A lovely spot, very picturesque. We enjoyed the walk along the canal afterwards eating ice cream. The eggs and avocado were tasty, but there was too much sauce over the top. It was too hot and overpowered everything else. The eggs and avocado are far more subtle flavours. The ice cream was very good. We bought some brownies to take away and have later. They looked good, but I have to say I did not like them, they were far too squishy and tasted under cooked. I prefer my own.

Lovely ice cream 🍨 parlour offering many different flavours. They even offer an edible ice cream tub. we walked down the canal whilst eating our ice cream. The staff were inviting and friendly. The car park has limited spaces even though it’s quite big.

Really nice food in a cosy environment next to the canal. Staff were friendly and polite and the food was great. They have inside seating plus outside seating too for people eating in the venue. They also have outside seating next to the canal for people buying takeaway ice cream. Worth checking out.

Fantastic atmosphere and great views by the river bank!! Food was utterly divine and the staff were all super friendly, really bringing up a younger generation of waiters/waitress' with a great attitude and such fantastic attention to details.had a great meal here! Also dog friendly which is a bonus! Downside: on a rainy day the toilets are not quite near the restaurant, you have to walk down the river bank maybe 150M? At a guess.

I got my parents a voucher for afternoon tea, and I joined them for the visit. We went late Saturday afternoon; the whole show was being run by a very young team. While they were all mostly hard-working, a more senior supervisor or similar wouldn’t have gone amiss to ensure smoother operations. The afternoon tea itself had a good selection (sandwiches, scones, strawberries, milkshake made from the ice cream and meringue) and was well-presented. I also indulged in a scoop of Raspberry Pavlova.
