If you're in the mood for excellent quality Indian food with very professional service in an upmarket but relaxed atmosphere - this is the place! The menu is well curated with a good selection of meat, fish & vegetarian options - all of which were delicious. I was very impressed with the standard of service, politeness and knowledge by the waiters. The restaurant wasn't too loud nor overheated and the interiors lent itself to an understated elegance with very comfortable seating and table size. Highly recommended!

If you can only choose one cuisine in London, make it Indian. Kanishka by Atul Kochhar delivers creativity, distinctiveness, and truly memorable flavours you won’t easily anywhere else. Every dish—from the halibut to the scallops—is beautifully presented and expertly balanced. Desserts are exceptional, each leaving a lasting impression. Service is warm and attentive without the slightest hint of Michelin pretension. The only downside is how popular it is, so booking ahead is essential. An outstanding dining experience all around.

The location is also great, just off Regent Street. Chicken Tikka Pie: The staff kindly let us try it. The puff pastry on top was wonderfully fragrant, crispy but not greasy, and the filling inside was rich and flavorful. Tandoori Monkfish: This one was really well done. There was sauce at the bottom of the plate, and even eating the monkfish on its own, the seasoning was excellent! Jalpari Nilgiri: A must-try for scallop lovers! Three pieces per portion, beautifully tender in texture, enhanced with seaweed for extra flavor. Laal Maas: The portion of lamb was very generous. It’s seasoned with special Indian spices, giving it a nice spicy aroma. If you like rich sauces, you can even add more! 📍Kanishka by Atul Kochhar, 17–19 Maddox St, London W1S 2QH

I went here for lunch with my wife - it was amazing!! Each dish was tasty, fresh, it’s one of the best tasting meals I’ve had and I could not fault any of the beautiful made food. Lamb cooked to perfection, a delicious chicken curry, fresh garlic and coriander naan bread, to perfect Dahl this whole experience was delicious. Whilst writing this review and thinking about it now, I know I need to re-book and go again!! The staff are also so kind and polite, they really are attentive and look after you, the venue itself is beautiful and the ambiance is so relaxed with great music and decor, the paintings on the walls are beautiful! I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - everything was perfect and just what the wife and I needed…. We will be back for sure - thank you for a wonderful lunch to the Kanishka staff and chefs

London’s getting cold and grey, and honestly nothing beats a proper curry to lift the mood! Kanishka by Atul Kochhar hits that sweet spot, refined but not pretentious. Loved the warm lighting, beautiful art on the walls and the super friendly staff. Feels cosy but still special enough for a date night. Highlights for me: Chicken Tikka Pie (British pie meets Indian curry, genius!), Tandoori Monkfish and their signature Black Daal with that subtle smoky flavour. It’s run by a Michelin-starred chef, but still feels relaxed and welcoming.
