@detroitpizzalondon has been open for about a year now and seeing as I've never tried a detroit style pizza, I thought I'd set plans for Friday dinner. Baked in blue steel pans, it's supposed to be properly authentic for anyone wanting a detroit style pizza.

So I opted for the Red Stripe pizza which was £17 for a large, add ground beef and it's £20 - no this isn't cheap pizza as you can see. *Please note only their beef is halal.* My expectations were quite high and then I took my first bite. Lip smackingly good. That Sourdough crust gets you - so airy snd crunchy on the exterior. Unlike any other crust. Cheese was brilliant and they ain't kidding with the name - was literally a red stripe of beautiful tangy tomato sauce. Often I need to ask for extra tomato sauce but there was ample here and I loved that no ingredient in the pizza was more overpowering than the other. Usually when you ask for additional toppings it's nothing too eventful but these guys are using quality quality beef suppliers and for £3 it's definitely worth that beef. Spread so well and evenly, it's for sure the best beef I've ever had on a pizza.

The pizza itself is a square shape and quite thick so naturally is quite heavy. A large will be enough for 3 maybe 4 people. Got some ranch sauce too and it went well (£2.50) for it is a little steep imo. I'm fed up of most pizza joints tasting the same as they're all using similar suppliers, there's no variety. This is outstanding.

As I type this review the taste is still in my mouth. Easily one of the best pizzas I've ever had if not the best. You can order online and it'll take 20 or so min. Do it.

In a very long time this was probably one of the better pizzas. I've had the ranch sauce so fresh. The staff were really friendly. The place is small but quaint.
If you're looking for a great pizza place in London, I would definitely recommend coming here very briefly. This is only one pizza, but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying more variations. Please give this a go if you're in london or live here

Amazing Pizza, Worth the Premium Price!
The pizza here is great, with lots of excellent options. The bread/crust is truly amazing—it's a different style that's a welcome change. Be warned, though, the food is incredibly filling; finishing a large one is a serious challenge! We ordered two pizzas between us, a trio of dips, and a root beer.
The trio of dips is a must-try. The ranch dip is the best I've ever tasted, and the hot sauce was fresh and delicious. On the downside, the root beer wasn't great (tasted a bit like medicine to me, but that's a personal preference!).
Service was very quick and efficient, though quite transactional—lacking a bit of rapport or attentiveness/personality.
The pizzas are on the expensive side at £12–£16 each, but this is definitely a premium slice and worth the value. My only other suggestion would be to offer a wider variety of soft drink options, as there weren't many to choose from.
I've been planning to visit for a long time, and I can confirm: it was absolutely worth the trip!

We visited at 2pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy, plenty of places to sit and eat in. Free water too.

WOW WOW WOW ACTUALLY ONE OF THE BEST MOST DELICIOUS TASTING PIZZAS IVE EVER HAD!! 100/10! I got the red stripes it was just absolutely perfect! the spicy sauce and the ranch were quite excellent as well😍

We got the Detroit pizza (Pepperoni, jalapeños and hot honey). For three of us we got one large pizza and a dip each. Was the perfect amount not to over fill you. Food came out hot and was amazing.

The service was quick and genuinely friendly. Just to note we went to the Spitalfields location which is walk in only. Perfect place for a small group of friends as the seating is very limited.

Our beef is halal and we also have a lot of veggie options.

I’ve been to Solis  around four times now, and it never disappoints. Every single visit has been consistently amazing, which says a lot about the quality of this place. Honestly, it’s the best steak I’ve ever tried  perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and always tender and juicy.

What really stands out is the consistency. It’s rare to find a restaurant that delivers the same high standard every time, but Solis does exactly that. From the quality of the meat to the presentation and service, everything feels premium and well thought out.

If you’re a steak lover, Solis is a must visit. I can confidently say it’s my go to place for steak, and I’ll definitely keep coming back.

Went here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. On the reservation form (although I think they accept wallk-ins), i have indicated it's for a female birthday, I thought there would be something for her but at least the staff greeted her. ☺️

We both ordered Steak Bocadillo, fritas, limonada, and an ice cream sundae. The Steak Bocadillo was filling although I wouldn't recommend it if you are really hungry. I wish the  limonada had less ice. The sundae has loads of cream and a small portion of the ice cream but enough to just clean the palatte. I believe the price is reasonable, too.

The ambiance reminds me of turo-turo in the Philippines, and the table cover looks like something a turo-turo table would be covered with back home. It was really nice and very inviting.

The staff were halpful though I wish they smiled more although I saw them engaging with other customers so maybe they are nice.

Overall, we ate, paid then left. Not much of a memorable experience but maybe others had a blast. x

I recently dined at Solis and had a fantastic experience! The atmosphere was Amazing, and we were quickly seated despite the place becoming busy later on. The service was prompt, and our server was on top of things.

The food, of course, was the star of the show - tasty and delicious, if not amazing. I had the steak and chips with sauce, and it did not disappoint! The Fanta in a classic glass bottle with an orange segment was a refreshing touch.

The price was reasonable, and I thought the service charge was worth it - the staff were so welcoming and friendly, it felt like we were in good hands. Overall, I'd definitely recommend Solis for a great dining experience! Value for money, and the atmosphere was spot on. Well done, Solis!

My friend and I had lunch together, and the food was absolutely delicious. We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the waiter who made us feel very comfortable and kindly recommended the dessert. We wish we had the opportunity to know her name. Definitely coming back again

Had a fantastic meal at Solis! The food was comforting, generous, and full of flavour. The steak sandwich was the standout — tender, well-seasoned meat packed into a soft roll, with fresh greens that added a nice balance. The fries were crisp and perfectly salted, and the corn with the creamy topping was rich and delicious.

For dessert, the sundae-style treat topped with whipped cream, crispy flakes, and a cherry was simple but really satisfying — the perfect sweet finish to the meal.

relaxed vibe made everything feel cosy and welcoming. Great food, great portions, and a place I’d happily return to.

Took advantage of a warm summer eve during the heatwave this week to check out @batterseapwrstn for the first time! There are some good foodie options to choose from in the area, an outdoor cinema & some crazy golf to keep you entertained ⛳️ 

It would have been rude not to stop by @rotikinguk for some Malaysian food - one of my favourite cuisines 😍

We ordered roti canai w/ mutton curry, nasi goreng 🍤 & a roti w/ coconut jam for dessert 🥥 Everything on the menu is حلال. A cold teh tarik is just what I needed in that weather too 💦 

In terms of parking, there’s only really one option nearby in a private car park which charges by the hour. Even then, it wasn’t very clear which bays were for the general public. You’re better off getting the underground, seeing as there’s a brand new station here 👍🏽

A little bit of a wait but we were 8 people and it was really worth it. Portions are big and fresh. Food cane fast and the waiters are polite and courteous. Mohan was really attentive and kept us up to date while we were waiting so we weren’t anxious or anything. Come for a good meal and a full stomach.

I try not to be critical with my food reviews.

However for the amount of money you spend, I would be very selective with the dishes here. Best to observe what the other customers are ordering to facilitate your decision.

The beef rendang I had was not authentic. Honestly tasted like curry/korma instead of beef rendang. Didn’t finish my food.

The nasi goreng and roti telur isn’t bad; if you’re homesick.

Saw other guests ordering the mee goreng mamak and kway teow.

Customer service is good. Fast. Attentive. Probably this is the saving grace.

Food-wise, it’s probably worth eating something non-malaysian for the same price. Or just avoid the beef rendang so as not to leave disappointed.

Went with a group of friends and had an amazing time! The food was fantastic—flavorful, generous portions, and every dish we tried was mouth-watering. We sampled a variety of items, and everything was consistently delicious. The whole group enjoyed it, and the atmosphere made the experience even better. Highly recommend this place to anyone, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

London food is awesome - Roti King was another in the chain of superhits during our short stay here. Crowded, small - you may have to wait. We decided to opt for seating outside and that jumped the wait queue. Food is fast and tastes amazing. We loved everything - nasi lemak, mei goreng, nasi goreng, roti canai in chicken, beef, and dhal (dal). The drinks (mojito, margarita) are ok, better than nothing. Location is superbly convenient if you are taking the boat.

Lovely food with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Alekhya and Mohan were amazing servers and the food was brought out very fast! My first time trying Malaysian food and will definitely be coming back

Cinnamon Kitchen

We had a great experience at Cinnamon Kitchen in Battersea. We ordered the mixed grilled plate along with lentils and paneer: everything was cooked beautifully and packed with flavour. The food overall was excellent, and the vegetarian dishes stood out just as much as the grill.
Service was friendly, attentive, and efficient, and the atmosphere was warm and stylish, making it a really enjoyable place to eat. Other diners also mention the consistently high quality of the food and the welcoming service, which matches our experience.

The atmosphere is genuinely good and the space is well designed. The food presentation is excellent—everything looks impressive when it arrives.

That said, the taste doesn’t live up to the hype. Overall, the food was average. While the garlic roti and tandoor roti were well made, and the biryani was decent, nothing really stood out in terms of flavour.

Service was just okay—not bad, but nothing memorable either.

In short, it’s a visually appealing restaurant with a nice ambience, but if you’re going purely for taste, it doesn’t quite justify the reputation or expectations.

I went to Cinnamon Kitchen Battersea with my friends for my hen party brunch, and it was a brilliant experience from start to finish. Our waiter, Kranthi, was friendly, attentive, and really made sure we had everything we needed.
The brunch itself was fantastic value. We enjoyed dishes like hummus, beetroot, and Bombay eggs with prata (with the option of extra bread for a small charge). For mains, I had the salmon curry and lamb Rogan Josh, served with pilau rice, black lentils, and a bread basket full of fresh, piping-hot naan — some of the softest and tastiest I’ve ever had. The gluten-free ginger toffee pudding for dessert was a real highlight, and the pistachio coffee was the perfect finish.
Drinks and the 12.5% service charge for large groups were additional, but we still left an extra tip for Kranthi because the service was excellent.
The location is also a huge bonus — it’s right by the river, next to Megan’s at Battersea Power Station, with a free picnic area, a lovely river walk, and all the shopping inside the Power Station. It makes a great spot not just for celebrations, but also for families, couples, and friends to enjoy a day out.
I’d highly recommend Cinnamon Kitchen Battersea for its food, service, and unbeatable setting.

Had a wonderful Indian afternoon tea experience here, the food was amazing and the service from Kranthi was exceptional, he was very attentive & gave my friend and I unlimited chai. We also didn’t feel rushed and ended up staying for 4 hours which was really lovely. They also adjusted the menu to cater to our preferences between meat and vegetarian which was so nice. Genuinely highly recommend coming here for an Indian afternoon tea and will be back myself 🤗

Best experience here today with my wife and friends for lunch. We came here for the first time ever and kranthi was so kind and helpful throughout with the service. Definitely coming back next time and looking forward to the same kinda hospitality.

Megan's Battersea Power Station

We visited Megan’s at Battersea Power Station and loved the ambience, beautiful views, a relaxed boho, Mediterranean interior, and genuinely lovely, attentive staff.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t match the setting. My “Overnight Braised Lamb” had a metallic taste from the cast iron pan, one kebab skewer was dense and heavy, and the chicken dish had a slightly off, gamey flavor. Even the salad was disappointing, with squashed, not-so-fresh tomatoes.

Given the prices, I expected better food quality. A great place for drinks and atmosphere, but I wouldn’t return for the food.

We had the most wonderful brunch experience at Megan, thanks in large part to Andrew, our incredible waiter. Andrew made us feel completely at home with his warm, friendly demeanor and infectious enthusiasm.

His energy and passion for what he does really stood out, it’s not every day you come across someone with so much great energy!

The food was fantastic and coupled with Andrew’s service, it made our visit very much enjoyable. Would definitely return!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant — it’s elegant, stylish, and beautifully designed. They offer a set menu at a reasonable price, which is great value. However, I was a bit disappointed with the food; the quality wasn’t as good as I expected and I didn’t really enjoy it. On the bright side, our waitress Rosie was absolutely wonderful — so kind, professional, and truly top-notch. She definitely deserves recognition for her excellent service.

The food could have been warmer, but it was absolutely delicious nonetheless! 😋 Our lovely server Gili was so friendly and attentive, we need more people like Gili in this world. An overall amazing experience and will definitely be back!

Came to Megan’s for a meal with my mum and sister to kick off my hen do weekend. We had never been before but had the best evening here! Firstly, the restaurant is magical and outdoor seating has a stunning view. Made the most of happy hour and the cocktails definitely didn’t disappoint! The staff all had amazing energy with genuine interest in their customers and fantastic communication skills. They seemed like they loved their job and team, wouldn’t stop smiling and laughing ❤️ as for the food, the best meal we’ve had in a long time. A treat but also tasted super fresh with good ingredients and not greasy. Thank you so much!

Taste of Rajasthan - but with a contemporary twist

Chokhi Dhani London | Best Indian Restaurant in London | Rajasthani Food

Travelled nearly an hour across London to get to this restaurant. Booked as a surprise for a special friend of mine by her daughter who had been before.

I have to say I was very impressed! The staff are welcoming and efficient. Seated quickly. We were so busy catching up that they did have to wait to take our order's, but the staff were very patient with us.

Everything ordered came out and was truly delicious, from starters to mains (we didn't have dessert). The thali was ordered by my friend and I sampled some of it and everything was delicious. We ordered two main dishes, two rice and one nan between two adults and a child and it was just the right amount for a lunch (I hate wasting food!).

The exterior and interior are well decorated, with lots of Rajasthani statues and painted walls, lovely wooden staircase, just beautiful.

Would definitely go back to Chokhi Dhani as the food was just so delicious, not overly hot, but beautifully balanced! Unfortunately I didn't get to take pictures of the food, as we started before I thought to take any. 100% worth the hour tube ride.

Wonderful Indian restaurant with lots of character. Very quiet on a weekday evening for dinner. Recommend the vegetable samosa to start. Dhal makani and Murg Makahn are highly recommended. All pair well with naan and roti. Also try their lassi drink. Price was reasonable and service attentive. Will come back again.

Stunning restaurant in the heart of Battersea. Gorgeous architecture design on the outside. We went a while ago for an anniversary dinner. Whilst food was good and presented beautifully, we were bitterly disappointed when staff refused to allow us to take our leftovers with us when we left. Clearly food waste is not an issue for them even though as customers we paid a high price. The reason why it was surprising was because we have been to more higher end, Michelin star restaurants that  have allowed us to take food back with us.
Willing to give it another shot in the future but not any time soon.

Visited on Saturday, 22nd November evening with wife. I had called an hour before to reserve seats but we found a few tables vacant.
Service was excellent. Even though the place was crowded and buzzing, we got served and attended promptly.

Now for the food. We both ordered Maharaja thali which is meat based. I was assured meats are all halal. We could have gone for one veg and one meat thali but the veg thali had tandoori paneer and paneer kadhai instead of Laal Maas and chicken tikka which we did not find appealing . Also, the main dishes on the thali (such as Laal Maas, chicken and daal baati) if ordered beyond first serving would cost extra. So we went for both meat. Daal, chawal and roti were unlimited.

It was my first time experiencing Laal Maas, Daal Baati Churma and Sangri. In addition there was Gatte Ki Sabzi, Kadhi Pakoda, pickle, chutney and Gulab Jamun. Also usual accompaniments like papad, salad etc.

I must say all the dishes were delicious. I have never had these Rajasthani dishes before so I do not have a reference point but for what it was, we enjoyed them all. Each dish had a unique flavour and quite distinct from run of the mill 'tandoori' variety.

Sorry for the late review but I really had to write it. As soon as we stepped in the restaurant we were greeted with a smile and the restaurant looked fabulous. The food was amazing. We had maharaja thali and the quantity was so much we were really full. Laal maas and kadhi were the star of the platter, I have never had this super authentic kadhi before in London ever. The food was super delicious and out of the world. Our servers were super sweet and they really did a very good job. We came for our anniversary and they made our day really special. I loved everything about the restaurant and would 11/10 will recommend to every single person I meet. A huge shout out to Ugendar our server and Pranavi for making our day.
