We came here to try Surinamese dishes. Both dishes were absolutely fantastic! The Saoto Soup has a rich broth with great toppings, and the Pom was delicious with its crispy skin and tender meat. What's even better is that the owner is very passionate and shared a lot of knowledge about Surinamese food, making the dining experience even more special. Highly recommend!

Great Customer service! This was our first time having Surinamese food and Camala was very friendly and helpful! She educated us on the culture and the influences of Surinamese food. The food was also exceptional! The chicken was tender and everything was so flavorful!

I recently visited a fairly new establishment located in Richmond Hill on the famous Liberty Avenue. Having never tried Surinamese cuisine before, I was excited to try a variety of dishes. Upon entering, I immediately felt a warm and homey vibe. The restaurant is small and intimate, with dim lighting adding a cozy touch to the dining area. Though I hadn't met the owner before, Neil greeted my nieces and me with genuine warmth and a constant smile. He gave us excellent recommendations and took the time to explain the ingredients in each dish. We decided to try a few items and were pleasantly surprised by the experience. Every dish had its own unique flavor and blend of spices. My personal favorites were the kippenworst and the Hong Kong nasi. While waiting for our order, I noticed a steady flow of people coming in, either picking up food or placing new orders. Delivery drivers were also constantly coming and going. It was clear from the activity that this spot is popular, which gave me confidence in the quality of the food. The wait time was slightly longer than expected, but Neil, the owner, let us know that some dishes are made fresh, which we appreciated. The pricing is a bit higher than what you might find at other Caribbean, Trinidadian, or Guyanese spots, but considering how rare Surinamese cuisine is in the area, it felt justified. You're paying for authentic, high-quality food, and this place did deliver. Overall, it was a hit, and I'd highly recommend checking it out!

Great energy, friendly staff and delicious meals to choose from. The hookah is really good and they always change coals for you frequently. Great service overall.
