I’m in London solo for a work trip. I arrived around 6 and there was a line of about 40 people. The staff were handing out chai to people waiting in line and taking their details to book them in. The people in front of me were told it would be around an hour wait. After a 24 hour flight from Sydney, I was too keen on that, but when I told them it was just me, they offered for me to come straight in to eat at the bar. I sat down and was greeted by Stefan who was super charismatic, made me feel comfortable, and took me through the menu, making recommendations as he went. I took his suggestion of the Pau bhaji and Nihari biryani. Both dishes were incredible. The biryani was huge, and served baked with pastry on top. The flavours were intense, with plenty of spice - just what you want in ann Indian meal - and the lamb inside was tender and delicious. Stefan checked in a couple of times through the meal, addressing me by my name which was impressive considering how many other people he was serving at the bar. He explained the best way to eat the dishes with the various condiments. Overall the experience was incredible and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Dishoom has been on my list of restaurants to visit for a long time and it is safe to say it absolutely lived up to my expectations. The food was delicious and full of vibrant flavour. The staff were very attentive and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very unique and pleasant. The food came out quickly however we did go on a Tuesday at lunchtime so I suspect weekends have longer wait times. That being said, I would have happily waited longer as the food was THAT good. We ordered the chefs special which was a lamb biryani, as well as the masala prawns, black daal, aubergine chutney and raita along with a side of roti. By the middle of our meal we were very grateful for the fresh Raita which helped cool our mouths a little from the spice in the rest of the foods and my spicy margarita. We rounded everything off with the crumble, which was very tasty. I hope to come back again soon to try more if they’re incredible dishes.

It was the perfect dining experience from start to finish. We were greeted by a friendly host who confirmed our reservation and walked us to our table and told us the name of our server, Kiran. She was a lovely waitress and catered to our every need and even refilled my glass of chai for free. The food was delicious, with every item from starters to dessert being made fresh and there were no leftovers! We ordered Papadoms and House Chaat to start with and for mains we had Chicken Ruby, Chilli Chicken, Biriyani with Garlic Naan. For Dessert and in the pictures were Basmati Kheer and House Chai. Really pleased, as we were returning customers and look forward to our next visit at the King's Cross branch. Thank you all!

Well It was not worth the hype , we saw it has some great reviews and as a tourist you go by google reviews, well the food was just at par. Definitely it was fresh so 5 stars for that. Service wasn’t upto the mark yet 12.5% service fee is charged for a table of 2 (you can get it removed but only to see ugly expressions from the servers) Not to forget we had to wait almost 65 mins to just get a table (it was not weekend it was Wednesday evening 7pm.) We travelled from Toronto i must say we have way better options available there compared to what they offered here in terms of cost and taste. Price isn’t a justice either for the quality they provide . They definitely need to manage better. We specifically said make it more spicy 🌶️ as we noticed in London mostly dishes are prepared sweet for some reason. Even after that note food came out not to be that spicy and still we could feel its bland and sweet. Ordered 2 drinks one came with straw other did not(had to ask for it. No cutlery provided until asked. It was total lack of service
