Visited Guanabana recently and overall had a pleasant experience. The venue itself is lovely, spacious with plenty of seating, making it ideal for couples, groups of friends, or family outings. The menu offers a good range of options. I started with the calamari and prawns, both were delicious, but the standout for me was the bread that came with the prawns. Honestly, phenomenal! For my main, I ordered the half roast chicken. While the flavour was good, I had to return the dish due to feathers still being present on the chicken. The manager was understanding and quickly brought out a new one. She did explain that some of their chicken may naturally have feathers, which is fair, but personally, I prefer mine fully cleaned. Based on that, I’d rate the chicken roast 6/10. Price-wise, it’s on the higher side, but the portion sizes are generous, so you do get value for money. Despite the minor issue, I’d still recommend trying it out, especially for the starters and the overall vibe.

There were 7 of us friends out for a meal. It was the first time eating here, I liked the reviews. The manager served our table as I have many allergies, he told me what I can and cannot eat. He got the kitchen to prepare me a fresh steak that would not be contaminated. The music was nice not too loud and everyone dining seemed to be enjoying. We all enjoyed our food and we would recommend. I even took a cheeky picture at the end with the decor

Amazing food at Guanabana! I had the oxtail butter bean stew and it was outstanding. The space is cozy (not very large), so reservations are a must. Parking is street only, and it’s BYOB if you want alcohol. Great vibes, warm service, and definitely worth it!

The jerk chicken easily made it into one of the top 3 places I’ve had. The portions are massive. I wanted the mac and cheese too but after seeing how big it was from the other tables I didn’t get it (also didn’t wanna take it home). Would be nice to have an option of half rice half mac and cheese. Plantains were cooked to perfection. Definitely worth the travel, I can see why it gets busy. ALSO, customer service is amazing :)
