Food: Although we’re not fans of Turkish and Mediterranean food, we decided to give Tarshish a try. The Crispy Squid was cooked well and had just enough lemon juice. The Bulgur Rice had a kick, and the Chips were delicious. However, the actual mains, (we ordered the Adana Shish and Iskender Kebab) were both a little bit bland, and the Mac and Cheese was not amazing either; not sure why we could taste cinammon with each bite 🤔
Service: It was really busy on the evening we went therefore it took a while to catch the attention of the waiters.

I'm often asked for recommendation for a celebration meal for a birthday or special occasion and I think @tarshishlondon is a place that's makes a good choice. Located near Wood Green Station and with a car park available, the restaurant has a full halal menu and nice vibe and settings.⠀

The food is best described as Turkish and very meat heavy menu, with little options if you are a vegan! I had a selection of starters, some classic Turkish dishes and some with a little twist. ⠀

I got 3 main courses, I decided to get the mix grill,  being objective with just the food, it was just middle of the road in terms of taste. It consisted of chicken and lamb shish with a juicy anada kofeta Kebab, at just under £24 I expected better flavours, especially from the Andana kebab. I actually took most of it home and eat it the next day and surprisingly tasted much better. ⠀

Lamb saddle £22, is something I don't see much on menus, it was cooked to a perfect medium, but I didn't get much flavour from the lamb. It was meant to have harrisa but I didn't get much from it. ⠀

A massive let down was the chicken lollipop, a dish that had the makings of something special but just didn't work, the chicken was cooked well, tender and juicy, it just a lacked in the flavour department, very under seasoned and the mushroom sauce lacked any flavour at all. ⠀

Overall, in my experience, restaurants that have a really good atmosphere and environment tend to have food that doesn't match the standards of the surroundings. This in my opinion is one such place. I'm not saying the food was bad, its just I think the prices are more for the experience rather than food quality.⠀

So yeah, great for a girly night out or as my wife says a good reason to put fake lashes on. Dark moody lighting, live dj, good service and overall nice atmosphere. ⠀

I was recently invited to @tarshishlondon to try their revamped menu from my last visit a couple of years ago. I could not WAIT & was certainly not disappointed❣️

We ordered the following:
✨ Spicy chicken bao buns
✨ Harissa king prawns w/ wilted spinach
✨ Beef sliders 
✨ Lamb beyti w/ bulgar pilav
✨ Pan fried sea bass
✨ Mac & cheese
✨ Delicious refreshing mocktails 

Each & every item was so satisfyingly tasty 🤤 My only feedback would be that the beef sliders were slightly overdone and not the *melt in your mouth* type of meat I was expecting… perhaps because I’m comparing to pulled beef sliders I have had elsewhere, as opposed to the burger type 🍔

I 100% cannot wait to go back 😍 I’m so gutted that there was no room left for dessert, which I will certainly be eyeing up next time 👀 

The service was excellent with really attentive waiting staff. All of the food served here is حلال. You can dine Al Fresco when the weather is nice & there is a private room available to hire for special events 🥳

Asian cuisine at a Turkish restaurant? That's exactly what @tarshishlondon has launched with their new Asian inspired menu, and I have to say, it was darn good.

@tarshishlondon is aesthetically gorgeous and serves contemporary and elegantly presented Turkish cuisine.

Here are the items we tried from the Asian Menu:

PADRON LAMB £10.00
CHICKEN TERIYAKI £9.00
SPICY CHICKEN BAO BUN £10.00

Items from their normal menu:

BEEF SLIDERS £10.50
MIXED GRILL £26.5
LAMB CHOPS £27.00
BAKLAVA £9.00
LEMON & LIME CHEESECAKE £7.00

Their Asian Menu will be updated quite regularly, so I'm excited to see what other new dishes they will add.

My one criticism is that ONLY on this occasion, the service was not as good as what I'm use to when visiting @tarshishlondon. Think we just got unlucky this time round.

Nonetheless, whether you like or dislike Turkish food,  @tarshishlondon is still a good option, especially now that they have a New Asian menu.

Tarshish

An upscale Turkish restaurant run by the owners of Gokyuzu. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with cosy décor and a pleasant vibe. Service was friendly and welcoming. The food was decent, nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable nonetheless. Prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. Would I go back? Probably yes, only if they add some unique Turkish dishes to the menu.

Very good restaurant. Perfect for birthday dinners with friends and loved ones. Not busy on a Monday night, practically had the restaurant to ourselves. Atmosphere was nice, food was nice and the service was amazing. Had our drinks served by Raj and he was a fabulous bartender. His cocktails were perfectly sweet and strong. Will definitely be coming back here!

Had a takeaway. Shish cops with rich. The food was lovely, but no extra pitta was supplied. The salad was nice and chips were good.
Rcommeded is you can do stairs and pay £30.00 foe a kebab.

I went here for my friend's engagement dinner and was very impressed. The menu had a decent selection to choose from and was very high quality. I really enjoyed the butterfly sea bass. The drink menu was good though a bit limited but the host Raj made me a special rum.

The venue was high standards and very comfortable.

Definitely recommend!

Had full experience this afternoon with my family at Tarshish. The food was really good and we were served by Tamas who made sure that all was good at our table. We then  stopped by the bar and was served by Raj who made us speciality cocktails which tasted really good. Overall, a really nice experience will continue to come here.
