Izakaya pub-style venue with a rock soundtrack, serving steamed buns with meat or seafood fillings

If you’re looking for a restaurant with relaxed vibes and mouth-watering food, Flesh and Buns is a definite shout.

For starters we ordered the Fried Squid (a must if it’s ever on the menu and we didn’t regret it 🤤), the Chicken Yakitori and the Korean Fried Chicken Wings. The sauce on the wings was spicy and scrumptious, and the Chicken Yakitori was flavoured deliciously. As a main, the Salmon Teriyaki initially seemed as if it wouldn’t be very filling but we sure were wrong! The flavoursome salmon steak was cooked perfectly, and served with pickled veg. I ordered the Grilled Aubergine, which was surprisingly good! 
The best thing about the place was the loud but friendly atmosphere, you could tell everyone was having a good time! 👏🏽 Quick note, the chicken is halal!

*only the chicken is halal* Found out that all the chicken served @fleshandbuns and buns is halal. So in went and checked it out. Pictured are the Korean fried chicken wings which where absolutely fantastic. Really sticky and messy but the heat and flavour made these the best things I had. The Korean wings were by far some of the best we’ve ever had. Succulent and falling off the bone.  The grilled broccoli is also a must, flavoursome with a slight crunch. For mains, the chicken boas were crisp and tender paired perfectly with the creamy sauce. The salmon was soft and really well cooked with a slightly salty teriyaki sauce and fresh cucumber and lemon.

This place is slightly on the pricier side but definitely worth it and we would highly recommend visiting !

Oh my goodness. Second time here and the food, experience and service is just as we remembered - 10/10. The Korean Chicken Wings, Wagu Bao Buns and Basque Cheesecake is so unbelievable we go from non-stop talking to absolute silence. A very good sign! Our favourite restaurant and, tonight, Angela was a delight. Thank you!!

Food was fantastic, and so were the drinks and atmosphere. We were with the three of us and shared a sashimi platter, sushi roll, the big B and added some fried chicken too - everything was sublime! The food came out quicky and staff was super attentive. Gopi especially took great care of our party, she was very attentive and welcoming. We were sat at a long table with others, super cool and authentic japanese izakaya experience.
