Service charge scam & misleading advertising Very disappointing experience. While a couple of dishes — like the pasta curry bowl and the prawns — were nice, most items were not as advertised. The lobster and crab soup had no lobster whatsoever, the katsu curry bowl had only a tiny drizzle of sauce, and the tofu ramen with rice noodles was sticky, lumpy and poorly prepared. The restaurant also advertises a Happy Hour bottomless food menu and a seperate 2-for-1 cocktails on their website and on the fork, but the Happy Hour food menu offer was not available when we visited. The biggest issue, however, is the service charge scam. The bill shows a 12.5% service charge, but they actually charged 25%. This has also happened to me at their other Tooting branch for Pasta Al Fuco (inside tooting Broadway market as well, so it seems to be a pattern. Please double-check your bill before paying. My bill was 31.25 and they added on a service charge of 12.5 % when you calculate that comes up to 35.97 however the overall bill stating the additional 12.5 % from the restaurant was 39.80 which when you calculate is actually 25 %. Had such a great meal with an excellent menu at very sensible prices. Would definitely recommend a visit and to get the salt and pepper calamari and the duck wontons! Received excellent service, specifically from Paul. A great lunch spot and I imagine a good spot later in the evening too. Thanks for having us.

Food was ok. Service was also not bad. Didn’t expect more than that. It was very busy at that time. Good thing was, we got two free side dishes as we ordered two main, that was really amazing. But I think the soft drinks prices were bit high and they took service charge though the standard wasn’t up to the level.

Really tasty food, served quickly and did I say tasty? Would recommend you stop by here for a meal. Only 4 stars for atmosphere because it was very loud inside the market at the time.
