Easy and friendly place when you need a quick and healthy meal. I had the burrito with Mexican rice, roasted vegetables, guacamole and cheese sauce. I was with my daughter who is vegetarian and she had a vegetarian burrito which tasted great. We also had tortilla chips, delicious. Portion sizes were generous and the service was quick.

Friendly staff, Stephanie explained all the choices and gave some recommendations. The place was clean and looked very efficient as we ate and watched people come and go.

Definitely recommend this place for its tasty food and friendly service.

Just what i needed so good! perfect with the meal deal they offered, got to try the kefir water (not my thing though hehe) Service great when they came to check on us  I kind of mentioned I didn’t like my drink 🙈 no complain it was my choice but they gave me a Fanta on the house Thank you!

Popped in for a quick lunch yesterday as I usually eat at Tortilla and order the same thing. However, this was my first time at the Islington branch and I was served by a staff member Andreia. Not only was she polite attentive and patient but she was so lovely and encouraged me to try a different combo in my burrito which I loved ! I’ll make sure to be back - really made my day.

Rude manager or acting manager.

While I wasn’t treated unkindly myself, I was shocked by how the woman, who I believe was a manager, spoke to one of the staff members. There was an Asian employee who appeared to be in training, and the way she addressed him was condescending, dismissive, and unnecessarily rude.

It was genuinely uncomfortable to witness. This worker was clearly trying his best, yet she treated him as though he were incompetent, and she did so in front of customers. Mistakes happen, especially when someone is learning, and there’s simply no excuse for belittling a team member like that.

I truly commend the staff member for handling being barked at in public with such composure. Watching this interaction made it painfully clear how one person’s behavior can create a toxic work environment. I sincerely hope the management style here changes, because what I saw was unpleasant and unacceptable.

That said, the food itself was lovely.

I had such a great experience at Tortilla thanks to Andreia! She was so warm, welcoming, and attentive from the moment I walked in. She explained the menu clearly, helped me choose the best options, and had such a positive attitude the whole time. It honestly made my visit so much better. It’s rare to find staff who genuinely make you feel looked after, but Andreia really went above and beyond. I’ll definitely be coming back — customer service like hers makes all the difference

The food not only was lovely and flavourful, the portions were also nice and the staff were very kind and helpful! The new manager made sure our food was to the best quality and that customer service was top tier. Will definitely be coming back soon! Thank you for such a lovely experience

It was ok.  3.5 food rating.  I think most people will have visited one of the many Pho branches in London, and know what to expect.  It’s certainly not the worst Pho I’ve ever had but it’s certainly not the best.  Quite satisfying, and nice enough surroundings and ambience.  Wouldn’t go again unless there were no other decent options around.

I had a great experience in PHO Islington.
Place was clean, tidy and quite busy for the time I went as it was after 3pm.
Despite the busy restaurant and busy Deliveroo 2 staff members were managing very well.
My soup was tasty and full of flavour.
I ordered curry noodle soup with extra tofu which was amazing.
Can’t wait to try other dishes.
Highly recommend this place.
I was given a very nice card from the manager and some local discount which made the experience in the restaurant even better.

The staff are welcoming and unintrusive, I could eat my delicious meal in the quiet ambience of the restaurant without having to respond to staff enquiries whilst eating. My food was delicious and beautifully presented

Amazing service, Tasty Food! My 7 year old daughter choose the dinner spot for the evening and I’m extremely impressed with her palette choices! LOL

Wow, this place used to be passable but can now only be described as overpriced worse than instant ramen. We ordered gyoza and chicken paiten ramen for the tokyo signature wavy yellow noodles. Base ramen cost around £19, with extras and gyoza around £33 for one person (spendy but for good ramen delivered I was willing to pay). Noodles were hard, thick, brittle and not in an aldente way - it's not an exaggeration that shin ramen would have been more enjoyable. Gyoza tasted hard and frozen, similar to waitrose offering. That's the last time I'll be visiting this place.

If you are vegetarian or only eat halal, there are few options here.

The vegetarian option for ramen was not good at all. I understand that the base of a ramen broth is traditionally meat based so I am not complaining. But maybe this isn’t a dish that is meant to be vegetarian, a taste nice!

The other option are the croquettes, curry and rice.
The deep fried croquettes are really really nice and curry sauce compliments it well.

Yuzu lemonade is really nice and refreshing too. On the sweeter side.

Service is exceptional.

Both ramens had a good broth, but the noodles didn’t really soak up any flavour, they just tasted plain. The crispy toppings in the mushroom ramen were already soggy when they arrived. Maybe putting them on a little side plate would’ve helped?

Considering ramen is traditionally a fast food, the wait felt quite long. It looked like there was only one chef handling everything, including deliveries, so maybe that’s why.

Our waiter was friendly, but there is really no need to ask if we want to pay separately.

All in all, not bad, but probably wouldn’t go back.

A great trendy ramen bar, that makes authentic, fresh Japanese food. A must try place for lunch or dinner! Great for kids size portions.

Great service and lovely staff members! I was served by the Andre, and he gave exceptional service!! Will definitely be returning! It was my first time there, he was very patient, kind and explained everything to me in detail as I was completely new to everything, overall I throughly enjoyed the food! I hope he sees this and knows he’s great at his job! Thank you Chillango 🤩

I was tempted to give the food a 4 because of the limited vegan options. But that wouldn’t be fair as it’s not a vegan restaurant and there are sufficient options. Besides the taste and quality is excellent as well as super filling.

This was my first time and the staff were great at explaining the process and options. It is fun and reassuring to watch them prepare your meal and be asked what you want included; an anxious vegans’ dream.

The decor is super colourful and fun. My only critique of the atmosphere was the music was really loud; which was a little much during the day while the restaurant wasn’t full. Great Latin vibe though.

A fantastic experience and I will come again.

Quick bite before the cinema and it’s very good! Saw them cooking all the meat on the grill isn’t reheated rubbish you get in a lot of places. And very friendly staff.

Not as busy and didn't have the hectic rumble of other Banana Trees. So the food came quickly and efficiently.

Alex our service provider was funny and charming. Had good banter and made good recommendations.

The atmosphere was chilled and I wasn't in a rush to eat even with the 90 mins time for the "Bottomless Bowl". I would highly recommend and it's only 5 mins away from Angel station.

My first visit at this place.
Been welcomed by a staff member and a manager who seated me while she could as it was a little busy.
She was very polite and friendly.
I ordered tofu laksa and I asked for no aubergine inside as I don’t like it.
The soup was full of flour and spicy but I been warned and I was aware of it as well but I don’t mind spices.
I been asked if I am allergic to anything and also the special lunch offer was presented to me and I could have free soft drink.
The decor is nice and cozy.
I paid 12.32£ which I think is reasonable.
The wait for the food wasn’t long at all.

Excellent service from some very lovely staff, made us feel truly welcome. Interiors are very nice and family friendly. The food was absolutely delicious, lots of variety to choose from, you're effectively spoilt for choice. The Banana Fritters at the end was incredible and a great way to finish the meal. Highly recommended!

We had the lunch bowl offer on this visit, with some sides. The food was tasty, as it usually is here, with the only downside being that there wasn’t enough sauce in proportion to the amount of rice in the bowl (as a set lunch menu item, there was no option to get extra sauce for the curry, so it was a bit dry). Our server Alex was friendly, attentive, and efficient.

Was really looking forward to a meaty kebab , however what I got was a bread loaded with salad and not a lot of meat

Visited on 05/09/25 around 11:30 AM. Ordered a Boss Box Jr (burger, fries, drink, 2 donuts). They first gave it in a bag instead of the box, and when I got home the sauce and donuts were missing. Staff seemed more focused on online orders than serving in-store customers. Worst GDK I’ve visited.

Great location, was empty when I went there and the food took about five minutes. Delicious as always though. Only thing I would complain about is that the wifi only works in the front of the building and not the back where all of the seating is. Overall good experience though!

Went in here on the off chance as my daughter had never eaten a kebab before and wanted to try one (I'm vegetarian).
My thirteen year old loved it and I was pleased to see that there were plenty of vege options too.  She went for the box, which has no bread.  The space was very clean and modern, just what appealed to her.  Her meal came to £10 with a drink, which is great value for London.

They used to give you three sauces with chips although last few times they haven't given any. Upon asking though they did provide me with a garlic and chilli sauce for free.

The only shame was Google says they're open 24/7. We ordered at 10.55pm and planned to eat in but they said we had to leave. No problem, we just ate it on the footpath outside 😂👍
