I've dined at Zheng (Chelsea) several times and I'm always delighted. Most recently I went there with my family for my birthday and the food was great. There is a very decent variety of foods available to pick from. They also have select dishes that are available in gluten free options. The staff are super lovely too and I'm always so grateful for how well they look after us when we dine there, especially on special occassions. Thank you!

I used to be a regular at Zheng, but I won’t be coming back anytime soon. For a place that markets itself as “fine dining,” the experience felt rushed and unwelcoming. Our food arrived almost immediately and the crispy beef was cold — the waiter offered to reheat it instead of replacing it. The food didn’t taste fresh, and I never received the drink I ordered. I’ve had great experiences here in the past, but sadly the quality has gone downhill. It’s now overpriced and far from the standard it once was. The only decent thing we had that day was the salt and pepper prawns. Everything else was poor.

Food was AMAZING our favourite was the Nasi Lemak, I’m on a bit of a mission to find the best version and so far this one wins hands down. We also had the duck again amazing and a winner with children. One of our party had not had crispy cereal king prawn in a long time and said this version was delicious, again also a winner with the children in the party. We also LOVED the desserts on offer and had virtually one of everything. As always my favourite was the mango pudding but it is also worth trying the Sagu Melaka which was tapioca served in the shape of a flower on cane sugar syrup. The Bubur Hitam was also really nice and not overly sweet, it was unusual as I’ve never had black rice porridge before. Special mention for the service which was super polite and friendly, the manager engaged with the children making them laugh. Atmosphere was relaxed and we all had an amazing time. Worth booking in advance as it fills up fast (not surprisingly).

Service was good and very friendly! However, food was disappointing… in particular the beef rendang which was dry and not tender. The char kuey teow was OK. I would recommend the king prawns if you do end up going though.
