I had high hopes for Gourmet Hut given its reputation, but the experience fell short. The burgers was on offer, not something that special. The buns are from Aldi, The homemade chips were too soggy, dark and greasy. Look like fried in used/ old oil. However, the main courses were not underwhelming—the "signature muddy fried chicken , few pieces of chicken cooked in Bombay potato, tasted bland and overpriced, The chicken wings are really muddy with gravy. Service was slow, even with few diners, and the staff seemed distracted. For a "gourmet" spot, the lacklustre execution didn’t justify the premium prices. No desire to visit again.

We planned to eat here after finding it was close to the hospital, and a cuisine the children would have been happy with. On first impressions the restaurant looked amazing, this quickly changed when the menus were handed out - these were greasy and dirty. On closer inspection the windows, walls, and floors were greasy too. We ordered tempura king prawns for starters costing £10, to our disappointment these were the cheap ready made tempura prawns that can be purchased from the frozen aisle at any supermarket for as little as £2. The burgers and fries tasted great, the skin on fries were freshly cut potatoes. However, the fries cost £4-5 per portion and the burgers cost £10-£14 each. The menu is cleverly put together with inviting words, but the food does not live up to expectations - a basic small Oreo milk shake is described as a ‘freak shake’ and charged at £8. What a rip off! I would have reviewed the restaurant at 2 stars but decided on 3 stars as the staff was polite and the food arrived quickly.

Came today with colleagues, everyone loved the burgers! You could taste the freshness. The Katsu chips was to die for. Good service considering they were absolutely rammed with people queuing outside. Glad we booked a table in advance and nice touch from the manager who gave us a complimentary starter. Will be back very soon

good service, everything was explained clearly. we were checked up on regularly which was nice. interior could do with a little bit of an update.. sticky floor and it was dark inside however don’t let it put you off the food! my burger was AMAZING. the buffalo chicken was quite overwhelming I wouldn’t recommend those, however the muddy chips were INSANE. proper homemade feel I can’t recommend them enough. definitely worth a try!

The classic beef cheese burger was mesmerising! The food here is halal and the owner and the employees were very friendly and the service was too good. Whoever’s in London it’s a must try!
