Rita's Reign

Rita’s Reign is my go-to - and for good reason. It’s always been fantastic value. Prices have gone up recently, like everywhere else, but it’s still good value for what you get. The Large portion size is absolutely massive - enough to keep you full all day. The jerk chicken is outstanding: smoky, tender, and full of flavour. It comes smothered in a rich sauce that’s delicious, though on the salty side - worth noting if you're sensitive to salt. You can choose between Jollof rice and rice ’n’ peas. Both are excellent: the Jollof brings a spicy kick, while the rice ’n’ peas is hearty and satisfying. The jerk chicken is tastier than the curry goat, in my opinion. Every meal is rounded out with fresh coleslaw and salad, which really balances the plate. More places should follow that lead. Long lines are common, but move quickly - a short wait is worth it. Everything is halal. This place delivers.

I bought the large £11 which said came with salad but when I got to the till I was charged £12.50 I assume this was for the added salad at the end but wasn’t told the extra price? It says by the box deal it comes with it! The meat was tough and a lot of skin and fat. Didn’t enjoy it at all wasted most of it :( won’t go there again

We’ve ordered from Ritas Reign twice now for our office lunches, and both times have been a hit! Everyone absolutely loved the food — fresh and flavourful! Everything was neatly packed, and the team made it so easy to organize for a large group. It’s not easy to please a whole office full of people, but they definitely pulled it off!
