I recently had the pleasure of dining at Matka Inn, located in the vibrant heart of Tooting Broadway, and it was an experience that truly exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The menu, rich with an array of Desi dishes, offered a culinary journey through the authentic flavors of South Asia. Each dish we ordered was a testament to the chef’s expertise and the restaurant’s commitment to quality. The spices were perfectly balanced, enhancing the flavors without overwhelming them, and each bite was a delightful exploration of traditional Desi cuisine. One of the standout dishes was the Nihari, which was cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were a harmonious blend of spice and comfort, embodying the essence of home-cooked meals. The service at Matka Inn was impeccable. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. They were knowledgeable about the menu and offered great recommendations, adding a personal touch to our meal. In a city as diverse as London, finding authentic Desi food that resonates with the soul is a rare delight. Matka Inn is a gem in Tooting Broadway that stands out for its exceptional food, warm hospitality, and genuine passion for sharing the rich culinary heritage of South Asia. Whether you’re a fan of Desi cuisine or looking to explore it for the first time, this restaurant is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return and indulge in more of their delicious offerings.

I went here with my family. Its basically like an Asian cafe with few extra bits. There were customers I side and as we were there a smile people kept coming and going. So they are definitely doing something right. For me it was ok, we ordered a few items because I wanted to try them out. For me the highlight was the Paramaribo and I hate Paratars. Decor very good and service was good. Will defo come back to try their chai with some paratar.

Beautifully decorated cafe, friendly staff, calm and relaxing vibes! The parathas were all incredibly filling and very reasonably priced. A hidden gem in Tooting, will be back to try the other vegetarian dishes on the menu!!

Came here yesterday with my wife for brunch. Reasonably priced, great freshly made food and generous portions. Our waitress was also very friendly. Definitely recommend others to go and to also try the parentah! Not only are they freshly made, it's a good size and the filling (we got chicken & cheese) was very tasty!
