Copra is easily one of the best dining experiences in San Francisco. Warm and vibrant atmosphere. The menu is unique — every dish is full of bold, layered flavors that feel both comforting and elevated. The drinks are creative, the presentation is stunning, and the food tastes even better than it looks. If you are visiting SF, I’d say, do check this place out. If you are a local, this will probably be a one or two-visit place. Def recommended.

Dahi chaat is great! Gunpowder vada is pretty average and dry. The dosa is decent, expected better. The sambar portion size is abysmal. The okra in the coconut sauce is nice but portion size felt too small. Overall the menu for vegetarian food could have been better in terms of protein. For the price and hype, I felt the place was lacking. 3.5/5

Very nice food! We got the biryani and uttapam which were really good! The highlight was the shrimp roast. For dessert we got the watalappan which was interesting. The cocktails were pretty strong! Can’t wait to go back and try out more things!

Copra is a standout — refined yet soulful cooking in a stunning space. The lamb was tender and richly spiced, the mackerel smoky and complex, the spicy shrimp vibrant with heat, and the scallops delicate yet deeply flavorful. The chutneys added bright, addictive notes to everything. Service was warm and attentive, the lighting flattering, noise levels low, and the room itself is beautiful with soaring ceilings and lush greenery. Highly recommend trying Copra for some amazing Indian flavors!

Portion sizes are quite generous. Appetizers easily sized for 2. Entrees could be shared with 3. Tender Jack-65, black pepper chicken were as good as it gets to start with. Masala dosa fantastic! Though the coconut chutney with it felt like frozen coconut puree, the only item that didn’t meet the mark, Sambhar delicious. The chicken kori gassi curry and lamb shoulder chettwere so balanced, consistent and delicious. The lamb could have been just a bit more tender. Great service, great atmosphere..
