Masgouf - مطعم مسكوف

My buddy and I tried this place when we stayed nearby in London. I have had Middle Eastern food many times, but Masgouf specialized in Iraqi-style preparations. I never had that, but I loved it.

We were welcomed like family and treated like tru guests. I always appreciate that. The hummus was expertly prepared, and lamb mains were just as good. I'll come back.

We visited Masgouf for lunch, and it was great. We were the only ones in at that time, so we managed to get a good table by the doors. The staff are great and we got served very quickly. We went for a mix of starters: hoummos with meat, which was amazing, rich lentil soup, and a fresh beetroot salad with lemon juice. The mains were brilliant, I went for Kouzi with fall off the bone meat and soft puffy saffron rice. My better half went for Masgouf, which was a grilled seabass that tasted great. We also received a Mohalabiah on the house, which was sweet and fresh. Overall, a nice filling lunch for two for under £100, highly recommended!

The lamb and rice dish was really good as was the fresh vegetables and bread and olives combo. The service was attentive and overall our experience was lovely.

The best Iraqi 🇮🇶 restaurant in the UK I have tried a lot but it still the best.
They are pioneer in the grilled meat , kebab , ribs & chicken family dish beside the bread, rice , Iraqi dolma ,salads and hummus.
Rami , Rabea , Khalid & Muhammad always give the best service and hospitality. Thanks to you all guys.
