be quite sorry and offered us to redo them or give us a refund. Overall, i'd say our experience was quite underwhelming and not the GBK i know and love.

The food was great but this was a frustrating experience for my friend. My friend is gluten free and when we asked at the beginning of our meal they said they could accommodate. We started to order for our party of 13 and then they decided they didn’t want to chance contaminating her food. Before we left they changed their minds again and said they would do the gluten free food. After they delivered all 12 of our meals they came out to tell my friend they wouldn’t be cooking her gluten free meal. It felt like it was planned that they waited until we paid and received our food. While our meal was delicious this needs to be addressed, as the menu specifies there are gluten free options. By the time they told us they wouldn’t be making a gluten free meal, other options in the area were closed and my friend was starving and went without food. Highly disappointed in this experience.

Adam was fantastic! He was attentive, gave great recommendations, and made our experience even more enjoyable. The food was incredible—highly recommend the smash burger with skinny fries and the habanero jam sauce. Absolute fire! Definitely worth a visit.

One person dine in, Thursday lunch 1:30pm, not busy. Burger and chips - £14.55. The cheese burger with onion ring & chipotle sauce (called Taxi Driver) was a 6/10 - decent, not amazing. Requested medium rare, received medium sadly, overcooked a tad. Burger stayed together nicely with toasted buns, although my top bun was larger than my lower, I had mismatched buns. Skinny fries standard, nice, went well with the chipotle sauce which I requested (not charged). Longish wait considering not busy and only one person (20-25 mins). No salt or pepper, had to ask for condiments/sauces. Nice large bottle of filtered cold tap water provided. I noticed a table across from me (6 people), one person had their burger at least 15 mins before anyone else, and they had to politely just sit staring at it go cold until the rest turned up. Friendly waiter. Small restaurant, not much atmosphere. Overall, the burger was mediocre, and not great value in my opinion, I think £14-£15 can go further for a better burger elsewhere. Quite a weak effort on the Halloween decorations.
