VICE Grill (Halal)

Went to celebrate a birthday. Entering the place looked absolutely amazing. The deco was well thought out. We were seated very quickly as it was almost empty.
Looking at the menu, prices were on the higher end but we had the hope that food would be good.

We ordered the sharing platter and donor bau buns for starters. Part of the platter, the lamb chops were under cooked where I could not even bite into it (pictured). The chicken wings however were decent and tasty. Also, the bau buns were lovely.

For mains, we ordered the hanging chicken kebab. What a waste of time. My kids could not even bite into the chicken because of how tough it was, avoid the false social media hype. Also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was overly saturated with what tasted like tomato ketchup under the cheese, this went to waste. They don’t know what they are doing, Awful.  Also ordered the lamb Karahi which was cooked ok however was very tomato dense, nothing like what a karahi is supposed to be considering on their menu it stated traditional karahi dish. Order two garlic naans to go along with this. Once they arrived they were overly burnt. I instantly requested fresh naan to be made. When they came back they looked overly cooked again and tased crispy. I asked why this was and they stated it’s because they are cooked in a tandoor. Would have been better off with microwaveable Tesco naan. On the plus side, the mocktails were very very nice.

After conversing with the owner at the end, it seemed like he was a genuine guy who really wanted us to enjoy ourselves. But he really should stick to his day job as the food industry is not for him even thought the place looks amazing, a bit excessive especially being in central cheethamhill.

We ended up wasting a lot of food which we never do. If there is anything left over we normally get it packed to take home. But this was that bad that if we took it home, it would have gone straight in the bin.

All in, a waste of £86 for 2 adults and 3 children.

Honest review, do not bother unless you have money to throw away and a taste for below average food.

Packed with flavour and ingredients, cooked to perfection and presented very well, alongside them all being a generous portion.

Great venue, warm decor and super clean with a chilled atmosphere.

Definitely would recommend this spot for friends and family and I'm you'd all.enjoybthe food and experience as a whole.

Plenty of parking in the surrounding streets, cash and card accepted onsite.

We looking to going back to try the other food on the menu 😋

We ordered Chicken Boa Buns, Lamb Chops, Chicken Parmesan, Vice Donner and Chicken Karahi.

We were overwhelmed by the generosity of the portions and the superb flavours.

The Chicken Parmesan was our favourite item on the menu, would surely be returning for it.

I recently visited Vice Tea Bar and Grill and was pleasantly surprised by both the food and the atmosphere. I ordered the hanging kebab, which came with chips, rice, and a side salad. The chicken pieces were incredibly tasty and tender – full of flavor and perfectly cooked.

After noticing how popular the lamb chops were, I decided to give them a try as well, and I’m glad I did. They were soft, juicy, and cooked to absolute perfection – definitely a standout.

The only downside was that the restaurant felt quite cold, which I think caused the food to cool down a bit quicker than I would’ve liked while eating. That said, it’s a lovely little spot with a cozy vibe, and I’d definitely recommend it. I’m looking forward to visiting again!

Tried Vice for the first time and ordered the chicken karahi, peri burger meal, and prawns. Unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t meet expectations. The chicken karahi lacked depth and could’ve used a stronger blend of spices to bring out the flavour. The prawns were decent but forgettable.

The biggest letdown was the peri burger it was tough, noticeably pink in the middle, and didn’t seem fully cooked. At this price point (£8–£9), there’s a reasonable expectation of both quality and care in preparation, especially when it comes to food safety.

There’s potential here, but it really comes down to consistency, proper seasoning, and ensuring dishes are cooked thoroughly. With a bit more attention to detail, the experience could be much better.
