I heard so much about this place for years and trust me it lived up to the hype 100% in terms of food, service and the atmosphere. It was a Monday afternoon and the place was full, thankfully they had a table for 1 available so I managed to tuck in. Ordered their Keema Pav and Lamb chops, perfect level of spice which shows their authenticity. Also worth trying is their Crispy okra and Shrimps. Make a reservation if possible or be prepared to wait in line for over 30 minutes if walking in after 5pm. Highly recommended and I’ll visit again to try more items on the menu.

Visited Dishoom again and it didn't fail me. Waitress recommended me the okra fries (fried lady finger- 7.70 pounds)and mutton pepper fry (19.50 pounds). Added a garlic naan (5.40 pounds). Prices exclude service charge. Service was great. Do note that there is optional service charge of 12.5% in the bill where you need to inform the server to remove if you are not satisfy with the service. However, service is great so definitely no issue giving to them. Other restaurants are already charging the same amount.

We ordered Chilli Chicken and Masala Prawns for starters, Garlic Naan and Chicken Ruby for the main, and Mango Lassi to drink. The Chilli Chicken was crispy and tasty, though not quite spicy enough for a South Indian palate. The Masala Prawns were the highlight — perfectly marinated and wonderfully crisp. Chicken Ruby was excellent, slightly sweet, with tender thigh pieces that came off the bone effortlessly. The Mango Lassi was a pure delight to finish off the meal. Service could be improved — it was hard to find a waitress when needed, and the place was a bit noisy. The table we were given was also broken and taped up, which took away from the otherwise great experience. P.S. Definitely make a reservation beforehand, as it gets quite busy!

Dishoom doesn’t need a critical review. It’s buzzing like the AI boom. Always has a line out the door, especially this original location. They dine you fast so don’t be discouraged by the long lines. We walked in on a busy Saturday evening & managed to snag a table in 30 mins. The vibe of the restaurant is electric, two floors packed with customers & waiters running around harmoniously. It’s really a well run restaurant with top customer service. The menu is intriguing & drool worthy. We tried a bunch of the things - pav bhaji, house chaat, chicken ruby, garlic naan & Kashmiri Chili ice cream. All taste good, but not out of this world good. They do the nail that Bombay Irani cafe vibe & overall it’s a crowd pleaser of a place. Dishoom is an impressive place to visit but isn’t necessarily a memorable one. Again, it doesn’t need this critique as it does a commendable job and it’s gonna thrive for years to come.
