I recently tried the Hainanese Chicken Rice at Mei Mei, and it was absolutely delicious! The dish was wonderfully tasty and incredibly flavourful. A definite must-try for anyone looking for Singaporean flavours.

The food is alright. My chicken rice was tasteful albeit not even being warm. Kaya toast was yum, reminds me of home but, very pricey. As a tourist - it’s suffice. I notice other comments about not accepting cash being tourist. Yes I always carry cash with me but that’s a pathetic reason to give a venue low rating. It’s called a Travel card that doesn’t have international transaction fees, it’s not hard to google to find out about it.

I love the food and drinks at Mei Mei! Especially the Iced Bandung! 🌸 When I fly to London, I go there at least once. The Hainanese Chicken Rice is not simply rice with chicken, it‘s more than that. 😌

Fantastic food with proper authentic Singaporean flavours! I especially loved the chicken rice – so tasty and comforting. I had the iced milk tea this time, which was nice, but I must say the hot milk tea I had on a previous visit was even better. Just a heads-up: seating is quite limited, so it’s worth planning ahead if you’re coming during peak times.

Extremely disappointing. Having spent half my life in Malaysia and the other half in the UK, I am very familiar with the cuisine and unfortunately, this experience fell far short. The teh peng at £6.50 was incredibly watered down, easily the worst I have had. The nasi lemak at £15.50 lacked a sufficient amount of sambal, leaving the dish flat and unmemorable. This place used to be good a few years ago, but sadly, that’s no longer the case. I have no issue with the prices if the quality and flavour were there, but they simply weren’t.
