Awsome venue with really amazing staff who look like they genuinely love coming to work! Superb service from everyone and food drinks on par... Great place if you are in a group as very large and accommodating but still has cosy feel!

It was my birthday and I got the serlion steak with fries, it was perfectly done and the lime cheesecake was sooooooo good. Live music and a cocktail was a perfect combo. Angel was so sweet and helpful, she made me feel taken care and it was such a great experience!

I cannot believe I've not found The Blues Kitchen before. The service from when we came in was excellent, friendly staff and fantastic food. The deserts are incredible. The restaurant itself is a real mix of texture and lighting. A really pleasant experience all round. Definitely be back! Highly recommended.

Me and my bestie love blues kitchen for the vibes and the quality, and on Monday we had Jules serve us who was just the best! Gave us great suggestions of the new chicken dish and helped decide on margaritas. She made the evening that much better

I tried the Spices Salmon Crunch at The Sushi Co and it was amazing! The salmon was fresh and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice. The crunch added a perfect texture that made every bite enjoyable. Presentation was great too, and it felt really satisfying without being too heavy. Definitely something I’d order again!

I've just visited Sushi Co. with my son, and we were blown away! For such a small understated restaurant with only four tables it sure delivers a fabulous range of sushi and hot rice dishes, with brilliant service. The two staff were both charming and very helpful. And it goes without saying the sushi we ordered was sublime. Don't walk past and dismiss it - it's a winner. We'll be back!

The Chicken Katsu Curry here is fantastic, best I've had in the UK so far - I didn't expect that for a quick takeaway. The chicken was tasty with crispy breading, the rice texture was ideal, and the flavour of the sauce tasted authentic. I loved the accompaniment of chunky chopped carrot, sliced spring onion, shredded pickled ginger, and mixed sesame seeds you get with this. The portion size was great as well, not too little, not too large.

Worst staff at your store please teach you colleague  name called Krishna! Please check the below attached pictures I told him customer name ( Sarah ) he gave wrong bag with name ( Paula ) when I explained him and showed the order again he started abusing please check your cameras and teach how to answer and respect someone! And am attaching the pictures of the order if you get any complaint from customer you staff is responsible for that.

Honestly one of the best sushi spots I’ve been to. The food was fresh, perfectly made, and fast. But what really stood out was the service.

Moztemmel and Sobita were incredibly respectful, kind, and welcoming. They made the whole experience feel easy and comfortable, not rushed or fake. You can tell they actually care about customers.

All our stores serve Halal meat. All our meat is supplied by a Halal-certified supplier in The Netherlands.

A big shout for the staff. So friendly and accommodating. The food was wonderful. Full of flavour, every bite delightfully yummy. We hqd vegan options. No compromise on taste. And ther lime pickel. I want that in a bottle to take home. They accept BYOB too.

My husband and I were initially going to try a vegan Vietnamese restaurant on Kingsland Rd but when we saw this place had a separate vegan and vegetarian menu, we couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the food. The man who served us was very polite and friendly and explained the various vegan and vegetarian options. The poor guy was on his own that night, but he did really well in explaining the situation and gave us complimentary pappadums and sauces while we waited for our food. The food itself was absolutely delicious. We had the vegan meatball curry, the tofu tikka Lababdar, the mushroom curry, samosas, and vegetable rice. Everything was super tasty and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for vegan or vegetarian Indian food.

Grateful for the variety of vegan options here! There is an abundance of choice.

The Vegan mango lassi was very delicious. I also really enjoyed the sag tofu and mushroom rice! I would skip the vegan butter chicken next time but it wasn’t bad!

Such a wonderful place with a really extensive menu and very kind staff. Had the Bombay butter masala with paneer and it was delicious, the sauce had so many flavours. Got the paratha to go alongside and absolutely divine. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

Fantastic experience! The food really good - full of flavor, and served very quickly. The service truly stood out: attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly without being intrusive. You really feel welcome here. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for excellent Indian food in London.

KoKoDoo - Korean Fried Chicken (Shoreditch)

I really love the honey glazed fried chicken, very crispy and the sweetness is just right. Regular size is already in generous large portion which should be enough for everyone. It was 12:30pm  near 10 people waiting at the shop plus the delivery app orders. However I had my food on hand just in few minutes. So they prepared it amazingly fast.

My colleague took me here surprised when I talked to the owner in their language. Actually they are from Hong Kong to escape from the nonsenses and seek for a brighter future.

Just to say 香港人加油 to this shop and the lovely hardworking people!

I bought lunch from here twice.
The chicken was tasty and service was quick. There were a few seats in the restaurant. Its busy there during lunch hours.

The sweet and spicy chicken is amazing and straddles the line between a little spicy and sweetness so well. Portion sizes are generous. The rice is done well for it to soak up the extra sauce from the chickren. The staff are super friendly as well.
It used to be a regular workplace lunch for myself and have fond memories of grabbing some food then eating it in the church garden just around the corner but I switched jobs so that came to an end. I popped by today though as a treat and can confirm that everything that kept me going back is still as true as when I was here last.

We had a wonderful lunch at Koko Doo, located just opposite the hotel. This small but welcoming Korean restaurant, seemingly run as a family business by a lovely couple, offers fresh and flavorful authentic Korean dishes. The owners were incredibly helpful and accommodating, making us feel right at home. A major highlight for us was that they serve halal food, which was an important consideration during our trip. Every dish was prepared with care, and the warm, friendly service made the experience truly memorable.

Peninsula Shoreditch(Malaysian & Indian Cuisine)

We tried Roti Canai here and couldn’t fault it. Really fragrant Dal and one of the flakiest roti I’ve had in UK. The charred bits on the roti adds wonderful flavour. It’s made fresh to order as well so must try if you are in the area.

The Nasi Lemak was disappointing. Fried chicken was frozen chicken strips, the sort you can get from your local chicken shop. The rice was Basmati instead of Jasmine and the roti canai was from frozen package like you can buy at Tesco. The curry was OK but overall not worth the money paid. You cannot advertise as genuine Malaysian food.

Rice and condiments were good, reasonably priced as well. Sambal chili could be spicier and the chicken was not authentic (chicken fingers instead of chicken wings as advertised?). Worth it if you’re in the area and are craving Malaysian/Singaporean food.

The devils chicken was really crispy despite being drenched in sauce. It was a perfect spicy so you could enjoy the food and not sob like a baby at the heat. Good portion sizes too.

Fantastic rice and sambal but we (Singaporeans) were quite taken aback by the fact that the fried crispy chicken = chicken tenders??? £10

Not my first time here and that says how special this place is! The classical hot chocolate taste is very special and good. Worth coming to try. The lady there is very sweet and kind adding the mixture of chocolate sticks to the drinks with a big smile, making the taste rich and high quality. There are also variety of good chocolates to buy from there. However, prices are high and there is no place to sit- this should be noted. The experience would’ve been much better if there were places to sit and relax and enjoy the drinks there.

My visit to Dark Sugars on Brick Lane was a long-awaited pilgrimage, and it absolutely lived up to the hype! I first heard about this decadent chocolate shop on a Food Network show, and ever since, it has been at the top of my list for my next trip to London.

Even though the shop was bustling with customers, the staff was wonderfully helpful and passionate about their offerings. I had the pleasure of enjoying the White Chocolate Saffron Hot Cocoa, a truly exquisite, rich, and delicious creation that I can't recommend enough! Watching the chocolate shavings melt into the drink was part of the fun, and the result was a creamy, perfectly sweet, and delicious cup of comfort on a breezy London afternoon.

Dark Sugars completely satisfied my sweet cravings. I found myself purchasing something from every one of the store displays. It was an unforgettable experience. Dark Sugars is a must-visit destination for any serious chocolate lover.

The hot chocolate was really good. They were really generous with the chocolate they put in too. The staff were super friendly and we had a great chat with them. It was great to see the free chocolate samples as well. I’d recommend it and thanks again!

Top quality chocolate shop with amazing hot chocolate. Got a sample of their classic during a food tour and came back the next day to try their cinnamon hot chocolate. Absolutely perfect and decedent without being too righ. Definitely do yourself a favor and give it a try!

Really disappointing visit, the donner lacked flavour and the burgers both tasted the same despite ordering two different ones. Very bland and underwhelming. The ‘dynamite’ sauce was very thick and predominantly mayonnaise. The box is aesthetically pleasing, food looks like it’ll have flavour, however it is extremely disappointing. We also ordered kids meals and asked for plain tenders however they were very spicy so the children could not eat them. However the chip were good. Overall, it’s expensive and underwhelming.

Looks can be deceiving. Food wasn’t that great, chips were very salty and the chicken burger was tough in the centre and gamy, pizza was very mediocre, overall very expensive for the quality of food. However the service and staff was nice and plenty of seating

I saw a lot of promotional videos about this place and was really looking forward to trying it. Unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing.

The doner had a strong, off-putting smell that made it completely inedible, it seemed either very old or extremely poor in quality. Despite the bright red colour, don’t be fooled by the presentation. The pizza was rock hard, and although we ordered pepperoni, we were given margherita instead. The fries were overcooked and had a burnt taste.

The burger was okay… edible, but nothing special. Honestly, the only thing I enjoyed was the berry cola.

The food presentation looked great, which gave us high hopes, but the taste and quality didn’t match at all. Sadly, I won’t be coming back.

No Consistency in food..

This is my third time ordering from Crave Joint. The first time was when they were based in Brick Lane, and honestly had no complaints – the food was tasty, well-made, and everything looked and tasted like what was advertised.

Fast forward to today, ordering from their Forest Gate location, and I’m genuinely disappointed. We ordered two Crave Boxes with two different burgers, but were given both the same burgers. What’s the point of choosing different options if you’re just going to give the same?

The pizza in the box was paper-thin and hard. Overcooked. Nowhere near the quality I had before. It used to be fluffy, fresh, and a solid part of the meal. This time inedible.

Coleslaw – it was literally drier than the Sahara Desert. No mayo, no creaminess, just plain red cabbage thrown into the box. It looked and tasted nothing like what they post on social media. The advertised coleslaw looks creamy – ours was again inedible.

And the sauce tub? Was there even sauce in there? It was such a tiny amount, barely covered one bite, let alone a whole meal.

All of this for £17.50 per box? Absolute waste. I really expected more based on my first previous experience, but sadly, this order fell way short for the second time.

Crave Joint, please do better – consistency matters

Il been here many times but I can’t lie this time in this location the doner just tastes like them frozen packet ones from Iceland.

German Doner Kebab (GDK)

Great food and good quality. The meat was juicy and full of flavour, and the bread was fresh and soft. I really liked the sauces and fresh salad. Service was quick, and the place was clean and well organised. Prices are reasonable for the quality. Definitely a good choice for a tasty, filling meal. 👍

I ordered a Gym Box (chicken + salad) and what I received was shocking: a container that was about 60% food and 40% empty space. For £7.89, this is not just disappointing, it feels like deliberate shortchanging. The portion was so small it bordered on humiliating – more like a snack than a proper meal.

When I asked for a refund, they accepted it, which at least shows they know what they’re serving is indefensible. But by then the damage was done – both to my wallet and to my trust.

This isn’t just bad service; it’s misleading customers and undermining the brand’s promise of value and nutrition. If top management cares about their reputation, they should urgently investigate what’s happening at this branch.

As for me, I won’t be returning. A meal should leave you satisfied – not insulted.

Till person behaviour wasn’t appropriate, and food quantity was very less put extra extra salad & potato chips rather than chicken which is the main ingredient.

Most disgusting experience I’ve ever had. Opened up my mix doner sandwich immediately spot chicken skin. You’d think it’s a one off whatever. I proceed to go through the rest of the meat, come to find out 80% was chicken skin and raw chicken. Very disgusting. This place needs to be investigated ASAP.

You can have a conversation here without shouting. This is one of the too few restaurants in London where, even when busy, you can easily talk at your table without needing to shout. Noise from other diners is nicely broken up by divides & a U shaped layout.

You can be a celiac here. Gluten free options are plentiful.

Dishes are flavoursome, not overly hot or spicy. The flavours are stimulating & pleasurable, curry heat is very mild.

Delicious food, and GF items are marked on the menu. There were quite a few, which I appreciated, as that’s not the case with all restaurants. I had a fritter (GF item, was fried separately) and a veggie curry (also GF). Both were excellent. Their kitchen isn’t a dedicated GF area, but I felt the waitress took allergies seriously - she asked all of my group if we had any.

This was my first time trying Burmese food, would recommend.

Excellent Burmese food in a modern restaurant with good service and ambience! Shared tea leaf salad, papaya salad, hake curry, chicken coconut noodle soup, coconut rice and crème brûlée between three people. All dishes were consistently reasonable in portion, flavoursome and delicious. The crunchy salads and the perfectly cooked fish were my favourites. The chicken noodles were lovely but I wouldn’t have again (personal preference). Highly recommend this place - ticks all the boxes ie enjoyment, quality and value.

Incredible food at a good price - Burmese cuisine is one of the most underrated in my opinion! Pyae was a really helpful and kind waitress, and Min is a terrific head chef! Dishes were super delicious!

The food was really enjoyable and was great value for the money spent. I enjoyed my meal but my company was not fond of the rice. The rum cocktail was a standout as it really caught us by surprise with how good/strong it was. The atmosphere was pretty loud, as you’d expect from a place like this, but it added to the vibe. Definitely enjoyed the visit and would go again if I’m in the area.

Food was so delicious and Robyn the server, was lovely, explained the menu and made sure we enjoyed our late lunch. Definitely recommend. :)

It looks like carribean food but that’s as far as it goes. The two stars are because the plantain was decent but let’s be honest if you can’t fry plain rain the world has gone crazy.

Curry goat was too salty and full of bones. Festival was too oily and not fresh.

It’s a nice spot but I am guessing change of ownership and kitchen because the food was poor.

"I had an incredible dining experience at negi & nori last night. We started with the nigiri platter, salmon sashimi salad and the chicken karage was perfectly cooked and tender, with just the right amount of glaze. For the main course, I ordered the Miso chicken Ramen, and it was the star of the show. The broth was deep and complex, with a savory richness that wasn't overly salty. The noodles had a perfect springy chew. The server was attentive and had great recommendations. I can't wait to go back and try their tokiyo roll and dragon roll next!"

We went at a  quiet time during the day so there was no atmosphere and it was very quiet.

The menu was extensive and we enjoyed everything we ordered especially the chicken wings. The place is good value for money and was halal. Would recommend to others. 7/10

Hands down the worst ramen I've had in my life. I'm shocked this has a rating over 2 stars. The broth was kind of nice, but the "turkey breast" was deli slices like out of a package. The noodles were overdone and not even actual ramen noodles. Me and my friend's meals were just gross. This gave me food poisoning. Please don't go here.

Edit: responding to the owner's reply; I asked our server before I left if anyone working in the kitchen or if any of the staff were Japanese, he said 'no'. The food is so far from 'authentic'.
It's not a matter of opinion, but a matter of ingredients. Think £1 uni noodle packs & deli meat. We had a moment where we wondered if they had ran out of their proper items and made a run to Tesco since the food took forever to arrive.

I have eaten at a lot of Vietnamese places and this place is the best tasting one for me by far. Their soup broths are very clean tasting, clear and fresh with lots of depth, and all their dishes are cooked really well and full of flavour and served out very quickly. Plus I know that the food is always consistently good and as I stop there to grab lunch at work often so I know it’s not a one off experience. They have very good cocktails too. No oily spring rolls either.

Summer Rolls are proper packed portions! Finally! Bahn Mi (port belly) was stunning. So tasty and fresh. Service was so great - thanks Mark! This place is a bit of a hidden gem in Shoreditch. Get on it!

Huong Viet in Shoreditch is a gem for anyone looking for authentic Vietnamese food that is fully halal. I recently visited for dinner and was impressed from start to finish. The restaurant has a warm, welcoming feel, and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Staff were friendly, happy to explain dishes, and made sure we were comfortable throughout the meal. A big shout-out to Agnieszka, who took care of us.

We ordered a wide selection of dishes to share, and every plate that arrived at the table was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. To start, the Wrapped Grilled Beef was a highlight. The beef was tender, perfectly marinated, and wrapped in a way that made it easy to enjoy without losing the flavors. The Hoi An Pancake came out crisp and golden, with a generous filling that paired nicely with the dipping sauce. This dish stood out for its texture, with a light crunch giving way to a soft and tasty inside.

The Salt and Pepper Prawns were another standout starter. Cooked just right, they had a satisfying bite with a balance of spice and seasoning that made them addictive. The Crispy Combo Platter was ideal for sharing, offering a mix of items that gave us the chance to try different flavors and textures in one dish. This is a good option if you are visiting for the first time and want to sample a variety of what the restaurant has to offer.

For mains, we went for the Chicken Nutty Curry, which was rich, creamy, and aromatic. The sauce was thick and flavorful, making it perfect to eat with the accompanying Steamed Rice. The curry had just the right amount of spice, keeping it balanced without overwhelming the other flavors. The Singapore Noodles were also delicious, with a generous portion size and well-balanced seasoning. The noodles had that slight smoky flavor that comes from a hot wok, which added depth to the dish.

To drink, we tried the refreshing mocktails such as Passion Kiss and Pretty Lychee, both refreshing and not overly sweet. They were a nice complement to the savory dishes and offered a change from the usual soft drinks.

To finish, we had the Mango Sago, which was the perfect dessert after a filling meal. It was light, creamy, and refreshing, with a natural sweetness from the mango that didn’t feel heavy. It left us satisfied without being too much.

Overall, the dining experience at Huong Viet was excellent. The food was authentic, fresh, and clearly made with care. The fact that the restaurant is fully halal makes it a fantastic option for groups and families who want to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine together. The service charge was fair considering the attentive service, and the overall bill reflected the quality and quantity of what we ordered.

I would highly recommend Huong Viet to anyone looking for Vietnamese food in Shoreditch. It’s a place worth visiting, whether you’re after a casual meal or a special night out.

We visited yesterday as a group and had an absolutely delightful experience—everything from the papri chaat and masala chips to the chai and chilli paneer was wonderful, but what truly made our visit special was the service. The young waiter who attended to us—tall, with curly hair —was exceptionally warm, polite, and attentive. He greeted us with a genuine smile, checked on us with such care, and made sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. His welcoming nature added a lovely personal touch to our evening, and we genuinely appreciated the comfort and positivity he brought to our table. Overall, he made our experience not just good but memorable.

Went for a quick lunch on a Thursday. It was quiet and really relaxing. The food comes in small plates. For the three of us we ordered two starters and two mains. Good size portions. Flavourful dishes. Especially the chicken byriani. Lovely staff. They don’t serve alcohol.

Food was delightful, absolutely delicious food. I would say portions are small, not a place to go to fill up

Lamb Kati rolls (£7.95) are great, I could eat two easily, but was saving space for cake. The chilli paneer (£7.95) was delicious, of the best paneer I've had - not squeaky or chewy and with a thick chilli sauce opposed to a sticky sweet chilli you'd find elsewhere.

Cakes are made on the day, we stopped for lunch and some were not available which was unfortunate as they were being made later so that is something to keep in mind. The mango milk cake, Dhooder cake, (£6.95) was perfectly balanced, but I would have preferred the coconut or pistachio - so will have to come back if we are in the area.

Very polite service, apologetic about not having cake and quick with the food. There's lovely music playing for a relaxed atmosphere totally opposite to the busy road outside.

Not wheelchair accessible, has several stairs on the way up. The chairs and tables are at a slightly odd height, with the table being a bit low for the taller person.

stumbled upon this spot because the wait at dishoom was too long, and i’m so glad I did. Came in for some chai and kati egg roll - incredible. the ambiance is really nice and calm.

This is a Cafe style restaurant which has good indian and bangla street food and teas. We tried their ginger Chai and Gurak Chai. Their papdi chat was good.

Half English meaning half English style, half desi. Your traditional breakfast with parata. Eggs cooked perfectly and the main thing here was the sausages. This was good quality sausage which had spices infused. Which was new to me. Really liked the sausages.

Scrambled eggs on toast again cooked perfectly. With desi spices and herbs. If you’re bored of plain scrambled eggs defo try this. The best dish for me was egg Benedict. Perfectly cooked eggs. Lovely Hollandaise sauce. Good smoked salmon. Had a nice hint of kick.

Cozy and cute food spot with very lovely staff! You get tasty and filling breakfast for a really decent price. Paid just over 20 quid for me and a friend.
Can highly recommend the scramble and any bagel!

The Clove Club

I was drawn to The Clove Club primarily because it appears on the World’s Top 100 Restaurants list — a distinction that always sparks my curiosity. From the moment I arrived, the team made a warm impression: they discreetly asked where I was visiting from and instantly shared it with the rest of the staff, which added a thoughtful, personal touch throughout the meal.
The interior is classic and somewhat minimalistic — almost sterile at moments — but the focus here is clearly on the food. The tasting menu I received differed slightly from the one displayed online; when I mentioned this, the team explained that some dishes were newly arrived ingredients intended for the evening service. As a gesture of hospitality, they offered to prepare their signature Raw Orkney Scallop — an exceptional act that set the tone for the entire lunch.
The opening amuse-bouche selection was subtle, even mild, with the foie gras bite standing out as the strongest element. Things escalated quickly from there: a beetroot gazpacho in granita form was refreshing and beautifully executed, followed by English sourdough with Scottish butter — simple, but well made.
Among the seafood courses, two dishes were particularly impressive. The lightly grilled wild Scottish tuna was tender and beautifully paired with its condiments, while the sardine sashimi glazed with chrysanthemum vinegar, served with a foamy sardine-and-whisky broth, introduced an unexpected and bold twist.
Then came the star:
Raw Orkney Scallop with black winter truffle, hazelnuts, clementine, smoked roe gel and chestnut mushrooms — passionate yet delicate, luxuriously fragrant, and without question the dish of the day. It was followed by Hazelwood-grilled line-caught squid with leeks and roulette pepper sauce, one of the most refined squid preparations I’ve ever tasted — sophisticated, confident, and richly layered.
Not all servers described the dishes with the same depth — some provided extensive detail, others only the basics — but all were sincere, warm, smiling, and exceptionally courteous.
The momentum continued with a beautifully prepared Cornish red mullet with rare citrus beurre blanc and rockfish sauce — a superb contrast of two sauces enveloping silky fish (a clear top-two dish). The Roast Maison Garat chicken with toasted hay sauce, shiitake, and Istrian white truffle demonstrated how indulgent and far from “ordinary” a chicken course can be.
The Aynhoe Park venison — accompanied by a standout venison sausage — offered lovely flavours and textures, though not the best venison I’ve ever had; still, the execution was impressive.
The dessert sequence brought playfulness:
Amalfi lemonade with fizzy lemon mousse and Kampot pepper ice cream was an excellent palate cleanser.
A warm potato mousse with caramel ice cream and black truffle was unique, unusual, and difficult to categorize — memorable in its own way.
In conclusion:
The Clove Club delivers an experience built around ingredients, craftsmanship, and quiet confidence. While some dishes are understated and the décor leans toward minimalism, the highlights are extraordinary, the staff are genuinely gracious, and certain plates — especially the Raw Orkney Scallop, the squid, and the red mullet — are world-class. A visit worthy of its Top 100 ranking, and one I’m glad I made.

Had a great lunch here. Top notch ingredients, creative preparations and amazing flavours. Service was friendly and attentive. The sommelière was very helpful. Would certainly come back when in London.

A lovely tasting menu with a few surprises along the way. The extra course of Scottish blue shell lobster was the most memorable, especially the curly noodles in lobster bisque in the 2nd serving. The portion size with the extra course was good.  In fact, most dishes were quite small and light, although understandable for a summer menu, the overall portion could be more generous throughout. The restaurant was situated inside the Shoreditch Town Hall but the interior design was not able to capture the classic elegance of the original architecture. It was more or less a typical London restaurant establishment. Service was prompt and friendly, with a minor error on the bill in the end that the more experienced server admitted the mistake right away and took it to rectify.

We do not have separate utensils, [but only] for vegetarian or vegan, which are kept only for them. We are a small restaurant without the space to accommodate something like that. All items are thoroughly washed, sanitised and sterilised in between uses. On being notified that we have a Halal guest attending in a few days, I make steps to make sure the menu will work for them. We have a 6 or 9 course menu. With 6 course we have 1 meat course. With the 9 course it is 2 meat dishes. As I understand it, vegetarian and fish and shellfish dishes are permitted as Halal food. Hunted wild game is ok – wild venison or wild game birds. If necessary we will order Halal lamb for a Halal main course, and make a separate Halal gravy to be served with the meat, then roast the meat in a separate pan, rest, carve and serve. Please call and give notice well in advance for Halal.

I happened to visit this place after reading a lot of positive reviews and I must admit they didn't prove those reviews wrong. I was immensely impressed with the quality of dishes they serve out to customers. Richmond was the waiter and he was super sweet, quick and passionate. The ambience is also well close to a cozy morning breakfast café. The dishes I ordered were the sausage egg and cheese sandwich with added bacon and the egg salad sandwich. Both these dishes slammed the ball out of the park. The quality of the brioche buns, the way they cooked and seasoned the eggs along with the meat is absolutely worth savouring. A bit expensive but the flavour of the plated dishes spoke louder. Nonetheless, if they increase their prices more than their prevailing prices, it will be an event of jeopardy. In a gist, I would definitely visit them quite often as I'm an egg lover and this place, if maintains it's standard, pricing and quality of cooking and serving good egg sandwiches, is a paradise for egg lovers.

Fantastic takeaway experience from The Munch in Shoreditch! We ordered the chicken doner and lamb doner box, and both were absolutely delicious flavourful, generous portions, and perfectly cooked. Everything was fresh and packed really well, making it just as enjoyable at home as dining in.

A big shout-out to Majid, who handled our order with great care. He was friendly, efficient, and made the pickup smooth and easy.

I really enjoyed my lunch stop at The Munch. My lamb doner wrap was fresh and extremely tasty, and it came out quickly. The place was spotless, and the staff were fun and helpful. A solid choice whether you want to sit down for a quick meal or take it to go — note, there's additional seating upstairs.

This place was across the street from our hotel (One Hundred Shoreditch) and it did not disappoint. Greeted with a friendly staff and a warm smile by all. The lamb doner kebab was delicious and the cheesy fries were a great add. Def check this spot out if you’re in the area!

Great burgers. It's in LaLaLand which is only partially open at lunchtime through the winter. Staff are really friends. The cheeseburger is excellent, the spicy fries are tasty and the Szechuan pepper on them is lip numbing.

Incredible burger and the Szechuan fries are insane. Double up on the burger and make sure to get the honey chilli sauce for the best experience. We’ll be back again (and again, and again)

More a 4.5... Really good juicy burger. The meat itself was a little on the bland side for my taste and could have maybe used a slightly larger bun for the filling that kept pouring out.
Got on £5 burger Thursday deal in January and so was excellent value. Though £14 for a double without chips is just a little too pricy.
Still that's becoming the top end of standard now so if you don't mind that, then you could do far far worse than going here for a bite.

Tried the chicken burger with cheese and buffalo sauce — really tasty! The burger had a nice balance of heat and flavor, and the cheese made it extra delicious. The cheese fries were great too, though I wish there was a bit more sauce. Overall, a solid and satisfying meal!

I had higher expectations, but Butchies didn't feel a whole lot different to a standard chicken stop. I doubled up on the meat, and the burger fell apart as soon as I picked it up.
The service was fine. Not rude by any means. They were definitely understaffed. You need more than just two people on at lunch time. The atmosphere was bright and clinical.
Overall, the fact that I travelled two busses to get here, and spent nearly £20 on a meal, left me somewhat disappointed.

So I absolutely love Butchies. The food slaps, hence the 5 star ratings. BUT I had an absolutely transcendental meal one drunk evening a couple of years back with their now discontinued plant based burger. It was perfect. Cheesy, (fake) meaty, crispy, delectable. It ruined me for all other plant burgers (with the exception of Dumbo - iykyk). I now find that every time I walk past Butchies, think of them after a night out, or see their listing on Deliveroo, I am struck by the grief of no longer being able to order this burger. In times of stress, I find myself longing to call up their poor staff to ask if and when this burger is coming back. It’s been 2.5 years now and I just have to say - Butchies, bring back the damn vegan burger?? It’s crazy that you don’t have one on your menu in this day and age. When my friends want chicken, I want to be able to eat something other than halloumi fries, cheese fries, or mac and cheese!! The burger was so good?? I’m sorry if you didn’t get enough validation for it when it launched. But truly, bring it back, please. It’s been long enough x

All of our chicken is now sourced from a Halal certified supplier and certificates are available at each site. We sell alcohol, but we do not use it anywhere in the cooking process. We also sell bacon in some of our sandwiches. The bacon is cooked separately from other food items.

Don’t order from this place!! Disappointed doesn’t even cover it. Ordered delivery this evening (6/12) and it was honestly the worst curry I’ve had In my life. Lamb buhna (pictured) was just oil and water and a grey colour that doesn’t give me any confidence in its safety. The other curry The Lamb ladyfinger, the sauce in that had also completely split. The whole meal was completely inedible.

I want to wipe my memories from eating this food, not exactly sure how there could be disappointing. Indian food in London, had the popular dishes. Had the menthi lamb which was mediocre at best but outshone the rest, with the tandoori chicken which was super dry, the mint sauce that didn't resemble any kind of chutney I've ever seen on Earth, and the samosas which were like trader Joe's air fried pieces, and the super sweet mango lassi. and the naan was old and dry too, super disappointing but service was decent nevertheless

I had an excellent experience at Sheba Restaurant on Brick Lane. They offer a wide selection of Pakistani, Indian, and Bengali dishes, and every dish was bursting with authentic flavors. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and absolutely delicious.

The service was just as impressive – the staff were friendly, attentive, and made me feel very welcome. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it the perfect place to enjoy a great meal.

If you’re looking for a restaurant on Brick Lane that serves amazing South Asian food with top-notch service, I highly recommend Sheba Restaurant. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

The food was nice, prawn purri and butterfly prawn starters with poppadoms were great!
The lamb shank curry a friend had seems like it was cooked to perfection, chicken tikka ok a hot palate looked good but for me lacked flavour and was dry, the spicy chicken curry was nicely done too, naan breads (garlic) were more sweet than anything else.

Drinks we were told we had two free rounds of drinks and were cans, these came straight out of a bottle which wasn’t great but can’t complain.

Alright so our bill apparently had 25% knocked off the tab but the calculations didn’t add up for me - £129 reduced to £96 for me was a bit steep for what we had considering the 25% off which didn’t seem that way in the end.
There was also an automatic service charge of 10%.

Although the restaurant is great and I somewhat recommend this, I would also try other places to give them the opportunity too.

3rd time here and was not disappointed. The king prawns were cleaned, cooked tastily and FRESH. We loved the lamb briyani, ample portions, even brought our friends here. Pappadam was amazing. Traditional bangla fish curry was great too. Would highly recommend and in my opinion presents better overall value than Dishoom.

I had a really wonderful experience here. Coming from New York and having visited Jamaica, I’ve had quite a bit of experience tasting Jamaican food and I have to say- this place makes great food and prepares great drinks. I ordered a 2 for 1 rum punch which was tasty with a nice kick from the rum. I was accidentally brought the oxtails, I can’t comment on how it tastes but it looks great. I ordered the mixed jerk platter for 1 which I enjoyed, I also had a slice of macaroni pie. I typically don’t enjoy rice but I really enjoyed their rice and peas, you can really taste the coconut flavor from the coconut milk which I loved. The jerked meats were prepared very nicely, you can tell that the food has been marinated properly, everything was tender and falling right off the bone. The chicken was very juicy and the plantains were fresh and crunchy. It was very nice that one of the staff members overheard that it was my birthday and brought me out two shots. I look forward to returning here if I have another chance on my trip, highly recommended. 5 ⭐️ indoor and outdoor seating available.

Went to the bottomless brunch at Cottons Shoreditch with a friend and honestly had such a great time! The food was delicious – the jerk chicken was the highlight for me, packed with flavour. Drinks were strong, generous, and kept flowing the whole time (let’s just say I didn’t leave walking straight 🤣). The atmosphere was lively, with everyone around clearly having a good time. Perfect spot if you want good vibes, tasty food, and plenty of drinks

If you haven’t been here you are missing out. Genuinely one of the BEST meals I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the Salmon and Mutton main dishes with the Halloumi and jerk chicken spring rolls. We kept humming to the food and I’m a good cook but I cannot make this food at home it is THAT GOOD. The only thing better was Shaq and Andy who made our experience amazing! It felt like having a personal chef recommend the best dishes, and tweak their existing dishes to our taste. Their knowledge and charisma blew me away, the service is unrivalled and the attention to detail is next to none. They have won themselves a regular, thank you so so much!

Pretty good food. I got the jerk meat platter (pictured) and sweet potato fritters for a starter. Both were tasty. We got the 2000s menu and it was quite cheap! £19 for a starter, main, and a drink. Can’t complain.

This is our local Honest Burgers joint in the area. The eatery was packed with various offers & incentives for customers. Burgers were actually decent & as expected. We also got some free onion rings as advertised. But ambience inside seemed a tad cold. Perhaps it was due to the time of day, but I must say service was not exactly memorable.

Nestled near Old Street, Honest Burger offers a casual dining experience with a focus on quality ingredients.

On my recent visit, I was excited to try their Halal options, specifically the chicken tenders. These crispy bites were nothing short of delicious, perfectly seasoned and fried to golden perfection.

However, my excitement waned when I sampled the Honest Fried Chicken Burger. While it boasted a juicy chicken breast, American cheese, and a medley of toppings like ranch mayo, lettuce, and pickles, I found it lacked the punch I was hoping for. The buffalo sauce was barely noticeable, leaving the burger feeling a tad underwhelming.

On a brighter note, the mint lemonade stole the show! It was incredibly refreshing, striking the perfect balance of sweetness and zest.

Overall, while the chicken tenders were a standout, the burger didn’t quite hit the mark for me. I’ll definitely return for that mint lemonade, but I might explore other options next time. If you’re in the area, give their tenders a try!

Our first time trying honest burgers tonight and we had 2 double smash burger meals and a side or large onion rings.

Everything was amazing, the rosemary chips were incredible and easily beat any other chips I've had from a food place in london. The onion rings are also great and high quality. I found the burger to also be very tasty with tasty contents.

Overall a great experience and really good value for london.

All of the chicken in our restaurants is halal. If you would like to see our supplier’s halal certificate please ask your server when you arrive. Halal products are stored separately with strict processes in place to stop cross-contamination. Halal chicken items are handled with separate utensils and gloves. Fried halal chicken burgers and wings do not share fryers with any non-halal items. Grilled halal chicken breast burgers are cooked on a reserved area of the grill separated by a grill divider. We do not offer halal beef at any of our restaurants.

Overall, it’s very expensive for what you get. Burgers start at around £12 without fries, and if you want a menu with fries and a drink, it’s an extra £5, which feels steep considering the taste and price are better at other burger spots nearby.

I tried the Mac & Cheese (from the secret menu), which was okay but very oily. The sides are small, yet again priced at a premium for what is essentially a standard portion elsewhere.

Atmosphere: Nothing special. The air conditioning wasn’t working (or wasn’t on), making it uncomfortably warm inside. You have to get up to order at the counter, and there’s no QR code ordering option, which felt a bit behind for a casual burger place. On the plus side, the food arrived promptly.

Other notes: The merchandise wasn’t fully stocked at the Shoreditch location, and it’s not something you’d go out of your way to buy anyway.

Overall, Ghost Burgers is nothing you’d miss if you skipped it. Decent enough if you’re desperate for a burger, but for the price, you’ll get better quality, portions, and comfort elsewhere.

Went to Ghost Burger in Hoxton and honestly, it was great. The burger was juicy and full of flavour, and the fries were spot on — crispy and not greasy. The place has a nice chill vibe, perfect for hanging out with friends or grabbing a quick bite. Definitely one of the better burger spots around Hoxton, I’d go back for sure.

Visited Ghost Burger on Saturday night and had the chicken and chips. The food was great – hot, tasty, and really well cooked. The girl working was very helpful and provided excellent service. Will definitely be back!

Amazing food and service! Tried their collab with Doh’hut and it was delicious. Their prawn tacos were super flavourful and juicy as well. Can’t wait to come back for more.

I dont often leave reviews but I feel this place definitely deserves one! A really cool place inside (perfect for insta pics by the wall 😉) also very clean!! There were quite a few appealing options on the menu and I didn’t know what to go for so I asked for a recommendation, I was recommended the chicken tacos based of what I liked and they did not disappoint!! Full of flavour and I devoured every bite 😋 I also ordered a side of guacamole and tortilla chips and the guac was hands down the best I’ve ever had! Portion sizes are generous and filling! The perfect lunch! I will definitely come back and will most definitely be a regular! The chef was also very lovely and friendly 😊 only negative I’d say is that there are not more taco tacos around!!!

Lovely new place. I'm not a fan of Mexican food myself, and saying that, I'd come here again for more. It's an easy speaking atmosphere with delicious food. The chicken taco was fab, and the staff were all lovely and friendly. :)

Awesome tacos, loaded with tasty fillings. The beef birria was in particular a highlight. Very quick and friendly service. You can't do much better for the prices, especially in this area.

Indulging in the flavors of each uniquely crafted taco was a delightful experience, with the freshness of the prawns and the melt-in-your-mouth goodness of the tacos leaving me craving more. The well-seasoned rice boxes were a perfect complement to the generously portioned meat and salmon dishes. This hidden gem has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. Highly recommend giving it a try!

1 hour wait at 5:30PM on a December Friday. Excellent Indian food in a cozy and eclectic setting. You sit in cushy armchairs as you share saucy dishes across a coffee table. Such a fun place to eat among good company. We ordered the fried okra, black daal, ruby chicken, mattar paneer, lamb chops, an order of rice and multiple orders of garlic naan. They were all do delicious and full of flavours and spices. I would happily order them all over again.

This is a nice restaurant with very friendly staff. It seems to be quite popular, as it was really full and we had to make reservations a few days in advance. The food is good, however, the drinks and coffee were excellent. My friends ordered the chocolate pudding and really seemed to enjoy it. While the dishes aren’t quite as authentic as I expected—more tailored to the local community’s taste—I think it’s still worth experiencing for yourself. Overall, it’s a pretty okay restaurant.

Amazing food! Dishoom never disappoints!

We had the chicken ruby, makhmali paneer, rice and roomali roti - all of which were 10/10.

What made the night even better was the lovely waitress (who’s name we didn’t catch but she has dark curly hair and tattoos) saw it was one of our birthdays and gave a dessert (Basmati Kheer) on the house!! What was already a lovely day was brightened by this gesture!! Thank you!!!

Best Indian restaurant ever in Shoreditch. We had to wait a bit outside and then inside, but it was fine since it was warm and we could enjoy some drinks. Totally worth it — the food was amazing and the staff were great. Also, the online payment option is super convenient!

I tried Indian food for the first time with my husband – a very special experience! Everything was different from what we know of Turkish or German cuisine, very flavoursome and interesting. Some dishes took a bit of getting used to, but we really enjoyed trying everything. The atmosphere was great, the staff very friendly and attentive, and we especially appreciated the dessert offered on the house. Definitely worth trying for anyone curious about Indian cuisine.
