28 day aged premium grass fed Black Angus beef burgers

If you guys knew the story behind us visiting this place 😂 collectively, we’ve tried to come here about 5-6 times but it never worked out, it was either closed or full, and one time we even lost our table just because we went to get money out the cashpoint! It just wasn’t meant to be I guess 😂 We finally made it, so here’s a quick review!

We ordered the Proper Burger and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger. The former was average, nice patty but not as juicy as competitors such as BoB and Fatboyz. The mushroom sauce on the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Burger was very bland, but the actual chicken was crunchy and cooked well. We asked for one portion of chips, and rightly so; it was massive!

The best halal Roast in London in Back!

@properburgers is not only one of the original and best burger joints in London but they also serve a excellent Sunday roast. They have been closed for a year due to the pandemic, but reopened recently and brought back the popular Roast as well last weekend. 

There's a choice of beef or chicken. The beef is a 28 day aged grass fed slow cooked brisket. The chicken is tea brined roast chicken breast. The roast potatoes are good! Finally a place that can do a good spud, served with carrots, green beans, broccoli and tasty gaint Yorkshire pudding that comes with a side of really tasty gravy. 

Everything tasted great and the portion size of the meat/chicken was hearty. Just love this spot and I'm glad it's back. 

Great news, they will be open over the Christmas weekend! So if you want to have a roast dinner and can't have it at home, then definitely book a table now! 26th only! 

Thanks for reading, I try and visit restaurants that all the other halal pages don't bring you! All I'm seeing these days are the same restaurants on multiple pages as they are invites and free meals. 

I paid for this meal in full, not a invite. All food halal. No alcohol served. Muslim owned.

Proper Burgers

Just ordered from Uber Eats and have to say we were incredibly impressed with flavour and overall quality! Absolutely delicious burgers, cooked perfectly, and the sides were also spot on (we had wings, onion rings and truffle fries). Well done and thank you Proper Burgers for an excellent dinner!

Well. What can I say. They named the store correctly. I had the cheesy burger and was blown away. Nicest burger joint in the surrounding area for me. My Mrs had De Vegan (not a typo) and she didn't like it. Said it was just veg in a bun, so I wouldn't go for that option as of July 2020. But for a meat, traditional proper burger. Knock yourself. I personally will be making my way through the menu. Recommended.

Brilliant

This is one of our 3 go to places. When you walk in to the place, you notice the warm feeling and how cosy it feels inside. The staff have always been warm and welcoming and it has a wonderful family run place feel about it. All staff are attentive and the head chef is happy to accommodate any needs. There has been times when dishes have no longer been on the menu but they are happy to make it as per request. It's these little touches that make us return over and over again. I have tried pretty much all the burgers and can't decide on a favourite. The milkshakes are lovely and you must try the home made apple pie. Easily the best I've had and no other place has come close for me.

The burgers differ on size depending on what you choose, however it is always satisfying. The chef knows what he is doing and even doing things like basic seasoning of salt and pepper, shows he understand food. Other restaurants can take note from proper burgers.

They do try new dishes which shows the creative thought process of the team here, rather then serve the same stuff all day everyday.

The pricing is perfect and 2 people can eat well for £30.

Hands down, the best burger spot in London!

I've had most of the burgers on their menu and I can't fault them. Truely some of the best burgers I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

Burgers really are the best I've had, I have been here many times!
Staff are very nice, service is great and atmosphere nice. Highly reccomend
