We had the most wonderful meal at La Dame de Pic. It was a gift from my brother and sister-in-law for our wedding and just the most magical and special experience. Our waiters, Natasha and Alessandro, were friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the dishes. Anne Sophie Pic is a true artist and exceptional chef, she deserves her Michelin stars and more! She is helping people to making beautiful memories with her food and the restaurant experience. She carefully sourced each and every ingredient, as described by Clinton, one of the managers we met when we let the restaurant, who explained all about Anne Sophie and how she works. Every bite is so full of flavour and you can taste all the different notes on your palette. The team gave us a special congratulations dessert, which was a wonderful surprise. It was very refreshing to be looked after a team of people who were clearly passionate about their craft, without having the rigidity that fine dining establishments regularly have.

Everyone should visit Anne-Sophie Pic restaurants at least once in your life.

We dined here a couple of weeks ago. We didn’t know the restaurant was due to close on the 15th February. So why am I reviewing something that won’t exist? Because it deserves every accolade it can get before its finale. What a huge loss to the London fine dining circuit it will be when the last petit four is served later this evening.

First a huge shout out to the front of house. Simply impeccable levels of hospitality. Giuseppe the sommelier. Understated yet undeniably passionate about his craft. And what a wine pairing it was!! Natasha our main server. So relaxed. So humble. So friendly. Just a lovely dinner companion to have.

On to the food. Simply genius. Often the difference between the 1 star and a 2 star can be a hairs breadth. Not here. The quality, flavours, technique, creativity are a million miles away from any 1 star I’ve had the pleasure of eating at. Standouts were two sauces believe it or not. The geranium herbal wasabi infused sauce to the lobster was sublime. A warning pleasant heat from the wasabi was the undertone to a wonderfully deep and umami filled backdrop to what was probably the best lobster I’ve ever tasted!! Next a saffron infused sauce accompanying a very skilfully crafted piece of turbot. The depth of flavour chef extracted was just so impressive. And the humble artichoke was taken to a cosmic level. Sweet notes to a savoury dish.

I could wax lyrical but I’ll stop there. You won’t be able to visit the restaurant any longer after today the 15th February. If only we’d discovered it before….

I had the 6-course menu for lunch, and everything I ate was delicious. I drank a glass of champagne and was pleasantly surprised to have received a cake for my birthday. The service was impeccable, and the setting was beautiful. I absolutely loved it.

I must say, the culinary experience at this restaurant is truly exceptional. Every dish we tried was executed to perfection, and the presentation of each plate was simply stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine pairing, and the non-alcoholic pairing offered a refreshing and delightful alternative.

However, while the food and drink were outstanding, the ambiance fell short of the high standards one might expect from a Michelin 2-star establishment. The atmosphere felt rather casual and lacked the unique flair that sets top-tier dining experiences apart. It seemed like we could have been dining anywhere else in London. Overall, a fantastic culinary journey, though the ambiance didn’t quite match the excellence of the cuisine

We have designated storage and prep areas for Halal meat and it would not go into contact with anything else. The places in which the meat is prepared and the utensils used are thoroughly cleaned. However, we do not have a separate Halal kitchen. Should a guest request Halal food within one of our restaurants, we can, of course, also order Halal meals from an external caterer which can be brought into any of our restaurants; but would not be prepared by our teams.
