Great spot on 2nd ave. While Turkish cuisine is often associated with meat (kebabs, lamb), don’t sleep on their vegetarian offerings. The gavurdagi salatasi (cucumber, tomato, red onion, parsley, walnut, bell peppers in a pomegranate sauce) is a fantastic salad, and their eggplant dishes are also superb. The place also has a rooftop deck (partially covered) which provides some distance from the sidewalk bustle (and apparently the threat of car collisions). Most of the times when you dine in you also get this amazing bread with a very thin crust that inflates like a balloon - I don’t know the name but you should ask for it :) Recommended dishes: - gavurdagi salatasi -chicken chops - eggplant in tomato sauce -lahmacun (flatbread with ground lamb) -lamb shank wrapped in eggplant

I totally recommend it, I am from Turkey and this place has the most authentic Turkish food in NYC. Everything here is good, from the appetizers to the desserts, just delicious. I keep bringing my friends here and they love it every time.

A bit of a disappointment. We ordered Сoban kavurma and Alibaba special pide, the aroma was soooo delicious and the view is very appetizing, until they tasted ... the kavurma was oversalted.... Drinking ayran little help to softened the salt. Pide is so-so, it could be better. But most disappointing was the way coffee and tea were served. Since this is a Turkish restaurant, tea was expected in traditional Turkish glasses ... and coffee was served on a saucer and a mug. After I asked: Where are the traditional cups of tea? "I was served jumping. And it all starts with little things ... Meeting guests is also important ... Where is the warm Turkish hospitality, joy and warmth ... as a conclusion, three stars, we ate, although it could have been better.

This place is amazing. When I crave Turkish cooking I come here. The food, every single thing, is cooked fresh seasoned to perfection and is well done. The pit the perfect amount of goodness. When in queens, GO HERE!

Don’t know how the other reviews are so good but we have had better Turkish food. The starters were good but the actual entrees were mediocre. Specially for vegetarian people. Also, it’s expensive $23 for falafel dinner which literally is just 5 falafel balls in a hummus plate, you have to order rice separately. On top of that the service is excruciatingly slow. We were just sitting there and waiting after every course. May be it’s the pandemic but not going there
