Cuepoint- SUNDAY ROAST ALERT

For those of you who don’t know @cuepointldn have started doing Sunday roasts now but with brisket! And I think there’s a choice to have with smoked short rib too! 

Okay so it comes with roast veggies such as the onion, garlic, potatoes, parsnip I think there was & I’m sure there were carrots too & then ofc the Yorkshire pudding & the green stuff. Also the gravy was amazing & the jalapeño jam in the little tub as well was just insane with this, I have no words. 

Also the cauliflower cheese as well? Perfectly seasoned, solid amount of cheese & bechamel sauce so it’s not too rich or anything it’s just very well balanced & a beautiful side to have with your roast.

They do take walk ins but you defo should book online via their website for the Sunday roast to avoid a disappointment in your journey to risk walking in for this dish particularly!

I am 1000% certain if you do go here & try it you’ll be thanking me after

It is a shame we have to give it one star.  We were unfortunate enough to visit for a roast. I really wouldn't waste your time. Cold food. Tiny portion. Looks not even remotely close to what they advertise. Yorkshire puddings were hard dough. Roast potatoes weren't roasted. Lamb ribs had no meat on. Cauliflower cheese was just a chunk of undercooked cauliflower with a tiny bit of melted cheese on top. Staff were useless. One chef was unhygienic. Bar staff eating off the pass. Tried the small plates at Thirteen too and they were over priced, basic and bland. For the money they charge there is MUCH MUCH better places to get a wood fired roast / meal. Go to Temper, Smokestak, or even Hawksmoor. Don't waste your time on this place you will only be disappointed. Reached out to the owner and they didn't bother to call me to discuss. See photos.

We booked Cue Point via OpenTable for lunch. We ordered off their Sunday roast menu. Their oak smoked brisket was simply delicious with incredible flavours and lovely set of Sunday roast sides. Their chicken was also lovely and full of taste. Their cauliflower was a great side but not really a main. Shame they didn’t have any prime beef short ribs today, will be back to try that!

To be fair, I didn’t have the Afghan BBQ meals on a weekday so the review doesn’t reflect that. But for Sunday roast, it was only okay.

There was one choice for vegetarians - celeriac with all the trimmings. The 1/4 chicken was still very red inside but the brisket was fine.

Potatoes were fairly dry.

I wouldn’t come back here again for a Sunday roast but perhaps to try the Afghan bbq one weeknight.

nailing the stumps with juicy brisket, sophisticated home made quality sides and relishes, flying high wings, unique setting on the cricket green. only minus was small buns for a big £10, no platters on weekend (not very obvious on the website menu).

Ordered the ribs- was disappointed. Almost waited 1 hour and spent £28 on the most basic beef ribs. Doesn’t even come with a side, only this rubbery cabbage that seemed boiled, the dip was nice. Not much taste and most pieces were too chewy/over done. It’s located in a bar btw, so a very noisy environment. The smashed burger was ok but the buns were cold. I went there based on the fact that this place was listed “second” recommended place in London for Jan 2025, on TimeOut. I’ll stick to Trip Advisor/Google review next time.
