There's a lovely range of dishes with Southeast Asian flavours, including Curries, Stir Fries and Noodles. I didn't have high expectations, but the Banana Tree Curry with Tofu was rich and creamy and it was really comforting. The Sweetcorn Fritters were crispy and crunchy and packed with flavours, a good little side. The staff were lovely and the interior was aesthetically pleasing, perfect for a group catch up with friends.

Pleasantly surprised by this little location in Soho! I've never seen a Banana Tree location before but chose to give it a go on a whim with a partner with no booking. Some other reviews say the place is a little slow on service, I found it fine but the place wasn't busy when I came. I imagine when it's busy, they are arguably understaffed. The food, on the other hand, is amazing. It tastes great and is presented well and fast and the £10.50 meal deal is a good deal for the quality and portfoon of food you get with a drink. Wish we had one of these in my home city Newcastle 🙏

The food at Banana Tree was quite good. I’d give it a solid 4/5 for taste and quality. However, the dining experience was let down by the extremely slow and inattentive service. We had to wait over 10 minutes just to get tissues, and every time we tried to get the staff’s attention to order something, they would see us but ignore and kept doing their chores, which wasted a lot of time and really affected the overall experience. What was more disappointing was that despite the lacklustre service, the staff still expected a generous tip, which didn’t feel justified given how we were treated. I hope the management works on training the staff to be more attentive and responsive, because the food is genuinely good and the place has potential.

We had a fantastic experience at Banana Tree! We ordered the Pad Thai and Katsu Curry - both dishes were absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The Pad Thai was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of tang and spice, while the Katsu Curry was rich, comforting, and generously portioned. A special shoutout to Paula, who was absolutely lovely throughout our visit. Her warm, attentive service really made our meal even more enjoyable. It’s always a pleasure to be looked after by someone so friendly and professional. Highly recommend Banana Tree if you’re looking for tasty food and great service. We’ll definitely be back!
