I had lunch at Mahdi Restaurant. The staff were kind and welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. However, I was quite disappointed with the food. Having tried several Iranian restaurants across the UK, I expected more from Mahdi. Unfortunately, the flavors were underwhelming, and the dishes lacked the authenticity and quality I was hoping for. While the service and setting were positive, the food did not meet my expectations.

I recently visited Mahdi Iranian Restaurant and honestly, I found the experience to be just okay — nothing special. I’ve tried many Iranian restaurants before, and while the food here was decent, it definitely didn’t have the “wow” factor that the prices might suggest. One thing that disappointed me was that I didn’t receive any naan bread, yet it was still included in the bill. On top of that, there was a table fee or some kind of service charge, which felt unnecessary given that the service itself wasn’t particularly great. Overall, I think this restaurant is overrated and overpriced. The food was fine, but the extra charges and average service made it hard to justify the cost.

Amazing food, big portions, everything is tasty and the service is absolutely incredible! Everyone is so kind! And the restaurant is very nice too, good atmosphere, nice decor! 😍 Will come back very, very soon!

I been there first time with my wife; Atmosphere was good (fine dining),service was good pn time response and presentation nice, Unfortunately the main course. "Qubbeda"have smell in mince and same we observed in Chops' Piece of chiken was chewy.. Nan bread was perfect and tasty served with humus and olives. Rice was bit dry soukd beateamed with real Safron not yellow colour only. They charge us table sitting money aswell in bill. I recommend them To served food with out meat smell, especially to ladies.
